14861  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that bitcoin immune from hacking & fraud ?? on: April 19, 2018, 07:00:32 AM
Consider the value of bitcoin,it has made exchanges prime targets for hacking, and thus has made hacks there quite lucrative..
I mean the anonymity and irrevocability associated with bitcoin transactions means that the money lost is also irrecoverable, CMIIW..

Many of the past incidents of hacking and fraud turned out to be insider jobs. One example is that of Sheep Marketplace. It later turned out that the owner of that dark market (Tomáš Jiřikovský) was the one who stole coins from the users.
14862  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you prefer Bitcoin or Ethereum ? on: April 19, 2018, 06:58:56 AM
It is a very difficult question to answer. Bitcoin was obviously my first crypto-currency, and in the past it has given me amazing returns. But as of now, it looks like Ethereum is having a better potential. So I would go with Ethereum if I have to make a choice.
14863  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: April 19, 2018, 06:57:18 AM
If they don't deserve their wealth, then no one in then world does. They took great risks by investing in Bitcoin when the rates were really low and there was hardly any media attention. And in the end, they got rewarded for it.
14864  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC and large coins recover? on: April 19, 2018, 06:56:09 AM
I don't understand this post. Bitcoin was trading below $1,000 per coin on January 2017. Right now, the exchange rates are around $8,300 per coin. In one year it has given 730% returns and you guys are still worried about a dip?
14865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: April 19, 2018, 06:51:03 AM
"Will Russia win Group A?" - No" for 1.42 and "Will Russia advance from Group A?" - No" for 3.10 on Pinnacle seems very nice for me. I am Russian and I don't understand, why our team is estimated so high. Maybe the main reason is playing at home, but as for me, I don't believe in them. Right now we have one of the weakest football generations for many years and definitely the worst coach for a long time. Even if they confirm the odds and win Saudi Arabia, I don't see the way but a luck for our defense to hold Mo Salah and Cavani.

Fortunately for Russia, they are placed in an easier group along with Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Apart from Uruguay, none of the other teams are stronger than Russia. So my advice would be to bet in favor of Russia progressing from Group A.
14866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: April 19, 2018, 06:49:02 AM
Yeah, because the rajasthan royal looks weaker side now because they don't have firepower in the middle order so they are losing their games,I think rajasthan needs to strengthen their batting line up in the coming matches or else they can't make it to playoffs. And KKR looks more dangerous side now everyone is in good form and they have well balanced team on all departments.
Rajasthan Royals need to promote the batting order of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler as they are good strikers and they could change the match if they have more balls to face and they need D'Arcy Short to start firing from the get go, he has a strike rate of 149 but today he did not play like that even though he scored 44 runs at run a ball. KKR have an opener in Narine who always give them a  quick start and Andre Russell is their star player.

Narine gave them a quick start this time as well, and he scored 35 runs in 25 balls. His partnership with Robin Uthappa decided the course of the match. As of now, it seems like the KKR is having the best batting line-up out of all the IPL franchises.
14867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 19, 2018, 06:46:31 AM
What are you even talking about? Mayank  has bowled wonderfully till now.

Which Mayank are you talking about? He conceded 42 runs (in 4 overs) against the Daredevils and didn't got a single wicket. I was talking about the MI vs DD match. But it is true that he performed well in the two previous matches.
14868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [IPL] Indian premier league picks on: April 19, 2018, 06:44:12 AM
I'd pick KXIP as well, primarily because of Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, and Ashwin. The match would be interesting though, Sunrisers Hyderabad does have some good batsmen as well like Williamson an Shakib, and they've not lost a single match in this tournament till now.

Surprising that you have listed out Yuvraj, Gayle and Ashwin as the best batsmen for KXIP. I would have given more importance to younger players such as Karun Nair, Lokesh Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. Rahul's strike rate is close to 200 so far this season.
14869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: April 19, 2018, 06:40:22 AM
Although 90% of the tokens are now based on ERC-20, there is no guarantee that this will continue in the long term future. Ethereum can be highly vulnerable against advanced technologies and new altcoins.
14870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much time do you spend on bounty campaigns? on: April 19, 2018, 06:36:40 AM
About 30 minutes a day. The maximum requirement I had from bounty campaign (I have participated only in signature bounties) was 20 posts per week. So there is no use in spending more than half an hour per day.
14871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coinmarketcap goes RED today. What are you doing? on: April 19, 2018, 06:34:19 AM
To whom it may concern according to coinmarketcap,  market is green again. Underlisted is for updates.
Bitcoin - $8202.71
Ethereum -$533.18
Ripple -$0.727
Bitcoincash -$885.19.

