I see you want a single hole.  A ten inch hole is too small. You will restrict airflow.

And you are looking to move the air more then six feet.  That restricts air flow

What I have on that HD screenshot is a 12in register with 16in duct to fit over the gable fan. I would maybe want 6ft of ducting at most. just enough to reach the fan suspended from the rafters. Thoughts on those diameters?

That's alright, you mentioned it was just a fail over anyway. I have that good block feeling. Smiley

Yea, lets lock this up. I the playfulness has died it's death.

Thank you for those who found and saw the humor.

We reached out for a testing unit. Hopefully we'll get a response and post some results for the Z9.
1486  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: July 22, 2018, 05:24:20 AM
There are some cheaper options for hubs just make sure the amps per port are sufficient.

Off topic note:
Why sell the 1080? drop that thing to 60% power with OCs, stack some shitcoin, and drop some bags on a pump. Or trade for BTC. Alts will make you profits or add to bitcoin holds. Profit is made not given (getting off soapbox now).

Yea, in about 1,000 years. .. ... lol My goal is to collect all the sticks the company ordered. Rumor has it there are six. I have two. Feels like 'Ready Player One' a little bit (to bad the movie was terrible btw).

Tonight's beer: Terminal Gravity Eagle Cap IPA, "Center of the Universe" and a little home grown dab.

Edit for block rain dance.

2nd edit. Wife gave me vegan cheese made from coconut. Please save yourselves from this abomination.
1489  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: T2 Group on: July 21, 2018, 07:36:24 PM
So is this group buy still open?

Hopefully my response wont be seen as advertising.

T2's are no longer ordered in a MOQ. So you can order directly from Innosilicon if buyers prefer. Looking at the time line here, ruinous was probably on the last few group batches we were facilitating till they dropped the MOQ of 5. But the price did go up slightly on these as well form 1080 to 1118. Odd but true. I imagine the mods can close this, as their buy was confirmed delivered a few weeks ago.

Thank you.

I believe stock speeds you'll want 1-2A per usb port for a 2pac. I had one running stock on my surface port which was fine and kind of fun distraction through the day. If you want the a well built and quality USB hub for mining Eyeboot is doing some good work.

Edit: definitely go with a powered hub some will even use atx psu in case you have spares or older ones lying around.

Yea, somehow I was able to "collect" another stick miner floating around here. Going to make -ck and I rich with 30gh on solo.ckpool.
1492  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [120PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: July 20, 2018, 11:31:29 PM

Time and again, I see people that need "instant gratification" and their "greed" for that blinds them to the mathematical fact that their actions run counter to their greed goals. Beyond that, I don't see why this pool didn't massively grow more at any given point in the last year.

It was an adjustment for me earlier in April when I moved here when our hash rate was 15PH or so. Now, it should be much "easier" or comfortable for people to switch over. Once people learn more about tx fees, scoring, and payouts they'll tend to show up.

Wow, guess I need to get the exhaust situation worked out so I can stay powered on. We have another run of hot days coming next week, back to high 90's and 90F is about my limit right now to keep all four on. Why such a large increase?
1494  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Canaan vs. Bitmain PSUs test on: July 20, 2018, 05:16:54 AM

If you run an Avalon 841 in a room over 80f it burns more power.

I did most tests with the Corsair ax1500i

But I did test the delta 2400 watt and the hp 2450 watt

All of them. Run better when the room is at 67f

All of them run worse when the room is at 85f

I did test up to 91f with the 2400 watt delta and it pulled 1545 watts

I did test up to 100 f with the atx1500i. And it pulled about 1525 watts.

If you live in a seasonal place I am NJ. You will need to downclock or ac cool for 3-5 months and you will do very well for the cooler months

So the corsair are more efficient at higher temps? Makes sense for psu designed to mounted inside a desktop. Much larger intake fans on my evga 1600w than the antminer or other brands. Only draw back was $400 price tag when I bought them.
1495  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: July 20, 2018, 04:24:35 AM
Ok great so my assumption or feeling that 3k was bout ball park for the hot weather in removal. Not everything is an antminer half of my four units are currently. Since I probably won't max more than 8 i'll look to move forward in the next few weeks with the project.

I know gable fans come with humidifiers and thermostats, but since I'll want the fan on always but not just at max I'll look and see if there are or is a way to wire the fan to reduce/gain speed at certain temps and not just shut off entirely. So far I see only dual speed models.

I'll take a block a day here or ck's solo pool. Either or is great.  Wink

Fuck what a day.  .. . nice to come home to a beer and a block.
1498  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: July 19, 2018, 03:33:02 AM
I wouldn't be able to run more than the eight with my power as is. Plus this is at home and I'll hope to venture out to cheaper power and bigger space if/as needed. So 3k would be plenty and the 1.6k cfm would be about the minimum then?
1499  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [120PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: July 19, 2018, 03:21:48 AM
Welp, I know what to get -ck for managing the pool. Wink
