1481  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 08, 2023, 04:38:12 AM
If I were to gamble at a casino like this, I would feel like I had been cheated. If mandatory KYC is implemented, the registration form should include a checklist or notes outlining the terms and conditions of agreeing to KYC. It seems like the casino is only interested in taking deposits and doesn't care about their customers receiving their winnings.
Well, this type of behavior is not new, it's something that is very common with a lot of casinos and even most crypto currency exchange.
Even till today, trust me, there are a lot of casinos out there right now where a gambler can easily without kyc verification deposit a hundred thousand dollars, but for some time, and luckily win extra one hundred thousand dollars and ask or request a withdrawal of your entire balance on your account, you will instantly be blocked and asked to go through a kyc verification process, and get verified before your withdrawal request can be processed.

This is something a lot of casinos do and it's clearly a cheat, what if at that point, the gambler doest have the requested documents for the kyc verification, does it mean the casino will seize his or her money for ever?, I call this daylight robbery.

Quote
Lolz. This has been a discussion for some times now. The KYC issue is a discussion of time without season. We don't know when this KYC matter will end and the only thing that can end this matter is the faithfulness of the casinos on their dealing with the gamblers. For the cryptocurrency exchange platforms, their KYC is always asked at the sign up process and not at the time of depositing or withdrawing so I like centralized exchange platforms more than casino that ask KYC at the withdrawal time.
Well the major reason for even this whole KYC requirements from casino and exchange too is actually because of the constant pressure the government actually put these companies because without KYC, it's just like running a business that allows fraudster to do money laundering and this I think it's the excuse that most firm says about their reason for KYC verification. And I think if you take a close check you will understand that there is actually some points to the requirements.
1482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hal Finney: each coin a value of about $10 million prophecy on: October 08, 2023, 04:32:59 AM
The data differed greatly from 2009, and I believe that the current financial situation is completely different from what was in the past. It was the year that preceded the global financial crisis, and many do not know the direction of the future or expect that this crisis will end quickly.
The price of 10 million is extremely exaggerated and unrealistic. The best we can get is one million after 30 to 50 years.
I aslo think so about the actual 10 million hype because there is a very rare and minimal chance that Bitcoin can actually shoot up to that certain amount in the given year space and I think even the 1 million you are speculating in that given time frame is still something to look on because 1 million dollars isn't 100k or even 500k. But that's the beauty of the whole Bitcoin market as no one is ever sure, it's just a matter of mere speculation and guess.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 08, 2023, 04:22:35 AM
Only those who have experience and good knowledge about Bitcoin can get rich in Bitcoin investment.  The best advice for those who want to invest in Bitcoin is to get a good knowledge of Bitcoin before investing.  If you invest without knowledge you will face potential risks. You will regret when you lose bitcoins.  I think holding Bitcoin would definitely be a great one.  There should be no distinction between knowledge and holding because without knowledge you cannot do holding.  Of course you need knowledge for holding.
Are you sure about this? There are some technical guys that once had good stash of Bitcoin yet sold everything and cannot boast of 1BTC today. Whereas there are people holding large chunk of Bitcoin yet do not understand one single line of code behin Bitcoin. Having money and knowing how to grow and preserve it are two different things.

The world knowledge is truly relative in this case. While some people aspire to know everything about Bitcoin, there are those who are too busy with other things that they require just little knowledge of Bitcoin and they are in.  Technical knowledge is not really for everyone even though it is good.
That's true, mate. Technical knowledge about Bitcoin is something I am aspiring to learning because I know it will indeed improve my knowledge and knowing about Bitcoin more, plus the fact that says no knowledge is practically a waste and I know this everytime I stay and learn here in the forum. To successfully manage your riches is what makes a man stand out from the general public out there and, like you said, about people that  were having lots of BTC who have sold off, well it's not a new thing and I think even if they, have lots of, technically knowledge, it's a matter of choice because I think I know some people who don't actually have Bitcoin for the purpose of holding it and I they are tech guru when it comes to the technical aspects but they just prefer using their Bitcoin as a normal everyday currency while its opposite for some people especially for those who see Bitcoin as means of having little earning after holding for some times and these kinds just know one thing which is to hold and buy and they actually achieved this just fine by knowing the simple basics that is involved in Bitcoin and also in same category are the ones who actually have the plans but end up not fulfilling it because of poor strategy and management of funds even if they are tech wizard of Bitcoin.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Accumulate Bitcoin More Effectively In Any Market Zone on: October 07, 2023, 10:48:59 PM

Also, anyone who invest in BTC as a passive income is sure to have another job that pays the bills and afford some necessities, otherwise as a single source of income, it might be difficult to save up or DCA when the market starts having its volatile moments.

