yesterday i told my father about bitcoin he was shocked to hear about bitcoin.
His first response was that i was out of my mind that i was making all this up.
But after showing him about bitcoin and telling him that he could start working in his spare time on BITCOINTALK...
He actually told me to register a account on his name at bitcointalk... ROTFL hahahaha i told to my father to actually my father and my mother about bitcoin and guess what they've said? "be carefull son we dont want you to live in a jail you are so young:'( " oh dad cmon I wonder in what way did you describe bitcoin to them to make them think you will end up in jail for using it :/ It's the best practice to show both good and the bad sides of the technology, and not just shock news like silkroad, mt.gox, scam ponzis and such. I always talk about bitcoin to newcomers with full honesty, that way they can decide for themselves are they interested or not. cheers actually i did not say anything about negative rumor of the bitcoin,my parents just watch on media and our goverments rule about bitcoin therefore they suggest me to stayed away from bitcoin but i you know i still convinence them that bitcoin is future |

There are many ways to save money. For example : investing gold or bitcoin as long as they have quite high value.
If you rich enough, you can save your money by investing through property because their value never down instead they keep increasing every year

For me, Fully anonymous payments+privacy. And its really helpful for me since i can't create a verified paypal account for my country  Also, it can be used by anyone and instant transactions with low fee is possible You made my day, In my country too is hard to get verified, and even if i get the chances to get limited are very high, so the money if i receive in paypal cant withdraw. So bitcoin is better and the fee arent much high. Which country do you live? why its to hard to get verified ? is that paypal got banned by your goverment or something else? i wish bitcoin could change paypal as a first online payment in internet  You can check in google which countries are not supported. And with paypal its hard to exchange to btc 1:1 or any alt coins. so i prefer more bitcoin than paypal. actually i have a friends that live in pakistan (anyway pakistan is one of the countries are not supported) so i always helped him to convert his paypal to bitcoin but unfortuantely his paypal has limited |

this opportunity is going on or stop we need some explanations or we can upload all videos from youtube  that will be a huge amount of capacity as we know that we just can upload 1 video daily (yesterday was 5) maybe there are some people that work for op to upload it so we just limited with 1 video daily correct me if iam wrong yeah we can upload one video but we have to learn this opportunity is going on ? This whole thread is a good example, why so many people keep away from Bitcoin(and why, in my opinion a lot of people shouldn't have kids)
I most certainly would restrain from using words like "blockchain" or "double spend" when I tell a person (kids are just person, who haven't had as much experience(which is a good think in a lot of cases), they are not stupid). I would restrain from telling them about volatility.
So, I would explain it, the same way, I explained it to my sister(who is 22 now).
Download this app on your smartphone, write down this words for a backup, keep the backup save, here have some Bitcoin, look there is this site, where you can use your Bitcoin.
For a person, who depends on you(aka kids) just give them Bitcoin from time to time to use it(aka allowance)
For a person, who earn their own money(aka adults) show them a good exchange to convert fiat to Bitcoin. Now you can warn them about volatility, not putting all eggs in one basket and so on.
If they have questions, try to answer that questions in a simple way(and here is the big advantage about kids over adults: they ask more questions and they tell you, if they didn't understand the answer).
So, keep it simple, get your priorities right(most important thing is, how to use it, not that it will destroy all banks)
Best answer I've read here. I agree that showing how to use it is thousand times better than explaining. Kids learn really fast how things work. So just show them how to use Bitcoin where you allow them to spend it. For me the best is the possibility to earn some of it easily, although it is on small quantity (faucets i.e). That is much more than what you can do with regular money.
