1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiner's with Zero investment. on: December 08, 2021, 09:26:15 PM
Some bitcoiner's haven't invested a single $ in bitcoin till now, there are many early adopters who haven't invested a single dollar in cryptocurrencies.
maybe many of you who entered during 2017 bull run will not believe it, but it's true many are still here who never invested anything in cryptocurrencies.
If you are the one its beautiful to share your story as this may become an interesting talk...
I have not invested anything in cryptocurrency since I got to know about it. Everything I have been getting is through the works that I have been doing. Although the first time that I got to know about Bitcoin, I was making use of the Xapo wallet and there were really some cool ways that one could earn those days and one of them was through faucets that were paying really well then and as the market kept increasing in value, the Satoshis got through these faucets comes to worth even more.

But, faucets were not my main source of income, got a lot of contracts through LinkedIn and usually told my clients to pay me through Bitcoin, and that was how I was able to gather huge amounts of Bitcoin.
Its a good thing that you had end up earning huge amount of bitcoin at the present without using your fiat to start it all. I think there are a lot here that are paid in bitcoin from their own jobs or skills in crypto and by keeping and hodling them in their wallet, they end up having a huge amount in years. So its not just through fiat that we can make investments in bitcoin, we can also earn from it from our own hardworks and expertise that our clients are ending up paying or rewarding us with bitcoin.
1462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: December 08, 2021, 07:45:52 AM
Never sell in loss mean hold for long term but its not always work because sometime we take entry when price is on peak and then down 10% . if not sold price down 50% or 100% like Shiba. Those people who bought shiba at peak and now 100% down, this phrase not work for them.
I think this phrase only works on top coins have high usecase like Dot,Eth,ADA,Sol etc.
If you are buying coins at a peak price, then that will be very difficult for you once you see the price drops drastically after you bought it. This is the best time that you should put stop loss to minimize your losses. But if you are buying at a low price and target to sell at its peak, even if you witness series of prices dumping as long as you are holding for long term, the situation won't bother you at all. Never sell for a loss will only work if you are for short term profits, but if you are for long term, of course you know exactly that you will never sell if the price is in downtrend.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying in this market downturn? on: December 08, 2021, 07:10:47 AM
Well not yet but if I have extra money I really want to grab this opportunity to buy some cheap cryptos maybe I buy more cardano and cake but for now the value of my cryptos are down so I'm still holding and wait to recover the price so hopefully in this month.
For me, i still want to focus on bitcoin and really want to accumulate more of it as much as i can. I have seen how bitcoin dropped its price in the recent days and all i've been thinking is to grab the chance and luckily i have an additional of it in my portfolio. My next target is to look more on altcoins but since my funds is not enough, so all i can do is to keep hodling them and just wait for its peak price to reach so i can start selling some of them and make profits. Altcoins might be risky but if we have chosen those potential and solid altcoins, the profits are definitely worth taking the risk.
1464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 08, 2021, 06:34:44 AM
Heres a critical point, a downtrend that we need to outlast and beat to continue this slight recovery from the sell.   I'm looking for price to handle itself positively past the 49k area or continue negatively as per prior price action.

The critical confirmation to negative resolution of this current sideways movement would be to trade below 46900 on 4hr bars, I think that could be an important point to observe.
I see that today bitcoin is starting to correct, although not too much but it looks like the bitcoin price is starting to slowly rise again, in the last 24 hours the Bitcoin price has started to rise to almost 7.87% from the previous price below $49K, although the upward trend is not enough strong but at least it shows that bitcoin is recovering very quickly at the moment.

We need to go over $52,500 in my opinion to be able to say that we are out of the bearish cycle for now.

But the price just seems to be hovering around $50k-$51k for the meantime, but it's better if we take it slowly and not go spike again. Maybe there are more buyers obviously that are not afraid to gamble right now because the price is cheap at ~$49k.

