PS : Lyon is a good spinner but not as good as Ashwin, period. You can call me biased but i can back my argument with the stats. After all that's what matters and don't forget to compare his stats with Ash.
My point was actually regarding whether Lyon is a good spinner or not. I never compared him to Ashwin because I am an Ashwin fan myself and I know very well that he is far better than Lyon in several departments.

Will England win to set it up for a winner takes all 5th test or will Australia  ruin English hopes & reclaim the urn?
Almost everyone wants England to win in order to setup an awesome final, but it's tough to tell since the current Australian team usually bounce back pretty quickly based on what I observed.

Even if England wins the 4th test, I am expecting Australia to win the 5th test. Let's see what happens.

I think your relations matter more than your will power to let go of an addiction. If someone that you truly love in your life makes you emotional in a way that his/her words touch the inner core of your heart which really makes you feel that you're not doing a good thing, and because of that your loved one is getting hurt. Only that emotion can stop some addict to give up on the addiction otherwise, addicted people will never let go of their addictions.
Emotional support does help for sure, but it can't cure your gambling addiction unless you are willing to fight it first which is why willpower is the most important factor in this case if you ask me.

As they say, your greatest rival in life is you yourself which is why you should constantly fight yourself in order to improve.

I like Nathon Lyon but he is part of the Aussie squad only because they don't have any good spinners in the country.
I disagree. What is the definition of a good spinner? Does he have to move the ball like crazy like Warne or Murali? Does he have to take wickets whenever the team is a bad place? Does he need to give away less runs overall?

For me, a good spinner is someone who answers the last 2 questions effectively. Lyon's bowling average is decent and he took 526 wickets in just 153 matches : Good spinner!

Firstly, you should be prepared to submit KYC at any point of time in literally every crypto gambling site out there for various reasons. Secondly, you will find similar issues that you pointed out with Stake in many other popular alternatives too.

I do agree with your opinion about Stake going to shit these days. Sites like Crypto.Games, Bitcasino, Rollbit and Duelbits are great casinos with less issues in comparison.

For sportsbooks, I recommend Sportsbet, Pinnacle(KYC mandatory) and Fairlay(Crypto betting exchange).

The biggest factor that op failed to mention is willpower. If you are someone with strong willpower, you will definitely overcome gambling addiction no matter what based on my research.

However, if you are someone with weak willpower, it will be very, very difficult to overcome such addictions though it isn't impossible or anything.

Did anyone see how Jadeja paused in between while bowling in order to check his hairstyle through his shades? It was hilarious and it was even more hilarious watching the umpire wait for him.

Also, I found out that Jaiswal has the 3rd highest test debut score after Dhawan(187) and Sharma(177). Epic stuff!

I think stake will realize real fast that change the rewards structure will lose them players in the long run. Nobody plays at stake for their games. Casino wise you will find the same games at other sites, and the sports book is really bad with low odds anyway.

Stake's last advantage are the fast withdrawals and the reputation, but other sites can catch up with that as well.
I think their player count has already started plateauing due to changes in their rewards, increase in competing sites etc. To be fair, they probably made changes to the reward structure due to bad economy conditions.

They shouldn't let popularity make them blind to their mistakes since the gamblers who made them can also break them.

Yashasvi Jaiswal will book his place as an opener even if Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant returns and he is a youngster with great potential as he is scoring runs at an average of 80 in first class and glad that the selectors have given him the opportunity to play for the national side this early and if he could maintain the same level of consistency against other teams, Yashasvi Jaiswal will have a spot for over a decade.
You are exaggerating way too much. Jaiswal is a great batsman with a ton of potential for sure, but he doesn't hold a candle to players like Pant, Gill etc who have far more experience against all teams in multiple formats.

I would choose players like Pant over him any day in any format since they have proven their worth over time.

Yeah. Twitter isn't going anywhere op even though Musk messed it up in recent times. It might not be as popular as before, but it's still quite popular. I visit it regularly for various reasons and I never faced any issues with its performance, interface etc.

Personally, I don't like Musk at all since he is a pathetic weasel and he made Twitter worse in some ways for everyone. He received proper karma for his deeds thanks to his wealth falling rapidly recently.

Am curious to see how Threads will fare against Twitter in the future.

The Windies didn't get any wickets so far but their bowlers are doing a great job, spinners in particular keeping things very tight and rarely giving any freebies, which is good to watch.

Spinners did trouble both openers but batters are all set and must be eyeing their 100s. The Windies are in for a hard grind in this inning because of the deep batting lineup of India.
Matches like this one are frankly why tests are becoming less and less entertaining. In comparison, the Ashes is leagues away in terms of entertainment even though it's the gold standard of the test format.

One sided T-20 and ODI matches get boring too, but they are watchable since they aren't very long while one sided tests chase away viewers quickly since not many are interested in watching such long games with predictable winners.

We need more tests between evenly matched teams is my point basically.

even though there are scam casinos without KYC I think it's a bit problematic to generalize all casinos that have no KYCs as scams
specially because having KYC is not a guarantee of pretty much anything, see the FTX case that had all regulations and still blew up.
Agreed. So many gullible gamblers think that submitting KYC in reputed sites protects them and they won't face any issues when the reality is that no site is safe from hackers and time has proven that again and again.

