Voltas are coming soon and pretty much the RX will become obsolete if Nvidia delivers as they have promised, the first GPU-s to be equipped with GDDR6 memory and hopefully will show a great improvement in coins which are dependent on memory. Still here in Italy you can find only locally a RX 580 for 440 EUR which I think it is too much for 30 Mhash they offer in mining.

Two reasons why GPU mining will never die.

1.New GPU-s will be released every 6 months or at max every 1 year.
2.New GPU friendly coins will be released.

End of story: GPU mining will continue for quite a while, no need to worry about that.

Fact: Actuall a rig of mine with 6 x RX 570 with perfect bios modification and total hashrate in eth 0.182GHS is making 0.0017 BTC daily while a S9 is making 0.0012 BTC daily. This shows that a GPU mining at this moment is more powerful than a S9.

That is not totally true about of raising the threshold to external wallets. Sure you can see NEXT PAYMENT UNKNOWN but they are paying from Thursday to Sunday every one of these days balances which have accumulated 0.01 BTC or more. That is the same as before. Sure they raised it a few days when they made 0.10 BTC min payout but that was removed soon after as many users were fleeing to other Automatic miners like Winminer.
