1502  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin for “Fake Rich”? on: December 20, 2020, 10:15:21 PM
I'm not sure hwerd you're getting your ideas from, but a lot of people here will agree with me that bitcoin is for the people. Not exclusively for the rich, the poor, or the fake rich as you are trying to put it. Same goes with "status symbols" that you and the society implemented on to us. So what if we want an iphone? Is it not great to have a piece of tech? So what if you can afford these things and have a sedentary lifestyle? You are on your own in this world, hating on everyone won't do you good.

Besides, bitcoin is there to help these people to gain profits, not to show off that they can afford these things, why would you persecute someone who just wants to earn in a way he know? Truly ridiculous.
iPhone, Tesla, BMW, etc ,,, are physical forms that can be seen and displayed to others, while bitcoin is just a code of numbers and letters that we never know who owns it unless they have their private key.
if I may choose it is better to be plain than rich.
This life must be realistic, don't be too pushy if you can't, use what is available according to your ability.
Everything is made up of code really if you think about it. Even you yourself is made up of biological codes so I don't see where the discrimination is coming from. Though if you are content with having a simple lifestyle, we can't really blame you. But don't rub it to other people's faces because we have ambitions to fulfill, and unlike you, it cannot be simply satiated by a simple lifestyle where you cut off wood, build a campfire, play a banjo in the middle of nowhere and you're good to go. Some of us are sick and tired of being poor, which they were able to get out of thanks to things like bitcoin for instance. I'm not saying bitcoin is a get rich scheme. But it is a great help for people who are either:
* starting to learn how to trade/code
* people who knew they weren't cut for the regular 9-5 jobs because of circumstances.

So curb your dreams on your own, don't rub it on us.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: December 20, 2020, 09:36:43 PM
How the hell isyour government even able to get a hold of your private assets? Like, this is eally brutal man. You working your ass off to reach a certain quota yet here they are taking everything like they are gsngsters in a dark alley. This not only would put a bad image in Cyprus's Name but in the whole EU and how they manage things. Most people hold them in high regard and then news like these pop out of nowhere.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: December 20, 2020, 09:06:37 PM
In my honest opinion, betting platforms are very much like your regular lotteries actually. But instead of random numbers, you bet on something else, in fantasy draft, it's players, in races, it's the contestants. So basically, it's much like lottery, only that you know a bit on who to bet and who to avoid based on their known statistics.
If you check the motivation of most of gambler they want results right away, they want to know if it's their lucky day or night, these prediction platforms are good for sport prediction, because you will not get bored waiting because there are many news coming that can make gamblers excited as they are waiting for the day of the match.
Still, there is a margin of hours you'll need to wait until the game is over. In fantasy drafts this is much common because just like regular games, fantasy games have their own schedule. You kind of appeal to only a small percentage of bettors here who couldn't wait to bank out their winnings.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major differences between Bitcoin rally 2017 and 2020 on: December 20, 2020, 09:44:17 AM
One striking difference is how subtle this ATH passed compared to the 2017 one where it literally broke the internet and caused a huge surge of people investing and dumping. This may also have become the reason why the ATH has been able to drag on until now that it reaches 24k. Additionally, unlike the 2017 ATH where the fomo started a bit early, we can expect the fomo and the dump to start mid January or early february.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: David Rosenber: Bitcoin is in a 'massive bubble' on: December 20, 2020, 04:21:23 AM
That's because one does not need to know all the twists and turns of this project in order to learn and be efficient in it. Unlike his conventional assets that require you to have the brains and the money, bitcoin doesn't, which makes it easily accesible to people. Either he's really salty about bitciin reaching new heights or he himself would want to buy btc cheap.
Bitcoin, most especially its technical aspects, is not the forte of economists. Yes, Bitcoin would somehow disrupt the current economic system but it doesn't make it a subject which automatically falls under the science of economics. I'm afraid the likes of Rosenberg have too little information or understanding of Bitcoin as far as its real deal is concerned that they couldn't provide a relevant argument against Bitcoin.

