14761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins with potential to x100? on: April 25, 2018, 01:31:35 AM
Nowadays a lot of people are talking about Deep Onion. Some say that it is having a high growth potential, while some others say that it is a scam. Recently they ended their airdrop program. But the prices stayed stable even after the last airdrop was completed.
14762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: April 25, 2018, 01:27:49 AM
BTG has reallly tremendous long-term investment potential, you can get up with great confidence anywhere below 100$

I am not sure about that. Many of those who invested in BTG did so, because of the success of BCH. Bitcoin Cash is still going strong, but during the past few months I have failed to notice any increase in the user-base or trade volumes for BTG.
14763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: April 25, 2018, 01:25:32 AM
They are completely two different things. But bounty is for people that don't have money or don't want to risk. Bounty is good when you have a lot subscribers and followers in twitter or youtube for example.

You can get real followers for any social media account (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit.etc), if you are ready to spend some money. I purchased 600 Twitter followers a few months back for $10. So it is not a big concern, I'd say.
14764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All in ETH now? on: April 25, 2018, 01:22:42 AM
ETH prices are down very low. Is this the right time to all in ETH?

This post was made almost a month ago. If you had invested in ETH by then, you would have got around 80% returns in four weeks. I am not a big fan of Ether. But it has proven again and again that it is one of the most profitable coins to make your investment.
14765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: April 25, 2018, 01:21:53 AM
No.  I do not like airdrops.  I think it's a waste of time.  It's better to spend time looking for a good bounty.

Hmm... recently, the quality of the airdrops have gone down and many of them are no longer worth the time and effort. But the same argument is applicable for the bounties as well. Their quality has been also going down.
14766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: MEW DNS COMPROMISED, OVER 215 ETHER STOLEN on: April 25, 2018, 12:50:30 AM
While there are multiple threads up about this, it's important so I will write again:
always check that the little green lock next to the url bar is green!

you can also download MyEtherWallet and run locally!!!

Or you could just not use MEW and switch to something more safe and secure

Which other wallet is more safe and secure compared to Myetherwallet? MEW is having more than 10 million users and till now they didn't had any serious issues with bugs or hacks.
14767  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: April 24, 2018, 02:06:02 AM
''"In the current trend, 27 per cent of girls — nearly 1.5 million girls — get married before they turn 18 in India. This is a sharp decline from 47 per cent a decade ago."

Declining yes, 1.5m is still a ton. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-06/child-marriage-in-india-nearly-halves-in-decade/9519504

I don't want to divert the topic here, but child marriages occur in many of the western nations as well, including nations which boast of 100% literacy rates. India is a country of 1,300 million people. You'll find all sort of psychopaths here, including pedophiles who want to marry 10-year old girls.

And BTW, some of the Indian states recently enabled individuals to identify as transgender in the census forms.
14768  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest media cover up success by Obama admin: Fukushima on: April 24, 2018, 02:02:12 AM
As of now, I can't find any reliable evidence to prove that a large number of people suffered serious health consequences as a result of the Fukushima disaster. For me, this sounds like empty propaganda by the pro-fossil fuel lobby.
14769  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: April 24, 2018, 01:59:09 AM
Pinky winky  Cry

2 years after it actually exactly went like i said  Cry

But he is still much better than Hillary. I am not satisfied with the performance of Trump. But the American voters had very few options. Imagine what Hillary could have done if she was elected as the POTUS. By now we may be having major conflicts against Iran and DPRK (and probably against Russia as well). The election of Trump delayed the 3rd world war.
14770  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kill Syrians because Syrians are killing Syrians... on: April 24, 2018, 01:56:48 AM
And I certainly wish that they could be converted via a peaceful way, rather than like this. But it isn't happening through peace. They simply won't change.

I wouldn't say that having such wild fantasies is a crime. But this is beyond ridiculous. You are talking about converting the Syrians to Christianity, at the same time when hundreds of thousands of native Europeans (especially young women) are converting to Islam every year.
14771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: April 24, 2018, 01:53:02 AM
Poor performance by Gautum Gambhir, just 4 runs on 13 balls. DD should've been able to chase out this low-score target.

It was indeed very poor performance from Gambhir. At 36-years, he may need to rethink about his future in the IPL. A few years back, he used to be one of the most expensive players during the auctions... but I don't think that he will feature in the next year's edition.
14772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: April 24, 2018, 01:50:10 AM
Of the 3 candidates you mentioned, I doubt France. I personally doubt the quality of France has long even in the Euro yesterday as well. If for Germany, they are the strongest candidates, player quality is evenly distributed in every position.

