1461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 27, 2023, 02:26:15 PM
There is something Chelsea and Brighton are not telling the public. In my opinion, It is either Chelsea may have been looking for a low-budget manager or the decision to hire Potter may have been politically motivated. Why would they hire someone with no trophy record? Potter only won the Swedish Cup during his career. Chelsea is being dishonored by this move by replacing Potter with Tuchel, who has nine trophies to his name, that man does not deserve to be replaced, at least not immediately, unless there is something else going on. What shocks me the most is that Chelsea has extended his contract until 2030, that is delusional, to be honest.
Nowhere have I seen information that Chelsea are going to extend Potter's contract until 2030, I only know that he seems to have a chance before the start of next season, if the team starts next season as badly, then Potter will lose his place. Whether it is worth waiting for the next season to see what the result will be again, I do not know, because if the next season the team starts badly again, then it will not be possible to count on good results. I doubt that with current results, Potter will be extended the contract until 2030, even if he agrees to work for free.

The initial Chelsea contract with Graham Potter I'm aware of is the 5 years deal that's public for everyone, you can read more about that your self. Late February, I came across an article that wrote about his contract extension to 2030, luckily for me, I bookmarked the page, you can read more about it but I somehow doubt if Chelsea will be so foolish to make this kind of move, it could be false or perhaps the website is trying to attract traffic to his page, no club will increase the period of the contract if the person is not adding to the team and in the case of Graham potter, I can't say there is anything viable to speak of him since his arrival. Nevertheless, who knows may be he might start on a good foot comes next season.

Chelsea will repeat the same fate as the previous meeting against Real Madrid and it is indeed like fate that must be accepted that Chelsea is not equal to being able to beat Real Madrid. Especially with Chelsea's inconsistent performance, they should be lucky enough to get to this round but we shouldn't underestimate Chelsea, sometimes they could be lucky if Real Madrid made one fatal mistake in each leg. But I don't think that will happen for Real Madrid either, considering they have the most UCL titles so far, so for sure their squad is very evenly distributed in every position.

Do you think even with the latest number of acquired players, Chelsea deserves a round win because they are actually in form? I don't think so, my friend. They had the balls last season and the reason was that Tuchel had a record of Champions League in the bag, Someone like Potter, who hasn't won any, can't defeat Real Madrid, and even Liverpool, who isn't having the best of times, couldn't win a round, let alone Chelsea, who is still ranked 10th in their domestic league unless Real Madrid wants to play their usual jargons like they used to, but will they do that in the Quarter-final? No!
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 26, 2023, 02:10:31 PM
We didn't have it wrong sacking Thomas Tuchel but maybe hiring Graham Potter was when we got everything wrong.

Yes, unfortunately they chose a coach who I think is worse than Thomas Tuchel. It seems that potter can't take advantage of many good players. Potter seems confused because he has a huge spending fund, but cannot choose players according to his strategy. While Brighton currently also looks unapologetic about releasing Potter. Right now they're even better. They managed to surprise me because they could be in the top ten of the EPL at the moment.

1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 26, 2023, 01:51:06 PM
As you all will say that Still there is almost 1 and half year away for USA elections but still I want to highlight this option because here there will be almost in millions of bets that people will do and also that's based on speculations and also someone's interest.
I think that this could be one of the biggest Bets we can see because a whole world Knows america and it's superpower and it's has international recognization because of it's influence to the whole world.
So what are your speculations over this USA elections. And I know that everybody has their own speculations and also wins and also loose. So let's see what will happen?

My country recently held elections,  I searched all the bookmakers to bets on the events, but none were available, leaving me disappointed and the opportunity to win a significant sum of money. I am familiar with the US, but I lack the confidence necessary to wager on this kind of election because I don't live there and am unaware of local events and the performance of the economy with the present candidate. I also don't want to base my decision on what the media reports every day.

Elections are not decided on social media, but based on what I have seen and read, I would bet for Democrats if I had free bets. Biden will want to remain in that position, and I haven't seen any other genuine candidates except Trump and I doubt if he'll be returning to the White House with his hate speeches.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 26, 2023, 01:36:30 PM
With the big victory that the French national team won, there was a big problem from the Dutch defense and I saw so much pressure and the French national team made good use of it, at least the betting market was happy with the French victory because this was easy to predict.

