I've been trying without much luck to contact the twitter handles that show up in a 'trump coin' search. There's a bit more to try tonight, but from what I understand we control the top spot (chicken's old account) and one other result that TCC runs. I'd very much like to talk this over with the two of you at some point, as I agree that if not having one person running SM, at least having a unified brand and message will go a long way towards our credibility. With twitter, it's early enough that if needed, we can start a new twitter handle. Just need to do it soon. As long as we are move active, have more followers(I can help with this), it won't be long before we are the seen as the main handle. We need to remove the links to the .rocks from the twitter and the Facebook and anywhere and everywhere else you see it to be honest. Be congesant of that. Ideally the one person will manage the accounts and be diligent at keeping them active. It doesn't always have to be TrumpCoin related; you'l see places like Wendy's send out a Tweet about something topical and find a way to add their product to the punchline. No excuse for going more than a day at most without a Tweet. Facebook updates can be less frequent, but still not that long of gaps. why are you self moderating this thread?
if its a serious coin and not just another of the crap coins trolls and fud actually bring recognition to the coin and more people see that the good devs handle it well because they are here for the long haul and ready to handle the heat.
self moderation is just one of the many ways the crap coins try to stay alive?

Sorry, but this is FUD like you've never seen before. Why should I have to read through 20 pages of argument and personal attacks just to find the latest development update? The more valuable something is the more people fight over it. Take it from me I used to live on a diamond mine. Now I am in exile since I cannot stand nasty people. I hope Trumpcoin can solve this problem since it is worth fighting for too. As for my land I thought giving it to Trumpcoin might help save it. Now I will see if Trumpcoin can solve this same problem themselves. But that is the long version as to why 20 pages to read...because it is worth it. Short answer the world is run by a small nasty minority who does not care about you. We will lead with heart and they are what we are up against. Hyper critical, hyper emotional, reasonable-doubt specialists who fly under the radar are what I was attacked by and it worked! Thomas Jefferson prayed for death after he was accused of Treason by the same people he just gave everything too as their public servant. The apology later from them did nothing for him. Trolling hurts people. You have just been trolled and you should at least thanks Seige for being blatant enough to notice. He at least has the courage to show himself and his opinion. I want to be fair to everyone, but mostly to our dedicated investors, supporters, and contributors.
I am also open to any other suggestions for a win-win solution.

Congratulations, Dreadlord, and thanks for having the guts to take on this major responsibility. You've shown yourself to be thoughtful, level headed, and helpful at every turn, and I sincerely believe you're the best man for the job. Bitbobb, part of the reason you get singled out for trolling is because you (very thoughtfully) take the time to respond to their posts and any perceived slight against you, often in long form. Trolls LOVE this and will never stop coming back for more from you if you indulge them. Best thing to do, at least in a forum setting like this, is completely ignore them and let any observers see them making post after post of FUD with no evidence or backup that can be deleted by moderators later. It looks bad while it's happening (and of course it is), but trying to argue or correct them only makes it worse. Signal, I am very much in support of a moderated thread for the new ANN. If anything, I personally would like to see this thread moderated more heavily, but that's just me. I'm confident you and the team will do what is best for the coin  . I'm not worried about biz as the majority of our newcoiners from that avenue know there is a ton of shitposting and FUD there no matter what and will likely do their own DD before writing it off or buying. With the marketing we have coming, I don't foresee them or other potential investors developing an overly negative view of Trumpcoin. For what it's worth, we also have users running counterFUD on biz as much as possible in that context. Good post, Just need to mention that people who do not roll up their sleeves when there is work to do also are the first to troll others so they can get a free ride off of other people's hard work that they are witnessing. I have the goods on Hillary, skills for currency acceptance programs (which every economy needs) and captive markets I could turn on to trumpcoin (something most people who do not make markets will ever have (analysis of them is being a spectator)). At that point in time I believe that is why I got trolled since some people probably were able to figure out who I am by that point and how much of a threat I really am. I do not expect most of you to believe me on this but I know what the score is today. After the polls closed I got an endorsement that proves we are getting legit positive feedback so it is time to talk real here with you guys. I hope you can handle it. But you are right it is also because I post (they get paid by the post whereas I pay a price for my posts). The trolls do not yet know what to think of Dread and how he will affect this coin so he gets a pass from them. Not really a big deal just worth mentioning that. As an outsider today as opposed to Treasurer today I will have decidedly less involvement and so this is a win for Hillary until she see's where this project decides to go next. That is why I offered to keep helping and am doing things today. I just hope you all can appreciate what exactly the price is that we paid for this trolling and FUD. |

