1481  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: May 05, 2023, 07:49:50 PM
- Once uploaded, images cannot be deleted (unless you use the link generated at the time of upload, which is only accessible at that time).
- All EXIF information is deleted by the system when uploading.
- It is only possible to have an account on the site if requested by the user and after analysis.
- Images hosted on the server are dedicated exclusively to TalkImg.
It's always a thing of great interest and one that definitely comes with some pleasure to note that users are really up and doing on trying to better the forum through these affiliate sites. One thing though, I'll suggest and feel more comfortable if, the site gives its users much free hand and privacy that the forum offers. On that, I've got a few concerns of my own since I haven't seen anyone make much interest even as I scanned through few pages and posts.

* Account on request. Literally or it means something else because, notary would want to file in a request.
* Deletion of image only by that exception? So, one can't have an after thought and change there mind... it seems too much not to have to have an after thought.
1482  Other / Meta / Re: Great addition for reports -- Age of a post on: May 05, 2023, 07:10:20 PM
Yeah this means that if the post which is reported is six months old, the mods will not check it if it falls under the following reporting criteria.
Quote
We generally do not moderate posts this old for on-topicness, substantiveness, multi-posting, and other "cleanliness" issues.
However, it can still be acted upon if it is reported for plagiarism.
It might not seem like a short time but, 6 months is still a long enough time for information on a thread to have attained the much publicity it needs on the forum and should it be something worth reporting, one might have noted and done that. Its half a year of we dont really realise that. Still, I don't think it's something that won't be acted upon if looked up. Its very much up to the moderators on that as we all know.

Still, the rule might not directly ask moderators to act on it but, its not justification that you've escaped some adversities that could come by the message you passed. Rules still remains rules.
1483  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Bitcoin reduce corruption in governance? on: May 04, 2023, 11:54:55 PM
Corruption is a part of human nature. Ain't kithing taking that away from humans except, someone with good morals haven't to chose to look above selfish interest and see things gor the greater good.

In fact, should the government sort out gor means of going private and silent in there corrupt practices, cryptocurrency might be some tool to aid them but the fact that bitcoin transactions could still be traced and should exchanges comply to request by investigators over fraudulent allegations, they will make sure to be wear.
1484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't claim to be an investor if it's still like this on: May 04, 2023, 09:55:58 PM
Investing is not an easy task. It should be understood that without preparation it is quite difficult to get the result. The investment process itself requires knowledge and at least minimal experience in working in the market.
Correct. Not all need some preparations but with it on your sleeves you'll surely have an edge over the others. Just because investing doesn't mean you need to be there at the moment it doesn't mean as well that you don't need education and knowledge, you need it the most or else it will just be a blind investment.
I think all investors and not some have got to go through some preparation before taking up an investment. Your preparation becomes one of the way you get an understanding of what your doing, why certain constraints play out the it did, why your getting certain results and fhe means by which you could maximise it. No preparation or analysing of what could be from what is might mean, you gambling your investment and that could lead to quick loses.
Most nature the desire to be rich quick and what better way to do that than in cryptocurrency many think but, most have as w3ll been disappointed each time. How would someone hope for a turn over in mere days or weeks. Its always a step at a time.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 04, 2023, 09:35:56 PM
Destroyed... a draw was in sight but failed because in 90+9 minutes Brighton was able to score a goal from Alexis Mac Allister's penalty, and that was a gift and extraordinary luck for Brighton.
completely unexpected and I'm still upset, and the penalty came because Luke Shaw's hand slightly touched the ball in his area of the penalty box. It shouldn't have happened, but VAR made it happen.  Angry
Thats why the VAR was installed in football, its main purpose is to make calls in a football that is beyond the main referrer to call and thats exactly what happened in this match although I would like to add that the match itself was way over the additional time added and  instead of the 5 additional time added the referee had to let the match play till a unlucky penalty was awarded against Manchester united and this call lead the home team to secure a victory.
Yeah. It was very unnecessary for Luke Shaw to come in between fair play in the way that he did. It was an obvious penalty without any rule of thought to it. The referee didn't have to spend so much time on the screen to come to that conclusion. Shaw surely shouldn't have done that but, he did put his ark right out in expectation of the ball and volleyed it away. The change of direction was immediate and with some good enough force too to send it out of the goalkeeper's box. Such a critical time to commit such an offense. There was no way back after then and MacAllister was sure to convert.
1486  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: FEC APPROVES THE USE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN NIGERIA on: May 04, 2023, 09:29:59 PM
The blockchain technology was first used to build Bitcoin and has since been adopted by many fields of life, as Charles has enumerated a few of them. The blockchain can also be used for voting systems (which Nigeria desperately needs) because it cannot be manipulated or altered. However, it is now widely used for smart contracts.
Just as Igebotz don talk and as the name carry am and as e evern translate literally, blockchain (block + chain) na technology way dey concerned with taking records in a systematic order way be say, dem just join body dey go. E dey take records in a way e go be say, to change am dey impossible or to manipulate am in some kind way no go fit happen.
So, e no really dey focused on cryptocurrency shah except say, we as people, we dey more likely to associate some kind innovation based on the technology way bring them come. Like, when person hear cryptocurrency, one of the first thing way go enter en mind na bitcoin. Na so e still be with blockchain.

