1461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now Bitcoin today on: October 20, 2019, 12:23:46 PM
In my standard I wouldn't call that a falling wedge. The wedge is extended over a too long period of time, now that doesn't mean Bitcoin can't reverse here. As a matter of fact as long as it is consolidating in this zone, my bullish inclination raises. We're currently in an accumulation or redistribution phase. Hopefully we won't head down and hold the ground here. Otherwise what can I say.. more cheap Bitcoin for the hoarders.  Cheesy
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 20, 2019, 11:55:48 AM
Great game from Juventus today and it was really nice to see Ronaldo on the scoresheet once again but I really don't know why Sarri prefers Higuain to Dybala when it comes to which striker starting the game first. Higuain is kinda slow compared to Dybala and that kind of slows down the attack of Juventus.

Had a blast yesterday night after recouping some of my losses on La Liga. Cristiano Ronaldo and the co. did their job, with some emotions, but they did it. Powerful shot from CR in the 19' minute that set the pace for the rest of the match. I agree that Higuain is more like a number 9, not a playmaker and speed focused player like Dybala. I think that Dybala and CR make a much better attacking couple than with Higuain. Placing a small bet on Milan today. Should be an easy match.
1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Gold, USD on: October 20, 2019, 09:30:13 AM
On a very optimistic point of view I do think that in time 1 Satoshi will be equal to 1 ounce of gold because I expect that the value of Gold to decrease as we become more educated about what a true store-of-value is. The numbers in the OP thread are very interesting. So I made a calculation and if the federal reserve of USA of $250 trillion would consist of Bitcoin then the price of BTC should be around $11 million dollars in purchase power today. And that is a fair value, I didn't even take into account what happens if more big countries make national reservers denominated in BTC.

1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum and Satoshi on: October 20, 2019, 07:03:14 AM
Craig Wright could have proven in many ways that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, but he is NOT. For example he could just simply send a signed message from his addresses that has BTC not moved for years. Craig Wright is just a fraudster who just wants to reap rewards and free publicity from media who still gives him attention just because some public still believes he could be the real one.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 20, 2019, 04:09:01 AM
What kind of offline wallet does he have? If it is on a hardware wallet then there's no way someone could have stolen the private keys unless he lost the hardware. On the other hand if he had the private key on a paper wallet and kept it at sight and maybe a had video conversation through fb messenger, the other party might have seen and noted down the priv key, but imo that's highly improbable. As an advice to protect your offline wallet be it on a hardware or on paper you should not keep copies of the priv key on your "hot" wallet aka your day-to-day use computer as you're exposed to a number of threats. Then be sure only and maybe a couple of ones you fully trust have access to it.
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early investors and adopters backing out or losing their hope is a warning sign. on: October 19, 2019, 07:50:08 PM
Smart people won't ever satisfy with just getting money. You will see that people who are poor and intelligent will first be only about the money then once they get it they all realise that this life is not about how much dollars and wealth you can hoard, but it is about love, kindness, bringing smiles on other people's faces, helping people in need and overall making a better world.

When looking at Bitcoin, the majority of people see either the potential to make money or they see just pain because they've lost so much due to it. Personally I believe that Bitcoin will make a fundamental change on our planet and society. Only time will tell us that, but I'm trying to contribute in my way. Keep calm and care about Bitcoin!
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 19, 2019, 07:12:21 PM
Barca is crushing Eibar. It is almost minute 85' and is a 3-0. So if Real Madrid doesn't beat Mallorca tonight, they will regain the first position in La Liga. That's why I'm going to try a parlay today with Real Madrid's victory with 1.55 odds together with Atletico Madrid's victory against Valencia. It is going to be a rough match for Atletico, but they are very strong when playing at home & they need 3 points to stay close to the first place.

On the other hand, Real should have an easy victory tonight. Thus my parlay has a multiplier of over 2 so that meets my criteria  Wink