For your information it's doing great now

You are retarded or what? This post was made on March 2018. At that point, the prices were on the decline and all the major crypto-currencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple were in red.
14872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we heading for full recovery now? on: April 19, 2018, 06:32:47 AM
There've been some pumps and dumps, but somehow this last rise less than a week ago felt different to me. The prices went up about 20% without going down. The market seems to be surrounded by great news about serious companies talking about adopting blockchain. For now the situation is stable and if we gradually see the market going 20% up every week or two, it would be just right. What do you think? Is this low price nightmare close to being over? Do you still expect full recovery this summer?

I really doubt whether there will be a "full" recovery. That would mean the prices going up by almost 150% to the previous peak of $20,000. That is going to be difficult, as there is not much demand in the market.
14873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market is GREEN - Do you trust it on: April 19, 2018, 06:22:59 AM
I am still quite skeptical about the long term prospects. The demand is noway near what we had in 2017. The trade volumes are down and even the coverage in the mainstream media has declined a bit.
14874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 19, 2018, 06:20:15 AM
Talked to one of my friends yesterday. He had invested in LTC a few months back and got food returns from the investment. But two days back he converted his LTC to Ethereum.

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and open source software project released under the MIT/X11 license. Creation and transfer of coins is based on an open source cryptographic protocol and is not managed by any central authority. Litecoin is not yet dead and still fighting.

Remember kids, this is how shit posting to get merits looks like Wink

14875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favourite exchange? on: April 19, 2018, 06:16:19 AM
I am using Cryptopia a lot nowadays. They have reduced the Bitcoin withdrawal fee to just BTC0.0001, and a huge variety of altcoins and tokens are available for trading. On top of that, their security features and user-interface are also quite attractive.
14876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Altcoin? on: April 19, 2018, 06:14:39 AM
Of course, it is because we are optimistic about the project. Otherwise, what's the reason? It's hard to pick in so many coins, and once it's found, stick with it. Do not sell it lightly. You will regret your decision after a few years.

A lot of people hold altcoins because they hope that one day they will give huge returns like Bitcoin or Ethereum. I am sure that less than 20% of the holders know in detail about the development work that is going on in the background.
14877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 19, 2018, 06:12:10 AM
One wound have thought about waves giving ethereum serious competition. Waves naturally should have as much programmer and enthusiast user like Ethereum, unfortunately, that is not the case with waves.  May be in the future waves would be able to get the share of the smart contract market.

I had high hopes for Waves, but those were dashed. A few months back, Waves had a higher market cap when compared to Stellar Lumens. But look at the situation now... The XLM market cap is now almost 15 times higher than that of Waves.
14878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should now sell coin or not on: April 19, 2018, 06:09:50 AM
you guys give me an idea with me keeping my XLM free I'm puzzled Huh Huh Huh Huh

Stellar is one of the most promising altcoins right now. If everything goes as per the plan, then it can even give tough competition to the already established alts such as Ethereum... Oh.. Just noticed that XLM is having a market cap of almost $7 billion. In that case I'd rather classify it as one of the established altcoins.
14879  Other / Politics & Society / Re: In what world do you want to live? on: April 18, 2018, 12:37:37 PM
I want to live in the world has unified, full of peace, full of free-well,to live in other country without passport required, freedom to choose what you want in your life, and freedom to choose, not paying tax anymore, but my dream are still possible, because every country are still unified under the banner of humanity,

You will not get all of these qualities in one country. There are several countries which are peaceful. Examples are the Caribbean nations, small European nations such as Andorra and San Marino and island nations in the Pacific such as Nauru and Palau. If you don't want to pay any taxes, then you can opt for Bermuda or Bahamas.
14880  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you care if Billions of people need help? on: April 18, 2018, 12:33:32 PM
The problem is that very few of us have the opportunity to help such people. This should do richer states-assist to poor countries. And of course, in the states, rich people should help to poor children.

I know a lot of rich people who are averse to charity. Whenever I ask them, they say that they are giving as much as two-thirds of their income to the government in the form of direct and indirect taxes. So they ask me why they should part with even more of their earnings.