Speaking of "a classic, follow-the-herd" approach, it is the very thing that Rosenberg is doing in criticizing Bitcoin. His criticism is basically grounded on what he doesn't know.
People should do their own research in this day and age because not even the 'experts' themselves have the time to fact-checj their claims. This is not to compare with healthcare and vaccines altogether obviously, but people should stop believing everything they see on the internet. Including this Rosenberg guy.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin This year & Next year. on: December 20, 2020, 03:05:35 AM
I'm not so sure bitcoin will be able to support this price for so long. Perhaps before this year ends like that of the 2017, where price plunged to 10-13k-ish and stayed there for a good long time. As for this year's case however, it would be improbable for bitcoin to drop within these prices but it is not unlikely, certain parameters may still cause bitcoin to plummet to this values. I'd say bitcoin will correct itself in the prices of within 15-17k-ish a piece.
This is possible from happening. I know that most of us here are looking at the chart positively but we should accept the fact that the price is so volatile that to our surprise the price is so low. But  you should not fret from investing and trading bitcoin. It is true that it will fall, but remember that it could still rose the same as that year and get to the place where we are right now, only at that time, it would be higher.
This has always been the case for bitcoin ever since it came to be. It will reach an ATH, then fall down, then rise again years later. It's almost like a ritual that all veteran investors have been accustomed about due to years of experiencing this. So it's no surprise that unlike the 2017 ATH, this one's not that hyped up, adoption grew, more people became intelligent and hodled. Numerous factors really.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: December 20, 2020, 02:48:17 AM
Nope. Never had been. It's either just someine who claims to be Satoshi for fame and money or someone who claimsn he is Satoshi-kun but cannot prove it otherwise. And the weird thing about it is that tuey pop up everytime there is a bullrun. So I had lost faith that Satoshi will ever show up, after all that's what he had gone for years ago when he created bitcoin. Long as his project is up and running, I will support it.
I believe he still working on many projects, and he was too busy to reveal himself. It's not worth with his time, and we should understand and respect what he wants. I am sure he will stay at his walls, he will not tell other people even his family that he is the founder of bitcoin, and he has a lot of bitcoin in his wallet.

Besides that, I don't believe that if Satoshi is only one person, because if he is one person, then he has a very high-skills person who can know many things and learn many things. And that means he is a very genius person that we knew. So let him hide for some time, and we don't have to search on where he lives, and who is he.
Lots of speculations about who he really is, but no one really had the chance of meeting him. Let's just keep it that way, as he intended to keep himself from the busy and chaotic world of the internet.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sites offer FREE Plays, FREE Spins, Free Bets - Lets make a list on: December 19, 2020, 09:09:44 PM
Most sites I know offer the freebies as a bonus once you deposited the coins to your betting account. So I'm not so sure if it counts as something that can be put in this list. That being said, I do know riobet, which is, surprisingly not a ripoff of roobet unlike what most people thought about when it was still in its early releases, fortunejack offers it too and most of the time on a daily basis, although I wouldn't really count on those free spins as the betting site more often than not have set parameters to block you from winning the highest price on the wheel.
Great suggestions guys, I am working on a new site that will list such offers and Im thinking how I can make it useful for eveyone.
Let me know if you have any more suggestions.

So where is the list? Its been a week and there are some suggestion/recommendation already but I do not see any list so far. Are you creating a separate thread for the list or creating a specific website/blog for it? It would be very nice if you can compile it all at once in this forum.
You might wanna wait since it's not easy creating a dedicated site nowadays. Especially when you realize the fact that not everything is for free anymore, so it's better to just wait for it.

