Bitcoin is not an antidote to money corruption, in this area it failed, in the past many embezzled money with Bitcoin and some use Bitcoin to purchase evil items on dark web but the truth is their purchases are traceable unless there is no reason to investigate.

There are many things happening and Bitcoin is not to be blamed, bad people will always be bad people, even if a new innovative idea is born today people will use it to do evil things.

Bitcoin is fully decentralized and doing so it gives power back to the people, we don't want the government or centralised power to always triumph over us and Bitcoin is the only solution because the centralized power can't control it.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I'm planning on hosting a BTC seminar and a friend also followed my path on: January 13, 2023, 06:58:37 AM
A friend of mine who is also a fashion designer like me has start accepting bitcoin payment yesterday, she is one of the very few that I thought about Bitcoin in 2021and she is also an investor in BTC and few other coins and after paying me a visit and saw that I have started accepting Bitcoin payment she decide to take the same route..

She did very well because she added her wallet QR code which I scanned myself and I work, way better than mine but yeah I've decided to upgrade mine this weekend.

Some people are even showing more interest in Bitcoin in my City, I am thinking of hosting a seminar about Bitcoin but I want to make sure I invite the right people, have anyone hosted a BTC seminar before? Any good advice on this?
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 12, 2023, 10:09:09 AM
I found out that the real OpenAI has nothing to do with OpenAI ERC token, in fact it's a scam project trying to take advantage of AI success this year, the LOGO is the same, this was why I fell for the shit token.
When alternative currency projects were created, they were intended to support developers and early investors by providing them with free profits, but projects such as OpenAI are profitable and do not need such support, and therefore all the symbols associated with them are fraudulent and will be deleted from all central platforms (due to scam and plagiarism) and therefore it is better to Avoid investing in it.

I hope you learned from this lesson and I am sorry for your loss.
I was unable to sell the tokens after purchasing but today I use 1inch to sell it, I don't know why uniswap won't let me sell even at a higher slippage but luckily I was able to sell on 1inch, phew! I got my money back and I am relief at last..

I asked the team in telegram channel they avoid my question and remove the questions.. Many people on there still have no clue about what's going on.
1484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to Think The Bottom May Be Close? on: January 11, 2023, 08:07:39 AM
It's too much of a headache to even think about if the market already bottomed or not, instead of doing this I will keep buying when I have some money since we are still in a bear market anyway, if BTC dips to 10k it is going to another great opportunity to buy.

I have a portfolio I built when BTC was 17,000$ in June 2020 and I have another portfolio I built when 15,000$ per BTC happened, it won't hurt to build another if 10,000$ per BTC happens.
1485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think it's wrong on: January 11, 2023, 06:45:26 AM
The Pandemic brings a new ATL for those who haven't DCA already and they are able to buy for even cheaper rates, it was a very rare opportunity and I don't believe that such will happen this time, the great reset have happened when FTX fucked everything up..

Do you know how many billions worth of companies went down because of Sam? Many people are waiting for another 2020 buying opportunity once again but they will be disappointed.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Example of Not your Keys Not your coins on: January 10, 2023, 09:18:50 PM
Terms and conditions can be upgraded at any time without informing users, and when things go wrong they will easily blame it on users for not going through the terms and conditions in the first place.

I was a victim of this act by a crypto exchange before, I thought something was wrong with my eye but later I noticed they change their rules themselves. Anything centralized in crypto right now is a big red flag for me, I can't say for others.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 10, 2023, 04:28:57 PM
I made 10x from VIOT, a artificial intelligence project that I invested in some weeks back and I am excited about what's coming but today I made a terrible mistake, if you are on point with latest crypto news you must have heard that Microsoft is going after ChatGPT and OpenAI with up to 10 billion dollars ..

There is a AI project on coinmarketcap named OpenAI ERC token, I thought this token has something to do with OpenAI but I went ahead and bought some, later I started becoming curious and decide to do more digging.

I found out that the real OpenAI has nothing to do with OpenAI ERC token, in fact it's a scam project trying to take advantage of AI success this year, the LOGO is the same, this was why I fell for the shit token.

The real OpenAI link is https://openai.com/
The fake OpenAI ERC link is https://www.openaierc.com/

Be careful out there famz, these scammers are not playing

1488  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers use too much brain on: January 10, 2023, 08:48:33 AM
My best advice is do not visit any link through Youtube, some are not really legit links and a Youtube account might be hacked to lure people, I have visited Youtube most times only to detect that the Youtube video is tampered by hackers, there are more than one version of the video but the difference is original links swapped with fake links.

If you have some doubts just search for how to stake dodo or other token like pancake 🥞 swap you will see multiple videos with the same person in each video. Especially this face

1489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom of the Bear Market...let's accumulate!! on: January 10, 2023, 07:54:40 AM
There is a chance that something bad could happen again, do not be so sure of your point OP, but we should be fine if we don't go all in, who would have thought that Covid 19 will make crypto create a new all time low in 2020? I am not saying the something will happen again but anything is possible.

I will keep using dollar cost average strategy till 2024, I advice everyone to do the same.
1490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges lie to you! on: January 10, 2023, 06:35:10 AM
Who would have thought large companies lie to get your money!
Lies is the foundation of many companies in crypto and outside of crypto space, they just have to lie to maintain their growth, it's left for consumers or users to wise up, imagine someone who is new to crypto reading online that coinbase is the safest place to store your crypto, why won't they believe?