That's true because you, having, only one means of income and wanting to save and buy Bitcoin from that same income will and can make you frustrated because it's from that same place and money that you will use to cater for the needs of your daily life.
An investment in Bitcoin is very good and lucrative but if it isn't well planed it will well lead to economic frustration and confusion because you actually can't save money and will not be willing to touch or use it when you are in need to handle the issue.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 10:30:49 PM
At first I thought Chelsea were going to let their fans down today when they conceded an early goal in the 1st half but later in the match their game play changed and they were beginning to perform very well and communicate with each other well, their first goal was very interesting, what a cross from sterling that lead to an own goal by  Burnley defender Al-Dakhil, I think sterling's perform today was fantastic and he contributed alot to his teams success in today's match.
Chelsea win the last 3 games, finally things are going well. At FC Burnley Raheem Sterling was the best player and 4:1 is a great result. After half-time Chelsea was much better than in the first 45 minutes. An own goal and a penalty led to 2 goals, but also two more beautiful goals and one of them from Sterling. If you look at the statistics and that there were only 9 shots on goal and 4 goals, very nice.

Chelsea really surprised me today because after going one goal down to Burnley, I really thought  they are going to end up losing the game but  they shocked in their second half performance because the cooperation from the squad really got convinced that Chelsea is actually on their healing stage, these last three wins have really gotten the Chelsea manager the break that he really deserved because the whole scenerio with Chelsea must have really put the manager in a tight corner.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 02:09:41 PM
It appears that there will be more than 2.5 goals scored in today's Spurs match. And my prediction is that Son Heung-min will be one of the goal scorers for Spurs tonight. Let's keep an eye on it.
The match is already close to end, it's not possible Tottenham can score 2 more goals.

Luton town is a very bad team, Tottenham only play with 10 players and can score against them, while they're can't get any score by playing with 11 players. I think Luton Town is only win when the opponent team is a kindergarten kids or playing with 8 players.

Tottenham is enjoying beautiful days with coach Ange Postecoglou. From what seemed like a crisis over losing Harry Kane at the last minute, But now, with a 1-0 win over Luton. Tottenham temporarily tops the table. Despite playing with a few players, Tottenham still took the lead. Starting from a corner kick, James Maddison dribbled the ball into the opponent's penalty area and then pushed the ball inside from the end of the goal line. Van de Ven's close-range shot with his left foot beat the Luton goalkeeper.
Thus, Tottenham still maintains its unbeaten streak since the beginning of the Premier League.
It is indeed glory days for them and I don't know what to say about how they even manage to still squeeze out a victory in a game that seems to be hopeless after going one man down in first half but they still manage to come victorious and indeed they have done well because I never expected them to win the game. Tottenham are currently in the first position like you said although it's temporary but it's worth enjoying because they have really surprised eveeyone about this sudden form I just hope they can meet up with this same form.
1487  Economy / Gambling / Re: make some developments related gambling on: October 07, 2023, 12:40:14 PM
Just adopt everything that you see in Gambling. Things have evolved since then.

Regardless of the technology improvement, focus on becoming a disciplined and responsible gambler instead.

