14881  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your take on homosexuality? on: April 18, 2018, 12:30:11 PM
I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I desperately want to please Him and do His will. At the same time, I know that I am homosexual. I believe I was born this way and that nothing will ever change it. Does this mean that I'm condemned for eternity

OK... Since we have a homosexual here, I want to ask you a few questions.

1. Do you think that there is a need to take out gay-pride parades? What is the need, when no one is taking out heterosexual pride parades?
2. What is your opinion about the high prevalence of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among the gays?
3. Do you think that gay couples are faithful to each other?
4. Have you ever faced discrimination based on your sexual orientation?
5. Do you intend to have your own biological children?
14882  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the causes of climate change? on: April 18, 2018, 12:26:00 PM
It comes from the change in land use and water use and the increase in CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases from human activities.

The vast majority of the forest-land in the tropics are gone. In countries such as India and Indonesia, forests now represent less than one-third or one-fourth of the land area. And this proportion is going down on a constant basis despite preservation efforts. If you want to decrease the concentration of CO2, then something must be done to stop this rabid deforestation.
14883  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gender equality on: April 18, 2018, 11:05:22 AM
Honestly, women are more favored by our society because they are considered to be fragile and weaker than men. When it comes to jobs, employers and companies only hires men for hard and difficult jobs and mostly hire women for office works. However, there are women who excels in men's field and vice versa.

There are some fields out there, in which the females usually perform better than men. Women are usually preferred for jobs such as receptionists and personal assistants. Certain sectors such as fashion designing, child-care services, hospitality and teaching are heavily dominated by women.
14884  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever had the feeling that someone is controlling your life? on: April 18, 2018, 11:02:09 AM
This is pure rubbish. Our fate is on our own hands... Actually, there is nothing called "fate"... Your future well-being depends on your deeds.. and you will face the consequences of your actions, irrespective of the fact whether they are good or bad. So I disagree with the argument that someone controls our life. Our life is under our control.
14885  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your take on homosexuality? on: April 18, 2018, 10:52:07 AM
Respect begun to respect.

Giving respect to those who doesn't have any self-respect can be a bad idea. Homosexuals can be tolerated in the society, but I don't condone defining it as normal behavior. Homosexuality is a mental condition, which sometimes need treatment.
14886  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kill Syrians because Syrians are killing Syrians... on: April 18, 2018, 10:50:04 AM
Where's the logic of that?!  Huh
And what good can it do?!

None. Illogical. And many innocent people are dying because of it. It's senseless in every sense and i think the issue in syria needs to be a top priority for the un. It's apalling to think that governments seem to be turning a blind eye to what's happening that part of thr world

The UN can't do anything, because the member nations are divided over Syria. Basically, the Syrian civil war has snowballed in to a global Sunni vs Shiite conflict with other players also taking the sides. If the foreign powers pull out of Syria, then 90% of the problems will be resolved.
14887  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the causes of climate change? on: April 18, 2018, 10:47:20 AM
There are many reasons for climate change in which the first and foremost reason is to cut the trees freely, so to prevent climate change, plant cutting should be done and more trees should be planted.

If you really want to take action against climate change, then you need to prevent deforestation. More than 25 million acres of tropical forests are lost every year. Planting a few trees here and there will not make up for it.
14888  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIRGINITY before getting married on: April 18, 2018, 10:45:50 AM
Well , Of course this is very important , This is the best Gift you give to you husband in your honeymoon night Cheesy

This is the prove that you care your self and you sealed your virginity until the day it give to your husband .

Absolute rubbish. If I am the husband and I need to chose between a virgin girl with bad attitude and a good-natured girl who is not a virgin, then I'd chose the second option. Virginity is no longer important in today's world.
14889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Two Child Policy on: April 18, 2018, 10:43:09 AM
It might be suitable for some countries . But decision should be made my families. People should be free to decide kids.