Lukaku made a hat trick, this is also a topic of conversation after he was not very good for a long time due to his injury, will Inter Milan change their minds about Lukaku's future with this appearance?

Well, the results of last night's match were quite pleasant because the bets that were placed won.

Yes, it was a good evening, Lukaku is gradually returning to the peak of his form, I don’t know how this can affect, in my opinion he is doing well, he has a permanent place in the team, his goal brought Inter to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, so he has everything fine. By the way, Mbappe also continues to demonstrate his high level, France wins as expected, I also expected goals scored from the Netherlands, but this did not happen.

It's sad that Mbape's hope of winning the Champions League this year has once again been thwarted; the young man deserves one, but from what I can see, I doubt he can achieve that at PSG. I had always underestimated him until I saw him put in another performance at the just-finished world cup, his hat trick was amazing, and his ability to lead France now that he has been awarded the captain's armband is evidence that he is capable.
I don't think it is too early to predict that France will advance from this group stage, Greece is fortunate to have Gibraltar as their opponent for their opening game, but I can't tell for sure if they can continue, Netherlands is the side I anticipate finishing second in group B.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 26, 2023, 12:56:53 PM
I live in Australia and we have no taxes on all gambling winnings (lottery, hose racing, sports betting and casinos).
I know the USA has gambling taxes and I think it's ridiculous.
You are risking your own money and if you win you are penalised.
I'm curious as to how many other users have to pay taxes on their winnings.

The US will tax anything that comes with profits, and that's why I love Africa as a whole because the citizens wouldn't accept this. In my country, your net gambling winnings are not subject to taxation under the law, not even withdrawal fees when you withdraw your money using Fiat because it goes straight to the bank. The only tax you pay is VAT, which is usually levied against everyone when their income exceeds a certain amount.

The US can tax anything as long as the citizen is bringing money into their country, which seems cruel to me, perhaps because I'm not used to it and my country doesn't operate that way. However, when I give it some serious thought, the citizens are benefiting from all of their taxes because they receive basic and social amenities for their money, unlike in Africa where things are not really working that much.
1467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don’t buy Bitcoin when FUD is over on: March 24, 2023, 10:35:09 AM
Don’t buy Bitcoin when FUD is over because it’s very hard to timing when will it happened or else you will be buying at high price.

Buy Bitcoin when FUD is upcoming while the price of Bitcoin doesn’t move much or dump harder. You will see the chart that it’s just sideways despite multiple FUD is piling up. This means that mean that there’s still a lot of solid Bitcoin holders while weak hands is leaving. Doing this will give you high chance to purchase on the bottom trend.  Wink

***Not a financial advice.

Buy but don't buy to hold for a long time, from the current price of bitcoin, if I decide to buy bitcoin at this price now with a significant amount of money, I can still make 50% from this rally before the next halving, which is less than a year away, that is the advantage of following market rally but it must be done with caution so that you don't get caught or dump on, this is the time you see new traders acting degens because this is the time to make sweet profits without doing more research of any kind but as I said, caution must be put in place so as not to fall for fake pumps.
1468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is most reliable person? on: March 24, 2023, 10:13:29 AM
When it comes to bitcoin wallets is totally a kind of private pants for females and boxers for male. Bitcoin wallets is like ATM pin which is assigned to individuals which banks do not respect another person on your behave. Is personal identification number, that's what bitcoin wallets, private keys and seed are. But to some point because of love, trust and spouse lips, we give out our details freely for this person to access.

A private key is not a personal Identification number and a Bitcoin wallet is not like an ATM, these are two different technologies that operate on separate models, Private key doesn't identify who you are but enable you to prove ownership and spend your bitcoin. Bitcoin wallet just helps you to manage your private keys, it doesn't have any similarities to an ATM at all.

Quote
Can we also show our bitcoin key to someone closer, maybe love, spouse, next of kin?
Better still between someone; who introduced and taught you about bitcoin, a friend or family member and your children who's most preferred and reliable person to give out our information about your bitcoin?