1511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful at this BITCOIN price point on: December 18, 2020, 11:43:34 PM
I have bad news for people who have been very hopeful in the promise of PayPal integrating cryptocurrency in their banking, what they're actually doing is buying you a bitcoin that you can't trade with other cryptocurrencies, so you have a sitting duck there waiting for another bull run because it's only good for hodling. Unfortunately I was blinded by the hype and the fact that its owner is really big when he talks about crypto and bitcoin, if they don't change this it's going to be a big prob because most newbies will definiteky buy bitcoins using paypal and wouldn't be able to make the most out of this investment unlike us who get to enjoy this ATH in all its glory.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: genius idea to fix all economy best idea on: December 18, 2020, 11:19:03 PM
It's not gonna solve economic problems, in fact it will worsen it. You can't just print out money out of a whim, there are guidelines and requirements need to be met in order to ensure that the money's value is kept at a balance. If you can't realize that, maybe try listening more to your economics class. That helps a lot in making sure you understand the basics of how this world works now.
Are you crazy OP?
Do you even know what you're talking about? Giving away money for free? Donations are good but giving away money like this will increase nothing but laziness in the ones who work hard to earn their living as well as it can also blow air to terrorism, jealousy, hate, because people will then start to steal other's money as you know, humans are hungry more for money rather than for food.
Stagnation is nigh in this tyoe of world he's making it to be. If not stagnation, it's going to be saturation that will kill everyone off. Everyone working for the same type of job will be so meaningless and stupid.
1513  Economy / Economics / Re: biden goverment have 2 ways to go fed printing money ways on: December 18, 2020, 10:52:11 PM
I don't see how this should be the case, printing more money won't make up for inflation, it actually worsens it, so I don't see why you should print more, and as far as I know Trump already printed too much money during his stay to stop recession caused by the pandemic. There is a sweet spot in the mjddle that when kept will ensure a delicate balance between the two, thst is what they should focus on.
"The Congressional Budget Office predicts that the budget deficit will be $ 3.3 trillion by the end of this fiscal year. Thus, the US budget deficit will become "the largest since 1945", equal to 16.0% of GDP. In fiscal 2019, the budget deficit was $ 984 billion."
https://tass.ru/ekonomika/9405153
The American government is spending a lot of money. The economy cannot earn that much.
Therefore, more dollars will be printed every year, which will finally undermine the credibility of this currency.
Therefore, a new question about a new world currency will soon arise.
And its not like they want yhis to happen anyway, the pandemic severely struck the country's economy and it may take a long time for it to recover, and knowing the fact that a lot of countries depend on the USD's value, this is going to cause some serious problems.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: December 18, 2020, 10:22:20 PM
It's already hard winning without any tricks alone in the gambling industry, we have to make sure we're not taken advantage of by these Casinos or Sportbooks. Especially now that bitcoin had reached 20k, a lot of these scams and gambling sites will go bananas in getting more people to use their services. Be mindful and make sure you don't bet your way into hell.
Gambling is indeed a high risk if we can not choose which gambling sites are reliable. OP’s advice and experience, good for us to consider,
because the gambling sites that OP has written here, are a list of sites to avoid. Not that these sites are fraudsters. That’s what OP means.
If we read the thread to the end.
This is the best reference, as I also don’t do this much analysis for any gambling site. But this will help if when we want to play gambling
in a lot of gambling. And we better not use the services of gambling sites listed in this thread.
You have a good selection of gambling sites where people should not register.
However, I found a slight inaccuracy:

5. 1xbet Many Scam Accussations, Negative feedback, locking users funds

After following the links you provided, I saw that the name of the gambling site is slightly different. It should be written correctly as: 1XBIT
If this site has several names, it seems to me that you should specify them all.
If he coukd put up a link instead to these sites, even if they were taken down by their owners it would be much better, this way even if he makes a slight incorrection, SEO will take care of it and would route him to the site to be avoided. Nonetheless, the list is already comprehensive in and of itself but due to the bitcoin season, we may see this list get longer from time to time as new scam and shitty gambling sites arise from thin air.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to cheat with Bitcoin! be careful on: December 18, 2020, 09:35:59 PM
This is to be expected considering bitcoin just reaching the 20k mark. A lot of scammers will try to take advantage of weak-minded people who wanna get in to the cryptocurrency market. Now these scammers are as anonymous aa can be, so we can't really know for sure which of them is which, so it is our obligation to ourselves to ensure that we don't get victimized by these scammers.
In the limitations of BTC,  scamming is one of the enormous limitations of BTC. Authority should take a more powerful step to stop this. But scammers are updating their approach to scamming. So people have to know about their work and they should take more security when they buy and sell BTC.
It is too far to be an impacting limitation as it doesn't correlate to bitcoin that much. Authorities will do steps to apprehend these criminals if they can which they cannot by the way, and so we should take it upon ourselves to keep our investments safe.
1516  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 18, 2020, 04:08:47 AM
If you're trying to spread antivaxx propaganda in this forum then keep dreaming buddy. Your common sense already would defeat your argument in and of itself without the need for rebuttals and all. WHY WOULD YOU BUY VACCINES FROM AN UNREPUTABLE SOURCE?
It just does not add up, and it doesn't make sense for world governments and healtg departments to buy vaccines that have not passed their screening and clinical trials, so I'm not sure where you are pulling this argument out of.
Buying vaccines through unauthorised dealers will put yourself in danger. Who would dare to inject themselves with vaccines came from nowhere? Why need to rush to get injected with these vaccines? If the vaccines will start to inoculate I’d rather wait for few months before taking it, because we can’t a 100% sure even if it came from legit source if its safe.
Exactly, from the sound of it, these guys are just spreading propaganda to spread fear among people regarding vaccines and vaccinating themselves in general. It's not only stupid and weird but it is also dangerous as you're risking the health of everyone around you for not vaccinating yourself.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: December 18, 2020, 03:23:30 AM
Everytime there will be an online game where you can play against other people, sooner or later you're bound to encounter a betting site that sets a tournament for that particular game, now moat of the time it is in the form of a fantasy draft but in the case of these three sites he showed us I'd say, it's pretty novel the odds are completely based on your skills basically and it is a prize pool typr just like lotteries.
I am familiar with CS:GO so I guess they are not that far from each other but aside from 5v5 feature, what are the features that we can say a good advantage of VALORANT compare to CS:GO as they will not become popular if they are just a copycat of CS:GO as CS:GO already has plenty of users and was around for a decent amount of years already.

