Mentioned this in another thread.
"I love altcoins. I love the whole scene, the whole ecosystem. It's like an international commodity exchange. Before all this, I never imagined I could trade outside of stocks, and it's unregulated, where everyone can join in, no questions asked. It's really liberating. It's beautiful.
Of course some "commodities" are junk. But all in all, love it."

If staking is your thing, why not try Neucoin. They mentioned early adopters will get rewarded well in their site. People who get in early on NeuCoin - who help create the first core of users and holders - will be highly rewarded for adding this value. NeuCoin’s economic model uses very high PoS awards, starting at 100% per year in year one, 80% in year two and gradually declining to 6% by year ten, meaning that coin holdings will multiply by up to 50X over 10 years with non-stop PoS mining.
http://www.neucoin.org/en/wiki/#innovative-posTheir forum is here http://forum.neucoin.org, if you have questions. It's fairly active and they have a lady forum manager. Lol! Good luck dealing with the "libertarian white male bros" altcoin crowd. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I understand that Cryptsy has the best legal council available. They are unlikely to do anything that would expose them to high risk or unnecessary liability.
In terms of reliability, they are one of the most stable and reputable cryptocurrency exchanges on earth at present.
This is a very odd statement to make based upon the evidence to the contrary. Do you have any personal investment , employement or involvement in Cryptsy? its the only exchange that hasn't delisted the shitcoin he is constantly peddling ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Maybe Cryptsy has a thing for Paycoin? Like Polo has a thing for XMR.

isn't this the same story of bills gates and steve jobs? i remember they started in a garage as well, seems that garages are a good way to become rich, maybe satoshi started in a garage too
The first recpient of a bitcoin was Hal Finney. There's a good chance he did... Or in the basement of his home. On a serious note, will the Bit License impede this kind of innovation and make it hard in creating a Bitcoin based start up from the grassroots? bit licence is for usa only if i'm not mistaken, you can always go in another place of the world to start a business from your underground floor in the usa it could surely take out that "anonymous working" on something that may be big in the future... Not even the whole country, just New York. Isn't San Francisco the place to be for Bitcoin start ups though? And if they want a financial district, there's other places like London, Singapore and Hongkong. I think innovation would be welcome in those places.

im agree when price under $200 thats time to buy
this^^ anyway, for long-term actually doesn't matter if you buy at 200$ or 250$:) Yeah. But you could have bought more if you waited for it to go lower. And it would compound your profit when it starts going up. Imagine it for the people who bought at +500. lol

NXT saw its' last hurrah and rebound when JustaBit / John said NXT would be going on CoinBase and then it never happened. I'ld imagine the emotion behind that one was probably similar for Litecoin when Charlie Lee accepted a job at CoinBase, but Litecoin was never added and subsequently has been going into the abyss ever since.
Technically speaking, all the faith people put into CoinBase is such where, if CoinBase added any alternate then that alternate would probably go to #2 status overnight.
For all the "allegations", liberally thrown at NXT and NEM and other projects, it possibly doesn't matter as BTC had countless allegations and documentable scams between 2009 and 2012 and it didn't prevent December 2013 from occurring or discourage Wells Fargo from looking into CryptoCurrency (MtGox in 2014 definitely discouraged them and this was irrecoverable damage and probably prevented a $10,000 Bitcoin but alas this is another subject).
Do you think they're looking at other options? Ripple, Bitshares or some other well funded altcoin project? I mean if BTC was enough to attract their interest then maybe they're trying to look for other options too...? Cryptocurrencies could be the next big thing to happen in the world of finance.

I came across this thread on /r/bitcoin... http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/33tvoa/dear_new_york_regulation_stifles_innovation_two/This post made me think, what if start ups just go somewhere else? Rumor has it two brothers created an entire industry in their bicycle shop. All the experts said it is not possible and were thought of as a bunch of liars. "After their Kitty Hawk success, The Wrights flew their machine in open fields next to a busy rail line in Dayton Ohio for almost an entire year. American authorities refused to come to the demos, and Scientific American Magazine published stories about "The Lying Brothers." Even the local Dayton newspapers never sent a reporter (but they did complain about all the letters they were receiving from local "crazies" who reported the many flights.) Finally the Wrights packed up and moved to Europe, where they caused an overnight sensation and sold aircraft contracts to France, Germany, Britain, etc. "

Maybe ¥200(or lower) will become a new normal soon.
I am beginnng to think this. Sub $100 might be where we're going and stay there for a while. its mean u want bitcoin under $100 in this week or month? No. Its mean that it will happen regardless of what you want to happen.

On top of my head there's Ripple, Maidsafe, Stellar, and I think Bitshares(?). I think the well funded ones will have a slightly better chance of success.
Any other projects?

so what advantages does counter party have then..
It's built on the bitcoin blockchain. Both a blessing and a curse.

Those aren't even dead cat bounces. Those are more breakout-attempts out of a falling-wedge or falling-triangle, actually! It is only natural for the price to try to break out of the resistance, and by doing this it may very well fail, until it doesn't at some point.
What about now?
