1461  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-13] Mt. Gox kept exchange open despite knowledge of large-scale theft on: March 13, 2014, 10:21:20 PM
So they made roughly $100k in trading fees on average after knowing they were insolvent...

I wonder why they stayed open... pretty tough to understand???

They made 10x of that by inside trading and manipulating market. Some how ppl missed such obvious thing.

Got a link to proof of that?

No1 have proof, just like their insolvency..... until ppl found out its too late.

You're probably one of those ppl who believed they're not insolvent... and asked.... where is the proof?

WTF is this https://blockchain.info/address/1FB1Wry957GoPuasrwP9AZXj63P1won3dS

It won't get confirmed but I'm curious. I never saw that  Shocked

Edit: Now it shows 0 bitcoins again, probably just a bug. If you took a pic please upload it here Smiley

Shame for a long time member like you made such a noob mistake : relying only on blockchain.info.

Next time crosscheck it with blockexplorer will you?
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction reversability would be a BAD thing on: March 12, 2014, 07:37:47 PM
Title changed.  Original post the same.

I probably shouldn't have posted in the general forum, where the quality of the discourse has clearly degenerated to a point where it is hardly worth posting.

Read the first reply to your OP....

Lame....

Such a waste of time discussing with you because you obviously dont understand.... Too bad some members here didnt value their time as much as i do.

Chao
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see in an exchange? on: March 12, 2014, 07:33:46 PM
TO ALL

You cant never have it all. Nothing can be perfect, there will always be compromise.... so pick what you want the most.

Just a friendly reminder Wink

1Million?(Didnt read the article recognize the story and video)

12,500 BTC per month at the current rates.

~$8,125,000

His hardware investment was a million, I think.. ?

Hes a really lucky(smart) man right about now then

Nope, let me explain to noobs

Hes the authorized North America reseller of Bitfury..... He competes directly with his customers.... and guess where are all the preorders money went to?

Many ppl was "waiting" for their mining gear.... and eventually Dave just offer to "refund" anyway who cant "wait"

Yup, the asshole use his customers money to fund his mining farm..... after he recoup the cost of the gear, he then shipped them out.

The first batch he did ship them out fairly and it got him TONs of money for "second" batch.....

There you go noobs, learn your lessons yet? I've warned ppl of not giving money to anyone thats building their own farm  (Avalon, BFL, ASICminer....etc) but no.... idiots are blinded by greed.

Megabigpower is one of the only companies that DID deliver on time or pay for it.  My order was a few weeks late, I was paid the full BTC amount I would have earned.  Problem with a board?  Fixed!

Compare to BFL and others where current pre-orders (some paid almost half a year ago) are more expensive per GH than immediately available hardware yet no solid delivery date is in sight.

I stopped buying when I understood he was competing with us and have switched to another company with better pricing.

A few weeks late ..... because its sitting on one of his shelves that you saw in video. Your order makes him enough money for a free mining gear.

BBC News story here.

Price should rocket if this actually happens.

Why would that necessarily happen? could you make a more brief explanation?

Thanks!

Try to use your tiny brain to follow ok?

Because it increases liquidity .....

1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: just been hacked all btc gone trojan in minerd for maxcoin on: March 11, 2014, 09:57:35 PM
somehow someone or something has got into my pc and stole all my bitcoin.
Sounds like a personal problem to me. See my signature.

Don't come whining here again, or I will be forced to point out all the red flags in your obvious and despicable money-grab of a post.

The most obvious indicator that your post is utter bullshit is this, "someone or something". What a dipshit you are. GTFO.

Why don't you try spinning your tales on the forums for altcoins? Those people are probably less intelligent than the Bitcoin community.

Hey halfwit your signature says "Anyone who creates a thread soliciting donations on this forum should be mocked and despised"

Where in his thread does he solicit donations?Huh

because he removed it? I mean this forum sucks donkey balls, and the admin rather use $10 mill in donation to fck holes and smoke cracks.
1475  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lost your money with MTGox? I have an idea to turn their failure in our success! on: March 11, 2014, 09:55:00 PM

MtGox has a know-how and trained staff? OP please become a comedian...
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2014 is going to be a GOOD year for bitcoin they said... on: March 11, 2014, 01:04:18 PM
I guess I got my hopes up. So much drama and we're only in March! Although I still have full confidence in bitcoins future, I can't help but think the publics perception of bitcoin has been damaged a lot recently. Lot's of thefts/fraud/possible criminal activity being reported, of course that's all the media report on anyway. But damn, when do you ever hear of a 500 MILLION DOLLAR THEFT in the real world? Blows my mind! This has affected a lot of bitcoin users too. I for one lost all but 2btc of my holdings thanks to mtgox (and 50btc). Not only did I lose a fair amount of confidence but I am also no longer a strong holder of coins anymore. With no fiat to buy back in again I just feel like an outsider looking into the bitcoin world. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I wonder what drama will unfold next...

(No FUD intended)

All these are not problems with bitcoin itself!!!!

Yea I know that and I'm sure the OP knows that still we are both as he said outsiders looking in now. Undecided

The little I have left I was going to get some mining gear but for the life of me I'm finding it hard to find some that's not vaporware/preorder/outright scam.

oh pls..... i can have sympathy for the OP, but you...? nah....

You lost money because of greed. The sooner you admit it the faster you can move on.

You were the one thats fcking wiring money into MtGox hoping to buy cheap coins....(after they stopped btc withdrawal) despite many warnings on here. Stop who gives a shit about your lost now?
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost btc on: March 11, 2014, 03:09:50 AM
With only 21 million coins to exist and the high likelihood people will lose them (lots have been lost already), how does this not kill the idea of btc?

Dont get me wrong, I love it, but theres some common sense questions I can't talk myself out of.

Another one is what's the goal of this to replace?  USD/EUR/GOLD/etc?

If cash its flawed in the sense that there's only 21m.  am I to believe 1 btc will be worth 1m?  btc would have to reach 1m in order for the smallest fraction of a btc allowed to be worth 1 cent.  With btc at 1m that makes anyone with 100k btc the richest person in the world and makes Satoshi Nakamoto and multi-trillionaire.

stop making threads until you actually read about bitcoins.

And no 10min isnt enough.

chao

Time to go back to Speculation and troll more.... Or you actually gave up on that?
