right now the s17 pro set to low speed does about 37 watts a th

project to 100 th  right now that is

13.18 for btc
12.67 for bch
12.61 for bsv

each day.

the s17 pro set to low uses just about 90 k-watts a day

at 3 cents that is  2.70 a day

13.18- 2.70 = 10.48
12.67- 2.70 =   9.97
12.61- 2.70 =   9.91

bring in the ˝ ing you get

6.59   - 2.70 = 3.89
6.335 - 2.70 = 3.635
6.305 - 2.70 = 3.605

4 cent power

6.59   - 3.60 = 2.99
6.335 - 3.60 = 2.735
6.305 - 3.60 = 2.705

these are killer numbers   all gear on the market at 50 watts a th and 5 cent power would be dead

6.59 - 6.00 = 59 cents a day for 100 th that uses 5 kwatts or 120 kwatts a day at 5 cents = 6 in power.

so current price means a huge difficulty drop is coming up  at the ˝ ing or not Roll Eyes

@ op  you are supposed to be a newbie without a lot of knowledge

So logically  you should be posting in the newbie section asking questions about what you don't understand.

Instead you post as if you have been around the block and have a lot of knowledge about the forum.

You are obviously a farm alt account that should be tagged as such.

You already got a merit today.  From another newbie.

So I would submit  both accounts are owned by the same person and you are looking to make a signature farm.

So XenoFever   was made on Feb 3 , 2020

given 3 merits for this post

14683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brought Bitcoin in 2017 and sold in 2018 on: March 08, 2020, 03:56:33 PM
I'm the most unluckiest person, because I brought 0.5 Bitcoin in 2017 3rd quarter and sold it in 2018 before it is going to down fall. I have converted all my Stellars in to Ripple, Stellars and trax coins. But till now I could not sell them due to that they are in very low position. If ince again I have chance to sell them in price rice in 2020 I may be very happy. But no hope it is according to my fate.

3rd quarter prices were as low as 2600 and as high as 4624 in 2017

the lowest price in all of 2018  was 3100 in dec.

So  basically  sounds like you only could have lost money if you purchased on Sep 30 2017  held when it peaked at 19900 in dec of 2017

kept holding and finally gave in  between nov 21 2018 and dec 31 2018.

If so You are a loser and were given an inexpensive lesson that you should not trade anymore

worst case is  you paid 2312 and got back 1550  a loss of 762.

That is a cheap lesson as it clearly shows you can't trade and should never trade again.

But you claimed to have ignored the lesson since you picked a coin to switch too.

Since your original money spent was only 2312 if you were accurate and did buy in 3rd quarter of 2017.

Let it ride.  worst case you lose it all bro.
14684  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 08, 2020, 03:24:10 PM
yes and BCH 1/2 ing is in 40 days as is BSV

BTC is    $ 0.1347    at  8547 usd      after ˝ ing    0.06735
BCH is   $ 0.1314    at    305 usd      after ˝ ing    0.06570
BSV is   $ 0.1315    at    217 usd      after ˝ ing    0.06575

now BCH and BSV are due on  april  8 and april 10

BTC is Due May 11

gleaned that info from here.  https://explorer.viawallet.com/halving

Since BCH and BSV  come first  we should see a migrating effect giving us a clue or hint  of commitment to those coins. Over BTC.

I'm still waiting for your imaginary friend to smite me....

....Oh jeeezus....I must be bored tonight.....  (burp)

God is giving you the opportunity to turn to Him. Later in life, He will smite you as you asked. If you haven't turned to Him by then, you won't find any relief from your smiting.

Cool

Your description of your god sounds like god is a bully and an a-hole.

14687  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 08, 2020, 02:53:04 PM
Coins at 8700  means 1th drops to 12 cents before power.

if 8700 at the 1/2 ing 1th will make 6 cents.

so a new s19 will earn $6.60 before power.

3300 watts is about 80 kwatts a day.

so a 3 cent guy will pay 2.40 a day

thus the machine makes 4.20 a day

if price stays at the 8700 level there will be blood 🩸 in the water 💧 after the 1/2 ing.

7.5% jump is a lot of gear.
14688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's End Game on: March 08, 2020, 02:39:53 PM
It's no secret that the entire crypto space is largely dependent on centralized infrastructure (centralized exchanges, centralized wallet services, etc).
this is not true. the fact that people trade on exchanges and some newcomers use centralized custodial wallets doesn't mean bitcoin relies on centralized infrastructure!
and thins like centralized exchanges are popular and used because they are most convenient right now compared to the alternative and since there is no problem in using them, people don't bother working on any alternatives.

Quote
People will not want to use something that's considered "illegal" by worldwide governments.
last time i checked there was no such thing as "worldwide government"!

Quote
not many people will support it (only libertarians, geeks, anarchists, etc.).
this would have been true if such theoretical ban came back in 2008 to 2009 not in 2020-2030+ that a very large number of people have already adopted bitcoin and a million dollar industry has been built because of bitcoin.
at this point it is like talking about government banning usage of the internet!

Interpol and the UN are world wide.  Or close to world 🌎 wide.

As to the vast majority of countries banning cryptocoins I don’t think they will do it.

There are a lot of cheap and easy ways to attack BTC. Government bans are costly or stupid.

14690  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: March 08, 2020, 04:18:00 AM
...

