I would suggest not to use any Linux OS, it is not safe. You can not have good anti virus with Linux, so also your BTC will not be safe. If you think you can find good anti virus soft with Linux, just try to find it.
But don't forget that there are very little virus targeting at Linux machines at the same time. but there are virus designed to steal bitcoins, mainly included in rogue alt wallets. what does not means windows is safer |
