I highly doubt Satoshi would do any such stupid things, provided we are considering real satoshi here! Otherwise it will just end up being similar to BSV, which obviously we don't want! So I would probably stay with the original bitcoin but will keep the door open for rethinking looking at the community. I alone would not take the decision! So it depends! I believe even if he or she proves his identity as Satoshi, most people still would not prefer the new coin over Bitcoin. I think it is about adoption but it may reach #2 in the market if satoshi is really serious about that  yah the poll says otherwise |

Why will he, when he knows there is no need for it. It's true that we shouldn't trust or leave any fund in the exchange not because they're going to run with the funds but they're always vulnerable to hackers. On the other hand I'm getting curious about this... what if they use a bitcoin mixer to transfer the funds? We all know that it's a big amount of bitcoin right? But what if they transfer it partially? Do you think it will be still traceable to discover where the bitcoins are?
Or maybe that's what they did.

The hyped in 2017 cause bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies to surged toward the end of the year and complete crashed back to the bottom in December 2018. Did people really know what they are investing in? Is a question that keeps ringing in my mind and actually the answer to that question is that people follow the hype and forgot to checked for reality before investing and this come from the testimony of those that has claim of making big profits or gain from the past surge that came into the cryptocurrencies market.
I think the red flag there is that people think of what they are going to get from their investments into cryptocurrencies more than the capital they have invested and as results when the reality done on them, they began to sell out of panic and in turn the market clash like it happens through 2018.
Now that we have another opportunity to invest because of the down turned, I do believe that it is good you look at the reality behind any coin you want to invest in and not the FUD, manipulations, FOMO and hype behind those coins.

I watched the news last night and I saw how people were demanding better service and/or rights by acting collectively. They might turn to drastic measures like boycotts or Strikes or even mass mailing complaints to accomplish their goals. We want these services to start to take Bitcoin seriously, but we are not pushing hard enough. I think we should target one online merchant and then mass email them collectively to ask them if they could consider accepting Bitcoin as a payment option. We could switch merchants every other week to reach more merchants.  Someone should just start a Poll to ask people what merchant should be targeted first and then details should be posted about the contact details of their support to get things started. I have been contacting some services individually, but it is not making any impact... I think if MANY people do this collectively.. then companies will see that there are lots of demand for Bitcoin payments for their services or goods on their platform.