And maybe the news about the Omicron variant has settled down a bit that's why we have a good rally in the last 24 hours. So let's see and be positive that it will continue this week and try to attempt $52k.
I think $52k is very much possible within this week since we are now seeing bitcoin above $50k and to think that we are already out of the bearish looked market, then hopefully the present value can go straight forward to $55k and then finally $60k. The Omicron variant may affected the market but did not created a huge impact and that is why bitcoin is now starting to recover. And before we knew we are close to year end, bitcoin has already reached a new ATH maybe $70k-$80k which are closely possible. This is the reason why hodling bitcoin this time is still the best option to make.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: December 07, 2021, 09:34:46 PM
Regarding the benefits you get from holding bitcoin and why we usually prefer holding bitcoin instead of holding altcoins for me the most important thing is I know what I buy and what I hold because we know bitcoin and we know how it's working but whenever you are talking about any altcoin there is usually an unclear whitepaper full of lie and most of the assets are being controlled by the owners directly or indirectly which is dangerous and this can be the reason of price manipulation. Generally, I prefer bitcoin because I trust it and there is much more market cap compared to altcoins which make bitcoin safer than altcoins.
Investors have moved in into bitcoin because there are clear profits that are increasing every year due to bitcoin's price that is always appreciating in value. Aside from having a higher market cap, bitcoins have more guarantees too that they will always recover from all dips compared to altcoins that some are even losing their value and end up as dead coins. Even in my own personal view, bitcoin has higher advantage to other cryptos or stocks market so i don't have to panic in times correction or bearish season hits the market because bitcoin price is still higher than any other investments.
1466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why exactly is it that people don't like identifying yourselves (KYC)? on: December 07, 2021, 09:00:40 PM
...I'm asking specifically when trading.

Since most people associate cryptocurrency with large incomes, identifying you in real life with the contents of your wallet can be dangerous for your health. In addition, most participants of the crypto market categorically do not want to pay taxes, which will be impossible if they are identified.
For most, paying taxes will be the biggest issue since we will be obliged to pay tax depending on the profit we made, and i think its quite unfair. And for others, maybe they just want to retain being anonymous since it will be risky if they know your own identity and the fact that you have lots of satoshis in your pocket, too dangerous to think.

However, since most of the exchanges are already requiring KYC and i know its for security reasons, i'm not already against on it since i'm not doing illegalities in the first place. Even reputable exchanges do so i think we don't have really choices left.

1467  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 07, 2021, 07:59:32 AM
There are so many skills that can be transformed to money which many persons are still skeptical of. Don't be surprised that those skills that well think at nothing are the one that are becoming valuable in the society.  We learn, gain skill and use it to acquire money that can be use food taking care of ourself. We don't have to gain the trending skills, we can always s maximize the one we have and make use of it to bring great value.
I also think that each of us has definitely individual skills, its just that some of them were ignored and won't even have chances to get nourished. But if you are good enough to think that your skills can bring profits on your part, then you should learn to develop it more and enhanced because that will also reflect the worth of your rewards or profits in the long run. As long as you love what you are doing, then you will most likely to improve it not just for yourself but also for others to be utilized and make profits.
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 06, 2021, 09:45:33 PM
Aside from technical analysis then it isnt really bad to consider fundamentals too.
Whats the trigger? For sure this one.
$300 Billion Bitcoin And Crypto Price Crash After Stark Fed Warning—Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Cardano And XRP In Free Fall
Source: Link

I do really expect something like this that anytime could happen on which this market is really highly reactive to news or fundamentals
which it could really fucked up those TA's.
Weird that ethereum seems remain strong despite other crypto fallin apart down to 30% , the fed will always doing the same thing to try to regulate cryptocurrency platform in order to protect its user / citizen and this time some people got the FUD.
the fear is there and at once they are planning on spending some on christmas & new year holiday so yeah just figure it out what fundamentals matches the situation.
In terms of price Ethereum is also experiencing a sharp decline like the price of bitcoin. But its marketcap dominance is increasing because people are selling Bitcoin. Therefore, it seems that ethereum still has a long way to go and a reversal of ethereum's market cap growth over bitcoin could be imminent.
For now, ethereum is seen to have a growth on its market cap compared to bitcoin since we are all witnessing bitcoin today having a rapid decrease of its price. But this is only due to the current correction, and the new covid strain i guess. If these issues will be over, then  we will see the market back to normal and bitcoin will create price in an upward direction. So let's all be patient this time as bitcoin is not set to stay being low priced, it will always have its own way to skyrocket again once there is strong support that will back up then.
1469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for the dump in Bitcoin and most of the Altcoin? on: December 06, 2021, 08:07:41 AM
Things were getting better as we were expecting a pump in the value of bitcoin but it was dropped by over 10%. Is it just the usual December pulback or it is here to stay I mean a long bearish run? How are you preparing for a possible bull trap and now even if it was temoprary it might take some for the market due to fud.
Not only during December but take it as a normal pullback for the whole market. There's no certain season that it chooses.

