1481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am stopping for legal reasons. Is it really worth the trouble? on: February 07, 2023, 02:40:55 PM
If crypto is prohibited in my country it still won't stop me from receiving Bitcoin as a standard form of payment because I have never seen where the police or forces are looking for those that are accepting BTC as payment.

The worst that could transpire is you transacting in BTC online and sending crypto money into your bank account.

Well, not all countries are the same, and since OP is from Bangladesh things might be different over there, so I won't advise you to break the law, also if you have some enemies or haters around you they can report you to the force or police.

Who knows? Your government might already be on the lookout for scapegoats, pls do not be one.

Trading is not for newbies, you will lose all your money fast and those dreams of yours will turn to dust right in front of you, stay away from trading, I am damn serious, focus on learning how to trade and depending on how smart your brain is, you might get used to it fast, when you are finally ready you should start using a trial account, very good for learners.
1484  Economy / Economics / Re: The journey of Bitcoin. on: February 04, 2023, 05:12:57 PM
I created a topic about this too, whether people around us like or hate bitcoin we still need to create the awareness, this is why I have bitcoin payment advert in my store, I do not expect people to start paying me in bitcoin, it's a part but I did this to also get people inquisitive about what bitcoin is all about, OP keep doing what you do best, but I need to ask, do you know much about bitcoin because your account is still new, someone of your rank should still be learning more about bitcoin, I may be wrong.
1485  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining on the cloud on: February 04, 2023, 04:05:56 PM
Have you seen any website that promised to give return if you can deposit an amount to cloud mine Bitcoin?  Grin do not fall victim as such websites are operated by scammers, there is no way to mine Bitcoin using cloud mining, if you want to mine bitcoin you have to buy a asic miner with the sha256 algorithm, these miners are pretty cheap this days, there is no real cloud mining out there.

1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoiners are not friendly physical? on: February 04, 2023, 03:19:40 PM
I have two cousins that are crypto investors and we can talk all day about Bitcoin and the whole market, the truth is it's easier this way for me because my cousins are my family, unlike strangers that are not even friends, it will be very hard. In some countries it's better to keep shut about what you are into because words travels faster than legs, you can be in an unfortunate situation just because people know you are into Bitcoin, this is why many don't want to talk about Bitcoin.
1488  Economy / Economics / Re: SOFT LANDING LIE on: February 04, 2023, 11:24:44 AM
I don't believe in both sides but most times I always get a better result by not following the hoards, when it's seem like the world is saying same thing, the opposite always happens. I can't lose my head again, not me, so I prepared for both sides, whatever happens will favour me.

I prepare for a major unexpected pullback and also a big recovery, I was here at 17k and still took advantage of 15k, so far there is no regret in my world because my crypto portfolio is smiling back at me for taking action.

Still, I have put aside stable coins enough to take advantage of maybe a possible pullback.
1489  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fortunate story of a crypto mentor on: February 04, 2023, 10:37:51 AM
How can someone lost 96k? Did the bought all his coin at ATH? Because that is the only way this story can make sense, I have invested in this bear market and the lowest I saw my wallet goes was just 30% off, in his case that's 96% off, I am curious to know what went wrong, maybe he invested in altcoins that goes deeper like 90% down? No man could have survived that loss without zero worries, it is impossible.
1490  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think will happen if... on: February 03, 2023, 01:50:29 PM
Nothing will happen, because bitcoin never raised any funds in the beginning to promote the project, it was backed and supported by the community and institutional investors where never there from the beginning, they don't believe in what Bitcoin is all about, I think altcoins will be affected without the help of this so called institutional investors but not Bitcoin.
1491  Economy / Economics / Re: I have resolved into buying more and caring less on: February 03, 2023, 11:26:36 AM
Well, if your aim is profit, your method will be less profitable and riskier than someone who buys & sell at the right time. Combine that with the ability to properly predict the market and move it to any direction you want, profit will be unbelievably high. I will choose the method that gives me better profit with risk that is next to nothing.
Your method not sustainable by the way
You can't ever predict the market right, it's how many lose millions trading futures, once they get the market right they start believing that they can predict the market next move, in crypto space there is no way of making good profits with risk that's next to no risk at all unless I don't understand you.