Except you are ready to lose that Bitcoin at any time, your wallet seed phrase or private keys don't have to be revealed to anyone because when it becomes compromised, anyone can deny they didn't spend your bitcoin and you will have no one to blame. If you must give access to any bitcoin, make sure it is the one you don't want to protect again, maybe you feel like giving that one out but your main private keys must remain a mystery people should never know.
1469  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best platform for crypto exchange on: March 24, 2023, 09:56:23 AM
Hello friends, I really wanna start investing and using crypto on daily basis Please let me know what are the best ways to do it? Where should I start? Thanks a lot in advance!

Exchanges are very difficult to vouch for, picking the best is subjective. However, there is a single rule that protects everyone which is never live your coin on any exchange, this sound not like a serious warning but it is one the best free pieces of advice you will ever receive as a recommendation from anyone, it is one of the underrated dangers of a centralized exchange, move your coins to your external wallet as soon your order becomes settle. The number two piece of advice I will give you is to avoid KYC, it will come back to hunt you because you are putting your privacy and information at stake, some people have been identified with bitcoin transactions and this is as a result of KYC they did in an exchange, so think abou the precuations you use any of them.
1470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 24, 2023, 09:40:44 AM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough? I'm making up to 10$ per day and I don't want something that will tie me down financially since I have other things I'm using the money for aka responsibilities so all I can afford is 1$ per day, also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?
Investment depends on individual ability. Because investing $1 per day is $30 per month. And in this case many earn only 100 to 150 dollars per month how can that person invest 30 dollars for every month where in every country it costs 150 to 200 dollars to run a family every month. So if you can do that then surely it is enough. Because if you invest one dollar per day it becomes $365 in one year and if you can continue it for 10 years it will be $3,650 and if it is bitcoin investment then you will get about 10-20x profit from here in 10 years. So after ten years you can earn approximately 50K to 100K dollars by investing one dollar per day. It's just an idea there is no guarantee that this will actually happen. So invest based on your own research

If I understood the OP's quote properly, he emphasized responsibilities and, by that, I think he meant bills rather than being married and having kids, From his earnings, it is clear that he is single and that his income justifies everything. If you are not living beyond your means and trying to impress others, you can actually save $30 for investments each month. Just keep in mind that sacrifice and discipline are crucial if you want to invest; if you lack either, you might end up spending the money you set aside for the future. Also, you projected his investments to 10 years so quickly that I don't think that OP will earn an average of $10 each day for 10 years consequetively.
1471  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 23, 2023, 03:15:55 PM
In my country i observed so many people doing rally and blame the government why the basic needs price rise and the salary is still very low and not enough for daily expenses, is this the effect of the Ukraine and russia war that makes the gas or crude oil so high at price and they pass the gas expenses to the product and it ends to very high price of the basic needs that make us very poor, I see government has a move to resolve the problem but many people are still blaming the government.

Poverty exists in every country, but the proportion varies depending on the rich-poor ratio; only the government has the powerful tool to determine this ratio, which demonstrates how a country's government is performing. There is no way for every citizen of a country to have the same financial status in either a capitalist or a social system of government or even a traditional system of government, but the government can suppress the level of poverty so that life is comfortable for everyone and it does not appear as if the poor masses are abandoned while the rich people enjoy the economy alone.

In reality, if the government fails to fight poverty, it will harm even the wealthy since no one will offer some essential necessities for the wealthy, such as agriculture and products, for example, provision of a good mechanized agricultural system for the less privileged farmers would assist grow the economy and the availability of food in the country, that how the government should give and take to fight poverty, the farmers will have money and the government will have their tax and enough food for everyone.
1472  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 23, 2023, 02:42:37 PM
I don't understand why things are so unspeakably hard to people. I couldn't hard a good feelings for some days after thinking of what must have trans-led this suffering of financial hardship in societies. Money is rare this days, am going through a lot but I just hope things well and better soon. Is not really funny here.

What do you mean when you say money is scarce and difficult to come by? Are you working but not being paid at the end of the month? I believe those questions must be addressed in order to completely comprehend your context. Assume you are working, the challenge that every country is facing is inflation, and salaries are no longer worth anything; once you receive your paycheck, the house necessities alone will consume everything, and having a decent life is now difficult, that is all I can say with the situation of money today.

Quote
My children are at home chase from school, I could not pay fees again. What could be the cause of scarcity of cash?

