1481  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: "one of the largest crypto scandals to date" on: March 22, 2023, 08:40:21 AM
many people invested(~800,000 people) in it hoping for big profits by crypto and trading combined, but they were told, we charge 30% fee for withdrawal, after paying 30% fee though, customers are not able to withdraw,
So you are telling us that some random dude came up with a trading bot, asked for investment, ~800,000 people invested there. Then when withdrawing the deposits they were asking for 30% fees, these same people were paying the 30% fees too. How stupid it sounds?

Quote
In some countries, such as Nigeria and Colombia, local leaders were pushed by iEarn Bot mentors - with whom they only ever communicated on Telegram - to organise recruiting events.
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-64939146
It sounds like ponzi scheme. The greed drives these leaders and they keep recruiting more people who want to become leaders too. Leaders everywhere but no one is getting paid except hope to get paid.

"[People] took loans to invest. They used money from other sources, many people were affected," says Andres. "As the local leaders did not have answers, people started to get angry."
Very common in ponzi stories.
1482  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥 Filter (checking) phone numbers Telegram 🔥 on: March 22, 2023, 08:24:41 AM
If this service is possible that's because people don't have good security practices with their accounts, anyone can go to their privacy settings > Phone number, and hide the number for all as you can see in the next image.
I don't think OP is collecting the numbers by going everyone's privacy setting. It some kind of data leak and OP got the data from the leak. Years ago I was doing something and it struck me that it's possible to get the numbers. There were some bots which allowed to see phone numbers. That time telegram was fairly new. Since then I never thought of using telegram.
1483  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet account under review for 5 months on: March 22, 2023, 08:03:15 AM
Cloudbet user: muratkarabag[/b]
Don't expect everyone on the forum to go to Couldbet and ask their customer care to pull up some details for you. When you are making an accusation, you should be providing as much details as you can. Right now I see you only posted a response from them and it's in plan text. How would anyone know that it was really sent by them?

Do you have your bet history, deposit history, history of the conversations. Screenshots can be manipulated. It's better if you have a screen recording. If you have no access of the account and have not preserved the evidences then your chances are near to zero to get attraction for the case.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 20, 2023, 09:52:14 PM
I only got 1.5 this week. I'm practically bottom of the overall table as well. The only users below me are pretty much the ones that have just given up like Welsh  Grin. No idea what's going on this season but there's been a lot of crazy results.
Everything is happening in these season.

City used to win constantly, so does Liverpool, Utd were unpredictable for me. Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Leicester have huge difference in performance comparing to the last few season. The point table for PM tells everything. So this season is not an easy season for PL lovers. We are the same.

This season seems out of hand. May be there is a hope to stay in top 20 but I don't expect anything from it right now.

I used to think CL matches are unpredictable but that's where I feel comfortable these days LOL
1485  Other / Meta / Re: tisnaislam111's ban appeal on: March 20, 2023, 08:38:40 AM
But I don't think mods banned you without looking at closely. You must did something else that looked like a full plagiarism.
I don't understand Bengali and I used google-translator for checking the posts. It seems that tisnaislam111 copy-pasted shasan's post and just changed two dates and a number.
I did not check the contents, the language is unknown to me but in the 2nd image you will see it looks like a quote or I am missing something?

It was number 505 Raphael.  I was shar the raffle number 506.  Shares a raffle so everyone can joining.  I didn't think about a unique idea . I promise I won't make this mistake again.
No post ID yet?

Edit:
I'm not sure res.cloudinary.com is actually legit, so I wouldn't dare to click your link.
Click here to see the deleted post on ninjastic.space.
tisnaislam111 copy-pasted that from the post made by shasan.
Missed it. Solves the mystery, if translation is write then it seems only the changes are in the dates. So OP you copy pasted and changed the dates?
1486  Economy / Reputation / Re: Earned Merit Race Animation - See if you ever got to top20 merited. on: March 20, 2023, 07:35:09 AM
After some time I updated the merit animation race, as requested by Igebotz

https://public.flourish.studio/story/520945/
Nice work man but why it's still stops at 30/12/2022. First I checked the animation from the OP, thought it's outdated then checked the above one and thought this one will have updated data but it seems the same except the cosmetics.

Looking forward to the next one with data from until may be last week or last month.
1487  Other / Meta / Re: tisnaislam111's ban appeal on: March 20, 2023, 07:21:19 AM
I have given the screenshots of the two posts.

 This is my post: https://res.cloudinary.com/dcvvwskjo/image/upload/v1679291444/Screenshot_20230320-114738_wonxyf.png

 Here is his post: https://res.cloudinary.com/dcvvwskjo/image/upload/v1679291444/Screenshot_20230320-114851_iaqusk.png

See both posts.  I was just sharing the raffle.  Please forgive me if there are any mistakes here.  Give me one more chance.  I promise I will think about any post in the future.

