1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 01, 2023, 06:33:20 PM
Now that you share this? yeah i may consider doing this but first I will review my daily income to make a deal with my wife  Grin Cheesy

but 1-2% is just a small amount to spend and risk(also to take chance being lucky) now that I may spend that small amount then i can play the maximum winning I may try .

You're a very loving husband. Personally, I don't tell my wife that I gamble. It's not that I don't want her to worry; rather, I view gambling as a form of personal satisfaction, much like her shopping with her friends. I don't mind whatever business she's doing, and I'd like my pursuits to be treated in a similar manner.

Families with joint or linked banked accounts would question one another about how they spend money. I don't know how you'll be able to escape such questions from your wife, if she focuses on asking about your activities or notices that you are a gambler. It's not simple to keep the truth away from them. Except you don't have a joint account with her, I'd say your decision is great and it also makes you a loving husband Grin not every woman would feel comfortable about having a gambler as a husband. We've had similar discussions in this forum about letting our spouse know about our gambling habit. But, it feels good to discuss gambling with our wife, if she's not worried about it. From the Op's idea or strategy, 1% is great for any household and our partner would be happy to discover how money conscious her spouse is, instead of winding up the income. Causing trouble for the family. Which is basically where the family problems erupt. And why most women hate gamblers. Aside that, if you're a responsible gambler, it'll be rare to find her sad or wary about the gambling habit.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 01, 2023, 06:14:09 PM

It's true, nobody wants to reveal how much they've lost in gambling, but once the big win results appears, their timeline won't take a rest. We can use the OP as an example of gamblers who would gamble hoping to win, due to the screenshot of his friend's wins. While gambling the possibility of winning big is certain, more like losing big amount gradually. Some gamblers think of it as a method of saving money, until one day the casino would refund them all losses with a jackpot. Yet, not every gambler get lucky enough to hit huge amount of money. And when they do win big, the money rarely last a long time until it goes back to the gambling house. Cashing out and calling it a day for gambling activity, is not achievable. Unless the player has a second plan, he won't give up on gambling after hitting a huge win. It's like, not having something else to think about, except gambling. If they player invests the money on a fresh business, he's not sure of recovering back the money invested. Hence, going to gamble again, is the only option. As he'll be more convinced of gaining more wins, just the same way he got his jackpot or big win.
it would be a personal thing because we neither be that ashamed to reveal those losses into the public on which it would really be just that normal that you would really be hiding it no matter what
and would really be just showcasing on the amount that you had won recently.  Wink It is really just that so common that people would be boasting up their wins rather than on their losses on which we wont really be able on what are those numbers because that would really be a deep secret. This is why its better not to mind yourself on trying to think on how much losses they do have.
It turns out that someone did make some multiple bets which it did really ends up on getting those sure hits which it causing for it to end up on $18k on just simply having that $20
which it is really indeed a big bet.

Isn't it being biased, if they think losing is shameful and winning a thing to celebrate? Aside doing it as a way to promote the casino, most people want to show off, with the big wins. The whole concept is not common amongst one set of gamblers, almost a good number of gamblers, influencers, celebrities tend to display their wins to their followers. Social media lifestyle is filled with fake claims and fabricated winning slips being published on pages, either to fetch followers or to promote a casino. Wise or intelligent followers who questions these posts, begin to ponder about why the losses are not promoted. At least to make it look real. Sharing the wins once a while, is deceitful and naive players would think the player just tried for the first time and won big. But, if he published losses too without feeling ashamed, when he wins, his followers will understand that he was one time a loser and now a winner. So, when they want to gamble it'll be on the back of their mind that losing is also applicable in gambling. Another reason why they don't share losses is because of criticism from the same followers. Social media is getting toxic on daily basis, both the influencers and their deceived followers are not to be blamed.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 01, 2023, 05:49:13 PM
AI is just a helpful tool for people with their efficient way of information gathering and not just a tool for prediction of the gambling games, if you get struggle where to find such info needed like stats, teams, and etc for your analyzation of the game it good to use but let this decide to win I guess they will just give you a percentage and of course if you experience a good winning with this trial you will seek the same question every time to make a free prediction analyzer but again its sports gambling anything can make a table turns in the game one mistake of other team makes the other to comeback.