And there goes my parlay today as well. It was a very close match as I expected between Atletico and Valencia ended with a correct score 1-1. Perhaps I should have played safely and place a 1X on the match. Nevertheless now Mallorca just opened the score against Real.. Quite a brutal night for betting.
1469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin will have another inflation bug? on: October 19, 2019, 06:53:59 PM
Bugs could appear from time to time, but hopefully they won't be harmful & moreover I hope the developers working with Bitcoin and blockchain technology are rigorously supervising the Bitcoin network for potential flaws. Just because Bitcoin lasted so many years so far, it has demonstrated proof-of-time so as time passes it is less likely for big flaws to show up. Here is some food for thought: what do you think is Satoshi doing behind the scenes? (if she/he/they are still alive)
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people use facebook libra coin? on: October 19, 2019, 06:30:11 PM
I don't think they have released a delivery date yet as they have encountered a lot of legal problems and hurdles. However Libra is going to be a centralized stable currency backed by garbage fiat currencie like USD, EUR, GBP, etc. It will surely find its use as it will be integrated within one of the biggest social networks, but I don't think it will affect Bitcoin at all. It does not have the purist characteristics of Bitcoin. It is more similar to money in your bank account than to a currency if you ask me, but I might be biased here..
1471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Journey to the Mars,Elon Musk vision! on: October 19, 2019, 06:14:22 PM
I have a lot of respect for Elon Musk and making close deadlines is a way for auto-motivation, but I don't think 5 years is a feasible timeframe. Maybe 15-20 years, but seriously now.. living on Mars is a lot of years ahead of us and second of all where is he going to find 1 million people willing to move planets?! lol  Of course that colonization of other planets is something that needs to come in the future as there is only so much population that the Earth can support.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 19, 2019, 05:43:28 PM
I've just lost my parlay on La Liga today so I wanna regain something on the last Italian League match tonight. Placing a 1 and over 2,5 goals on this event.  Juventus is in a great form as they have a 5 winning streak so far and Bologna hasn't defeated Juve in the last 5 matches H2H. They are playing at home, Cristiano Ronaldo is playing so they have all the chances on their side.
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From financial debt to financial stability- thanks to bitcoin on: October 19, 2019, 05:19:53 PM
That's a very inspiring story and should be an example for others to never give up no matter in what situation they find themselves in! I love these kind of stories and I'm sure that Bitcoin made a lot of good around the world, but also a lot of bad to those who were greedy and got overleveraged credit packages from banks to buy crypto in the hope they will get millionaires over night. Well, crypto is kind of a moralist too if you ask me. Those who are patient and believe in the technology will get rewarded while the "hungry for power" ones will get hurt one way or another.
1474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just type 'bitcoin' in youtube and sort the view by week and then by day :> on: October 19, 2019, 04:22:54 PM
That's true in a big part, but there are some good analysts on YouTube that don't make it for money. You've got to learn to make the difference between marketers and youtube guys and real analysts. And more importantly I don't recommend basing your decisions on their analysis. 99.99% are not financial advisors and even if they were they wouldn't offer it for free over youtube - be sure of that. In this case ask yourself why some people would pay for his advice while they can easily get it from yb for free?
1475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NON-ICO Altcoins on: October 19, 2019, 04:06:39 PM
I wouldn't filter altcoins projects by this criteria. I mean it does not mean that if they were funded through an ICO that the token's model is broken. The most successful altcoins in the industry have been funded through an ICO not STO or IEO. Look at Ethereum, IOTA, NEO, STRATIS, etc. Just because you have participated in some low quality ICOs that doesn't mean your next experience should be the same. If I were you I'd base my decisions on a thorough analysis of the team, whitepaper and token economy of any altcoin/token I prepare to invest in.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dictaorships & how cryptocurrencies can bypass their control on: October 19, 2019, 03:45:30 PM
Cryptocurrencies are a powerful weapon in hand of freedom advocates indeed. I hope that Bitcoin and crypto will be the final wave that will eradicate dictatorship from the Earth's surface. Just think about how wonderful would be our world if we would all be in a democracy. No more communists and dictatorship, just freedom and demos & cratos( from greek). However a harsh dictators might set high penalties for those ones who are caught using cryptocurrencies, thus making many people don't use them out of fear.
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: October 19, 2019, 03:25:07 PM
It will also be interesting for me to watch him and see if they will restore confidence in such projects.I hope he does not repeat the fate of other similar gold-backed

It is definitely very encouraging that they do provide liquidity for the token and you have that automated exchange feature on their website. That does show they have the finances required to back up all they've said. Also the fact that the audit is made by a swiss company is a big up. Even if you are the most skeptic you should grant the Digital Gold team some kind of trust. What would really make me comfortable is if they could integrate the token with some retailers and be a little more transparent on social media. I don't actually know who is in the team that controlls the company behind Digital Gold.
1478  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank: If The Entire System Collapses, Gold Will Be Needed To Start Over on: October 19, 2019, 01:23:04 PM
First of all GOLD does not retain its value in periods of crisis. I don't consider it to be a viable hedge against economic downturns. As an example in the 2008 recession, GOLD price plummeted by over 30%! After all it is just a metal with special properties and some use cases in industries. Why would it keep its value? - because it has been considered a store-of-value by population for thousands of year? - That could be a reason, but maybe there are better hedges out there like hmm.. food or even better.. BITCOIN. I believe that once GOLD won't be considered a store of value anymore its price will go down very fast.

1480  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex is leaving Circle - Discussion on: October 19, 2019, 11:27:04 AM
Poloniex has lost interest from traders' a long time ago. Any respectable trader I know trades on big exchanges like Bistamp, Gemini or Kraken or if he is more altcoin focused he'd trade on Binance or Bittrex. Trust and reputation are things that once lost someone needs to make exponentially more efforts to regain them. BUT, changing the owner and manager with a big Asian firm which is willing to invest heavily into the exchange could be a nice game changer for the space. However it will be very hard for Poloniex to compete with already established exchange Binance.
