14782  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: November 07, 2014, 07:48:01 PM
God will never drag you. With Him you are always free. Come back to the Light. Revive your hurt soul and spirit. Go directly to the loving Father, Himself. Only you can do this for yourself. There is none other that can do it for you. Only you can come into the Light yourself.

You may feel sluggish after eating God's body, but that's just from the carbs.  Whether you see God as a father or mother, the FSM accepts you as who you are.

14785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Does bitcoin core require password for every transaction? on: November 07, 2014, 08:05:38 AM
I am using version 0.93 (latest version).

The first time I send coins, it will ask me for my passphrase.

If I send coins again, do I need to re-enter the passphrase?  I haven't shut down the application.

Did you not have a password on? You should post the address it went to. Maybe we can trace or track the user.

I did have a very strong password on it.  But I hadn't sent bicoins in at least a week.  The password was the same as my Password Manager (LastPass).   Embarrassed  and I type that in on a regular basis, but I didn't take into account keyloggers.  Sad

I need to download the blockchain and make a new hot wallet.  Then I will post the address and transaction info.  It was around 4:1417 am last night, Mountain Standard Time, for exactly 2 bitcoins.

Badbear has moved them to Archives for a few hours.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=59.0

The mods worked so quickly and the community responded so fast he/was was limited to two threads and a few random post edits, which have been repaired by Badbear.  Smiley

I have removed all malware links.

Let this be a lesson to any noobs who think they can leave Bitcoin just floating around on the net even the experienced members lose it from time to time, np Vod I thought you were posting in quite broken English Cheesy

What did hacker post?

I didn't get to see any of the posts.   Undecided  The one thread I saw was a malware link.
14790  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apologies to anyone who read my posts last night! on: November 07, 2014, 06:36:01 AM
how much BTC did they got from you?

That's the VERY odd thing...

I had 2.89btc in my hot wallet.

They withdrew 2... leaving 0.89, or about $360.

It's not like they were rushed or anything seeing they posted links here.

So the question that will forever haunt me is why did they leave bitcoin behind.
14791  Other / Off-topic / Apologies to anyone who read my posts last night! on: November 07, 2014, 05:33:49 AM
Last evening I reported a malware link, and the moderators quickly deleted it.

I was stupid, and wanted to verify it was malware, so I ran it, thinking my anti-virus would protect me.  Nothing happened.

Not knowing I was infected, I went to bed.

I woke up last night with my two monitors on (not in power save mode).  This happens every now and then, so I rolled over and went back to sleep.  Turns out it was a hacker using my computer by remote control.  Since I was logged into Bitcointalk, they were able to make posts as myself.

They also withdrew coins out of my hot wallet.  Sad

I apologize to anyone who clicked on any of the malware links that were posted last night.  Like someone posted, you should never trust a link from any member - even a Legendary one.

This brings to light the need for neutral feedback. In my opinion this allows a user to leave a message on someone's profile without any rating.

I asked that that be made a feature of the new forum.

Additionally I find it rather hilarious you have such an issue with my single use of the feedback system in this way when other users with FAR MORE trust than me on the default trust list leave negative feedback for people based only on hunches or personal opinions.

If you are posting about me, why haven't you let me know your feelings before this?  My hunches are always correct, and I try not to leave feedback based on personal opinion.  If I do, I welcome you to call me on it, or send me a PM.
I don't disagree with this use of the trust system. IMO it naturally balances out. If you leave tons of negative feedback, people will take your feedback less seriously. I am simply pointing out that it is far easier to attack me rather than some one like you whom, it might be fair to say is in "the good old boys" network, and can push back against his accusations a lot more easily than myself. Basically I am a convenient person for him to make an example of over his frustrations of other people using the system this way far more often than I do, and with more trust.

Badbear doesn't need to "attack" me - he can simply and quietly untrust me and all my power goes away, as I am not at the root of the trust system.  He is, and he trusts me at level 2.  Believe it or not, Badbear and I communicate less than once a month, and we certainly don't collaborate on our trust.

I hope you'll call me out anytime you see me leaving feedback you deem to be personal.  I do leave a lot of negative feedback, but that's because there are a lot of scammers.  I HOPE people don't view my feedback as less truthful because I leave a lot of it.

This is really scary, they are basically saying you cannot help people that cannot survive on their own.

How do you know these people cannot survive on their own?  What if they are just lazy, like dank?  If a city has provided services to a person for a couple years and they are able to work but unwilling, why should the city keep paying for those services?
14799  Economy / Lending / Re: Doubt about the account collateral. on: November 06, 2014, 07:19:17 AM
i am not able to handover my personal email id access to lender. Because, without this mail account, my every work on internet will get stucked .

Well, as long as this account is linked to that email, there is no way your account could securely be held as collateral. You could recover it whenever you wanted to from this email, which I'm sure you would agree would make it worthless collateral.

According to Vod, There is no need to handover my personal email account access. When the lender can change my mail id without verification.

Correct.  You do not need to hand over your personal email account.

When the lender (or collateral holder) gets your account password, he/she will change the email address.

When you pay off the loan, they will give you the account password - you can login and change the email address back.

If the email id linked with this account can be changed without verification. Then How can i recover my account password. How is it possible for me to recover my account again.?

You cannot recover it.  Once you pay off your loan, the owner of the account would have to give it back to you.
