14741  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why isn't atheism classified as another religion? on: April 26, 2018, 03:41:20 AM
Most of the countries classify atheism as a religion in their census. I was looking at the religion-based census tables from countries such as New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Some of them have classified the non-religious and atheists in one category, while some others have combined it.

A pal who (believers on him say) loves you so much that he will burn you in hell if you don't love him back, you don't believe in him or also if, on an honest mistake, you love one of his competitors who sells the same product ("divinity services" in exchange for adoration and a big chunk of your assets to his church; or else...).

I have heard about this rubbish quite a few times. Some of my Catholic friends have told me that I will burn in hell, if I don't convert to Christianity and believe in Jesus Christ. I studied their religion and found that there is a long list of banned items. A lot of things, from masturbation to condoms are banned in Christianity. I politely told them that I don't want to convert to such a restrictive religion.
14743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Marriage vs. Divorce on: April 26, 2018, 03:36:41 AM
Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Sometimes loving your partner is not enough to pull the marriage through till the end, try talking to your partner, look at how you got to that low point and try to fix things back, but if everything fails then find peace elsewhere. Marriage vows says "until death" but you're not gonna want to just sit there and wish to die quicker so you can get out of the marriage.

Obviously marriage is a lifetime commitment. But at the same time, there is no point in staying together if the couple feel that they are not compatible to each other. Going through a lengthy legal battle will only deepen the wounds and worsen the financial situation for both the parties.

Here comes the Azeri moonbat again. Be careful while badmouthing Putin. If he sides with Armenia, then you people will be living as beggars in Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Even without any Russian support, the Armenians captured 15% of your territory in 1993. The next time, they will take Baku.
14745  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you feel about meditation? on: April 26, 2018, 03:22:29 AM
I did try to meditate one time and that did not end well. I am the type of person who can't focus on one thing, whenever I clear my mind another thing pops up and it will be a domino effect in the end.

I am facing the same problem. These mediation sessions usually last for 1-2 hours and I have found it extremely difficult to concentrate on it for so long. That is one of the reasons why I gave up meditation and yoga. There is no doubt that it is good for the mind and body. But meditation is not meant for people like me.
14746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When you are old, what stories will you tell children when they ask for stories? on: April 26, 2018, 03:20:16 AM
When I was a kid, my grandmother used to tell me a lot of stories from the Hindu mythology. But my parents never bothered much about it. The stories I heard during my childhood had a huge impact in my adulthood, and they continue to influence me in making various important decisions.
14747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 26, 2018, 02:13:54 AM
Crypto is the future of assets and currency of the future, gold is little bit outdated for me

Outdated or not. Gold has been in use for at least 10,000 years. And the chances are that it will remain as a valuable asset, as long as the human species exists in this planet. The same can't be said about Bitcoin.
14748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your 24 word phrase? on: April 26, 2018, 02:12:00 AM
I wrote it down in paper (I made two copies), and then kept a copy each in my bank locker and office shelf. Don't have it stored anywhere online. I have only this hard copy prints with me.
14749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SpaceX and the prospects of Mars colonization. on: April 25, 2018, 02:14:27 AM
colonizing mars seems fantasy come true but the financing required to do so is humongous & many people argue that instead of trying to make mars live able why not try to fix earth coz humans have ruined it lol for eg. if earth is 4.6 billion yrs old, if we assume it to be 46 years then humans have been here for 4 hours and industrial revolution is only a minute old & we have killed 40-50% of vegetation, so to keep "humanity" alive which is pointless, it would be be interesting to see if colony on mars get funded. imo it would be so baller if spacex gets this done.

Elon Musk is founder and CEO of SpaceX. He made his billions. Now the other members of his team need to make theirs. They can always say, later, that they failed regarding Mars... as they live in luxury out surfing on the islands.

Cool

He has got some very powerful backers in the Senate and they are helping him in getting billions of $$$ in grants from the US government. He is diverting these funds for his own purposes and making the American tax payers idiots.
14750  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More Peaceful World through CryptoCurrencies? on: April 25, 2018, 02:04:56 AM
I think terrorism and wars will exist regardless of cryptocurrency usage. These phenomena exist because of people who need love, who need to feel needed and significant; but don't know other ways to cope with this need. That is why NO, I don't think crypto will help. The resolution of this question depends on people themselves.