Science is not a belief system.  Rupert needs to go back to school.

yeah actually it is.

basically any system

 atheist
religious
scientific

Are  all belief systems.

Science does require repeatable independent experiments 🧫.

But still involves belief that repeatable independent experiments are not a simple trick done by a god or gods.

Not that I choose to believe God or no God.

I am honest enough to know I am too stupid to know what is real or true..

So I stick with being agnostic and let others argue about the true nature of reality .

14691  Economy / Economics / Re: corona Vírus doesn't affect bitcoin price on: March 08, 2020, 04:09:07 AM
Many articles trying to link anything and the price, we may have a philosophical theory about the effect of things on the decisions of buying/selling, but even these changes will not make fundamental differences in price.
That is, the effect of corona will be limited to countries and individuals, not to entities that change supply/demand, and therefore there will be no real impact on price.
Once corona affects supply/demand (today, after 1 week, 1 month, 1 Year,) then it will have an effect on price. Comparing prices at the beginning and now will not give real results.

I still believe that the purpose of this virus is to weaken the economy of some countries more than it is a deadly epidemic.

I think that this is yet another test of what science 🧬 can do with a virus 🦠.

This is close to what they want.

1) lots of people catch it fairly easily.
2) does not kill kids.
3) works to cull older and sicker people.

Pretty good to have in your bag 💼 of tricks if you want to do population control.

14692  Other / Meta / Re: Complete overview of users on DT1 and DT2 and their ratings on: March 07, 2020, 10:08:27 PM
I was checking the lists and I appear to be on every dt1 list in this thread.

I did see theymos listed on dt2 and not dt1 at least once.

Confused as to how he dropped to dt2 and I did not.

I would have to think he would always be on dt1and that I would drop to dt2 more easily then he would.

I guess I missed this event when it happened.

Maybe I missed being on dt2 vs dt1 for my self

Is it a rotational thing?
14693  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17/S17 malfunction: cases, solutions, remedies, RMA history on: March 07, 2020, 09:06:32 PM
A new miner (T17+) only hashes on two boards out of three directly from the box.
Pure thievery as it would cost more to send it back than to keep hashing on two boards.

Not pleased.
DO NOT order T17+

same issue for me.  and shipping it back is pretty senseless as ˝ ing  is coming.

It is a PayPal purchase I am under 40 days.  I wonder if I ask for a 33% refund if I can get it.

I have not pushed very hard on this issue with bitmain as my wife has been sick for 70+ days

Since Dec 29 2019.

I have had a lot more important things to do. THEN TO FIGHT OVER 1 HASH BOARD.

BUT  I think doctors have finally figured out my wife health issues and have a treatment plan that is working.

I may pursue a 33% refund on the t17+

I will post back on this idea on Monday the 16th of March.

That is an older miner I do not know if there are any replacement parts for you.

As to why it burned  maybe your voltage feed was 225-235  and dropped to 210  this could pull more amps and melt it out.

parts link for you

https://pangolinminer.com/support/spare-parts/

the psu looks sold out.

would you replace the unit with an m10?

or other gear?

14697  Other / Meta / Re: A board for Privacy? on: March 07, 2020, 05:11:55 PM
Also Privacy and security get complicated  if a thread has bad info  about
Threads on these subjects already have misleading or incorrect information in them, as do many threads on every board. Thankfully there are plenty of knowledgeable members around to clarify and correct misinformation, and there is no reason why a Security and Privacy board would be any different.

I'm fairly certain that the reason for this is not a lack of information (we live in the age thereof) but rather a lack of motivation or incentive to do so.
Agreed. A couple of stickied threads at the top of a Privacy and Security board explaining some basic concepts, much like we have with the stickied thread about wallets in Beginners and Help, could help to address this.

Opera is a better choice than Brave I think. It has a built in VPN too.
It's not a true VPN, just a proxy server for the browser. It routes your traffic through a server hosted by SurfEasy, whose Privacy Policy includes logging "Temporary usage data" and "Internet and data traffic, such as destination website or IP address and originating IP address". I wouldn't use it.

I would not mind a sticked thread  or two about privacy and security somewhere on the board.

They go hand in hand.

Wallet safety
Password safety
How anonymous do I want to be.
Browser choices.

Privacy routers
Privacy devices

Would be  nice to know where to look.
Since all of the above it scattered about the forum. It would be nice to find it more quickly.

sorry man, i didnt see your message.

i have 36 other S9s. 3 of them just started having this problem. I tired to swap to an apw5 from an apw3++. still no luck.

take them off line .

change passwords on your good units asap.

root
root

is easy to be fucked with.

try

root

root-then-lot-of-characters

I think the controllers may be fucked with.

Once you have long passwords on the good ones.

take a good controller and switch it to a dead s9

if the dead s9 works  you may have 3 bad controllers.

but get a good password on the s9's that work.
14700  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9 is not hashing? on: March 07, 2020, 04:01:26 AM
let me ask again.

do you only have 1 s9 the broken one?

or do you have a few working s9's?

controller could be bad = very likely
firmware in controller could be bad = possible
boards can be bad  = very likely

eth cable bad = maybe
you filled the pools out wrong = maybe
bad psu = maybe

all 3 communication cables from controller to boards could be bad. = not that likely
pool connections could be bad = not likely

If you only have 1 s9 with 1 psu it will be hard to troubleshoot.