I disagree. As long as there are enough resources for everyone, the families can make the decision. On the other hand, if there is a severe crunch of natural resources and available land (examples are Egypt, Bangladesh.etc), then it is the duty of the government to implement some sort of limit.
14890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bible downloads banned in China on: April 18, 2018, 10:41:40 AM
There is only one country in the world which has successfully managed to counter religious extremism, and that is China. They are doing the right thing. The preference should be given to native religions such as Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. Foreign religions such as Islam and Christianity should not be allowed to convert people in China.
14891  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can facebook change the way you vote ?. on: April 18, 2018, 10:39:16 AM
Facebook is a danger to the democracy, because it is extremely biased and rabidly left-wing. In turn, the enormous popularity of Facbook can have a major impact on the elections, by influencing the decision and preferences by the users. I am glad that I stopped using FB many years back.
14892  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trumps Approval Continues to Slowly Rise; The Narrative Against Him Has Failed on: April 18, 2018, 07:38:54 AM
From where did he got the data? As per the RealClearPolitics, his net approval is negative 12% (42% approving and 54% disapproving). Not even a single poll has shown him with a positive approval for the past few months. Even the latest one from the right-wing Rasmussen Reports have him in the negative.
14893  Other / Politics & Society / Re: benefits of meditation on: April 18, 2018, 07:15:51 AM
I have tried meditation in the past (as a part of the Yoga exercise). I practiced it for almost a month before giving up. I was forced to gave it up, because I couldn't find spare time. Even then I'd say that it helped me to calm and refresh my mind and body.
14894  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the Meaning of Sin? on: April 18, 2018, 07:14:04 AM
"Sin" is a myth invented by some religious nuts to scare the less intelligent people and to make them obey whatever they say. In the Semitic religions, almost everything related to sex is a sin, ranging from masturbation to watching porn. That is why the religious people commit so much rapes and molestation.
14895  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your take on homosexuality? on: April 18, 2018, 07:07:43 AM
It is completely okay and I support all of them as they have the right to decide.

No one will be having a problem if they are keeping it within themselves. But in reality that is not the case. Homosexuals are very vocal about their sexual orientation, and they frequently take out gay pride marches and cause inconvenience to a lot of people with their obscene displays. On top of that, in the United States almost 80% of the new HIV cases are detected among the gays.
14896  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: April 18, 2018, 07:04:56 AM
But we can not change the fact that this will be hard to accept in the Philippines knowing that Sexuality is classified only into two categories. the Male and Female.

As per the rules of nature and human biology, there are only two genders - male and female. Transgender is not a real gender, it is just some males pretending that they are female or vice-versa. I would call this as a mental disease rather than sexual orientation.

I would call belief in god a mental disease too but no one agrees with me. At the end of the day if they are not hurting anyone, does it really matter?

But they  are hurting for sure.

Transgenders are 100 times more likely to molest children, when compared to the general population. They are 200 times more likely to have HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Their criminality rates and probability of violence are also much higher. So you can't really say that they are not hurting anyone.
14897  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the causes of climate change? on: April 18, 2018, 04:11:00 AM
industry has been around for about 200 yrs...the constant change in the climate has been around since the beginning of the earth...for some reason, people these days seem to believe that the relative mixture of gasses in the atmosphere just prior to the industrial revolution is the way it should always remain...even thought it was only so for the blink of a geological eye...science is still young...and as such, it can be a bit haughty and pseudo-omnipotent at times

You are still trying to defend something which is indefensible. This planet has been in existence for over 5 billion years. Never before such a sharp change in the atmospheric composition has occurred in such a short duration (<50 years).
14898  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you care if Billions of people need help? on: April 18, 2018, 04:04:13 AM
I do care. I think it’s a shame. But, you can’t help everyone. If you want to help than by all means do so. But, I also think it’s the responsibility of the people in need to also help themselves.

I have made bold the most important part. We can only help those people who want to help themselves. Else, we will find ourselves in trouble later. Some people are very good in blame-game. They will accuse you even if your intentions were right.
14899  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHAT IS THE RATIONALE BEHIND AFRICAN LEADERS WANTING TO RULE FOREVER on: April 18, 2018, 03:57:52 AM
Almost all African countries have had leaders that ruled more than their stipulated term in office, why are Africans so power drunk and driven? I don't understand the psychology. Please help.

The average IQ level in Africa ranges from 60 to 80, which means that the people are not capable of living under a democratically elected government. Democracy only works if the people are intelligent enough to live under a democratic government. Else, military dictatorships suits them better.
14900  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what about alwaleed suing the bbc? and there are 2 saudis I would love to see di on: April 18, 2018, 03:35:50 AM
OK.. Let me explain these two incidents, one by one.

The first incident occurred in the United Kingdom. Ehsan Abdulaziz was in an "aroused" state and his penis was erect. He accidently tripped over an 18-year old British girl, and as a result his penis penetrated the girl's vagina. The court decided that the penetration was purely accidental and acquitted Mr. Ehsan Abdulaziz. Details here:

The second incident occurred in Beverly Hills, California. Price Majed Abdulaziz Al Saud was wrongly accused of raping three maids (i.e slaves). He was acquitted, as per the Saudi laws the owners are permitted to rape the slave-girls. Details here:

Any questions?
