Not a problem!  The two PSU is great.  Once you look at 1200+ watts and more for a good brand it just really gets up there on price.  Two makes it easier ROI Smiley.

The only thing i thought of on hub would be amazing if you maybe add power connectors to connect computer fans to it.  Keep a little air flow with that many USB miners.
14763  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Sales] K1 Nanos - Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: July 15, 2013, 05:35:47 PM
Would LOVE that hub.  Hope it goes well.  Will be watching!

You can not change the adress with someone else

We both have chosen hosting...

If you trust him good luck with that. I wouldn't do it unless TH switched over ownership. So TH will contact you instead, when they need your BTC address.  That way no one will have any control over your boards. Not even considering you sending him 8 BTC and hoping he's honest.
That's the plan, only if TH mediates we will proceed!

fyi my paypal claim turns over to paypal tomorrow the 16th if terrahash does not respond to the claim.
if terrahash does not respond to either you or paypal then the deal is off, as presumably i will be getting a refund via paypal.

On mine TH never responded.  Just a threatening email outside of paypal when i did claim.  But nothing working within paypal.  Hope you have better luck though.

did you upgrade it to a claim from a refund request?
if so did paypal side with you on the claim?

edit: i reread your post, you did claim, still no resolution?

They sided with my claim.  TH never wanted to work within paypal, sent message using paypal was abuse and i should have canceled claim.  Had to wait a while since they never commented in paypal dispute or claim, but after thier time expired paypal sided with me.

I'm not sure what page but i put the whole episode somewhere in this massive thread.  I hope yours goes much smoother then mine.

I tried the DIY method, personally i didnt care for it considering amount of money i had invested in cards.   It does work on DIY.  But personally i would use it temp and get the cable.

If you use the cable computer turns on/off both power supplies.   Its a very nice setup.   And PSU's are considerably cheaper since you can buy 2 and split load.
14766  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: MSI 770-g45 with 3 or 4 cards + two PSUs?? on: July 15, 2013, 03:01:23 PM
I have two questions.
1. How many cards could I use on my MSI 770-g45 mobo? I have two pciex16 slots and like three 1x slots. I have a 1x to 16x powered riser arriving today because I already have two cards in the x16 slots. I searched and found nothing about this mobo.

2. POWER. I have two 550w supplies and would need them both to power the same rig to use more than two 6950s. Could I do this-

http://www.overclock.net/t/15751/info-can-i-use-two-power-supplies-with-one-computer

and just turn the spare psu on first, then the rig with the main one?

Thanks

I personally like a cable like http://www.amazon.com/Vantacor-Dual-Adapter-Cable-2-way/dp/B00DL3L2J6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1373900453&sr=8-3&keywords=dual+psu+cable

One thing make sure not to mix the power supplies.  Ex both going into one card.  Have one or other going into the GPU.

Any help with I get a error when trying to use "mingw-get install mingw32-gmp"  .  Specifically "mingw-get: command not found.  Thanks!

When adding a payment method (either Credit card or Paypal) there's no place to put a coupon code. Is the promotion gone?

Yes it is gone.
14769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] [FASTER!] Mining PrimeCoin using DigitalOcean (VPS) on: July 15, 2013, 02:03:28 PM
How do i replace the ancient version with the new one, without delete/recreate my droplet? And keeping the same wallet

I replace it.  Here, lete me help you out some on linux.  I move the old files out and then create a new section.

Quote
primecoind stop
cd ~
mv primecoin old4
git clone https://github.com/mikaelh2/primecoin

cd ~/primecoin/src
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
mkdir ~/.primecoin
echo "rpcuser=miner2
rpcpassword=test2
gen=1" > ~/.primecoin/primecoin.conf
sudo mv primecoind /usr/local/bin/.

primecoind --daemon

You need to do "mingw-get install mingw32-gmp" before compiling, else you get this error message:

Code:
In file included from main.cpp:16:0:
prime.h:10:17: fatal error: gmp.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/mail.o] Error 1

I get a error when trying to use "mingw-get install mingw32-gmp"  .  Specifically "mingw-get: command not found"

I believe the theoretical limit of 127 devices - have yet to verify this myself tho Wink

What is the highest that someone has proved?  I would LOVE to see a pic of large amount using this.

How much you earn for each pps?
1 pps is equal to .... (how much primecoin per share)?

thanks

Shares are irrelevant if you're mining solo.

and how much you can earn with 100 pps?

Its a lot of luck.  But if you doing 1 machine or instance and its 100 pps, chances are slim of finding something.
14776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PRIMECOIN: difficulty is going ballistic - miners hold on to your coins on: July 15, 2013, 03:09:25 AM
Its been really sad to see it drop so fast....

I hope its truly just a few with open CL miner or something.  It's not looking promising long term atm.

Anyone looking use escrow!
14778  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy ASICMiner Blade (mini or full) on: July 15, 2013, 02:08:07 AM
i'm very interested in your group buy as i rather dread having spend the next two weeks glued to my computer so i can jump on a blade when they get released. however i have to say i would feel more confident if escrow were involved. Is this a possibility? I would be willing to pay escrow fees

Look at group buys Canary is the man on USB's from group buys.   No need for escrow in this case... look in group buys.  So just order and sleep well Smiley.