These innovations in gambling are all useless if in the end, you are still an irresponsible gambler that don't know what's the best approach in gambling.
Technology is increasing everyday so the same is happening in the crypto world. As a gambler, we are going to be seeing huge expansion in years coming in both games and strategies we can use to make bet and make winnings for ourselves. Gambling is becoming something of a competition that is why we kept seeing different casinos surfacing online. There are some games I'm beginning to see on casinos that were not there few years ago and that is due to advancement in technology. Artificial intelligence is becoming things more easier these days so we don't have to do vigorous work before we get things done.
Indeed the gambling industry is booming and that's why we have come to notice all these casino and also the new featured game is so alarming too. There are so many new games in casinos these days that I even get confused on the particular one to play. Sometimes i think of trying new games but the technicality of these games always make me lose so I just stick to the ones am familiar with but it wasn't until few weeks back that I uncovered another type of game in a particular casino that favoured me so well and this made me swap casino that I actually gamble because of the results I have been getting in this casino.
1488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 07, 2023, 12:11:28 PM
I would not like to say specifically any new or old investors should follow DCA. Anyone can apply the technique by recognizing these beneficial aspects. However, those who are not financially astute may consider investing in Bitcoin as an opportunity to grow their portfolio. It doesn't matter how much I invest. But the key is that I am investing small amounts regularly which will help to grow my portfolio. It also plays a role in reducing risk as it creates investment opportunities. It is not possible for an ordinary or small investor to invest large amounts at once. If those investors are willing to invest then DCA may further encourage them to invest for the long term and definitely It will be the best way to invest systematically.
With limited financial capabilities, it is difficult for small investors to invest a large amount in one purchase, hence DCA comes as a solution for investors to increase the size of their portfolio slowly but steadily. I think it's not only small investors who do this, but big investors also do the same thing, but maybe the difference is that the amount they put in is bigger than what a small investor puts in.
This is the easiest way and the best option, especially for me personally this is a very helpful way. Especially I do this for a very long term, slowly but surely with this strategy I increase the amount of my portfolio every week.

DCA is a very well known strategy in the bitcoin investment world and it's easily used because the amount of risk involved is very small and every investor who has a small or huge capital can actually do because it very easy to carry out the only problem will be if the investor doesn't know what he or she is doing then actually yeild good results from the DCA strategy will be a problem.

There are so many investors that have planned to invest through DCA but have failed to meet up either by not properly planning it or going out of their plan and I think this is only problem that is faced with the DCA strategy.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can happen next time due to a lack of proper knowledge about Bitcoin? on: October 07, 2023, 10:10:46 AM
Well, don't you think if the whole world is dominated by cryptocurrency or bitcoin, then some people will face a huge problem?
I have discovered some of the reasons for this. For example-

1. When virtual currency or crypto-currency reigns all over the world, the banking system will be miserable, and a group of people (who do not know about crypto-currency or bitcoin) will be unemployed all over the world, who till now were working at the convenience of various banks.

2: Unemployed people (due to a lack of knowledge of currency requirements or benefits) will not be able to handle this shock in the first place, due to which they will face various financial, lateral, physical, and mental problems, which is a big challenge for them.

3: Many developing or underdeveloped countries (especially those with low leverage) will consider cryptocurrency a curse rather than a blessing due to their lack of proper understanding of its importance.

4: I have seen among my acquaintances who still cannot fully trust the bank (banking is some kind of rigging or fraud) and therefore leave their valuable assets (gold or money) on their own instead of depositing them in the bank. For those who do not believe in banks, how exactly will they accept this currency system?

I might be wrong, and I don't know much about advanced technology, crypto, or bitcoin yet, so please don't take my questions negatively.
In fact, all these questions have been created from the thoughts that I have presented here.
I think you are only looking at the downside of the possibility that's can happen but I would like to remind you that fiat wasn't actually the first currency in use from the first period of time and still humans adapted to it and have since used it despite the disadvantages that it first pose during its adoption in the world.

Change is a constant thing in life and thats what no one can fight although am not sure of whether bitcoin can take over the world but if eventually it does then I think the impact of positivity will be more than disadvantages.
1490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: October 07, 2023, 05:55:41 AM
Yesterday there was bitcoin pumping and since the start of the week but I am not so excited for that like most people feel. I don't know what is leading the pump and so it will be prediction for where the price of bitcoin will end this year. I think the price pump can later drop for correction and the price become stable around $25,000 and $30,000.
Well these pumps are actually normal these days and am not freaked by it anymore because it's actually people that want to sell off their coins that would be excited over little change in the price of bitcoin as for me I think the year is still probably going to end up with bitcoin price being so down because I actually want to buy more not to sell off at every little pump so I would be speculating and wanting the price to be around of 25-26k
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: October 07, 2023, 05:50:17 AM
The only good thing here in El Salvador is that this is a living testimony about Bitcoin, because at first they did not think well of it; they were very negative about it before. El Salvador even declared a ban on Bitcoin, but they eventually reversed it.

