1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 02, 2023, 11:34:06 AM
let's compare, in the transfer market last winter. every major club, resisted the urge to shop for their coveted player. because, they want to make sure which players will be retained and which players suit the needs of the team. then, they will be looking for the ideal player in the transfer window next summer.

Let's see what Todd Boehly does. he did something the big clubs never do. in fact, Liverpool only brought in 1 player, namely Gakpo. whereas, this team is both in trouble like Chelsea. we'll see, from some of the players he brought in in the transfer market last winter. there is only 1 player who can really adapt well, namely, Enzo Fernandez.  the rest, everything is in shambles.  one more thing, Todd Boehly brought in a winger from Shakhtar Donetsk with a dowry of 100 million euros. but in fact, he did not show a slick performance. in fact, tends to be a reserve player. so, it was clear that this mistake was not Potter's will. but Todd's fault as Chelsea's big boss, as well as a technical director whose capacity is very doubtful.
Now Chelsea's position is ranked 12th. so, don't expect them to finish in the top 4 of the standings. because, it seems almost impossible with only 6 matches left. the point is, Todd Boehly must choose a coach who can really bring Chelsea in a better direction next season.

Before I will blame anybody for Chelsea's suffering, I'd first blame Boehly. I don't know how he understands football but he was moving like a clueless man. He was going for every available player. Anybody who has good football knowledge will know that Chelsea was going to fail. He bought a lot of high risk players because most of the players he bought were potential player, no real world class or established players. You can't buy that amount of potential players all at once. It's a certainty that they won't all develop well together.
Rebuilding takes time. You can't rebuild a team in just one season. And he still didn't learn his lesson, he went ahead to hire Lampard. And now he's thinking of Pochettino. I'm sorry to say, but Chelsea are in a whole lot of trouble.

I think Arsenal still have a chance to win the EPL this season even though it's very small considering Manchester City is so powerful this season, I remember when Arsenal had a wide point difference with Manchester City at that time it was 8 points away. But arsenal couldn't take advantage of that as well as possible which resulted in Manchester City being able to shift their ranking.

If able to beat Chelsea, there is a possibility for Arsenal to be able to compete until the end of the competition with Manchester City in the race for the title. But the city is at the forefront at this time in winning the EPL trophy.

I don't see the chance Arsenal has to be honest. They blew their chance. Now they just have to hope on Man City to lose or draw two matches at least. Man City ain't dropping any more point till the season ends, but that is not thee issue. The question is, will Arsenal win the rest of their matches if Man City slips up?
It looks very unlikely. I believe they will win Chelsea tomorrow because Chelsea are beyond horrible but after that they play Newcastle. Except Arsenal sits up, I don't think they will be able to win Newcastle with this current form of theirs.
The league belongs to Man City. They don't mess up opportunities like this. They almost did last season but they somehow managed a comeback against Aston Villa in the last game of the season.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 01, 2023, 08:28:14 PM
Did anyone of you watch the Sevilla vs Girona match?
I think it's an interesting match even though both are mid-table sides this season. Sevilla, who are unbeaten in their last 5 matches, had to loss by Girona 0-1 in the first half, but Sevilla completely dominated this match.

Sevilla is hoping for a win to boost their confidence as La Liga is not the only competition they have played in so far. Keeping in good form is expected as Sevilla are still in the Europa League so I think they will have to find a way to break down the Girona defense during the second half.

Its 2-0 for Girona already. The man who buried Real Madrid, Castellanos scored again, taking his goal tally to 12 goals in the league this season
Sevilla is throwing away an opportunity to climb to the top half of the table. If they win todays game, they will be 8th on the table. A win would have given them 44 points and they would have gone past Rayo, Osasuna, Girona. They would have been only 3 points behind Bilboa.
But I guess that's not going to happen because I don't think they can do a comeback I this match even if they're currently pressing. Girona is a decent team and they're not going to fumble this lead.

