1481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship between social media and Bitcoin on: July 01, 2023, 02:17:09 AM
Social media is not only a powerful weapon, but in my opinion, it has become an indispensable part of our lives. Not only does it have a positive/negative impact on bitcoin, but it affects our daily lives, it's almost impossible for us to stop using it. Social networks are an integral part of any business or individual, apart from the elderly and disabled, I don't believe anyone can survive without social networks.
It is harmful, not helpful.

If you don use social media and read cryptocurrency news too much, you will not be panic and sale off your coin. Market sentimemt is contributed a lot by uncertain emotion and chaotic decisions of many people. They are uncertain and fearful because they read too much articles, tweets on social media.

When they turn off Internet, log out their social media accounts, they will feel better and they must watch the chart less often too.
Why are you afraid of such news if you already know how the market works and have enough faith in bitcoin? I am sure that once you fully believe in bitcoin, even if you read a lot of negative news, it will make you more excited because you will know that it is a good time for you to buy cheap bitcoins. Or you don't like buying cheap?

Do you think it's good for us to invest, but we don't keep up with the news and don't know what's happening? I'm not like you, constant news updates are a good thing because it allows me to predict where the market is going.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 01, 2023, 12:02:52 AM
If there is one coach I won't argue for his player choice it would be guardiola, the man knows exactly what he needs in a player and utilizes these players to their very best. Kovacic in mere comparation doesn't match gundogan but I still can't wait to see him perform because I believe with guardiola as his coach now he definitely play much better than he is currently rated.
You are right, Guardiola knows exactly how to use a player. At the start of last season, we saw Manchester City become heavily reliant on Haaland. However, by the end of the season, this dependence had completely subsided. Gundogan was certainly a very important player in Manchester City's squad. However, since Guardiola is City's coach, he will be able to find a suitable replacement for Gundogan. Guardiola is very experienced. And he knows well which players are suitable to stabilize his squad.

Pep Guardiola generally plans ahead. He is a coach that does not take a step which he did not think two steps ahead in the future. So of course he knows what he’s doing. I know some players are trying to leave Manchester City and that's because Manchester City is currently one of the best teams/clubs in the world if not the best. So a lot of players are realizing that the performance they are going to put on are not going to be enough for Manchester City.

Manchester City is also trying to get some young players into the team. So some old players are moving away from Manchester City. But I believe Guardiola will be able to take the right steps that are necessary for the success of Manchester City.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 30, 2023, 11:34:22 PM
Clarity about this player is still a question mark, I see that the 2 teams that are in touch with Lukaku at the moment don't really want Lukaku. They can use it, but when it comes to spending money they seem to prefer other players. On the one hand, Chelsea also didn't want their losses to continue, because they brought in Lukaku not at a small cost, but he couldn't make a good contribution. On the other hand, Inter Milan may only want him as a player on loan, because it costs more to make him their permanent player.
The issue with Lukaku is that he is not a bad player, we have seen him be a great player for so long, and yet he got injured and haven't gotten back all that much yet. I am not saying he is bad currently, all I am saying is that we haven't had that many games to see him healthy so far. That is why I believe that it is going to be a trouble for anyone to sign him as well.

I do not expect him to be all that different and weird, he is going to be someone who will be a bit hard to recover with his size as well. This is why I believe that it is not going to be that much of a big deal when it comes down to getting a good contract for him, he could leave or stay or whatever but first we need to see him play before we can judge him and how he is.

Lukaku is a great player and I don’t think he has lost the touch of greatness. I believe he will be able to perform well. But that’s just something that I only believe. Nothing is certain with him. And it is going to be a little bit of trouble for the club who is going to sign him now.

We have seen him making and showing a lot of promises with his performance. But in the end, he was not able to deliver. He is a big guy. So sometimes it can be a curse as it is a blessing as well. He will always be physically stronger than most other players and at the same time. He is also going to be prone to injury, especially at this age.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 30, 2023, 07:24:29 PM
^^ BCCI might be rich and generate more than enough revenue in the context of the ICC setup.