Then, later, El Salvador declared again but not to ban Bitcoin, instead a declaration that they made Bitcoin legal tender in their country, and most of them are Bitcoin enthusiasts, and it seems that only a few are not yet aware of cryptocurrency.
This full acceptance of bitcoin by el Salvador is a proof indeed that bitcoin can actually be used as a legal tender and although it may have it's up and down but there is no currency in world today that hasn't got his flaws but atleast this is big step forward towards the full adoption of bitcoin in the world. Most other countries worldwide actually protest against the use of bitcoin in their countries because of its decentralised nature but the whole purpose of bitcoin was to give financial freedom which is what most government doesn't want for their citizens.
People of El Salvador protested against the adoption of bitcoin. Bitcoin protests in El Salvador against cryptocurrency as legal tender. We can't say El Salvador people were supporting bitcoin adoption without any second thought. The credit goes to President Nayib Bukele, because he is the one who took the decision and he was strong in execution. It is really difficult and he faced everything and slowly started to educate and create awareness among the people. Now people are well aware of it and realise the goodness of adoption. To make things better, bitcoin education is included into the school syllabus. Rest of the countries watch the progress of El Salvador, but none have the courage to take decision as President Nayib Bukele.
You know the reason why he was able to make such decision without looking back is because he was not greedy and after the selfish interest of the government only but also after the growth and progress of his citizens and that's the thing most government fail to posses. The moment most government start thinking like this then the better because they can actually have the will power to embark on such a project like actually making and stipulating the idea of bitcoin in the country.

1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 07, 2023, 05:23:18 AM
Who got this thread out of nowhere?  Grin

Well, if I suddenly die my wife would be more than able to manage funds sitting in different wallets.
Over the years she got very familiar with crypto, having a short unsuccessful hype in investing in NFTs and now getting paid for her side translation job in USDT.

So I am not worried if anything happens.

But for normal people maybe they should set up some kind of plan/info for the people that would inherit their assets since it might be too much to handle maybe.

That's cool for you but I think not everyone family is well opportune to be like this. Well as for me I think if I probably die now the only person that might even have any idea of my bitcoin holding would probably be my friend and cousins who are also bitcoin enthusiasts like myself but I think they would probably have no way accessing it because of my seed phrase and key to the wallet. So I think I will start something that will make my son to be a little bit interested in crypto affairs but don't want to bother him though as he is still enjoying his young age.
1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 07, 2023, 05:12:43 AM
Because of the lack of knowledge to invest in bitcoin make bitcoin not for everyone. Because before you invest, you must have the technical know how of the technology so that you will be galant in whatever comes or challenges. And that is why when people are saying that bitcoin is for everyone, I only believed that  those guys do not really understand bitcoin, and I don't want to say something on the other threads but what the op here had said made it clear that to invest in bitcoin you must have the "basic knowledge" and which is the most important part in bitcoin investment and those who has no knowledge on bitcoin can't involved themselves in this new technology. Even in the forum, those who are not good in bitcoin, writing and contributing to meaningful knowledge can't join it because they have nothing to offer. I am also on the school of thought that bitcoin is not for everyone because because bitcoin is limited to some group of people. Children, old age, and the blind are not meant to use bitcoin though someone can use it for them but it themselves. All those early users of bitcoin who sold it because of fear lack the knowledge of bitcoin and sold them off for the fear of losing.

This your thread too is also the category of those first experienced of bitcoin. And forum is the best place to learn anything concerning of bitcoin. Joining this forum helps one to prevent being scammed. And other things to learn in the forum. All what you need to do is patient and reading.
Absolutely, investing in Bitcoin requires a degree of knowledge, and you've hit the nail on the head in noting that it's not for everyone. But let’s spin this yarn another way, shall we? I'd argue that while technical know-how is beneficial, you don't necessarily have to be a blockchain engineer to invest wisely in Bitcoin. It’s like driving a car; you don’t need to be a mechanic to drive safely and efficiently. It’s important to understand the basics, of course, but the nitty-gritty technical details? Perhaps not essential for everyone.

