IMO this season is the worst season for Son, he's very good on Tottenham since 2017/2018 season and the peak was last year where he's become the top scorer, usually it's always a Harry Kane. I don't know why he can have such poor performance, he seems to be either don't happy to play on Tottenham or have an internal problem. Like you said above, Son is really fast and he's very good play on Winger position to challenge the opponent defenders to chase him.

Son is still on prime age, it's a good decision if Real Madrid want to sign him on the next year.

The problem is that Xavi is too focused on their core players so indeed when some of their players get injured it becomes like a setback for Xavi.
