14881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bill Gate against investing into bitcoin? on: May 31, 2018, 06:14:44 AM
Most rich people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are against investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general because of the huge risks due to heavy volatility. I'm very bullish on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but it's indeed a huge gamble. "Moon" and "lambo" gains aren't guaranteed. We're just pretty much speculating and hoping that it would indeed rise to very high prices.
14882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have mechanism to recover stolen or lost bitcoin? on: May 31, 2018, 05:56:47 AM
No, you cant recover lost or stolen bitcoin, and there's no mechanism to recover it.
But, if your bitcoin got stolen, then you still have a chance to track it. But, most of them are using mixing service to make it anonymous and hard to track or probably impossible to track.

True, you can definitely track it. But tracking it doesn't help though, it's pretty much just like adding insult to the injury.

To OP: If you get hacked, there's nothing you can do but just move on and learn from that big big mistake. Always make securing your wallets be a number 1 priority. Investing on good coins/tokens is irrelevant if your wallet is unsecure.
14883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have mechanism to recover stolen or lost bitcoin? on: May 31, 2018, 02:59:58 AM
Nope. There are no chargebacks on bitcoin, as confirmed transactions are final.

One advantage of bitcoin is to be your own bank, being completely cut-off through centralized entities like banks. But of course this also comes with a disadvantage: as bitcoin is decentralized, there is no sort of "official tech support" or a hotline you could call/contact to help you with your lost funds. Being your own bank, you need to also act like one. You need to take wallet security as a number 1 priority.
14884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Real Satoshi Nakamoto tells you how it is now - in Muppet form. ;) on: May 31, 2018, 02:55:16 AM
Nowadays many people claim to claim that they are satoshi, but I think what advantage they get with them claiming to be satoshi.
just because someone is calling himself "real" doesn't make them real. and you, by posting his links here are giving him an undeserved attention for his trolling. and guess what he is doing with that attention? he is advertising shitcoins and ICOs!!!

I mean, if you actually opened the twitter video link and actually watch even only at least 5 seconds of it, it's obviously a satire account/page.

satire or not, i only opened the page and looked at the rest of the tweets by that account and many of them are advertising shitcoins and ICOs in the name of Satoshi.

Well, I agree on the shilling ICOs and shitcoins part. Would have probably been a decent "for-fun" Twitter page if it wasn't for those shilling, unfortunately.

14886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need to catch up! on: May 30, 2018, 03:51:26 PM
Just take a look at coinmarketcap[1] and take a look at the new unfamiliar coins in the top 100, or go to the Announcements (Altcoins) subforum[2]. There's literally like new few coins and tokens every week.

Even though we warn them every single day, some people are simply hard-headed, still saving private keys on text files and word files like wtf. They want to learn the hard way I guess. Mods should sticky a topic about this certain topic. Not sure how much help it would do though.
14888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex acct verify on: May 29, 2018, 05:09:31 PM
What's up with them not allowing people from New York though? I'm pretty sure buying and selling BTC is legal in NYC(though not 100% sure). Is there a new law or ban or something concerning NYC? Yet another reason to not leave funds on exchanges.
14889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner of Trading on: May 29, 2018, 04:14:31 PM
But if there you will invest all (to 5-10 cryptocurrency after research and so on), you have big chance that in long way you can earn big gaiiiiins. And if you loose? You cant loose in cryptocurrency, it is only start, just hold it and buy house and car in 2-3 years. Thats it!

Sure. There's definitely a chance for earning "big gaiiiiins" if you invested a good amount in to certain cryptocurrencies. But don't spread misinformation like you cant "loose" in crypto. You definitely can lose. In fact, theoretically almost everyone of us can lose. Crypto has a chance to be a lot bigger in the future, sure. But don't be spreading information like the success of crypto is guaranteed, as it's definitely NOT.
14890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best wallet for bitcoin and eth? on: May 29, 2018, 03:56:45 PM
Hi guys!
Can you please give me suggestion for best wallet where I can store my eth and btc safely?

I think coinbase is the best wallet where you can store your eth and btc safely.

Definitely not the best idea. Only use Coinbase for buying and selling crypto for Fiat.

Probably hire the right people for that specific purpose(Ads, SEO, PR, etc).

Also, probably post your project on the Announcements (Altcoins) and the Altcoin Discussion subforum.

As always, hardware wallets should be best in terms of security. And yes, they're both good and pretty easy to use for BTC and ETH.

14893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Token and Coin on: May 29, 2018, 06:17:29 AM
To summarize both:
  • Coin: a cryptocurrency with it's own blockchain
  • Token: a cryptocurrency that resides on top of another blockchain(e.g. Ethereum ERC20 tokens)

14894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to buy btc with paypal or visa on: May 29, 2018, 02:29:33 AM
Some sites you can buy bitcoin with paypal:

Virwox: https://virwox.com/
LocalBitcoins: https://localbitcoins.com/
Wirex: https://wirex.com/

Take note that this is easily easily Google-able. Try doing research first before asking next time.

i know this this i mean some one try this them before i dont wnat to be scammed

Those sites are reputable so chances are you wouldn't get scammed. On LocalBitcoins though, it depends on who you are transacting with. Transact with people with high reputation only.

14896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newest ICO Scam list on: May 29, 2018, 01:59:07 AM
There are too much scam ICOs for everything to actually be listed. Try doing your own research on the ICO projects instead and decide for yourself. Though some scam ICOs even have well written whitepapers so investing in ICOs are really risky, hence I really don't recommend investing in one.

14897  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DIE !!! on: May 28, 2018, 04:15:14 PM
That clickbait topic though.

Also, bitcoin doesn't care about price. Whether bitcoin is priced at $20k, $50k, $5k, 1k, or even as low as $5, it doesn't care. Bitcoin's technology will always be there, regardless of price(though mining hashrate will probably be significantly lower, but still. My point still stands).

DataDash(YouTuber) made a video about this exact topic a few days ago. Take a look at it. Video is really really well done.

The amount of people here in the cryptocurrency space that wants to invest but isn't willing to do research baffles me to be honest.