I was a victim of coinbase in 2017 and also other centralised platforms but I end up learning the hard way, I lost money and made the money back, no one to teach me about crypto but myself, but here I am today, I finally know the difference.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people store their cryptocurrency on exchanges? on: January 09, 2023, 06:11:28 PM
Some crypto exchanges have good staking rewards compared to direct staking from the project's platform, also people intentionally keep their assets on crypto exchanges for trading and a few other businesses like peer2peer business, that's why some people became a victim of fund losses when an exchange gets hacked.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My MetaMask account is gone !! on: January 09, 2023, 02:35:28 PM
You have to create another password or use the old password if you are trying to import your recovery seed, this is normal for the metamask wallet and it doesn't mean that something is wrong.

Not until you import your recovery seed and see that the wallet is empty that's when you can start raising alarms and if you created multiple addresses you need to keep clicking on create account to get access back to the addresses again.
1493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: January 09, 2023, 09:59:34 AM
We are still in a bear market and we still don't know if the remaining top altcoins will keep their position, Solana and FTT are out I believe but that doesn't mean you can't make profits off them but I can bet that new altcoins will take over top 20 incoming bull market, it always happens in every bull market.

For me I prefer looking for the new gems that can take over top 10 to top 20 in the future, crypto is not perfect yet and something better will always come up to take the lead over the old projects.
1494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie it is better you take custody of your coins on: January 09, 2023, 08:09:34 AM
Wallets can be built from companies that build and provide wallet softwares only but they can come from exchanges too.

Nowadays you can see exchanges have many products to expand their ecosystems. Centralized exchanges have their decentralized exchanges and their wallets too.

For me I don't believe that any cryptocurrency wallet or decentralized exchange that is owned by a centralized exchange is non custodial wallet and really decentralized exchange. It's very logic to think so and you can agree or disagree with me but it is a good alarm for people who trust in open source, non custodial wallet and decentralized exchange launched by a centralized exchange.
Anyone can build wallets. A company or a person builds a wallet, but if it is decentralized, it can not be controlled by authority. The developer who builds that no custodial wallet does not have control over any users so I don't think there should be any problem at all.
A crypto wallet that's based on decentralised alone is not confusing enough, I will never keep my coins on such crypto wallet, open source is the real reasons why crypto OGs use and trust a crypto wallet, don't get it confused.

Also it doesn't make sense for a centralized company or platform to build a decentralised tool and wallets, I will not trust them at all, if you want to be centralized then build everything based centralization, don't jump about.
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 09, 2023, 06:24:31 AM
It will be easier to sell one of the two bikes and keep one, I don't advise selling the two if you don't have a means of transportation, unless you have other good options, a better life is a wealthy life.
I suggest you re-read what he wrote, he has 2 motorbikes, and he wants to sell a motorbike that he does not use in order to invest in bitcoins. For me, I would fully support him, and if he is able to hold on to bitcoin until the next bull season comes, then he can buy back some of those bike and not just one.

I know that motorbikes and cars value depreciate as time goes by but we have a reason of buying them in the first place, I have a car and I won't dare sell for Bitcoin because I got the car to transport my kids down to school every morning and also for other reasons, it's been very helpful so far.

The choice is yours.

No one is offering advice on the sale of assets that are being used for investment purposes, what we are talking about here is the sale of assets that are unused for investment.
Yeah I read it right, such circumstances is not new to me where people get too greedy and sold everything, even things that are very useful to them and they regret, I am just warning him or her not to get too greedy and sell off the bikes instead of keeping one like he planned to.

I talked to someone about Bitcoin in 2018, he is the first I was able to teach about crypto and his first mistake was selling the two cars he owned, he said he will sell one and yes he did, later he sold the other without telling me, yes he got BTC but he held and got tired of holding, in 2020 he sold half of his BTC to buy back a car and late 2020 was when the market recovered.
1496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can trustwallet be hacked. can the owners take money of all the users? on: January 08, 2023, 04:59:13 PM
I have not seen anyone complaining about lose of funds using Trust wallet though I believe they are not fully open source like many think, instead the max amount of money or assets I keep on Trust wallet is limited, I still believe that Trust wallet is far safer than many crypto mobile wallets out there.

Trust wallet being closed source doesn't mean it's bad, it works better and it's been years since I installed on my smartphone.

1498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making post for merit on: January 08, 2023, 08:51:56 AM
I don't get it, let's please stop pretending as if merit is not important, a few high-rank members have contacted me to send them merits before and they will do the same and I ignore the message, as for those saying they can see the desperation in posts that needs merits what difference does that makes?

Smerits are meant to be sent to others whether you like it or not, there are posts that are not up standard that still get merited anyways and there are some that are good but never get merited.

Smerits owners holds the key, merit a shitposter or quality poster the choice is yours.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can offline wallets ever be hacked? on: January 08, 2023, 06:27:40 AM
How can offline wallet get compromised? This is confusing, unless this person backup the phrase on his computer or writes down the phrase where people can easily see, could also be an inside job maybe someone very close, this is the first time of hearing someone lose assets stored on an offline wallet.
1500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 08, 2023, 05:13:31 AM
Almost everyone gave up in 2020 when Bitcoin went below 4000$, that's after the beginning of bear market of 2018 and 2019, I believe we haven't seen the end pain where everybody will be pissed and angry with crypto market behaviour, I believe that time is coming again so we should be prepared mentally and physically.