Where e good say something dey na em be say, we nation don dey wake up to the arising for the world around us and with that, them go come to know plenty.

Omo, OP really do well to come up with this one. I don dey think this matter since but, my means way I gor use combat am, 3 no for really soft for people way go dey for the front. Na time just dey kill man but at least, the concern way I see from OP on this matter really dey encouraging and welcoming for a change. 1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 04, 2023, 08:37:41 PM
From what I see here it looks like we are heading to a goalless draw which will be another draw like the one in the FA cup where Manchester United qualified further only by penalty shootouts and the same game play style from what I see is happening.I
It's been a thrilling match between these two and it's really surprising with all the opportunity to have presented themselves for both teams in this game, non of them have been able to find the back of the net. Mitoma for Brighton have got what could be said to be the best chance in the game and he sent it straight to David De Geas head. He @Mitoma had yet another one though, he didn't have that clear view of the post and sent it wide.
Manchester United have had some good chances as well with Anthony, Martial and even M. Rashford but still no goals. The game remains goalless and could end as such from the play I've seen so far.

Looking for investment method for 50$ daily

Is there online investment that return 50$ daily
Perhaps you could go and buy twitter from Elon Musk or Facebook, WhatsApp from Mark Zuckerberg or the metaverse itself. Having shares on them won't be a bad idea and it all depends on if you've got just some good enough cash to get them deal you some shares.

Othe than that, you might as well look towards developing something of your own, maybe own a site, gambling site (casino/sportsbook) and the lots of them out there.

Meanwhile, you have to be mindful of how you go about searching out these opportunities, there are a lot of others wanting what you've got and won't give anything back. Watch yourself!
1490  Economy / Economics / Re: How will Fed bailing out banks increase inflation? on: May 03, 2023, 10:04:37 PM
It's obviously there business. The fiat currency is there product and the banks helps them to act as its custodians but, the feds are very much in the business of its management so, bailing out its custodians to ensure there is trust between the banking system and its customers is definitely what the feds would like to keep going.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, it is a manipulation in the scale of things which would in most cases have a negative effect and that is inflation. Your actually pumping more money into the system and that has got to effect price by some means. Price becomes unstable to accommodate and suck up the excess cash in circulation until it stabilises. It's there business and they've been working it goo.
1491  Economy / Economics / Re: 2023: What money lessons have you learned so far? on: May 03, 2023, 09:53:43 PM
Some of the crucial money lessons I learned in the past few months both from personal experience and from watching other people
Some of the most crucial lesson I've come yo realise over time as concerns money is that,

1. Money plummets where you invest it.
This goes for every currency there is, even cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, although bitcoin comes with some twist and that's thanks to volatility but, money invested births more money. People have the idea of saving money in the banks of which, these banks reinvet your money to get interest in them because they understand the idea behind investment and money. Bitcoin comes with fhe twist as it is in itself an investment which makes hodling profitable but not so much with fiat.

