1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Estonia could offer ‘estcoins’ to e-residents (proposal to issue tokens w/ ICO) on: October 10, 2017, 07:40:36 PM
It seems that it will not be happening.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/no-estonia-isnt-launching-an-ico-for-a-state-backed-digital-currency/

That s sad for me since i wanted to see what would happen if they did. I was thinking that it would have been a great success.

1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty][Ended] Centra - Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: October 08, 2017, 11:10:00 PM
Hi, everybody i made a calculate and there are nearly 2440 stakes on Spreadsheet. For signature and avatar we will get 500.000 Centra token so every stake mean 500.000 / 2440 = 205 centra token so if you have 5 stake you will get nearly 1025 centra token. Good work team thank you. I will just get nearly 287 centra token for me thank you ..

Its seems that your math is very bad.

2% of all tokens are given away in bounty = 2 000 000 *2%
25 % of that is to signature campaign = 2 000 000 *2% *25%
Divided by total shares 2 000 000 *2% *25% / 2600 =3,84

"It sEeMs ThAt YoUr MaTh Is VeRy BaD"
the irony is strong in this one. Oh my G!
the total token issued is 100,000,000 so the 2% is 2,000,000.

OKEY! I am wrong.
Actually this time I dont mind being wrong Cheesy

My apologies.

1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: October 06, 2017, 01:13:24 AM
I don't believe that this is the beginning of the death of bitcoin. Even if I'm a noob here, I still believe that crypto era has just begun. That's my opinion though.

Some believe the crypto era is ending with the adoption of quantum computers.   Undecided

OMG, i had to reply to you.
Quantum computing is so far away, media do not know what they are talking about.

Also I have to agree with "Barbarian" banks will have to react in one way or other. I am thinking A- they will push for bans and regulations B - try to adapt
Or B comes after A
1486  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: October 06, 2017, 01:08:20 AM
I think that this thread has a problem from the beginning - how do you define a BANK? A BTC BANK?

Coinbase, Bitstamp and others already fulfil most of the real life FIAT bank tasks - holding, trading , verifying identities.

I think the most important matter is that there is fast options to get the currencies out, so there would not be this fundamental problem with banks, that one has the money theoretically but in reality bank is just giving you assurances that in event of withdrawal you will have this amount. There are so many examples when banks have gone under because the management has lost the money of their customers in schemes.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feeling the BTC bubble, diversification Qs... on: October 06, 2017, 12:47:58 AM
I started trading few months ago and do not trade BTC. Why? Because the potential profits are small compared to other alts.
If I had 2000 $ and additional funds to invest right now, I would consider BTC for long term.

Right now half of mine money is in Ripple, it is seeing significant movement in the past days and I am holding for short term.
In near future I am planning to Buy Monero for long term because I believe that it is overlooked and has potential because of anonymity.
Also for short term- LTC , because it is overlooked.

Also in my portfolio is NEO and BTCCash- which was a bad decision, cant see how i will get back my investment now.

Overall strategy is to trade relatively big on popular currencies and invest gains in new promising project for big potential gains.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY or AIRDROPS ???? on: October 04, 2017, 07:28:09 PM
I only recently found out about AIRDROPS.

And do not understand the difference between them.
Bounty- you get reward for job which can have different terms for different projects.

Airdrops- you register for airdrops which happen periodically without doing anything?
This seems too good to be true.
Also I recently saw a project where they where airdropping if you make 10 posts a week. In this case this is just a different type of bounty pay out and there is no difference at all. Correct me if i am wrong.

1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: October 04, 2017, 06:38:21 PM
For me this kind of situation when value of coin is going up in anticipation of conference and big news is not understandable.
I would say that people do not like change and fear it thus want to sell coins in order to be safe.

Right now the opposite is happening, people are buying not selling.
That being said in last week it was looking that ripple wants to go up but could not quite manage it, maybe now its time.

Also almost a week ago i went ahead and bought some.
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought my first DeepOnions on: October 04, 2017, 12:46:53 PM
Ok, the idea is great, Tor community needs these kinds of solutions.
But.
In my mind there are a lot of questions right now , why DeepOnion is needed if there is other alternatives ready for use. Monero, Dash, etc.
Please correct me if I am wrong, I just dont see why there is need for another anonymous coin. Is there advantages of this particular coin?
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: October 04, 2017, 12:23:30 PM
Instantly rich- thats quite funny, everyone on this planet is hoping for that, at least the ones who are not rich  Grin

BTC cant make you rich instantly , you have to have right capital to invest .Although BTC has huge value compared to other alts, the increase is not so huge . Over time you can double your money or triple it maybe but it will take a lot of patience . For example this in mind is good approximation :
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/6000-bitcoin-price-within-reach-by-end-of-year/
So in order to get rich in this scenario by end of this year, one should invest a lot of money!