But they are still shitty when it comes to their own cricketing infrastructure. If we leave out VIP boxes then it's a very sad situation in every stadium, Motera might be exceptional but the ones i have attended so far, the majority of em were really bad. During IPL they are okay but everything goes down to shit when it's over.
The state governments also impose tax of up to 28% over the ticket price (on top of that, they charge exorbitant amounts for providing security and ruling politicians demand thousands of complementary passes). And they never do anything for the cricket fans. I understand the criticism directed towards the BCCI, but not everything is black and white here. In India, attending cricket matches is considered as a luxury, and politicians believe that they should tax such super-rich people to the brim. An example here:

https://www.indiatoday.in/cities/thiruvananthapuram/story/kerala-minister-abdurahim-entertainment-tax-tickets-india-sri-lanka-thiruvananthapuram-odi-2319587-2023-01-10

The problem is almost all the politicians in the subcontinent are corrupt. And another big problem is India is mostly run by the Modi government. There is basically no opposition party in India. So if the general population has any problem, they cannot say anything because the government will send people who basically “does not exist” to “handle” the situation.

In other countries, we see that if the general population has any problem with the opposition party raises voice, and the government takes that into consideration and makes the changes that are needed. But India basically has become a dictatorship under the Modi government. So whatever the politicians do is going to be the final decision.
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 30, 2023, 10:15:11 AM
I think you can teach kids a different way of investing than bitcoin. The market is still too new to educate children about bitcoin, instead buy books that teach about investing with content that reaches children it will be better for them.

Your post shows that you dont have kids. Ever tried asking or even begging kids to read something? They wont do it, reading for them is like a torture. I cant even remember the last time I saw kid or teenager reading a book. Even if you buy them digital copies of books, they still wont read them. I wish to see how you gonna explain an importance of investment and how kid gonna understand that, but not just nod his head, thinking about YouTube or TikTok.

Not only this guy, but I believe there are many unmarried people. People who have never cared for and grew up with the same child but are giving advice as if they were real parents. They always try to prove themselves to be an expert, someone who is always right, and that's funny.

I have a family and children, but honestly, even I don't know what they think and want, so teaching them when they are so young is extremely difficult. As parents, we should let our children grow up and develop freely, not force them to do what they don't like.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship between social media and Bitcoin on: June 30, 2023, 09:54:08 AM
Most probably most people heard BTC for the first time on social media, not on TV or radio. The generation today doesn't even watch or read news on news sites but on social media.

Totally Agree social media is a powerful weapon even kids nowadays watch phones like crazy, Im adult but yeah Im watching phone like crazy too Good news till bad news about crypto is on social media so that its why social media and cryptocurency is just like a friend

and become one of the biggest tool to promote new coin/token. even myself scrolling tweets to see some newest crypto news
Social media is not only a powerful weapon, but in my opinion, it has become an indispensable part of our lives. As for the cryptocurrency market, I see that social networks bring more benefits than harm, without a social network for us to share opinions freely, many people still do not know about the existence of bitcoin. I am also someone who knows bitcoin through social networks.
1487  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 30, 2023, 09:29:27 AM
It's just a hypothetical question and says nothing about me. I decided to open thread with this question for a lot of reasons which I'll explain down below.

If you think about inflation, taxes and your salary at the same time, you'll understand how the government eats you alive. Let's start with the fact that იf you live in Europe and have a normal salary, you have to leave almost half of it in taxes. Then, when you want to go for shopping and buy something in store, including food, clothes, technics, etc, you have pay your taxes of those items with already taxed money. Then, the store owner has to pay taxes of the income his store generated. Distributors, who deliver things to these stores, have to pay taxes too. Then there are vehicle taxes, property taxes. So, absolutely everything is taxed and on top of that, our salary is taxed and even on top of that, we experience inflation. This is not fair!

So, my legitimate question is, after all the robbery, a person, who doesn't pay taxes, is a bad person for the society or not? More likely I want to get answer from those whose countries have a model similar of European healthcare and employment insurance.

If you evade taxes, then you are definitely a bad person. What if many or everyone thinks like you and doesn't pay taxes? Our country's economy would collapse quickly, and then we would be in a much worse position than paying taxes. To be honest, I also hate paying taxes because we don't earn much, and paying taxes makes life difficult for us. But if we look further, not paying taxes will have more serious consequences, so whether we like it or not, paying taxes is an obligation we must fulfill.
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: June 29, 2023, 03:35:48 PM
I totally agree with you on the power of decentralization. The inventors of Bitcoin have truly made a remarkable contribution to humanity. In my opinion, Bitcoin has the potential to make a significant impact in reducing poverty, mainly through its peer-to-peer transaction system. As more people embrace Bitcoin, there'll be less need to convert it to fiat currency.