Sorry, but the school would have to pay their staff too, I know things a hard a bit these days but that is why you are the parent, try hard and source for money and send them back to school, no matter the difficulties, make sure you provide food and education for your children, it is very important.
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 23, 2023, 08:09:25 AM
there will always have some sort of inflation
the push pull for sure
but that is dependent on many variables etc, at least it is possible to get rid of one form of\ inflation if the entire market place was based on a money system that had a limited supply
what are your thoughts on what if the majority of the population all of a sudden sold all their fiat and put it into a crypto? like BTC, do u think the system or part of the traditional finance system see some type of impact/disruption?

Since 1862 when dollar notes have been into existence, the FED knows inflations better than anyone and they know the solutions than anyone but the government is known to be crooked, if they limit the number of dollars in circulation, they wouldn't be able to do their dirty democracy system of government and agenda, they wouldn't be able to print more money and he sovereignty upon his people will be hard. However, if today people decide to convert all their fiats into bitcoin, I'm quite not sure which direction bitcoin will follow after what I witness with USDC FUD last week. USDT and USDC have an impact on bitcoin, I wonder how these relationships will end for bitcoin and the entire market.
1474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 23, 2023, 07:57:24 AM
Hey guys,

so I have been buying BTC (and admittedly ETH) since October/November 2020. I have been sticking to that strategy and
even put larger amounts when there was a steep decline in a short period of time, everything on my cold wallet, nothing left on exchanges.

With prices starting to slowly rise again (not sure if I really like that, always have the feeling to never have enough), what would you think
is enough to retire in 2032? I know that nobody can tell that with certainity, but would love to hear your estimates:

I think 10 BTC and 100 ETH would set you up for good, so once that is reached, I would stop accumulating, what is your plan?

What exactly do you mean by retirement? Do you mean I should sell all of my bitcoins after holding them for ten years? I think this is arbitrary; 100 bitcoins may be sufficient for you, but trust me when I tell it is average money to another person, and why would you retire from Bitcoin in 10 years? Is owning a bitcoin for life and selling it whenever you feel like it now a profession from which one must retire? That's something I'm not sure about.

Have you also had the thought of it crashing back to your initial investments or the price that you bought? "What if" you bought the bitcoin at an average price of $30,000 and then in the next 5 years and the price surged to $300k and then another 5 years it came down again due to unforeseen circumstances like we did have so many instances of exchange insolvencies and Luna moments, how do you retire from this kind of situations? These are the things you should consider when you talk about retirement.
1475  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 23, 2023, 07:23:40 AM
I don't trust the same guy who was found guilty of various counts for manipulating orders on the Bitmex exchange. This is more like another deluded Mcafee that the Bitcoin community has missed so much, they are not different from the way they all do their predictions, but Bitcoin welcomes everyone, but the smart ones understand the ways of bitcoin better.

If Bitcoin reaches a million dollars today, I will be happy, but I feel that when making these predictions, one must be very logical, you don't just open your mouth and vomit whatever comes to the mind, it must be supported by an explanation, even if it is still a prediction and speculation.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 22, 2023, 03:28:18 PM
Real Madrid has been a good team. Though am not a fan. They have not really failed to prove them selves better than any other team. This is football, a team perforems well according to their team work. Madrid have tried their possible best to have been on the second position they are in La Liga.

This is what some people don't understand, the fact that you're a king in football doesn't mean everything will continue to be in your favor, you can't have the result every time the way you expected, I don't think other teams are here to play as well, they are here to play to win as well and when there is determination, nothing can stop them and that is exactly what Xavi has done with Barcelona, Real Madrid is good but Xavi deserves this chance as well.

Quote
Barcelona knew that real madrid were going to win them so they became aggresive and the mistake madrid made was not defending their first goal, they became reluctant and Barcelona took advantageof that. Even with that, i believe in madrid, their next match will be greatert than the previous one.
I love their team work.

So did Real Madrid knows that they were going to lose the match to Barcelona? None of them knew anything about the outcome, in fact, the two teams have no idea of the outcome. They only have the determination of ready to win and that was what happened.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 22, 2023, 03:10:46 PM
Manchester United together with Juventus are for me the main favorites to win the Europa League during this season.
My favorite team to win the Europa league this season is Juventus, i know that manchester united are very strong but i don't feel they will win it. Juventus started playing really well after 15 points was deducted from them in the seria A, their good form has taken them a little bit up in the table, but i don't think it would be enough for them to qualify for the champions league. So this Europa league is like their only chance to qualify for the champions league next season, so i think Juventus are going give this tournament everything they have, and i feel they are going to win it.

