Bitcoin mixing is a process designed to enhance the privacy and fungibility of cryptocurrency transactions, and it should not be conflated with money laundering. While money laundering involves disguising the origins of illicit funds through various means, Bitcoin mixing is a legitimate technique employed by users to increase the anonymity of their transactions. In essence, it involves combining multiple transactions into a single transaction, making it challenging to trace the original source of the funds. Advocates argue that enhancing privacy is crucial for maintaining the decentralized and pseudonymous nature of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and that mixing services contribute to this objective without necessarily facilitating illegal activities. It is important to distinguish between legitimate privacy-enhancing practices and illicit financial activities when discussing the complexities of cryptocurrency transactions.

The recent arrest of the CEO of the largest cryptocurrency exchange has sent shockwaves through the crypto community, prompting a sense of deja vu reminiscent of past incidents involving high-profile figures in the industry. This event raises concerns about the regulatory landscape and legal challenges faced by cryptocurrency exchanges. Investors may be experiencing a sense of familiarity as similar situations have unfolded in the past, leading to increased scrutiny and regulatory measures. The arrest underscores the ongoing tension between the decentralized ethos of cryptocurrencies and the need for regulatory oversight. As the crypto space matures, such incidents serve as reminders of the challenges and growing pains faced by an industry navigating the intersection of technology, finance, and regulatory compliance.

Bitcoin is often considered a safe haven asset, a digital refuge for investors seeking stability in times of economic uncertainty. Its decentralized nature and finite supply, coupled with the cryptographic security of its blockchain, contribute to its reputation as a reliable store of value. As traditional financial markets experience volatility, some investors turn to Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and geopolitical risks. While the cryptocurrency market itself can be volatile, the perception of Bitcoin as a safe haven has grown, positioning it as a unique and alternative asset class in the global financial landscape.

First of all, I would like to welcome you to this amazing forum where you can share about your platform and most probably get the exposure that you want to have. Although, you have created your announcement thread in the right board but unfortunately it won't be able to get much attention as there aren't any images in it.

I recommend you to go for Cooper membership as that will allow you to add images into your announcement thread which will ultimately increase the exposure of your announcement thread on the forum. Players want to see graphics on an announcement thread however your announcement thread is lacking those graphics which you can add when you purchase Cooper membership.

Your Casino seems like a good one to me and I believe that you'll get players from this forum who will use your casino and that's why I also recommend you to have a signature campaign so that you'll get more exposure to your site.

1487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s your portfolio building strategy for crypto? on: November 21, 2023, 04:43:09 AM
Guys, I’d really like to know how you built your crypto portfolio? I’m a seasoned crypto investor myself (not to mention an entrepreneur) and this is just that time of the year when I ask other crypto investors about their strategies. My Strategy is centered around using AI to analyze data and trends of the current market and then rebalancing my portfolio based on my findings. What are you all doing/have done to build your portfolio?

AI can't analyze data and trends of the current market and if you rely on AI's analysis then surely you'll see huge losses in crypto world. A better thing is to learn about the market from scratch and once you learn about it in detail then try investing in crypto most probably into Bitcoin when you see dips. It's the best strategy so far for investors find dips and accumulate Bitcoin during those dips. The portfolio will grow over time and you'll also be profitable in long term.

My simple strategy is to buy when you see dips in the price of Bitcoin or some other major altcoins but the trusted and reputed ones and hold those for at least a few years and gain at least 100% or more profit from each coin other than Bitcoin because it's worth it to hold Bitcoin for long-term instead of selling it to earn 100% profit from the initial investment. When you gain 100% Profit then sell 50% of the altcoin and wait for other opportunities to invest the money. It's that simple but someone who's greedy and who can't control his/her emotions won't be able to do that and that's why I believe that only those who can control their emotions of greed will have profits for long term.
1488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Javier Milei wins presidency in Argentina on: November 21, 2023, 04:31:03 AM
Unexpectedly, Javier Milei won the presidency in Argentina. I'd been following this story because it's interesting to see a Milton-Friedman-style libertarian (or at least someone who identifies himself that way) suddenly get put in charge of an ultra-statist, pretty-screwed-up country.