The screenshots do not show the post ID, do you have the IDs of the posts. It looks like you quoted the post from Shasan but it's hard to find the contents on the 2nd image. If you know the ID of both posts then may be ninjastic.space can help.

But I don't think mods banned you without looking at closely. You must did something else that looked like a full plagiarism.
1488  Other / Meta / Re: tisnaislam111's ban appeal on: March 20, 2023, 01:33:31 AM
That post is 80% identical to another brother from earlier.  He reports to me.  Then my account was banned.
Sad to see that you did not admit, it was plagiarism. You technically wanted to avoid it by saying it's 80% identical LOL.
How can a post be 80% identical with someone else?

I vowed not to make this mistake in the future.  Give me another chance.
I doubt. You will do the same again because you even don't realize how bad is plagiarism. On a side discussion, it's only a member rank profile. Do you really think it worth anything?
1489  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black_Gloves & Crypto Korea ("Native Translations" on Telegram) Scam Accusation on: March 20, 2023, 01:22:05 AM
[...] as for our team, you are only able to provide translations for your mother language
Because it sounds like an onboard regular job, why don't you consider KYC the staffs. Or they do things independently like the signature participants? Flag supported created by Bitcoin_Arena and left negative tag for both accounts. Such type of behaviors are not recommended.
They are independents, pretty much as the Campaign members.

As for the KYC we all know it is not always providing 100% accurate data, especially when the person has nothing to lose (not a gambler at all) as they can provide fake documents & even use proxy to access the site
In this case it's hard to prevent the situation. Anyone good at hiding their style can abuse you. I was thinking it's an office setup like working from home with their camera and computer screen-sharing turned on LOL
1490  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My wallet has been hacked. What to do? on: March 20, 2023, 01:17:06 AM

That definitely looks like a scammer's transaction.  Multiple types of addresses indicates that the private keys with UTXOs were swept all at once, and with a fee of 50 sats/vByte.  Only a scammer would apply such an expensive fee, to make sure that no one can replace the transaction with a higher fee.
Well I saw sport bookies also send tx with higher fees. If I can remember I saw even 100 sats/vByte tx sent to me from a sportsbook. I guess they don't care about the fees as they have a lot of other things to look into.

thanks everyone for the replies.
Perhaps the translation was not very accurate - my English is far from ideal and I have to use Google.

The scheme of work is as follows: I use the standalone version of the client. The Electrum profile itself does not exist on the computer - it is in the archive under a password. If I need to make a transaction, I unpack the profile folder to a specific location, indicate this location to the program, enter the password and get access. At the end, I close the program, again I archive the profile folder with its removal from the location.
Those. Initially, there is no folder with a wallet or a file with a phrase on the PC. Therefore, I cannot understand how exactly without this phrase and in the absence of access to the wallet file, access to transactions could be obtained.
And - yes, I imagine how the blockchain works. Please don't waste your time visualizing how much smarter you are. Thank you.
The way you are explaining, it sounds like you have your wallet stored in a USB stick or removable storage. You go in different places, copy the wallet file, do your things and then delete the file from the device. By any chance, are you using internet cafes where they allow you to work on a PC for a small service charge? I hope I am wrong.

And one more thing guys, it's about security issue - look at this, 3 days ago
https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/8244
Isn't it looks like something just begun?
I gonna ask there as well
Your wallet was a 2 of 2 multisig wallet?

I guess everyone of us is having difficulty to understand your English. Sorry.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 20, 2023, 01:04:38 AM
It's been a bad round so far for many. Why wouldn't it be? Three draw out of six match so far. I don't think many people prefer to go with a draw.
I don't mind draws and I generally pick quite a few of them but problem in this GW was that they were all quite unexpected results. I had 1:1 on Brentford - Leicester and then changed it last minute to 2:1 so missed 3 points there. Never would have got Chelsea draw just when they started to look a bit better or Wolves losing at home while conceding 4 goals.
I rarely go for draw. I feel like 90 minutes is a long time to decide a team to stay ahead, I know it's a weird feeling, it's like we don't see draw matches LOL
In many occasions I had bitter feeling that you had in Brentford match. I lost count of them. When I make a pick, I don't change it before the match starts anymore. Thing is, you have no idea what you are about to change will become right or it was already a correct outcome.