2. Fiat currency in particular is a product of the government.
These are government authorised and so its validity is dependent on what the government decides, its values yoo and they can manipulate it as they please, bringing about inflation or otherwise. Hence, you can create or avoid certain situations depending on how you choose to manage money.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 03, 2023, 10:20:00 AM
With the remaining matches at this time, it is clear that this cannot be said to be safe because if one of the teams who are in the relegation zone gets up and wins 4 consecutive matches and Chelsea still continues to accept defeat, that is clearly not a good thing.
Even though the possibility is small, it is still possible that something like this could happen and now Chelsea should realize that they are no longer safe.
Wow! It's shocking to even imagine this for a team like Chelsea even with the quality of players in there ranks but, you aren't wrong either ways. There obviously is no Chelsea under a Frank Lampard management and from all indication, the team continues to be depleted still. Chelsea don't look like a team that can win any game as it is. But, this is the same team that removed Dortmund from the UCL and here they are after been humiliated by Real Madrid, they've come to be a team that can't even hold up a match.

Arsenal did make the most of there last night win but, it would be a little too late for retribution as, Manchester City has got there eyes on the trophy and even with there focus on the priced UCL trophy, it would be almost a miracle for Manchester City to relinquish there advantage back to Arsenal.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 03, 2023, 08:37:26 AM
I was almost certain that Real Madrid would not win this match. But my guess was that the match would be a draw. Real Sociedad is not a weak team. A strong enough team. Vinicius, Benzema and Luka Modrich were absent in this match. The three most important players in the squad. And without these three players, I can't call Madrid a strong team. But I would have been happy if the match was a draw. Madrid should have played a purely defensive strategy and tried to draw the match goalless.
Yeah, right from the first half. I was much more surprised when I saw the odds bookmakers had set for the game, Real Madrid at 4minutes in had 2.24 odds, this is Real Madrid, second on the table and champions in the UCL.  But, when you see how much the team was diluted, the absence of Benzema, Luka Modric, Vini Jnr and even Camavinga, there is no one there to push forward. We had Rodrigo, Asensio and T. Kroos to try but, they weren't going to get no where. Worst still, Dani Carvajai got ha first yellow in a controversial situation and then a second in an obvious fowl to produce the red. After that, there was nothing Real Madrid could offer. They just end up being gorged to make mistakes and they did with Real Sociedad scoring needed goals.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 02, 2023, 10:23:45 PM
Winning against a mediocre Chelsea team proves nothing; Chelsea are the easier team to beat this season, having lost all five games under Lampard. Arsenal has been poor in the second half of their games for the last four games, going up in the first half and conceding more in the second half, and nothing seems to have changed. They played a lot better in the first half tonight and showed less pressing in the second half, allowing Chelsea to score, showing how poor the defense has been for the last four games, no compacity, no clean sheet.
Your definitely saying something that i find very reasonable. I mean, after the scoreline in the first half, I naturally expected Arsenal to add to there goals but they didn't. Instead, Chelsea managed to score a consolation goal which doesn't mean much or have any significant impact with the team. Chelsea remains a struggling team still and even more struggling is there interim manager in Frank Lampard. The teams lack of confidence weighs in on all the players.
Diego Silva was definitely in the game today and what a fantastic save he made right on the touchline of goal, having a few lap of the ball before shooting it over. Enzo as well was another good player with series of cut in, passes and long range efforts.
Arsenal still was the better team and they did seek therr retribution with Chelsea.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 01, 2023, 11:15:38 PM
A politician in the Philippines claimed to have had a hand in the development of the very controversial e-sabong platform he operated e-sabong so he can make a lot of money so he can use for the campaign, and his family to win local elections because the election in the Philippines is very costly many candidates are buying votes to secure their win, there were reports that he murdered their family's opponent because of e-sabong.
Do you think that government should have a rule or a law for election candidates not to have a franchise in any form of gambling, in fact, there are a lot of politicians who are operators of illegal small-town lotteries this is to accumulate funds they can use for election campaigns.
I don't see anything wrong with people in politics or occupying public offices not having the  investment opportunities as the rest of the citizens. So long as they wouldn't be doing this with public funds and they stick to fair plus in offering gambling services.

For what is worth, this would be one means by which, politicians can abstain from corrupt practices as, there exercises would be accounted for by there investment. Also, there wouldnt be exvluded from payment of taxes and add a little to the treasury and would create jobs for some members of the bublic.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 01, 2023, 10:51:28 PM
Everton and Leicester City performance this season is poor,  I never thought this teams will be settling down relegation zone. This game will be so interesting having this team trying their best to to move out from lecim.  Winning of this game is always unpredictable to tell which of the team will be the winner.
"This game will be so interesting" "winning of this game is always unpredictable to tell which teamwill be the winner" These are you statements at about 9:30pm forum time which is an hour behind, discussing a finished game in the present. At this time, the game is over and not in play.
Are you sure you even watched the match or your just jumping on it based on the comments you've seen on here? Becuase, I don't think you did.