I agree with you. France has little chance of lifting the world cup this time. I have checked various betting sites and the favorites seems to be Brazil, followed by Germany. Some of the betting sites such as Skybet has given equal odds for both Brazil and Germany (9/2).
If you look at the quality of players, indeed the three teams have a desire to win in FIF WORLD CUP 2018. But in the world of football there will always be surprises, like Italy who have good quality players but they do not qualify to appear in FIFA WORLD CUP. There is a possibility the three teams will not win.

It is possible that the winner may come outside these three (Germany, Brazil or France). Argentina can be a strong contender, although they are in pathetic form right now. Other teams worth mentioning are Spain, Belgium, England and Portugal.
14773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 24, 2018, 01:47:12 AM
The ongoing IPL Armageddon has meant that the other tournaments going on around the world receive little attention. The ICC World T20 qualifiers for West Asia region is underway. Anyone interested? Right now, UAE is leading with 2 wins out of 2 matches.
haha...ya right exactlty no one cares about it infront of the IPL...i am also a great cricket follower but even i dont know about this qualifiets infront of the IPL...but you told me so i would surely check on that...but IPL is some thing different level of entertainment

West Asian qualifiers are full of Indian and Pakistani expats playing for various Gulf teams. Only Maldives is having native players in their final XI. I checked the squads of other teams such as UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. None of these teams have any Arab players in the final XI.

Earlier the ICC had a rule that the final XI should have at least 4-5 players with the citizenship of that particular country. But this rule was removed a few years ago. Now the teams such as UAE are entirely made up of expats with not a single citizen in the final line-up.
14774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: April 24, 2018, 01:42:45 AM
It is true that you need a small initial capital to invest in crypto-currency. But the advantage with Bitcoin is that it is almost infinitely divisible. So if you want to purchase Bitcoin for $2 or $5, you can do that (provided that you find a seller who is willing to trade with you).
14775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 24, 2018, 01:41:17 AM
i am not sure satoshi nakamoto is alone even i see it is a group name, i am also amazed to see what he made up to this time is really big, just waiting time maybe he came back at a really good time

Almost 10 years have passed and we haven't seen any evidence to prove that Satoshi Nakamoto is alive. I don't know what happened to him, but the chances that he will come back some time in the future is close to zero. I am 90% sure that this individual is no longer alive.
14776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My BIGGEST cryptocurrency mistake on: April 24, 2018, 01:38:32 AM
My biggest cryptocurrency mistakes is the negative trust that I made before, because I don't believe the good contributions of cryptocurrency, that's why I'm too late to join cryptocurrency business. Last 2014 I already knew about cryptocurrency when one of my friend introduced about cryptocurrency, but I don't believe on that time until I noticed that cryptocurrency is actually a life changer and also a econonic contributor.

You don't need to worry about that, because 90% of the users here have done the same mistake at some point in their life. Even I decided to invest in Bitcoin in 2013, when the exchange rates were already close to $1,000 per coin. I ignored the suggestion from my friend in 2012, when the prices were around $4 per coin.
14777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: April 24, 2018, 01:34:32 AM
With volatile digital assets such as crypto-currencies, long-term holding is not a preferred investment strategy. But at the same time, there is no point in indulging in panic selling and losing up to 80% of your capital. What we need is something in between.
14778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future? on: April 24, 2018, 01:32:28 AM
Yes, I believe there will be at least one coin to pass bitcoin's market cap this year. And if not this year, then next year. Telegram's ICO is poised for MASSIVE success. We can't invest in it without $25M, but keep your eye on it once it hits market.

I don't think that it is going to happen this year. We have three coins which have the potential to overtake BTC in terms of market cap - Ethereum, Ripple and Bitcoin Cash. But right now, none of them looks as if they are capable of overtaking BTC.
14779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My BIGGEST cryptocurrency mistake on: April 24, 2018, 01:27:09 AM
December 2017 during the high of highs, I made a huge mistake, I allowed greed and fomo, ignored my gut and bought into NXT because I was chasing Ignis airdrop. The coin has since tanked and I still have not received the airdrop. Nxt is probably 80/90 down.

What is your biggest cryptocurrency mistake???

You lost 90% of your amount investing in NXT. But look at my case. There were times when I lost my entire investment (100%) after I invested in some little known alts. A few that comes to my mind right now are Quarkcoin, Ixcoin and Freicoin.
14780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Millions in ETH be Released? on: April 24, 2018, 01:25:23 AM
If I lose all my savings that are in cash under my bed - because I made a silly mistake, or because someone stole it from me - should the state, or the people in my road, or anyone, provide a way for me to recover those funds? If so, it might mean that I could be as careless as I liked because I would always get my money back. So would everyone else. Careful people would in effect be subsidizing the careless. The value of the currency would fall.

Couldn't put it any better than this. If this is allowed to go ahead, then Ether's reputation will take a hit (once again). No one is going to trust this currency again and this is going to be good news for some of its competitors, such as Stellar, Waves and NEO.