I hope that he does really well and turns Argentina into a libertarian paradise where I can move someday. But I expect that it's going to be a huge disaster. Milei appears to be a bomb-thrower (like Trump or Bolsonaro) rather than a serious policy wonk, which absolutely will not help him now that he's the one in power. When he tries ending popular programs and firing government employees, people will riot. If I was him, I'd get a diverse group of really serious experts (mostly but not entirely libertarian-leaning), and see if they can come up with some sane policy changes which won't cause riots.

Any Argentinians here with an opinion? I'm not very familiar with Argentina, and I've only read a handful of articles on Milei, so my knowledge is only surface-level.

I also don't know much about Argentina and that guy Javier Milei but I have heard that the guy is a Bitcoin supporter and if that's the case then maybe in his leadership he might make purchasing and holding of Bitcoin easier for the citizens of that country. If I'm not wrong then that guy is strictly against central banks or he shows that he is against central banks. That guy won the game because he was against the central banks and citizens supported him in his stance. His was against the banks and he shown the negative picture of central banks to the public of Argentina because in that country the Argentine peso has seen huge inflation in a year and that allowed him to get trust of the public.

That guy has shown that Bitcoin is the solution to solve the economical problems of Argentina and it will be a useful asset to fight against the inflation but the guy hasn't made Bitcoin a legal tender yet in Argentina, however I believe that if he stick to his words then maybe in few days to few weeks he make Bitcoin a legal tender for the country. The guy has vowed to shut down the central banks and replace the Argentinean peso with US dollar and may support the idea of decentralized finance in the country. The guy supports Bitcoin but we can't neglect his libertarian views and that's something worrisome for many citizens of the country. Although the guy is a libertarian but he's not posing strict policies himself but is trying to get votes in favor of his libertarian views.

Here's a good article about that guy written by Susie Violet Ward

Sorry guys if this is a dumb queston, but I was wondering who founded bitcointalk. I read somehere here that Satoshi created it, but im not sure if its a trustworthy source. Is btct made by Satoshi or a group of btc lovers?

I'm not really sure about who's the real founder of this forum but if you see the account of the Satoshi Nakamoto then you'll see that he got the founder tag on his profile and I guess he's the founder of this forum as well. The forum has been managed by Theymos for many years and he may be the founder or creator of this domain name but the forum of the forum is Satoshi Nakamoto.

1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the creator of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2023, 03:59:34 AM
Oh, you got him there, haha. It's funny thinking that many people here want to be or identify themselves as satoshi, which I think satoshi nakamoto will not do, and by your evidence, it's already proven that he is a scam. At first, I think no one will believe him. Coming out without any notice or just a blink of an eye, he popped up, and no one will believe he's scheme.

Yeah, those type of people just want to get fame by using someone else's name and this time someone out of no where came here and created an account just to claim that he's Satoshi Nakamoto. The lame thing is that he's creating the threads content with AI generators like ChatGPT which's truly the dullest thing I have ever seen. Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin and presented it to the public and I believe his mission was successful and now we have Bitcoin.