Juventus didn't take advantage of the opportunity, even though Allegri had said he would not let Inter Milan enter the Champions League zone this season, but this match the Juventus players wasted points. I think Juventus need to find a sharp centre-forward and a midfielder with a lot of skill and agile wings, only Di Maria has to defend. With the draw in the match against Bologna, Juventus has made the competition in the UCL zone even hotter and tougher. The difference between the second and seventh ranks is only 6 points.
2. Lazio 61
3. Juve 60
4. Inter 57
5. Milan 57
6. Romans 57
7. Atalanta 55

Juventus threw up an opportunity to overtake Lazio in second position. After Lazio lost to Inter, I thought Juventus will seize the opportunity to go second by winning Bologna but they didn't.
I don't think Lazio and Juventus are in any danger of losing out of the champions league spot. The trouble is on Inter, Milan, Roma and Atlanta. None of these teams is consistent enough to own the 4th position.
There is strong competition between these teams this season. Four team will be fighting for one spot and its going to get more interesting in these remaining game weeks of the season.

I see man city every year is a team that has great potential to become a UCL champion (same as PSG) because I see their squad is almost perfect but they are like a curse, especially if they play in the semifinals or finals, they always fail to win

against madrid who is always the King in the UCL is not an easy matter, Madrid is an extraordinary team, especially when they make an epic comeback

Its true that Man City are always very good every season but somehow they never win it. They've been very unlucky in the champions league. The year they lost the final to Chelsea was understandable because it was their first final. I don't think any team in modern day football has won the final in the first time they're playing in it.

Madrid is the biggest team in the champions league but I'm certain Man City will be the winner of this particular tie and if Man City survives Madrid they will win anybody they play in the final between Inter Milan and AC Milan.

PSG fans said the best goal that has ever made by mbappe.  Grin glad to see that lorient was taking what they deserved. They deserve win against PSG. PSG played so badly against lorient. Mbappe was again making spectaculer goal against lorient.

Lorient didn't wanna try to miss golden opportunity by beating PSG with huge score like this. Losing at home is a very embarrassing result for PSG.
PSG has so many stars but these stars are pretty much the same like average players.

PSG is elite squad with zero result. It's lucky enough to be at the number one in league 1. League is not as competitive as another league.
It will be different if PSG was on the spanish league, english league or italian.

I disagree that PSG have elite stars. Their attack is elite, but that's just about it. There's nothing elite about their midfield. The only elite player they have in midfield is Verratti and he gets injured a lot.
The rest of the midfield is a bunch of average and slightly above average players.
Their defense should be doing well, but I have this theory in football that if the midfield is poor, the defense will most definitely suffer.
Added to the fact that PSG don't have an elite coach. Or he's an elite coach but his tactics is not just working at PSG. PSG should get a better coach try to reinforce their squad if they want to compete next season.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 30, 2023, 12:56:09 PM
Inter are currently winning with a 2 : 1 scoreline after making a comeback  in the game and from the way they're playing, winning the match is an inevitable. If Inter wins the match they're gonna tie with AC Milan and Roma on 57 points but are gonna be in the position because of their superior goal difference.
What an interesting and entertaining end to the Serie A season it gonna be as the four clubs are gonna fight for who finishes in the no. four position.

Juventus may be the biggest winners from the Lazio loss. Lazio is currently two points higher than Juventus, if Juventus wins against Bologna later today then Juventus will overtake Lazio in the second position.
Few weeks ago I thought Lazio has cemented their place on the second position but now they are about knocked down by a team that everybody thought would be struggling for the Europa league by now.  This is the drama of the Serie A this season. I always knew it was going to be interesting to see how the Serie A ends, adding Juventus to the mix just makes things more interesting.

I've looked at the both formations for both teams and I can tell you that we are in for an engaging match between Fulham and Manchester city.
Looking at the formation for Fulham side 4231 as against city's  3241, Fulham came up with a tactical defence and attack formation while city looks more like an attacking team with  more on the midfield. This shows that Fulham is ready to defend and also give some level of attack,The city team is topnotch no doubt but Fulham might just pull up a surprise as an underdog.

Based on my football knowledge I can say that the best way to play Manchester City and win is to be a little bit defensive and pick your moments to attack. If as a team you come out to play Man City, as in attack City they way City attacks you, you will lose. No team right now can cope with that.
I'm not saying you should play a full time defense, but you should be very cautious of your defense. Always have an extra man or two at the back, don't lose concentration for even a moment.
Peps team thrives when the opposing team comes out and play, thereby leaves spaces in behind, especially in the form Man City is right now.

Nevertheless, no matter how Fulham set up today, they will still lose. Man City are not dropping points to anybody anymore in the league till the end of the season. They really want this league and with the way they play, they will get it.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2023, 12:19:30 PM
Bayern munich has been inconsistent in the bundesliga this season, they are still close to the top of the table and if they beat Hertha Berlin today they will take the first position from Dortmund. The bundesliga is not so competitive, because even if Bayern munich do not play well they can still win the bundesliga title, and if they win it this season, Dortmund should know that they have let their fans down because this season was a good opportunity for them to win the title from Bayern munich after many years of them winning it.