Also there is option to use Forex type trading with leverage but that has high gambling factor.
1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys withdraw your bitcoins to cash? on: October 04, 2017, 05:10:32 AM
I personally send BTC to Bitstamp and withdraw to my Bank account.

I assume that in India there is no such option.
I would suggest that the best options would be to sell your BTC locally like in local bitcoins. Maybe try to use twitter or Facebook to find potential buyers faster.
1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: October 04, 2017, 04:57:01 AM
The amount of denial here is surprising to me, because the illegal deals of block-chain are a considerable part of system.
That being said I am not gonna make waves here Cheesy
Will only note that I have been on DarkSide but not have bought anything and that was a long time before cops got around . As far as I know BTC is no longer the king of currencies there because there are other more anonymous, faster and with cheaper transactions out there.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coin to buy in October? on: October 04, 2017, 02:42:37 AM
First that i am hearing about sentry. I am cautious of them right now, dont know if their goal is achievable.

Other coins I am monitoring and thinking of buying this month are:
Monero
LTC
Namecoin ( if falls beneath 1$)
Siacoin
Paragoncoin (after crowdsale is done)
1495  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 04, 2017, 02:25:16 AM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

This would make a very poor definition  Grin : " You are investing your money and time."
When you sit down by roulette table you are investing your time and money.

But on more serious note , Every investment is gambling , you never know what will happen, you can only study as hard as you can and make decisions based on your information. Often there is no indications of what is going to happen. BTC can drop to half the price and stay there for months, you never know. If you wont be patient in this certain time frame , you can lose big.

1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: October 04, 2017, 02:18:05 AM
The negative side of bitcoin is anonymous, maybe someday there is a wallet provider that requires identity verification so it can make the user responsible for all transactions done.

This is so not true.
One of the most beautiful parts is apparent anonymity so that governments and banks cant freeze your money or track it even if its legally obtained. What is yours is yours.

Besides it is hard but it is possible to track BTC in some level.

to reply the original post, i think it is foolish to assume that BTC increased criminality , criminal minds tend to use criminal opportunities. Thus law enforcement only got more information about these criminals when they used BTC in their criminal activities otherwise they would not have had information about their criminal activities because they would have done other activities.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Antshares/ NEO [NEO] on: October 04, 2017, 12:23:17 AM
When will this stupid renaming hysteria with NEO be over?
Seems that people still haven't had enough. I bet >50% of holders bought it because the name was changed and no other reason.

This mentality of 'Ret rich quick' with everything new is just hilarious.

ICO = success
Asian project = success
Asian project + ICO = Big success
Asian project + ICO + Vitalik as advisor = 10x with 1 month

Forget everything you know about investing except "the market is always right". If it works it works, and why not profit from it in the meantime?

I like your theory. This idea is something that I am adopting recently. It does not matter if the project is bad or not, the important thing is whether the public believes in it and buys it.  The market rules.

Was very optimistic about the climb of NEO, do not have an idea why it started to fall after hitting ~36$,any ideas?
But in the same time it is good opportunity to buy again, more!
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: October 04, 2017, 12:13:55 AM
Initial reports from Chinese media that the government plans to close down domestic cryptocurrency exchanges have seen the virtual coin shed more than $100.  Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal also reported that the country is planning to shut down digital currency exchanges.

Do you have any source for this information?

And to answer the original question.
It will definitely not die. But i am wondering what would happen in the scenario when China bans mining?
How would that impact the price and transaction speeds and the whole network ?
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if China ban was temporary on: October 04, 2017, 12:07:38 AM
According to a post by Forbes, The Chinese ban might be temporary because they want to appease international agencies and hardcore communist members ahead of the upcoming Communist Party convention. So if the ban was to be lifted today or anytime soon, how prepared would you be to make a great opportunity out of it since it only means two things, a massive price increase or decrease

Source:  https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosmourdoukoutas/2017/09/25/why-chinas-ban-on-bitcoin-may-be-temporary/2/#1c8055057d09

First of all the China influence is almost* gone, the market now represents  all other countries combined. And it is doing very well.
Second. China will definitely come back in some level because it si just plain stupid not to. This is too big industry to do so.

*there should be considerable amount of Chinese players in the market right now who are bypassing this ban.

In case of good news from China, it would wonderful for all of us who are invested.
1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Created Bitcoin ? on: October 03, 2017, 06:57:39 PM
I think that the argument that a lot of technology is adapted from military is valid, but i do not see any military use of this.

On other hand the CIA could have been interested to make something completely anonymous for their black operations and could believe that.
Also i dont believe that one person could have developed something so complex in respect to other technology at the time.