He created Bitcoin for community and now left it for community and disappeared from the scene himself because he didn't want to have fame or any troubles that would arise in his life because he created a p2p finance system that doesn't rely on traditional centralized system. Those guys who claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto are basically frauds and they just use that name in order to get fame and nothing else. Many people claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto but none of them were able to prove those claims and that's why anyone who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto is just a fake person and nothing else.
1491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 21, 2023, 02:10:55 AM
2031 sounds a bit late for me. Generally speaking, it is possible that a some point bitcoin basically plateaus (at much higher levels) and would be going up and down just 20-30% a year.
What I am talking about? I cannot imagine bitcoin going at a 45 degree angle for a decade, but it is possible that bitcoin will very rapidly change it's "state" from a 0.5 tril asset to a 10-20 tril asset (20-40X) and stay there for a long time. This transition could be relatively fast-for example, this cycle and the next one, finished by late 2028, early 2029.
I am not sure why we need to compare bitcoin with GDP when it is mostly an asset that is presumed to be a savings vehicle, at least for a nearest future.
We have roughly 500-900 tril in assets and, I believe, bitcoin could be roughly 2-3% of all assets by 2028-2029.
In addition, Gold has a 13.1 tril market cap and by 2028 halving, bitcoin's stock to flow (indicating scarcity) would be way higher than gold, making it quite plausible that bitcoin can attain a similar market cap.
Both gold and bitcoin are not directly involved in GDP production, or are involved only on a limited basis, for now.

I was a bit bothered by the GDP as some kind of a realistic measurement of bitcoin too, even though there could be some validity to using GDP as part of a measurement, even though overall monetary value is likely a way more appropriate measure, especially since bitcoin seems to either be amongst the soundest of money ever discovered/invented, but also that monetary value ends up being the most appropriate measure of from where bitcoin is going to be taking value since the value is going to flow into the soundest of monies.. so there is nothing else that comes close to bitcoin, even while at the same time, it could take 50 to 200 years for the value flow to really come to later stages in which an overwhelming majority of it is in bitcoin, and surely that seems to be closer to $900k at current times and based on current dollar values.

Another thing that I am considering about SamReomo's presentation of a peak after the 2029 peak is that there is an assumption that we are going to get off of the 4-year cycle, and I doubt that we so easily get rid of the 4-year cycle, so we cannot completely ignore the 4 year cycle or even go contrary to it with0out some kind of an explanation regarding why that would end up happening in 2030/2031.. just seems strange because 30-31 would be correction and/or stagnation years and 2028/2029 and also 2032/33 would be the potential pump years.. and yeah the 4-year cycle is not guaranteed, but it seems a bit counter-factual to just ignore it or presume it away.. even if it does remain possible that the 4-year cycle might disappear at some point.

I believe that the globe's GDP will always be the first thing we look after because the money will flow from the global GDP into Bitcoin and I don't think that without boost in global GDP we may see huge money coming into Bitcoin. I know that there are huge hedge funds that hold a lot of money in their control but they won't throw everything into Bitcoin and in the end the community as a whole needs to invest in it in order to increase its market cap. I'm quite sure that even governments won't be putting a lot of GDP into Bitcoin because they have their reasons for that. When new investors get interested in Bitcoin and they start investing in $Billions then we may see the asset's marketcap to grow and I'm pretty sure the hedge funds will also invest huge funds into it because they want good returns.

I believe that 2030-2031 will play very important role in reconstructing our beliefs because I guess in those years we may no longer have that 4 year cycle in our brain as at that point Bitcoin may reach to levels that it would not be necessary to go after the 4 year cycle anymore. Surely, the half of the community won't let go of their old beliefs but they'll also understand that things change and sometimes we need to forget about the past in order to have a better future. Let's assume that in 2031 instead of having a price correction Bitcoin goes up and up and that would trigger new beliefs in the holders and may help to remove the old beliefs about the 4 year cycle. I know it's easy to say such thing but surely that thing has to happen either in 2031 or in a later year but I'm pretty optimistic about that change.

Let's wait and watch as it is too early to come to any conclusion. If they are committed to what they have said they would start the process as early as possible. If not then we would hear from those on the thread that they have not kept their promise. I still think that we should give them another chance and not start comparing them with other big exit scams. They have informed us of the reason why they suddenly stopped their service and it is better to wait some more time. If they refund the money they won't regain any lost trust it is just that it would help them in their new project.