I have always said this about Dortmund. They can never be relied on. Even before their draw to Bochum, I always knew they will slip up and let Bayern take the lead. All Bayern needs to do now is win all their remaining matches and they have won the league.
You said Bayern have been inconsistent in the league this season and that's true, but still Dortmund could not make use of the opportunity. I have been saying this all season long. I am rooting for them but I just find it hard to trust them. They were in a position that all they had to do was win five matches and the league is theirs but they are about to bottle it. Now they will just have to hope Bayern slips up.

Even wolves coach looks so confused the approach to the game was full of mistakes
Is it not a good thing to see Brighton taken good use of those chances yes that's what they should do sckre enough goals to make wolves difficult to attack for goals.
Brighton has a good way from building from the back to midfielder's plenty of confidence have been seen

I didn't watch the first half of the match. I wasn't planning on watching the match but when I saw the first half score line I got very curious. I wasn't expecting anything like this. Wolves couldn't even score a single goal after conceding six goals.
That was a very terrible performance from Wolves. Wolves have not been in a pleasant form this season but this is a different level of bad.

Aside the fact that Wolves were horrible, Brighton were very impressive. They just kept pressing and pressing and creating more chances. Lets see if they can make it to the Europa league next season.

Considering those factors like having issues with players and losing important matches when ain is expected, no one will say that sacking Naggelsman was a bad decision if Tuchel was doing well in the German Bundesliga. No body was expecting things to be like this with Bayern Munich under the management of Thomas Tuchel. Some seasons are like that, u don't expect things to speedily go well with him the way it happens when he arrived at chelsea. Tuchel will do well when give time and moreover, I still see Nayern as a favourable side to win the Bundesliga this season.

Sacking Naggelsman was a mistake, hiring Tuchel was also a mistake.
If they really had to sack Neggelsman they should have at least waited till the end of the season. it wasn't right firing him in the middle of the season when he has managed to take Bayern out of a rough patch. Bayern thought they would replicate the Hansi Flick's performance when they hired Neggelsman but that was not the case, but that doesn't mean he was a bad manager.
I don't claim to know more than the club's management but I know Tuchel won't do better than Neggelsman at Bayern Munich. He might even be fired next season.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 27, 2023, 08:45:03 PM
This is the match between the two top European teams at the moment and it is very difficult to predict, I don't think the home or away matches have much effect on them but the performance will decide everything.
Currently, Manchester City's performance is quite stable in their domestic league and this is inversely proportional to Real Madrid, which often plays poorly in La Liga matches, although that cannot be a reference, but it is possible for teams who are consistent will have better confidence when they know their opponents. currently facing a downward trend.

I think whatever it is this match will be very exciting and fierce, everything will happen whether it's in the first leg or in the second leg.

I know how Madrid can be in the champions league but I got the feeling the Man City vs Real Madrid tie will turn out quite like the Man City and Bayern Munich tie.
I feel Man City will progress through and it might not be as difficult as we all imagine. Its difficult for people to bet against Madrid because of their history in the Champions league but I believe history won't have a role to play this time around. As a matte of fact, I believe Man City will create history this time around as they will go ahead to win not only the champions league but the treble because they will win the FA cup and league too.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 27, 2023, 01:42:15 PM
I don't know why you're surprised Arsenal lost this away game against Man City... They couldn't win three games in a row, two of which they definitely should have won... That's a very poor result for the leader of the standings... Man City had no problem punishing Arsenal for those mistakes... Now there is no doubt that Arsenal will not finish the season in first place...