Anyways, evening the scores does help for both sides and it was a moment of redemption for Alex Iwobi most especially as, he was the one who dropped the intercepted pass that lead to Everton conceiving a second goal. Good to have come by that equaliser and they had a point to show for there efforts.
1497  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: May 01, 2023, 10:12:41 PM
I wonder if higher education will help for entrepreneurship?
I am more interested in how much theory will help in this, because during a long study we do not get practice, this will be possible only when we start doing business, until that moment we will not be able to know how much it will help us.

This can help us if we need a license, but in some cases it can be obtained without a higher education.

Statistically, 95% of entrepreneurs have a bachelor's degree or higher and I wonder, for those of you who are involved in entrepreneurship, how useful was higher education for you?
Entrepreneurship or being an entrepreneur doesn't necessarily need education or you to be educated but, you can't be very successful in the line without incorporating some education or hiring the services of educated individuals. To successfully run a business, there are statistics you could look at to tell if your at a decline or not in your business, it doesn't really rely on the fact that your making profit to say business is all good with you. There are statistics that looks to point out moments when you make the most sales, strategies that accounted for that, if there is a timing to it and other explanations as to why the business follows certain patterns. These are what education can actually do for you in business.
1498  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: May 01, 2023, 06:28:37 PM
Is it possible to have a bull run for the next couple of years? I mean more people and companies start using bitcoin often and knowing there's a limited supply of it, the demand for the crypto will go up eventually. Do you think it's possible considering inflation and our global economy today? I know its a very volatile asset but what do you think?
I am not sure I understand what your trying to say in its entire but, I've got one or two thoughts on my mind after reading through all that you've stated thus far in OP and would like some clarification if am wrong but my take is as follows;

1. A continuous pump for Bitcoin:
This can't be and for worth is worth, it wouldn't be very healthy for the currency. By all means Bitcoin can't be compared with alts but if you take a look at what happens with alts after a long period of pump, people tak3 profit and its dumps never to rise again. This would be the bane of a continuous pump as we would have people coming in solely gor the profit, to take profit agte4 a while and leave. This would leave some other users disappointing and would reflect badly on bitcoin.

2. Bitcoin use case for businesses and organisations;
At the time it would extremely difficult to have a firm own majority of its asset to bitcoin. This is because, there atr still a vague range of disbelief in the currency and as its not backed up by the government. Also, the issue of volatility like you've rightly stated, it's a problem that would be sorted with time.
1499  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide for getting + Merit on: April 30, 2023, 11:13:18 PM
4. Be original and unique.
Do not repeat what has already been said. if necessary, add a link to the source in your post.
No need to put ( if ). It's always necessary to add the link of the source in the posts or else it will be called plagiarism as we all know. By the way this is what I like the most being original and unique in terms of posting. When posting it is important to check your post before posting if there's any mistyped words or mistakes, why? Users might find it hard to understand your point or topic you made.
I think it’s not that necessary to add link…as many don’t even care of it but still get merit points..
So it was necessary to have  “if” in the article the guy wrote
I was perplexed to have seen the subject of the thread but, when I looked as to how long ago the thread was created and even the last comment on the thread before yours @musa_scorpion which dates back to 2018, i wonder why you had to whip those dead horse of over 5years just to point out a well established fact though.
You didn't break any rules though but, I felt you must have been warned to be posting in a thread that haven't been posted in for a long time and to spell out the word "if" must have been pretty important to beat this dead horse. Okay!
1500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would the Bitcointalk Forum be like without Signature Campaigns? on: April 30, 2023, 10:45:00 PM
Well, the forum would be a little less from a ghost town. I have no doubt in my mind that we would have some very active users here still. There are those of us whom have built our lives around here for it's resourcefulness and that is something that can't be taken away from the forum.

Beside signature campaigns, there are other ways to incentives work on the forum an that is from offering needed services. We would have people sourcing out the technical aspects to the forum like working as developers and something of note, Hhampuz and his series of art contest has turned some people to artists on the forum. Users would find a way to stay but, there would be less bullshit from shitposters and spammers for real.