Well, I'm also watching that what actions they will take in order to refund the players who used to trust them and deposited money into their platform. I hope that they would keep their promises this time because they used to say such words back then but due to their incompetency many players have lost a lot of money. I agree with you that they deserve another chance and I hope that this time they will refund all those users who have deposited money into their platform. I believe that if they get success in refunding the players then surely they can be trusted once again but yeah they won't get the trust that they have lost due to their incompetency.
1493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 21, 2023, 12:07:40 AM
My solution to pay less fee is by not making any transactions during the network congestion because when network is congested with so many transactions then the fee gets higher and anyone who wants to make transactions with low fee during such times won't be able to receive or send the transactions as miners won't be accepting low fee transactions during such times.

Another important step to do during such times is to do transactions with another blockchain instead of Bitcoin and I think Monero is one of the best altcoins to go with during network congestion times because the Monero network is quite safe and the transactions are secure and the fees are low.

1495  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is 1miau fit for DT? on: November 20, 2023, 10:17:15 PM
+1
Topics in Reputation can get quite heated and that's part of the game but as you've said, it's always important to find a peaceful solution, to stop name-calling, to stop pouring oil in the fire.
That's what a good DT member should do and advocate for. After all, this forum is called Bitcointalk, not P&S talk.
Many members have stated the opinion here how important it is to remember that.
We won't drink a beer together but at least, we can peacefully co-exist in the forum.  Smiley

Yeah, it's always better to find a peaceful solution to resolve any conflicts that take place because of the political matters. It's a worse thing to increase the intensity of the fire by pouring oil into it because that will increase the differences between two people and can create further conflicts. It's always better to pour water to calm down the fire and that's the way we all should incorporate. It's not hard to create differences between two people or increase the intensity of differences by shaping your words but it's quite difficult to have a solution of the conflicts that are taking place between two people.

Our forum is one of the best places in the world and we as members of the forum should try our best to contribute to the forum as much as we can. Sometimes we don't agree with the opinions of other members but if their opinions can be helpful in a way or other then we should either support those opinions or keep silence in order to avoid provoking of any conflicts because if we don't like someone's opinion it doesn't mean that their opinions are incorrect. However, if we continue to have arguments then that may be the cause of conflicts and that's not good for our own mental health and for the peacefulness of the forum.

We all should be concerned about the future of Bitcoin and it's growth and I believe that if Bitcoin grows then at least some of the financial problems of the globe will be solved and that would contribute to the reduction of war to some extent. It's not hard to start a war but it's quite hard to start a peaceful initiative. We can only hope for peaceful and happy future of us and all human beings but unfortunately we can't change the mindsets that are mostly there to cause troubles and nothing else. I believe that the issue between you guys isn't personal and that's why I think you both can easily solve such differences in simple PM's and that will be better than continuing this thread. I hope that soon we may come up with a solution that will be satisfactory for both of you guys.  Smiley
1496  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING if you using PAXFUL! on: November 20, 2023, 09:06:20 PM
Hey, what's up man.

I was trading some bitcoin on Paxful when a scammer tried to scam me, they do like this. First they create many offers to buy bitcoin with a very good rate... Like 20% 50% over market and when you open trade they send a fake slip that they probably done in Paint in one minute... is very bad looking Tongue its so annoyning because now in paxful this scammers is the only ads you see, if you not are used with Paxful its easy to get fooled like this... ok... so they send this slip https://imgur.com/a/WwMznp0 here look at this picture, and if you scan that QR code they will have access to your whole account and everything..

Ok so not everyone can now about this, that's why I want to put a warning out there, you reputable members already know of course, but not everyone can now.
So now if you reading this you now.

How can paxful allow thing like this??

I have used that site in past and back then it was a good site to exchange your local currency into Bitcoin but now the site is a home to scammers. I think it's better to avoid such sites because they aren't reputed enough to be used and if someone uses those sites then they may get scammed by those scammers. I'm not big fan of using such sites but surely in my earlier days with Bitcoin I used that site and back then I would say again that my experience was good with them.