-snip
I thought I had the worst among those of us who are posting regular basis but looking at you gives me some confidence LOL

Ending this round with 1 point from Arsenal  Smiley. I guess its better than 0 point and I guess this is my first wooden spoon this season(?) cant recall if I ever got any other during this season

So I guess those with 0 points means they didnt put any predictions this round hence I got the wooden spoon
This round result was not good for anyone overall. Let's forget it. The one who got the yellow cap he is extremely lucky.

1493  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any problems with *CHIPMIXER* coins? on: March 19, 2023, 01:37:45 PM
Are there any complaints about closing KYCed accounts, tax reports or problems that resulted from depositing ChipMixer mixed coins? Specifically after ChipMixer.com has been seized.

So far there are no such report caught my attention but I think it's to early to know. I really hope in the next coming months we don't see many topics where it's saying exchange x seized my bitcoin or service x seized the bitcoin deposit because they found I mixed my coin with Chipmixer.

I don't think there are not many people who care about their privacy but never used Chipmixer. It's a big blow for all of us.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 19, 2023, 01:31:39 PM
From now henceforth, my assumptions about KYC verification from reputable online gambling platforms have changed, I seek for answers and I find them, drop your opinions if you think I am wrong or you think this is not accurate enough.
KYC cost them money too. There are some dedicated service who take fees for per user they verify. Now imagine a bookie have millions of users and for each user they are spending for example $5. It's minimum $5M.

KYC also help prevent abuse. When you are KYCed then chances are in a case of abuse, the bookie knows you and they will not allow you to continue with them anymore.
1495  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where do you post trade information when you trade goods using cryptocurrency? on: March 19, 2023, 03:19:42 AM
bitcointalk? reddit? telegram? or other?

Would you use an escrow service? Or would you prefer to conduct transactions face-to-face?

Which escrow service you use? paypal or other?

If there were a completely on-chain application that could help you solve the trust issue without escrow,
would you be willing to give it a try?
I never needed to do such trade but if I have to then I will go with the forum.

Considering my presense on the forum for years I don't think anyone will ask for that. In fact they will need to send me first then to get payment. But for newbie or anyone who does not have long history they an use forum escrow. There are many users who provide escrow service.

Paypal? Go fuck them LOL
1496  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 19, 2023, 02:14:06 AM
Also, if the government tells you to stop using bitcoin because it is illegal according to their view, would sell all the bitcoins you have because of their power or will you fight for your right?
That's why stay anonymous. I see members post their social profile, picture, phone number, website address and many more things that can lead to identify you easily. It's not just the government you need to do it for your own personal safety.

When you will be known to have Bitcoin in your procession, people will think you are reach no matter if you have even lass than 1 mBTC. If they identify you in real life then bad people will try to take advantage from it. Thing can end very bad.
1497  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 19, 2023, 01:39:40 AM
At this point they already have what they wanted, you just have to get it. When they capture the owner of ChipMixer, they'll want to make an example of him.
And how are they going to achieve it? Death sentence or life time behind the bar? I don't think much is going to happen. He will give them a lot of money they will reduce the bar time only if they can catch him. Considering the wealth the guy can easily change his identity, facial even physical structure those we see on the sci-fi  movies LOL.

My point is, they want to hold of as many Bitcoin as they can and make Bitcoin unusable. The market will decide the effect though.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 19, 2023, 01:30:29 AM
Really bad results today and i think o most no one got some big points. Really hard to get any points today. Barely got 1 from this 4 games.

1 point is a delight. Check this out

Have a look on a better one 😂

Hopefully I will break not having luck to get an exact score streak today 🤣? I lost my lady luck LOL

You're flying in the champions league pool. Beautiful sight
Thank you. It's my last hope to win something this season 😉

The same forum members who, for some reason, were the loudest in demanding a pay rate reduction in the CM campaign, are now opening the champagne and celebrating what happened
It's jealously, envy, bitterness mouth tasting. A lot of people out there drives by their failure than achievements. They lack skills but works hard eventually only working hard is not taking you to the top. Skill and hard-work along with other success factor makes a man to achieve their desire. Well obviously your ethics should be not harming others.

Don't forget there are these other type of people. They seek opportunity to stay with the trend and allow themselves to get some attention.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2023, 06:37:03 PM
In the champions pool, I was fourth before the KO games. I can't even remember where I am now,  Grin I missed almost half of the games, and I'm hoping to recover with the quarterfinals games  The goal is to be in the top 5
You are already competing with your luck in such pools and when you miss your picks then you are losing your chances. It happened with me on EPL pool last year. Learnt from that and wanted to be serious this year but EPL pool is becoming a frustration for me LOL

Hopefully I will break not having luck to get an exact score streak today 🤣? I lost my lady luck LOL

Slam points very important in this next round Wink
Good luck 😉