Also, they seem to forget the fact that all reputed sites were brand new sites too which never requested KYC when they initially launched. Hypocrisy!

But West Indies cricket should be investigated for the reason why it is being destroyed and action should be taken as soon as possible. West Indies cricket team is likely to disappear in the near future if action is not taken very soon.
Why would anyone investigate them just because they are performing badly? Their board are corrupt fools just like all other boards and they don't really care about trophies since money is what primarily matters to them.

Also, the WI team won't disappear since they are still a force to reckon with in the T-20 format in my opinion.
1515  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 13, 2023, 06:31:28 AM
But, I never heard that a casino triggered KYC even though you never played 3rd party games or took any bonus or promo.
Am one of the lucky ones who was never asked KYC in any of the crypto gambling sites that I regularly play at most probably since I stick to in-house games way more often when compared to 3rd party games.

However, if you already had performed the KYC, then this issue may not arise and you may be able to withdrawal easily. But again you point of view is also right in a sense that doing KYC at all the sites only risks our KYC data to be misused.
Exactly. It's best to submit KYC only when absolutely necessary in any crypto gambling site since it's a risky endeavour.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 12, 2023, 05:42:17 PM
What a shocker. India is destroying WI as expected thanks to the miraculous spin combo of Jadeja and Ashwin. What's even more shocking is the fact that this spin combo wasn't a part of the WTC final 2023.

Just for heads up, KL Rahul said the latter many times.  Grin
Yeah. I remember that. He really needs to focus on delivering more bite than bark.
1517  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 12, 2023, 05:30:36 PM
You seem shocked!
Would you believe me if I said Bitsler asked me for a KYC to withdraw my $20 worth of TRX? Yes, they did it. I deposited $10 worth of TRX and doubled it by playing a dice game. After a few minutes, I requested to withdraw my funds, which was declined. They asked me for KYC. Well, I have submitted my ID card and then a selfie withholding my ID card and piece of paper writing Bitsler and username.

After that, they requested a utility bill or bank statement with my address. I submitted my utility bill, which was written in the local language. They denied it and asked for different papers. I downloaded my bank statement, and they denied it again, saying e-statement is not allowed. They want a statement with the stamp and signature of the bank officer. Meanwhile, I gambled again and lost it.

I don't think I have to explain how terrible the experience was.
Holy moly! KYC for 50 bucks itself was outrageous, but KYC for 20 bucks along with so much documentation is just plain insanity. I never gambled at Bitsler and I will never recommend it just because of your issue.

Personally, I would submit KYC only if it's related to big withdrawals or if they find something legitimately suspicious related to my account.

The best I can say for him is that he is decent. I thought Adam Zampa was going to be the next-best legspinner for Australia. But that did not happen. Lyon is a good off-spinner. I think the reason why some people think that he is world-class is because Australia does not have any other player who has been as consistent as him and the others. Australian players have also not gotten so many chances like him. He has also been able to properly use the chances that he got. The only reason that Australia regards him highly is because he has been really consistent.
It's very difficult to stay consistent in every sport which is why Lyon is an above average bowler(Not just decent). Also, other countries regard him highly too(Not just Australia) due to his epic stats. Think!

Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan were legends, but Lyon doesn't come anyway near them. He has taken a total of 496 wickets in test cricket, but that came with an average of more than 30. If he was a pacer, then with such an average he wouldn't have got selected for the national team. For comparison, Pat Cummins have a bowling average of 22.07, while for Mitchell Starc it is 27.47.
Averages and strike rates are overrated. He claimed 526 wickets in just 153 matches which says everything. Also, comparing him with past legends like Warner and Murali is downright silly.

They played way, way more matches than him and are from a different age entirely. Lyon is on his way to becoming a legend.
1519  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: July 12, 2023, 04:50:00 AM
I got asked to do KYC at Duelbits for a withdrawal of 50$ after some issues I had when participating in promotions and this happened quite a few times on other casinos also when I tried to withdraw relative small amounts. Nothing wrong with it, as according to the terms they can always ask KYC and this is really the trend nowadays.
KYC for 50 freaking bucks? Nothing wrong with it? Nonsense. There's plenty wrong with it. Only hardcore fans of the site would want to continue playing where they request KYC for such small amounts to be frank.

You are part of the minority who have no issues providing KYC regardless of whatever the reason is.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 11, 2023, 04:33:07 PM
Anyway, Australia never had a quality spinner after the retirement of Shane Warne. Lyon is being held in high regard by the Australians, but for me he is quite ordinary. But the Australians don't have any other choice, as he is their only experienced spinner. They never tried to groom anyone for the last 10 years or so.
I disagree. Lyon played 153 matches across all formats so far and took 526 wickets which is freaking amazing if you think about it. That is an astonishing figure for someone who hasn't even played 200 matches overall yet.

Also, he is the leading wicket-taker among foreign bowlers from outside Asia which says a lot. No wonder the Australians regard him highly.