Arsenal really messed up.
After drawing three games in a row it became pretty obvious they have lost the league because there is no way they can win Man City at the Etihad. And even if they managed to win Man City last night, there is no way they could have won all the remaining matches of the season.
Man City are in their typical form again, and when they are in that form, nothing stops them. Pep knows how to dominate games and win. He knows how to rotate his players so the don't get fatigued, and he has the squad depth for that. Arsenal on the other hand are getting fatigued and injured towards the end of the season.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 26, 2023, 09:03:44 PM
It wasn't a tough day for Atletico Madrid. Despite getting 1-0 behind they won 3-1 by a comeback. Maybe they lost to Barcelona last week but they didn't let this loss lose their concentration on the league. The league is all they have left for this season in the end so they want to finish the season at the best spot they can at least. Real Madrid looked like they have given up the rest of the matches already.
I'm so angry right now. I'm angry at myself, angry at Atletico, angry at Barcelona.
I placed a bet on Atletico and Barcelona to keep a clean sheet but both of them failed to keep clean sheets  Sad
Lets see if Barcelona can turn it around the way Atletico did or they would lose. The are playing well but the issue they have is that they don't shoot. They have had a few chances where they could have score if they had taken a shot.
Winning this math will take Barcelona to 15 points ahead of Madrid and I think they would love that.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 26, 2023, 08:46:56 PM
I think it is clearly the end for Arsenal, 2 goals to nothing already, in favor or Manchester city, it is really a big disappointment, but still, I would a congratulations to them(Arsenal) for making it to the second place at atleast, they really deceived several people into believing they could win the title this season, only to drop in the last minute of the game, not happy at all...
Arsenal have pretty much lost the league. Its 3-0 now and theres nothing more they can do.
They did not lose the league because they lost this match to Man City, they lost this league title when they had three consecutive draws in the league. A team fighting for the league can't afford that luxury, especially when you have Pep's team on your tail.

Currently watching Chelsea vs Brentford, 2.0, 2 to Brentford, 0 to Chelsea..
Chelsea needs 😣 help.
Chelsea needs serious help. Lol.
Whoever feels its a good idea to hire Lampard needs serious help. Chelsea hasn't won ant single match since Lampard came on board. I knew he would be bad but I never expected him to be this bad. Lampard is so bad its laughable at this point. And here I was thinking he's slightly better than Lampard.

We all know the branch the Elephant is hanging onto can't support its weight, and the time for the elephant to come down has arrived!

This is just rival fan talking. We know Arsenal are experiencing a decline in form and it looks impossible for Arsenal to win Man City tonight but we can't deny the work they have put in to get to this point. If it was easy every other team in the league would have done it. Arsenal have been very impressive this season, you have to give them that.
Saying there's no way on earth Arsenal defeats Man City today is just saying "nothing spectacular happens in football".
We've seen more bigger odds win against Man City when they needed the win the most. Yea, Man City are the favorites of todays game but Arsenal stands a chance, a very, very slim chance, but its a chance.

Gambling and investing have similarities in the sense that that both involve risk and they also involve money but they are in no way the same.
You need luck at all times to win a gamble. No matter how good you are and how much you analyze a particular sport to bet on, if you are unlucky you wont be winning shit.
In Investment, luck can play a role but it plays a very minimal role. If you do all you are suppose to do in an investment then there is a very high probability that your investment will yield profit.
It even gets better win an investment like Bitcoin. All you need do is to be patient, there is not single gamble in this world that doesn't require luck for you to win.

People who equate Bitcoin investment to gambling have no idea what Bitcoin is, they just listen to the hearsays about bitcoin without taking the time to find out what it actually is.

After the excellent campaign that Benfica had been doing in the championship, and having been 10 points ahead, few expected such an exciting end to the season. With only 5 games left for the end of the season, we have 3 teams capable of being champions: Benfica, Porto and Braga. It will be quite interesting how this final phase of the season will go.

Benfica would still be the winners of the league. They lost two games in a row against Porto and against Chaves but I feel they have shaken off those defeat and are now on the winning path.  Braga and Sporting CP are among the final five games they have to play before the season ends and those are the only games that might be a problem for them. The other three teams they have to play are teams that wont necessarily be a problem to them.
It would be really painful for Benfica if they somehow lose out on the league title after having so much points ahead of the other teams this season.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 25, 2023, 04:36:14 PM
And yes, now Marseille has regained second place in the Ligue1 standings, although this position is not completely safe for Marseille because Marseille's number of points is still very close to Lens, who is in third place.

Even though I'm rooting for Lens to take back the second position, I'm beginning to think it wont happen. I love watching Lens this season. I enjoy how they play. I would really like them to finish the season on second position but looking at the final six games that both Lens and Marseille have, Lens have the tougher fixtures.
Lens play Toulouse next and I expect them to win that game, after that they face Marseille. That game might be the decider. Whoever wins that game might get to hold on to the second position till the end of the league season.
I hope Lens wins because they will be playing at home.