Your point about the forum being a great place to learn is spot on, yet it doesn't mean that newcomers, who may lack profound knowledge in Bitcoin, have nothing to offer. Fresh perspectives, new questions, and novel ideas often come from those not deeply entrenched in the current ways of thinking. If we restrict Bitcoin to those with pre-existing knowledge, are we stifling its potential for mass adoption? Just something to chew on.
Simply exquisite mate, your explanation and break down of this is quite interesting but that's the truth about being an bitcoin investor and I can take myself for an example on this because till date I can bet that I don't still know the whole technical aspects of bitcoin but that doesn't mean it prevented me from investing or it even stopped me from trying to make an investment in bitcoin. I literally was amuse by the curiosity that bitcoin brought to me and used that energy to actually follow up to learn the basics which I know is what I will be needing plus a strong idea, idea and principle to follow up with me having bitcoin because you as an investor without a plan is totally nonsense because you might end up scattering everything about your actual targets but that's even of course you have one.

note:: technical knowledge is still very important but like you said isn't really a major at first if want to practically invest in bitcoin

Yeah that's true and I aslo believe that with time coming more nation will follow up on this trend but I also feel they have another excuse apart from bitcoin being decentralised and that would be the reason that bitcoin is highly volatile and it may cost them loses, well I don't know but thats is one of my theory too for the this slow and repellent nature of government towards bitcoin but anyways even if it's one of them then its actually a stupid thought because that's same thing the fiat currency does everytime because it's die off and depreciated without the purpose of every getting same value again and if there is nation that I can use to point this particular thing it will be my own country because of the excess printing of fiat our currency has lost all value and cannot even withstand comparison with other fiat which is a typical example of fiat dying off overtime and yet the use  and adoption of bitcoin is still winked at with one eye by our government.

Manchester City's performance at the start of the season was a bit slow. Yet they have managed to maintain continuity. They won 6 out of 7 matches. The main reason for City's slow start to the season is that two key players in the City squad, Silva and De Bruyne, have missed several matches due to injuries. However, Manchester City's performance under Guardiola was excellent.
Yeah sure but Manchester city later peak form, so actually wining 6 matches at of 7 is a commendable performance, of course behind every successful club lies a good coach, so all thanks to Pep Guardiola who has being the great pilot that has lead Manchester City to it continues success with his excellent coaching patterns, I actually have a strong feeling that Manchester city will still win the premier League again this season, even without the injured players they will still get to there destination because all the guys are good, however there next match against Arsenal is going to be a tough truly because Arsenal are also in a good form this season but anyhow i have a strong feeling that Manchester city is going to win the match.
I know Manchester city are probably the favourite team to win the league but I think Liverpool this season can also make a stand if they are willing enough continue with this winning form I they can actually see to it that they actually give Manchester city a tussle for the title although I know it's will be very hard and also I have excluded arsenal because of their inconsistency in the fight for the title because I think that isn't just matured enough to hold up to pressure.
1500  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bc.game not honouring deposit bonus on: October 06, 2023, 03:51:58 AM
You may be right emphasising in this point because I know that what brings disregard and untrust is when you as a platform refuse to compromise or fulfil your promise, at this point what I want you to understand op since you have informed them or remind them on the bonus which is being stipulated in their platform to offer, is that you should let it go, because their is a way you may react to it, different understanding will come in, and it's not only you have seen the issue. I believe that the team will take adequate care in making all this things.
If the site already explains the reason for not getting qualified for the bonus deposit then its acceptable but if the site refuses to inform the player then how you can accept it and move on? Well there is always risk on a site that is not that popular and have this kind of promotion, better to read everything first before making a deposit on any site.
If the rules is not clear for the deposit bonus it will create such confusion and that is what happened to OP, I think the site should make this more clear and let the gambler knows what’s exactly their promotion is. Are you going to gamble on a site that is not clear with their terms and conditions? Better to avoid this kind of site.
Yeah I think that's certainly the most right thing to do because I also tried out the site and upon registration I saw that a menu was shown to make the deposit of 10usdt within a specific time frame to get 300 dollar welcome bonus on which although I failed to  meet up with the time speculated so I didn't much complain but I still thought I would be given some kind of bonus as my first deposit but it's all good am not a complainer to any casino am sure bc game has a specific reason for some if their actions so I think making the terms clearly for this kind of issues is simply the best thing .