Politics aside, Juventus is made of good players, football politics on one side, if not for the FIFA penalty, they would be sitting right next to Napoli in their domestic league but even at that, they are still very strong in form but then a comparison between them and Manchester United is a little bit not off, why because we all know that when Italia team and Spain teams meet with Europe teams, their capabilities are not always the same, the English Premier League are so good making out of loopholes, I don't know what will happen that some good teams I look upto are out but Manchester United is the team I look forward to taking this league.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 22, 2023, 11:55:44 AM
Tottenham has played their 28th match and collected 49 points, while Newcastle has only played their 27th match against Manchester United and has a 2 point difference with Tottenham, that means there is still a chance for Newcastle to finish in the top four.

Tottenham current position in the standings is still not safe enough, no doubt about it. As I can see in flashscore.com, Newcastle played 26 matches only while Tottenham played 28 matches already. It means that if Newcastle win the 2 matches difference (1 is enough) to overtake Tottenham's position. Other team that may overtake Tottenham position is Brighton, they played 25 matches only so far with 42 points (7 points difference). If Brighton win all the 3 matches difference, they will collect 51 points.

I'm not entirely sure where Tottenham will finish the season, but this situation seems remarkably reminiscent of last year, when Arsenal was in the top four while they were in fifth place, and when the final matches were coming up, they switched things up and were able to finish the season in fourth place. I believe the same thing is about to occur now. Newcastle was a monster a few weeks ago, even holding down third place in the table, but I don't believe they are in good enough shape to return to that position. It is safe to predict that Tottenham will hold that spot until the end of the season.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Placing bet on WWE on: March 22, 2023, 11:22:22 AM
From my understanding of wrestle mania WWE,I see it as a fixed fight, which there is an agreement of who will win the fight. Despite all these people still buy tickets to watch the fight. I don't see this as a transparent fight, but people still bet on this fight. Is it that they are ignorant of this fight fixing or they are addicted to gambling and just bet on whatever come across them. As a gambler will you bet on such fight, when you know that the fight is fixed and the outcome of the fight is not for real,or will you go ahead to bet for fun?

As a gambler, I respect my money. I don't place bets on events because other gamblers are doing the same thing. Instead, I gamble when I'm confident that the outcome will be in my favor. Although I used to like watching wrestling as a kid, I can't imagine a mature man like me will watch WWE entertainment with the intention of placing bets on the fighters. I don't believe I've ever seen a casino or sports book advertise for players to place bets with them. This type of sport is genuinely entertaining for those who enjoy a fake fights, but I doubt that even gambling platforms will want to provide wagers on unpredictable events because doing so would be a waste of their time and money.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 22, 2023, 11:04:40 AM
You should also consider the result from the previous matches in the domestic league as well. Ac milan is having horrible results against napoli this season. I doubt if ac milan will be qualified for the semifinal of UCL.

Milan is having a horrible run, and the point margin between them and Napoli tells a lot about them, but have you looked at their prior matches? The recent results do not bode well for Napoli, as they either win or lose to Milan; I hope this does not happen again in this league.

Quote

Going all in on napoli is a must for people who wanna try to take the safe zone for their money. It's likely that the majority of people in football will be taking napoli as the main choice for the next round of UCL. I thought that this match gonna be the easiest match to predict by us.

Napoli has demonstrated that they have every chance of winning every match they have played since the group stage, but I have a doubt that Ac Milan will want to prove that they are stronger outside of their home League. I will rather place my bet on Napoli to win or draw, at least for safety.

Quote
It's caused by in another match all of teams were facing opponents from a different league. That was making it a bit hard to predict compared with the match between napoli vs ac milan.
It's easy money for anyone who pick napoli. I have no faith in ac milan due to the poor performances in domestic league. Napoli shall able to beat ac milan easily with huge scores.

Ac Milan has a solid strong defense whenever they play against Napoli, and if they follow the same pattern, having plenty of goals will be offset by them, and even if Napoli wins, the goals won't be like the sprew we're used to seeing from other matches.