You just can't expect to be moving up unstoppable but it has to go through this dip because it's a way of balancing the market. If there's no correction, it would be more fearful to look at it as is.

It's just a pullback so don't think of it as a bearish run. We're yet to see the actual sign of it.
Right. Just think of it as a normal scenario that do appears after a bullish season and since the people will be spending for this holidays, crypto prices will definitely be more dumping. Aside from that, this new covid variant is affecting the whole market industry, same with what we had with those previous issues of covid. But i know all these things will be temporary and bitcoin and the rest of promising coins will certainly move upwards once the market returns to normal. We are not yet bearish, neither bullish this time.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: December 03, 2021, 09:46:33 PM
Exhibition fights these days are more like scripted fights like the WWE lol  Grin  The fighters get money either way.
They just try to make the fight more entertaining so that the users can get it rolling.
To look at it from a boxing perspective I think Tommy has the edge in this fight. Jake is good too but Tommy might win this one.

Exactly! The drama, drama fuels up everything, it gives them more money, and makes it look even more interesting, and this is the master plan on generating easy money, I'd love to bet honestly because matches like these are usually biased and mostly sided to the Paul's, regardless if Logan or Jake, the matches are honestly boring but I'll still bet on Logan because profit is still profit.
If boxing is just like this I don't I want to watch someone especially if I'm a fan but this is exhibition match so it's more like a scripted fight but I doubt if they have been sparring secretly or just talking over the phone to make the act believable. Although, WWE still got a lot of fans and continue to watch the matches as if it's not that scripted, so I guess other people are loving how the match supposed to be.

Anyway, Logan is just a youtuber just like Logan and we all know that a pro boxer vs a youtuber, the pro will always wins because they have this experience in fighting plus their hardcore training that makes them get used to the punching. So, I have a doubt if Jake will winin this kind of fight.

That's exactly why they keep an exhibition fight. Most people think that the boxer who is more professional and experienced will definitely win.
But they script it out in such a way that either the match becomes draw or in some cases the opponent wins the match.
It's all just for money in my opinion. They know most will bet on the best one and then they end up losing their bets.

You definitely can't do anything if there's a script as that will be followed no matter what, that's why the game is called rigged because of that existence. hopefully it will not happen in this fight and we will witness a great match which would end up in a KO so there will be a winner.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 03, 2021, 08:50:47 PM
So logically none of the promoters will allow that to happen, the rules are clear before the bout, no winners if it goes to the decision, winner can only be determined if there is a knockout and that is the standard followed in all the exhibition fights.

That makes sense .... Therefore in Mike Tyson really has an edge on this fight because he has the knockout power and if Tyson won't be able to KO Logan Paul because he could use a very effective strategy like making the old man tired, then the end would be boring as it will only become a draw.  Sad
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 03, 2021, 08:22:51 PM
Nice analysis, if Durant were able to come back and play his MVP form, therefore it's not impossible for Klay. Also, we can also look at the injury of Paul George which are very serious, and look how he is playing now, he is still playing like an MVP.
It's the mentality that had always been the issue for injured players after healing physically. I think being on the sideline watching live games helps him be pumped up again to be on the court being cheered by the fans. He must really miss that feeling of entertaining us. I have seen interviews from both Coach Kerr and their management telling the media no one is forcing him to come back yet. That's better than letting last year happen again.

Paul George and Kevin Durant took their time and the results are better. Klay Thompson should do the same and he doesn't need to worry about the team because they are in good hands. It will just be better if he comes back.  Wink

I think Klay Thompson had enough time to rest already, he missed 2 seasons already if I'm not mistaken, so he needs to play here as he also feels that he is healed already. The fact that he already joined the team's practice, tells that he can play physical again and start helping his team to be in the NBA Finals. Maybe my expectation is high but I just love this guy to be on the court so the Warriors will be a stronger team.