If they can bring something that can hype their game to get the attention of the gamers then the gamblers will surely to follow as many casino owners will surely to add the game if it is getting popular as days passes by. I've seen an agent feature in their site but I wonder if how it will create an impact to the players.
Valorant has some defining features that sets it from the rest of the FPS titles we knew and loved. Let me list you some of them.
1. Character Abilities, the characters you pick each have 3 regular skills and an ultimate ability that you will use to tip the scales of the game in your favor.
2. Since there are abilities, there will be classes for each "Agent" as what they are called in the game. Duelists, Blockers, Bastions (Healer and zone securers) etc.
3. More and more characters are released every season which spices the meta and the whole game itself up.
4. You don't get to choose the map. This may sound bad at first but you'll find the map rotation more enjoyable compared to playing 600 games of dust_2 on CS:GO
1518  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden Explores Moving to a Digital Currency on: December 16, 2020, 11:29:23 PM
This is bound to happen, surely someone somewhere will see a potential on cryptocurrency and will do their best to emulate its success. Now the thing here is it may nlt hugely affect bitcoin and other preexisting cryptocurrency on the market, especially the decentralized ones. Because of course, they do not have anything to do with these since their reach is worldwide.
That's nice to hear such news like a certain country who manage to look at cryptocurrency as a potential to be used as a digital currency. Well a lot of good things happened in cryptocurrency this 2020 let's hope that this will continue next year.
cryptocurrency industry that is, draw a line of distinction. Good news for Sweden might not mean good news immediately for cryptocurrency, and they are just running a feasibility test, they're trying to check its viability, if all goes well, then we got ourselves a new centralized cryptocurrency first of its kind to be regulated by a gpvernment. If it fails then it's a step towards the future of money.
1519  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 16, 2020, 11:12:00 PM
Hi, here in this forum, we can never emphasize enough how important the peace of mind of being debt-free is. And if you are downplaying that, because you have ways to earn money anyway, then I have bad news for yiu. Investing is much like gambling, only it is more legal, and you're shown the ways and the cards all at once. And you wouldn't file a loan just to gamble right?
Loans are cheap in my country too... but BTC is breaking records! Loan is just one of the ways for getting some cash (for buying BTC), but is it a good time for buying!?
I can be only honest here, I didn't believe we will see 20k this year! I thought 16-17 was top, but we went to 19k, I thought ok this is the top, and look what's happening now!?
BTC is over $20.5k! So where are we going from here?! To expect to rise even higher, or we will see some drop!?
It is a good time to buy but it is never a good time to file a loan to buy. It is important that you make that clear distinction between the two. Bitcoin might become profitable this year but remember that loan you will bw filing for is gonna taks you a year or two to get paid off. So weigh your decisions out.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Defend the bitcoin network to the death on: December 16, 2020, 10:49:27 PM
You have to draw a fine line between inspiration and obsession. And if you ate goint to sacrifice your life just to male sure your asset is profitable, might be something that you want to have checked with a psychiatrist. No offence meant bro. Just making sure you are okay. Be it metaphorical or literal, bitcoin is just an asset. You don't have to patronize it like that.
I believe we should have a discussion on why it's so important to defend the bitcoin network to the death.

(metaphorically speaking, we don't have to sacrifice any life.)

There's no need for any defending or some sort because it cant really be go down unless if internet would be totally lost on this planet and as long

there were people who do engage nor support bitcoin then circulation will continue unless if theses people or the community will jump off into another much
better coin or tech then that would be an inevitable thing for bitcoin to die.(not literally) but when theres no user then its already understandable.

As long demand and support is there then its unlikely for bitcoin to vanish or die, it isnt a guarantee but there's always a plausibility.

And bitcoin is already in the gray area of the internet where it is bpth revered and feared. So might as well just let it be. For the meantime, enjoy the new ATH it just received. We all deserved it.