How? How can bitcoin be useful in reducing poverty? Have you read the white paper of bitcoin and Satoshi's true purpose in creating bitcoin? Bitcoin is just a currency, and if you want to make money, you need to work, bitcoin is not free for anyone, so it cannot help alleviate poverty. Even if bitcoin is an investment, it cannot do that because there is no guarantee that a bitcoin investment will always generate a return. Too many people are misinterpreting bitcoin, they are being delusional and exaggerating everything.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you think Bitcoin will rise to in the next round of bull market? on: June 29, 2023, 03:18:39 PM
Bitcoin price increase will only be a matter of time, and I think how much bitcoin is worth is not as important as how many bitcoins we have until then. Instead of thinking about bitcoin price in the next bull season, you should focus on collecting bitcoins because even if bitcoin hits $200k, but you don't have a lot of bitcoins, you won't get any benefit from it.

I don't care, I just want to be a part of Bitcoin ecosystem for the next coming years so I am not accumulating because of what the price will be in 2025, I plan to never get out of Bitcoin investment for a long period.

I guess that's your long-term plan, but why don't you think you'll sell when the price hits a new ATH in the next bull season? And you can buy bitcoins after the bull season ends because bitcoin will definitely dump, then you can buy bitcoin cheaper and more. I think that is the plan of many people, not their purpose is just to sell for profit and then stop investing in bitcoin.
1490  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: June 28, 2023, 12:21:10 PM
Still think the ETF funds can solve this problem, or at least will lessen the volatility of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin ETF is already already here, the price of Bitcoin has already shown some positive move over the news. But I don't think that's enough for Bitcoin volatility to be controlled. Volatility is one thing that makes Bitcoin what it is today, you saying Bitcoin volatility should be stopped means you are trying to make Bitcoin a stable coin. Which can't be possible because even the said stable coins out their are not that stable, they still lose value. Bitcoin volatile can only end if it's ever possible for Bitcoin to be controlled which is not possible.

Bitcoin's volatility is a good thing, and that makes it attractive, but I don't understand why so many people want it to be stable? If bitcoin becomes as stable as gold, then I think more people will leave it and look for more volatile investments, let alone it will become as stable as currency. There won't be too many people loyal to bitcoin once it stabilizes.

Honestly, I never expected bitcoin to be stable, I like it to be volatile because it's profitable. If someone doesn't like volatility, they can look to other assets instead of expecting bitcoin to become stable.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 28, 2023, 12:04:54 PM
The traders will obviously buy it because they're don't really care in which price they buy, as long as their analysis and speculation Bitcoin price will increase higher than the amount they buy, there's no problem for them to buy Bitcoin at $100K.

However investors will keep buy too because some of them use DCA strategy, they're speculate the real Bitcoin price isn't $100K at the highest, $100K is just a milestone and not their goals during they invest in Bitcoin.

Yes, traders will buy bitcoin, they hardly care about its price, what they care about is volatility. As long as there is volatility, they can profit from it. As for investors, it will depend on each person's vision. Those who still believe bitcoin has an upside potential above $100k will still buy bitcoin when it hits that price, or new investors without bitcoin will buy at that price. But in my opinion, it would be unwise if someone buys bitcoin for $100k, it's the right time to take a profit.
1492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 28, 2023, 11:52:38 AM
(....)
How high can we go before 2024? $40k? $50k?
The end of this year for Bitcoin is extremely bullish for me. As most other people indicate, which is the block halving. I agree with it also because the basis here is history, it kinda repeats itself because it's not just happened one time.
We still have a lot of time before 2023 will end, we could still visit the $20,000 level, that's how volatile Bitcoin is and difficult to predict.

If you believe history is repeating itself, it is possible. If I remember correctly, in 2020, bitcoin also dropped from $12k to $4k after bitcoin rose from $3k to $12k in 2019.
That happened because of the pandemic mate and the effect is really bad  but sooner as the halving is coming ? the value rose up to the ATH that we have recorded years back.
so I believe that it does not count as for the repeating itself from history.

The Fall of FTX or the drama between Binance and SEC, can we predict? There is no guarantee that there won't be another big black swan or Fuds causing the market to crash before the halving again, anything is possible. There will be no pandemic, but creating FUds should not be too difficult for market makers. I still believe history will repeat itself, but not all, because each cycle has many different factors that affect the market.