I think the admins and moderators at Paxful doesn't care a lot about the users anymore and that's why they are allowing things like that to happen. I appreciate you for creating this thread because I believe that it will be helpful for the ones who still want to trade on that site.

Since you can't embed the images on the forum due to your rank and the Imgur.con doesn't work anymore that's why I have uploaded your image on Talkimage.com.

After reading the whole thread and the replies in it I must say that we should stop the debate here because it won't be helpful at all and if this conversation continues then it will be another topic of the P&S, and that's not going to be a good thing for the reputation board. I respect @1miau and @mikeywith as both of them are among the reputed members of the forum who have been contributing good stuff to the forum, and that's why taking favor of one party while opposing other is not going to be any helpful.

I'm not someone highly interested into politics because I believe that politics can create differences between us as humans and we may hate our brother just because of the politics and ideologies. We should think more about the progress of the humanity and human civilization rather than taking part in political conflicts which aren't going to be resolved any sooner because if they get resolved then who will purchase the war weapons which are meant to be used during the conflicts.

I don't really read news a lot because it will be very hard for me to see someone suffering and I'm the one who can't do anything to relieve someone's sufferings. Although, I can't do any thing individually to help those who suffer from the conflicts of others but if I see those sufferings then as a human I can feel their pain, but unfortunately I can't relieve their pain and suffering. Here in this forum we all are supposed to be here to help and support the Bitcoin project and we all should keep our personal and political debates aside and try our best to contribute as much for the Bitcoin community and for this amazing forum as we possibly can. I won't be saying more words because I'm quite sure that someone who get hurt from my words so I'm just requesting you guys to resolve the political issues and don't let those issues ruin your forum activities.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Good News Argentina Cryptocurrency Holder on: November 20, 2023, 07:52:04 PM
Good that a Bitcoin supporter/lover won the presidential run off but I think he will be keeping his personal interests aside and will be doing what's best for his nation and people. It's not as easy as we think to support crypto alin front of assembly as he should be ready to convince other stakeholders if he has to make any crypto or Bitcoin friendly initiatives and to be honest Bitcoin will continue thriving even without government's support but it would be really nice if he don't create hurdles for crypto. If he remains neutral that would be more than enough for us.

It's a great news for Bitcoin community because now our friends from that country won't face any troubles in accumulation Bitcoin because someone who's a lover of Bitcoin would always try his best to support it and will allow anyone to own Bitcoin. Who knows that in future that president allows the citizens of the country to have Bitcoin without any restrictions and that will be a good thing I guess.

If isn't either hard to support crypto mostly Bitcoin in front of assembly because Bitcoin has been there for more than 13 years and anyone who poses any finger against it should be referred to its history that how much growth it has got in a single decade. I'm quite sure that he will be able to convince everyone to make Bitcoin friendly initiatives in his country because that will be helpful for everyone not only for himself. I believe that we may see huge support for Bitcoin from Argentina during the presidentship of that guy. Let's be optimistic about his leadership because he's part of the Bitcoin community and surely he will do his best to take Bitcoin a step above.

This transition could be relatively fast-for example, this cycle and the next one, finished by late 2028, early 2029.

2031 isn't late if you see the growth of GDP per year then it would be really hard for Bitcoin to be a 10-20 trillion asset in 2028 or 2029. The total GDP of the world in 2022 was around $100.56 Trillion according to the world bank and it's expected that the total GDP of the world in 2023 will be around $105 Trillion and with such small growth the total GDP of the world will be around $131 Trillion to $140 Trillion by year 2030 or 2031. I also believe that it would be amazing to see Bitcoin getting $20 Trillion out of that $131 Trillion into into its marketcap but that will be more like a dream then reality.