Every great player has to comeback, and I think Klay is one of them, it's already due, he has been out for 2 seasons already so the itch is already there to play again with his team mates. So for sure his mind is already set for a return either this month or next month.

So it will be important that he play this season, and as long as he knows his body and maybe Steve Kerr will allow him to play the usual then we might see him back and far better before he gets injured. Seeing him together with Steph is a thing of beauty and then hitting those 3 again, will remind us of the GSW championship team again.

Imagine if Curry, Thompson, and Poole will be hitting easy 3 points shots, that would make them unbeatable as a team. I mean, they don't need to play together I guess as the Warriors also need a good 3 point shooter on their 2nd unit, but for sure they'll be tougher to beat with a healthy Thompson back in the roster.

1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 03, 2021, 06:38:49 AM

That bet for the Suns did hurt my feelings a bit. Yes, because I lost for a bit.  Grin 1 more point.
Pistons keep on fighting back and even got close to a 5 point lead before the Suns made a big run again. I hope they did that run earlier and maybe it could become a garbage time at 2-3 minutes left in the game. Well, these things happen, unexpected events. Phoenix Suns will be keeping their streak and that's the 18th.
That's the gamble if you give a big spread, but one 1 point only made you lose your bet hurt, I've been there but that's gambling, we either win or lose, in your case you lose so bounce back soon.

How about the Trail Blazers being hit hard by the Spurs. 108-78 current score. No Lillard, no Simmons. It's a streal for those who bet for the Spurs. Congratulations.

Didn't expect this too.

If anyone were able to bet at Spurs to win 26+, that's a huge 100 odds.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 03, 2021, 05:32:21 AM
The odds clearly favored Casimero to win so please no upset so the fans will also not get upset.

Casimero is only 1.03, there's no way bettors will take that odds, that's too risky if you put a big amount just to get 3% as your win. Upset is possible, so we also have to be open for that, but if you want to make sure you can ride with it, you should put a little bet, maybe you'll get 18-20 odds for Butler to win by decision as that's the only way I see Butler could win if he will not get KO by Casimero early.
Given that there is only 3% in favor winning for casimero but would you choose betting instead to Butler? i think it is still reasonable to bet for Casimero mate and yes either make a Bet or deny in this fight .

You have a choice to decide because there are more upcoming fight so best to not put on this one and try your luck in Donaire's fight .

But i think I'm gonna try in this one for casimero because i wanted Him to Win and fight Inoue , but of course will use smaller amount than i planned if the Odds are good .

If you are not satisfied with the odds, just sit this fight and enjoy with beer while watching the fight. Casimero will likely win this fight but that 1.03 looks not attractive to me, so I  might look for another betting option with higher hoods or will just stay away from betting in this fight.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 03, 2021, 03:27:07 AM
I don't think he is gonna play this month.  Not only does he need to recover he needs to get into game shape.  Pretty much not playing in the NBA will screw anyone up.  I expect him to have trouble in the beginning shaking defenders.  He will be more a spot shooter, and stationary is easy to cover.  Not being totally pessimistic but that's a ton of time off it will take him a couple months to get into complete game shape

He will play this month. December 24, Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies. That's what I saw in some clips recently and I will try to find it.

He already recovered and working to get back on track for several months now. His shooting ability will not change but only his athleticism or those straight drives to the hoop. You are right, more on a spot shooter and an easy pick will do the job. But eventually, when he thinks his body is now cooperating, he will back again slowly on his usual.
I also expect that Thompson may return in December, but it's worth noting that he has missed the last two seasons. So wheelz1200 is right that it will take Klay a few more months after returning to fully regain his game shape. Anyway, the most important thing for the Warriors is that Klay can play as before by the time the playoffs start.

There are reports that also says that January will likely be the return of Klay.

Regardless, he will need a lot of adjustments again after missing 2 seasons. But the good thing is that they can gauge it right away by looking at how Durant come back from the same injury as Klay. So the blue print is already there and maybe GSW will just have to look at how Durant come back last year. I know that players body are very different, but at least they have something to compare. Maybe 5-10 minutes will do in the next couple of games and then extend it if they see a huge progress in Klay.