The halving is getting everyone very excited as it gets closer and closer to us, but let's not forget this year is very different from any other. I mean, economic crisis and high inflation is something bitcoin has never experienced before, so we also need to look closely at the market. I doubt if the economy can't recover, will the halving really be strong enough to make the market go up?
1494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is improving I guess? on: June 27, 2023, 10:47:35 AM
There is no doubt that bitcoin will improve this year, the negative issue that worries me, namely Binance is experiencing a crisis, turns out to be unproven so the market responds positively, now is the time to keep buying so we can get big profits.
Don't be hasty in drawing conclusions, the price of Bitcoin jumped very sharply in a short time and even so there is still a possibility for a correction to occur again.
Throughout this year I see the price of Bitcoin moving not too significantly and more positive trends than price corrections that have occurred, I also believe that the price of Bitcoin will improve but that will be accompanied by price corrections which will also be proportional to the increase that has occurred.

With what happened in the first six months of the year, it can be affirmed that the market this year is much better than last year. The correction is sure to happen many more times but it won't be a big deal as long as it doesn't drop to $15k like in 2022, it's a very commendable effort for bitcoin.
We are still in a 4-year cycle, so don't expect too much from bitcoin. If bitcoin can sustain above $30k and hit $40k before the end of the year, it will be a success to prepare for the next bull season when the halving will take place next year.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 26, 2023, 08:58:09 PM
Well, it's worth saying that Hamburg was definitely unlucky this year with promotion to the Bundesliga, because their competitors turned the course of their match in the time added by the referee in the right direction for themselves, although the whole match score was in favor of Hamburg. Therefore, I perfectly understand the chagrin of the Hamburg fans, who joyfully ran onto the field after the Hamburg match, and then it turned out that Hamburg would have to fight for promotion further, which the club then successfully failed. Although, of course, with such a budget, Hamburg had to solve its problems much earlier and not bring everything to such a deplorable finish.
the last time a third-placed team in the 2.bundesliga had 66 points and didn't get promoted was in the 2016 / 2017 season.
braunschweig also had 66 points then and only came third. and braunschweig didn't get promoted then either.
they lost the two relegation matches 1:0 to wolfsburg in each case. since 2017, every club with 66 points has been promoted to the first bundesliga ....
only hamburger sv didn't make it because 2 teams were better. and next saison they are trying again. and again with a very good budget  Wink

Hamburger is a good team and I actually have good hope for them in the next season. They were very close to qualifying for the Bundesliga. But it was bad luck and also inconsistency. If they were a little more consistent, I think they’re good at actually getting promoted without even playing the relegation playoff match. That would have been the best case scenario for them.

I think they need to make some changes in the team. They are able to score quite often but at the same time, they are also very prone to conceding goals. They will have to make some changes in the defense. That is going to make the team a more balanced one.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 26, 2023, 08:28:18 PM
Joselu is a very talented player. Last season we saw excellent performances from Joselu, even with a weak team like Espanyol. Joselu is quite an experienced player. I think Joselu will be able to play better with a stable and experienced squad like Real Madrid. But I would have been happy if the Madrid management had chosen Kane or Mbappe as a replacement for Benzema. If these two players were added to the Madrid team, Madrid's attack would have become stronger.
Maybe the option in place for Real Madrid is the right one to fill the void for Real Madrid's strikers considering that Benzema and Mariano have left. I think Real Madrid brought in Joselu for a reason, especially since some say Real Madrid panicked about buying players, but they saw Joselu as the top scorer in the league number three last season under Lewa and Benzema. Real madrid chose the realistic. Tottenham sold Kane at an expensive price, the price was unreasonable, while Mbappe and PSG were complicated. There were no attackers at all, so they brought in Joselu.

Besides, Kane, who is 30 years old, is still very expensive and the mbappe project is about to start next year. Instead of buying, it's better to borrow what is there first. Perez also said to buy an attacker to look at the pre-season first. Maybe Perez is very careful about buying expensive players because they don't want the same thing to happen again, like when they bought expensive Hazard but couldn't contribute to Real Madrid.

Joselu has been showing decent performance. Let’s see if he will be able to actually perform well for Real Madrid or not. It seems to me that Real Madrid have done a good job by waiting. As I see things, next season it is going to be interesting to see whom they will bring in. I also think that if Real Madrid cannot perform well with the squad that they have right now they will bring in new players quickly. Honestly, I think that Real Madrid is going to go for Mbappé in the next season. That’s why they are waiting right now.

