1501  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Avalon mining rig clones thread from bitmine.ch (FINAL BATCH AVAILABLE) on: August 04, 2013, 01:33:52 PM
did some calculations:
lets take batch 2 without PSU but express shipping. that means 7039 USD. if you are not able to pick it up on your own and bring it across the border without paying VAT (illegal!) you have to pay the full amount to customs because bitmine will include an invoice showing the correct total. lets take 20% VAT for e.g. (lots of EU countries have more): 7039*1,2= 8447 USD -> PSU 250 USD = 8697 USD.

batch 2 will arrive early september if there are no further delays from avalon: diff. will be at least 60 mio.
calculation done with overclocked unit with 110 GH/s.
I'm sure the diff. will increase about 45 %/month (~15% each cycle) for the next few month.

http://btcinvest.net/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=60000000&dcosts=8697&diff_mincrease=45&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=110000&btcusd_mincrease=0&btcusd=90&dpowcon=1000&dleadtime=0&pcost=0.30&calcweeks=52&action=calc

reaching break even: NEVER

-> asked them for refund or discount offer to all batch 2/3 customers.

On topic: It would be nice if someone from bitmine.ch came to this topic to post an update about the delivery of the chips.
+1
I guess they don't know anything more than we do.

I expected to start mining at a diff. of about 40-45 mio.

Bitmine offers refund till the device is shipped...it seems there is no danger for customers, but what will happen when most of batch2/3 customers ask for a refund...
1503  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Avalon mining rig clones thread from bitmine.ch (FINAL BATCH AVAILABLE) on: July 31, 2013, 05:35:23 PM
anyone toying with the idea for a refund?
batch 2: early sept., expected diff. of about 60-70 mio, ROI could be close
batch 3: end of sept.?, I don't believe batch 3 would reach ROI ever.

Yes I seen it too - saying something about policy not being able to freeze funds etc

[EDIT] and advising you to contact police

If they can't freeze funds, they should give his all details.
they won't give us anything, never! they would provide the information to the police only.
1506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: vdragon Erupter-Groupbuy-Scam : Task Force on: July 27, 2013, 11:26:38 AM
yep it was!

they won't freeze an account on private request...like expected.

@green65
any news regarding met police?
they have at least to:
- get IPs from this BCT
- get information from bitstamp
- have a closer look at his PayPal account and Stefan Darin
- and check the provided bank account
- also get information about user gapthemind (BCT IP,...)

I asked him about the deadline. Answer:

It really galls me I hadn't taken a look at the blockchain before I sent the coins. I wouldn't have sent it if I had seen the balance (0).
I registered few days ago but I'm reading much longer at this board.

this could be the shop listed in his details.

did he sent a refund from this bank account? if not this could be anyone elses bank account and he speculated that most will pay in BTC. means: this could be a totaly stolen identity.

100% scam, there is no reasonable reason to spread our coins like he did.

Ich habe meine 4 derzeit an den hier:
http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/MDA2OTcyOTk-/Computer_und_Zubehoer/Hardware/Umschalter_Hubs/USB_2_0_Hub_LogiLink_10_Port.html