You are right. But at the same time, if the governments and the central banks find it hard to manipulate their national currencies, then it will get more difficult for them to wage the wars. The invasion of Iraq cost the American government close to $2 trillion. From where do you think they got that much money?
14751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why criminals can't hide behind Bitcoin on: April 25, 2018, 02:02:24 AM
Criminals can't hide behind Bitcoin because it is not 100% anonymous. There is only one form of currency, which can be considered as 100% anonymous. And that is physical fiat cash. You can't trace physical cash to individuals under any circumstances.
14752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Ethereum on: April 25, 2018, 01:59:37 AM
When comparing BTC and ETH, I find BTC more valuable, because it is the king of crypto. Although BTC has no practical application but it is welcome everyone, so its price is very high

As of now, you can say that Bitcoin is the king of the crypto. But that is not going to remain so forever. For example, the market dominance of Bitcoin has once again fallen below the 40% mark. This is close to the all-time lows (I guess the all time low was 32%, which was reached in December 2017).
14753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How far can Bitcoin go? on: April 25, 2018, 01:57:31 AM
Let's compare the market cap of Bitcoin with the total global wealth. As of now, Bitcoin represents around 0.1% of the total global wealth. How far this can go? IMO, we can expect up to 2-3%, if everything goes as per our plans. That would take Bitcoin to the same level as that of gold.
14754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: April 25, 2018, 01:55:32 AM
When you end up with losses after losses in gambling, then the best thing to do is to take a short break and to concentrate on something else. I have seen my friends frantically trying to make up for their losses by continuously gambling without a break, and in the end they lose all their money.
14755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 25, 2018, 01:53:14 AM
Come to today's SRH lost 7 wickets just for 100 runs, I think MI will easily win this match.

Everyone thought so, but god had some other plans. Mumbai Indians bundled out for just 87 runs and SRH won the match by 31 runs. Can you believe it? Such an experienced batting line-up failed to make 100 against an inexperienced bowling attack comprising of players such as Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma and Basil Thampi...
14756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 223: Nurmagomedov vs ??? Info Prediction, MCGREGOR ATTACKS BUS LOL! on: April 25, 2018, 01:47:58 AM
But we still have Tony and Khabib. Maybe one of them can win against Conor, who knows. I don't know if is will be the biggest fight in history if they ever fight in Russia, but hey, the 4 out of 5 top selling UFC PPV's was headlined by Conor(except #2 Lesnar vs Mir) and he still holds the record against Nate.
I think Tony and Khabib will beat Conor and then he could retire for good from MMA  or he will go down and challenge the 145 pound champion once again, but there is also a change that after two defeats he will call out Paulie for a boxing match. Cheesy. Lesnar and Conor are the biggest pay per view stars and i think the record is with Lesnar .

Conor McGregor is only 29 and you want him to retire from the MMA if he loses to Khabib? But from what I have seen, if you lose just one match then your morale will take a hit and it is going to be very difficult to get back to the winning mode. This is what happened to Fedor Emelianenko after he lost that match to Fabrício Werdum.
14757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is buying new listed coin profitable? on: April 25, 2018, 01:40:03 AM
From what I have noticed during my five years association with crypto, the majority of the newly listed coins undergo a pump during the initial 3-4 days. So it will be better to purchase them after 1-2 weeks, once the pump-and-dump cycle is over.
14758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: April 25, 2018, 01:37:59 AM
Nowadays it is difficult to make a direct choice between these two assets. I would rather prefer to hold both of them, on top of some of the other promising coins such as Bitcoin Cash, NEO and Monero. However, I will be holding more BTC when compared to ETH (probably the ratio being 3:1).
14759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: April 25, 2018, 01:35:44 AM
coin that is fast for high I recommend the bitcoin, ethereum and bitcoin cash. because the three coins viewed from the graph has a fairly high development

So you have listed two altcoins - Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash. I would add one more - Monero. These three looks like the most reliable and high potential altcoins out there. There are a few other options as well, such as Litecoin and NEO, but I don't want to diversify my assets by too much.
14760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: April 25, 2018, 01:33:39 AM
The Bitcoin exchange rates are approaching the $10K mark once again, after hitting a low of around $6,000 per coin. For me, this is a solid sign that the correction phase is over. If you want to invest, then make your moves right now without any delay.