Just imagine getting a player who they had agreed to pay 200 million for, getting for free. Roll Eyes

1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 26, 2023, 07:51:01 PM
I think he has recovered from his ignorance. The pains of playing a club where you only give without achieving is what should have driven Harry Kain to leave Totenham since seasons ago. If he was Bayern Munich, PSG, Rwal Madrid, or any other Italian top teams that he sacrice and invest all he has invested in Totenham, I don't think he will be at this level of miniature individual achievement. Kane is a brilliant striker and Bayern Munich will be a safe home for him if he agrees to make a move there.
No definitive decision has yet been made regarding Harry Kane. But I heard that Man United might not sign him. Tottenham are not willing if he still plays in one competition. So the big hope, maybe he will go to Manchester United or to Bayern Munich. Not only Kane, Bayern Munich is also in the search for a replacement for Lewandowski because Sadio Mane did not perform as desired. Bayern even approached Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt and Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta.

Source: https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2023/6/24/23772046/report-haaland-lewandowski-bayern-munich-tottenham-hotspur-harry-kane-transfer-rumors-osimhen-muller

I think if trophies are the only thing that he wants, he should consider going to Bayern Munich. If he do that, he will be able to win the Bundesliga title easily. In comparison to the English Premier League title, this is at least far more easier to win.

So the obvious thing is that if he wants trophies, then going to Manchester United is going to be a bad decision for him. You know, Manchester United is an improving team, but they are still not capable of winning the Champions League or English Premier League title at this time. But whichever team takes him in, he's going to have to remember that in only one month he's going to be turning 30 years old.

1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Become Currency of Nations in 10-15 Years on: June 26, 2023, 08:24:44 AM
I really doubt that BTC would become the currency for as little of 10-15 years from the future.

Remember that BTC solely exists on the internet. With this, there are many countries who do not have access to basic food and education, let alone the technology to support a cryptocurrency online platform with their designated wallets inside their mobile phones.

In addition, to become the currency of the nation, it must have approval and acknowledgement from all the countries in the world, or else it will prejudice them. There are some countries who prohibit the utilization of such and there are even massive prohibition from its usage.

If your concern is just technology or the internet, then there is nothing to worry about as we can see, the internet and smartphones are gaining popularity very quickly. I know there are still some places where the internet hasn't been rolled out yet, but in the next 15 years, I believe the internet will be everywhere in the world.

But I also doubt bitcoin will become the currency of countries, simply because most of them already have their own currency, and they have no reason to get rid of it and replace it with bitcoin, except countries that don't have currencies or countries with high inflation rates. Left, developed countries will never accept bitcoin as a currency, a currency too volatile will affect their economic development.
1499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 26, 2023, 05:39:06 AM
After the price can return to $ 30k I'm optimistic that July can reach at least $ 35k, the upward trend will continue due to positive sentiment in the market, the initial panic when the issue of Binance experiencing a crisis was not proven so that investors were even more optimistic to continue buying.

In April, when bitcoin crossed $30k, and everyone was optimistic, all believed bitcoin would break $35k to conquer the $40k target. But in the end, bitcoin remained below $30k for 2 months, and today, we could see $30k again. But it looks like bitcoin cannot sustain above $30k if we look at the chart now. My expectation is bitcoin will correct below $30k before rebounding and surpassing $32k in the coming weeks.

Many people say that people are being very optimistic, but in my opinion, people are still very cautious with everything. Bitcoin has been bullish for the past few days, but if you check the market, you won't see any new money flowing into the market, with ETFs, bitcoin's price increase is because of the flow of funds from altcoins. So I don't think this bullish can sustain for long.
1500  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC > 1M ? on: June 26, 2023, 05:25:50 AM
Bitcoin to 1 Million is it really possible?

1 million what? Stones? USD? EUR? The value will always be dependent to it's correlation of another asset be it fiat or metal such as Gold. But the sky is the limit. There is a possibility that it can surpass 1M usd but it is also one in a million probability. Objectively speaking, 1M of value would be an overprice. No one will be willing to do such a transaction of person to person unless the supply is very low.

There's no wrong on that question. But having a more realistic insight will give you better information with dealing with future price action in crypto.

That's a really high price, and it's hard to come by. But anything can happen with bitcoin, when bitcoin is below $1, no one believes it can hit $10, then $100, and the highest ATH bitcoin has ever reached is $69k. So Bitcoin hits $1 million, why can't that happen? It sounds unbelievable, but it can still occur.
If we compare the current assets, bitcoin is considered the most scarce asset if you compare the total supply of 21 million bitcoins with more than 8 billion people worldwide. So there will still be a chance for bitcoin to hit 1 million if its demand spikes.