40 days makes little sense in regards to the approval idea since... I doubt anything is getting approved on new years eve... yet if you mean that the ETF is getting approved on or before the end of the year and the BTC price is going to reach $50k before the end of the year, then sure those kinds of things seem possible.. maybe even greater than 50/50 odds.. but who knows?

Probably,  it's easier to pick apart predictions rather than to make them.

Yeah, I believe that we might see ETF's getting approved in the month of December and that would trigger the price of Bitcoin to reach $50k easily. I know the odds aren't in the favor of this idea and $50k in 2023's December seems a little bit higher than other predictions but surely if the ETF gets approved then in a matter of days we'll see huge price pumps.

2024 seems pretty boring from your perspective.. the BTC price gets above the ATH.. but just barely 30%.. .. so it barely gets out of no man's zone.. so seems like a weird place to stop.. even though there likely will be some resistance prior to noman's zone which is around $55k and also around $100k.. but it also seems that getting so close to $100k is going to cause some difficulties to not break through.

Yeah, I think that BTC price will pump over previous ATH in 2024 but it won't be able to achieve the full ATH of this coming bull market in 2024. I guess it will be a little difficult for Bitcoin to cross $60k to $70k in 2024's after the halving but once it achieves that then we may see a price correction again and in late 2024 we may see Bitcoin's price over $90k or beyond and yes $100k is going to be a tough one to cross.

Regarding your whole 2025, we ONLY are going to get another 30% price rise?  You seem to be really thinking in absolutes rather than percentages, which maybe causes you a lot of limitations on your thinking... but hey, maybe it is better to be overly conservative rather than overly bullish, so I cannot necessarily blame you for that.

Nope that's the bare minimum that I'm expecting but I guess it may reach $150k to $200k in 2025 and that's a possibility I guess. But, for that we will have to see more activity from the investors and man the BlackRock alone is a giant so anything can happen in 2025.

The correction in 2026 and 2027.. how far can we correct when the UPside had ended up playing out so anti-climatically?  lower than $69k?  Back down to $40k?  That's pretty pathetic, even though sure it is possible, it seems like a bit of a long shot to be outlining such "stable" scenarios when dee cornz is not a very stable or mature asset class, and there is nothing really taking away from the various ongoing UPpity price pressures, in spite of some of the anti-bitcoin flamethrowing from regulators. but is any of that anti-cornz nonsense going to really slow down dee cornz in any significant and/or meaningful way?

I guess we will see the correction that would be a little bit below $69k if Bitcoin reaches the ATH of around $120k but if makes $150k or $200k ATH then I'm pretty sure that it won't be going below $80k but surely if something like the previous bear market takes place then the price may go below $70k for sometime, and I believe that would be the best price in those years for accumulators.

From 2028 until 2031, BTC is going to break the cycle pattern?

And if we are supposedly selling BTC in 2031, what are "most of us" selling to get into? property? other investments?  Consumption such as HLB?  You seem to be a bit short-sighted in your bitcoin journey if you are spending time accumulating BTC so that you can get out of BTC in 2031-ish.  But hey, do what you like?  no one is stopping you, unless you maybe might learn something about dee cornz between now and 2031-ish.. so you have about 7-ish to 8-ish years to figure out why you are accumulating dee cornz.. presuming that you are planning to continue to accumulate cornz for a decent amount of time more in the coming years.

I'm not saying that in 2031 we will be selling all of our BTC holdings but some of it so we can enjoy other things in life but a few people may hold Bitcoin even if it crosses $1M price mark and I would consider those people extremely long-sighted. Well, theoretically Bitcoin can reach $5 to $50M in value but that thing surely won't happen sooner.

a new ATH that's going to be higher then the previous ATH.

Yep, that will be a new ATH but that won't be the bull market's All Time High that we all are expecting. I believe when Bitcoin crosses $69k then that would be considered as a new ATH but it will still have the potential to go beyond that price tag in the coming bull run and reaches to a price mark which will then be the ATH that we are expecting to see.