I'd rather have it unmoderated but..... Any conversation that gets deleted here will move to /Biz. I think constant /Biz presence drives most of our adoption. Moderation may keep us bumped to the front page.
It is good to have that as a back up system.. will prove valuable. But we still need a place to get work done. Right now this thread is like the board of directors (by default) blog. And people can wander here say they are thinking of buying and then with their questions insert FUD. It is counter productive when their questions could have been answered if they took the time to read even 2 pages previous to their posting and also then they go on for 10 pages repeating things that were answered after their first post. In this case I am talking about how PerryL claimed for 8 pages I never offered proof then admitted she missed it and then she dissipated back into the ether with her mission accomplished. Think about it, it could happen to you. I am proof. I was a threat to Hillary. The more you know. This P.S.A. brought to you from Bitbobb! All questions for potential candidates came from Newbies and went toward Bitbobb. Only Bitbobb got FUD (other than criticisms about Avatar names LOL). And no one knew Dread was in the running until the vote started. Does Dread accept the terms and conditions that the rest of us had to agree to publicly before the race began? I saw that he agreed to sign a federal document after. What about the rest of it like Dep, Bitinator, and myself agreed to? Sorry if I missed this somewhere. Not butthurt just need to point out irregularities that are verifiable. What people say is important just like what they do not say. I can do a poll for this if need be but thought I'd just grab a quick opinion instead to feel it out first.
There are a few smear campaigns against us that love disrupting and derailing our conversations.
We need to focus, but Freedom of Speech is certainly one of our values...
Should our official thread be moderated or unmoderated?
IMO it should be moderated to a certain extent. I don't mind people being critical of trumpcoin at all and they have the right to voice their opinions here. But at a certain point it stops being criticism and it starts turning in to downright trolling, there's no discussion to be had there. Sometimes it's hard to draw the line between voicing opinions and trolling but often it isn't (e.g. seige his shitposting). Then there's also annoying posts that use bold and have a massive font for example, I see no need for those so a bit of moderation wouldn't hurt in those cases either. This is my opinion as well. Moderate moderation with a ruleset that only removes blatant trolling and personal attacks against individuals, while still allowing anyone to voice valid opinions and concerns about our mission and our politics. I like the way you put it... Filter shitposting while allowing and encouraging productive debates. Does anyone disagree with this? No complaints here. I personally feel that a moderated thread is best. This is coming from someone who has pledged their sacred honor and life to defending free speech BTW. However even in this moderated thread I was trolled recently and I feel it has hurt my ability to contribute to this coin. I have become "controversial" just by participating due to trolls that fly under the radar as well as ones that are known blatant trolls. Maybe chickens65 enjoyed watching me get trolled and if it was someone else the posts may have been censored sooner I do not know (and I hope I am wrong). But I am an outsider to this coin (like Trump is to politics). And yet I got trolled just as bad if not worse than anyone that has ever been on this coin if you consider the recent identity theft via troll box on yobit on the eve of our treasury election with the follow up 10 pages of nonsense here just before voting day (effectively buried our vote in 10 pages of FUD). People did not know there was a vote and how to find it in so many pages or when it was happening. So yeah to say the least it is hard to get anything done in the troll environment. And what good is moderation if the mods do not like you because you make more sense than them or for whatever other reason(s)? Sorry needs to be said I never posted rape sheds but yes that joke (about me) was funny. I do have a sense of humor. But throwing attacks around, even funny ones does nothing for the coin. So what about trolling under the radar as I have seen and we should all acknowledge? Does it not matter now because it only happened to Bitbobb and we kept away an outsider? One who potentially could have contributed massively? Hmmm I hope you will consider this. We do not really know who these newbies are. I have noticed a serious push back on this coin toward any real progress that will actually make this coin great. Now there is a block explorer now you can begin day one today as a serious coin. So perfect time for new ANN and new thread moderated by someone who actually stops FUD and readjust the radar to catch these newbies who pretend to have good intentions but really are FUdders from our first thread. |

With access regulated into oblivion how can the liquidity ever increase like it needs to? Therefor why would acceptance increase?. As one of the truly unbanked I still must have help and hoops to jump through just to access the crypto world. This is why I follow and invest in coins like Goldcoin and Trumpcoin. I invest in them both equally and so far Goldcoin has shown steady increase while Trumpcoin has been up and down with some increase (about the same as goldcoin) since I started buying them both. As for the tech both have good wallets. Goldcoin gave me 2 transfer problems so far. Both worked themselves out and the team is 100% solid at gold coin. Trumpcoin has never had any transfer problems but their team is having some trouble organizing (hence my post for the vote (please forgive me)) and they just got a really good block explorer yesterday. And both coins claim to be Satoshi vision supporters. I would like Gold coin to know that I have a plan to help both coins. I would like to own large bags before I mention those plans however. I just opened my wallet and got a connection then lost it. I sent 500 gold coins and it will not confirm since the wallet has no nodes. Can someone put a miner on this coin? Or what is going on I usually get nodes no problem. I can post txid infor if it helps..