In a bear market you have to buy and buy the best coins and sell when we are in a bull market, I have never heard anyone creating a crypto portfolio with over eight projects and fail, because even if one succeeds you will cover all your investment.
1492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the way out when an hardware wallet is compromised? on: February 03, 2023, 10:04:26 AM
If it's defective you are to return to the official company, I am sure they will replace it for you and if it's compromised then it's the users own stupidity, hardware wallet are very secured than any other, scammers will need the physical wallet to trigger a transaction, so it's rare to get your hardware wallet compromised. Even if it's does there is no other route to anything, being compromised means the user did something very stupid.
1493  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do you keep your Asic secured when using a pool on: February 03, 2023, 08:40:43 AM
So it is always smarter to reflash your used Asic miners when you buy them? 🤔🤔🤔🤔, wow I don't know this, I got two Asic miners used from China and I don't see or notice any strange things happening, I connected to Nicehash pool and get paid as per what the calculator showed, I will be more careful next time.

If one just updates the Firmware to the latest I believe this means the older user is not using any unknown or separate Firmware.
1494  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallet users, have you ever? on: February 03, 2023, 06:44:36 AM
1. Yes it's possible. Most of them do.
2. Yes, there are plenty of wallets that allow you to edit your fees. To mention a few: Electrum, Exodus, etc. Which wallet have you been using?
3. Correct. A lot of wallets allow you to choose "High, medium, and low" fees. You can go with that or If you want to fully customize the fees on your own, you should probably look into mempool.space so you don't end up overpaying.

Thanks for your answers
1. I will like to know how to generate a bitcoin wallet offline without using a paper wallet generator.
2. I am using Trust wallet and whatever transaction fee been asked of me when sending bitcoin is what I have to go with, though it's not very high but it feels suck not to edit yourself.
3. Thanks, I asked because someone send me Bitcoin and I have to wait for like 15 hours before it finally gets approved in my wallet, I guess he used very low gas fee.
1495  Bitcoin / Mining / How do you keep your Asic secured when using a pool on: February 02, 2023, 09:04:26 PM
Guys can you please teach me how to protect my Asic when connected to a pool? What are the "do not" when mining on a pool? Or what the safest connection to a pool from an ASIC miner? I have read about Asic miners getting hijacked by hackers to mine for themselves, precaution is better than cure.
1496  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - take profits or continue to DCA? on: February 02, 2023, 07:00:28 PM
We are still in a bear market but it's invariably good to take profits, there is no point asking this question because both DCA and taking profits are reasonable so only you will know what's best for you, as for me I don't need to take any profit because this could be the inception of the market sideways movement till the next bull market, there is no affirmation that we will see a new bottom again so I prefer to keep the DCA method alive, I believe in long term holding than taking profits right now, if your reason of investing money on Bitcoin was a short term plan then taking profits is not bad.
1497  Other / Beginners & Help / Can Clipboard malware affects phone users? on: February 02, 2023, 06:05:00 PM
There are a few posts about clipboard malware that changes users addresses whenever they want to carry out new transactions and I have only seen this happened to a friend's laptop but not a smartphone, is it possible for this clipboard malware to affect a smartphone and swap your address to a fake address?
1498  Economy / Speculation / Is the black swan event not to be expected anymore? on: February 02, 2023, 05:15:38 PM
Why is no one talking about the black swan event? Or are you saying we aren't going to see that again? Is there a chance that things won't always be the same with crypto? Is the FTX crash the only pain part we will see in this bear market? If the pandemic of 2020 never happened we won't have seen a buying opportunity of 3500$ for 1 Bitcoin. What do you guys have to say about this? Are we going to keep side ways until 2024 BTC halving now?
1499  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Bitcoin wallet users, have you ever? on: February 02, 2023, 04:56:50 PM
I have few questions about Bitcoin and some parts of other bitcoin wallet I may not know of, since I have been using Bitcoin wallet I have never choose to set gas fee myself, like how you do with Metamask when sending Ethereum tokens so.

1. Is there any way to generate bitcoin address offline without the help of the internet ?

2. Since Bitcoin launched is there any wallet that supports auto editing the gas fee of Bitcoin straight from your android or IOS machine?

3. Does high gas fee means faster-sending speed on bitcoin wallet?
1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Up to what discount are you giving up for your customers? on: February 02, 2023, 03:49:38 PM
If you are into a local business and accepting bitcoin for payment how much discount are you giving up for your buyers? 1%? 2%? How much discount do you think is ok for your business and won't affect you? Right now I am sure that many people are accepting bitcoin in their business as there are many posts about this, I also read that discount is an effective way to make people want to pay with Bitcoin.