Nice analysis, if Durant were able to come back and play his MVP form, therefore it's not impossible for Klay. Also, we can also look at the injury of Paul George which are very serious, and look how he is playing now, he is still playing like an MVP.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Education Insurance on: December 02, 2021, 09:58:54 PM
~snip~

For me, Bitcoin if you look at the development of today's era, to be made into health insurance, education, etc., it's time and it's time for that.
That's our hope as bitcoin activists, but not with the government. If you use it as insurance officially and get a license from the government for a short period of time it is very difficult. Some world governments only want it as an asset not as a means of payment transactions.
In fact, we see china shutting down all crypto activities, after which they make their own digital money. Regarding education insurance is very important, insurance here in the sense of saving privately and used later is very promising.  Especially if the value of bitcoin goes up, it will be very good.
Bitcoin as an education insurance may only be applicable maybe in those countries that are supporting bitcoin or crypto, otherwise the government will definitely oppose about it. No matter how high the value of bitcoin, it will never be allowed when it comes to government schools. However, the example of OP is a good achievement for bitcoin because its not only used as a salary, and now it has reached its level of having it as a reward as an education insurance. It will really help a lot in the future considering its high value.
1478  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: December 02, 2021, 07:31:03 PM
I agree, it's too early to panic. We don't have a log of information yet. Panic selling could leave us hanging if the prices rise again. Better go just wait and see how bad is it really going to get. I remember last year when the news about the Delta and the Lambda variant came out. People were freaking out that the vaccines didn't work anymore, but in the end it wasn't true and the vaccines still seem to work. Reacting to the first news without having any scientific proof is not good. I will sit this one out and not sell.
I think that if we think long term then panic selling will not happen, especially because of the virus issue that continues to grow. even though if I'm honest sometimes we are tired of the news about this virus. therefore I don't think there is a permanent effect, so this requires attitude and reflection from within us
Whatever negative effects on the market this Omicron variant will bring, it's all for temporary. Because we all know that crypto will always recover from all dumps because the demand never stops despite of the economic struggles of lot of countries. This time, i think people are now more aware on the newly covid variant as majority of the people nowadays are more protected because majority have been fully vaccinated already. So there is no way crypto will be greatly affected with this negative news, it might increase the demand for crypto users once lockdowns will happen again.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto prices will collapse further tomorrow? on: December 02, 2021, 08:03:31 AM
Bitcoin price i know does not have a fixed price in particular, the price can degraded from the market determinant, collapsing of the price can be experience alongside of the day because the price is not always be constant, from the experience the price is 560000 thousand and it degrade to 540000 that does not signified that the price is in collapse motion, tommorow might be different from the next day price.
That’s how volatile bitcoin is. The price might be down at the present but it might be very different the following day. It also goes the same with solid altcoins because even if they have bad days today, once positive news will come in the market, they have all the chances to skyrocket again. So it’s far from reality that crypto prices will collapse after this correction phase. Having a bearish and bullish season is part of the crypto market, and if the market looks bearish at the moment, next to it is definitely a bullish season for us crypto hunters.
1480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin makes new ATH. More ATHs to come shortly. on: December 02, 2021, 02:27:03 AM
making it hard to compete the market now, Bitcoin keeps on failing to maintain 57,000$ value several days ago.

I thought this December 1 will be the beginning yet? nothing comes that good.

Lets wait for at least 2 weeks from now and if nothing happens ? then expect a Bull trap this End of December 2021.

for those who had accumulate when the price drops to below 30,000$ are surely the winner in this part because they can sell anytime they wanted to escape the trappings .,
Bitcoin may not be at its best this time but who knows, it might skyrocket again in the middle of December. Knowing bitcoin, it’s always capable to suddenly reach another ATH because of its high volatility. And maybe you’re right, the winners will always be those who bought bitcoin when the price was definitely cheap.

For now, let’s just observe how the market goes before year end. I just hope there will be more good news to go so that the market will be greener and new ATH for bitcoin will be totally achieved.