AI will be a proficient tool for link sourcing on previous games, to read and analyze games. Other than that, I don't see AI any effective in helping us win our games. Those bots only perform better in giving answers to already existing events. So, it's like a means of getting a summary of all the sources available for a question, unlike google. Depending on AI for a future event is a waste of time. Soothe Sayers don't get gambling predictions right, not to talk of AI. Sports results changes, and a player's mistake can ruin the predictions of anybody. Any team can win in a sport competition. Therefore, making the prediction of a game very confusing on who actually would win the game. Somehow the casino business owners, have a glimpse of what the outcome of a game would be, that's how they manage to set up odds. Games can be robbed, in favor of the casinos across the world to make more profits. These strategies helps to make it difficult for gamblers and any tool they try to improvise for prediction. Imagine if AI correctly predict games, casino business would be out of market already. As all gamblers would take the advantage of using AI often and often. Hence casinos make a difference by manipulating their odds such that when majority of people plays a particular odd or in support of a team to win, the odd will be small; paid less. While the little amount of gamblers who chose contrarily to the multitude would be given a huge odd; big pay. And most of the times the majority of gamblers would lose out, because the big team ends up losing to a smaller team. Isn't it a questionable outcome? but, since it's a sport game, anything can happen.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: December 01, 2023, 05:20:25 PM
Yes it is possible or very likely that there are some or even many people who can earn from their gambling in any gambling, but I would not really believe if there is the word consistent in income because in general the risk will always be greater but maybe they have a pretty good way that can minimize the risk and increase the percentage of winning or luck. Of course, when it comes to career I really don't believe a gambler can build a successful career, if there are some people who motivate others that they can use gambling as a place to make a "consistent" income then I think their mindset is disturbed, and as you said it is really not recommended because of the level of risk that is much greater.

There is enough evidence and facts that show that anyone who brings the mindset of wanting to make stable money from gambling always ends up with a downfall and many other problems.  It is just a push of nonsense, and it makes sense as your suggestion if there are people who say like that then we will be able to believe if they provide real evidence, so we must be more careful.

Looking at the Op's perspective, gamblers shouldn't think a player can't make a living through gambling. Because as gamblers we are supposed to have met players who actually earn significant amounts through gambling. Don't know for online gamblers, but physical casinos comprises of these kinds of gamblers. And they also have comps that help gamblers to stay winning by earning points. On the other hand, it's not wrong to think of gamblers not winning consistently in gambling, especially for gamblers who haven't seen or read about such people. Somehow, these people who make a career out of gambling begin early to master how the machines work. Though risky for any other gambler, but a well strategized player that understand the house edge can make a consistent money via gambling. Your second paragraph is right, and it's one of the strategies of professional gamblers. They don't worry about winning big in gambling. The motive is enjoying the process and mastering slot machines or poker games. I grasp Op's obsession about such gamblers, as it sounds like they don't trust the power of gambling. The risk is high, but I keep telling people, that doesn't make it impossible.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 01, 2023, 05:01:27 PM
I don't know why some gamblers still ask such question that will make someone get agree at the moment, before you bet the game did you seek people advice before you bet this game or if you win this bet will you share money for those that tell you the right thing?, If you know that the remaining games will not cute the ticket, you can wait till the end of the games before you can cash out but if the remaining games cute your ticket, you will learn a lesson from it because we learn everyday from gambling center and some thing like this happened to some one in this platform because he refused to cash out and he lose at the end.

If I'm in your shoe now, I will cash out without seeking for any advice from people because anything can happen before the end of the remaining games that will make you happy or sad which are two things that happen in gambling.

It's quite a difficult decision, he would blame others if the games later played and he won. Don't know for sure what would be the right choice for Op, but cashing out is my advise to him, because it's rare to find gamblers who won the complete game. I've seen people who lost it all, instead of cashing out. The best option is having the money at hand, then enjoy the rest of the games. Losing out on this game could cause OP to have a bad weekend. For his mental health, taking his fund would make him happier than not. However the decision lies on OP to choose, considering how he felt watching the games he won. He wasn't rest assured. Passing through similar methods for the remaining games, can be heartbreaking especially when the team lose, but if he takes the money and end up winning the games later on, what would OP think of our advise?
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth mindset versus fixed mindset on: December 01, 2023, 04:31:18 PM
Growth mindset has been portrayed as something amazing and fixed one is portrayed as a moron here, but I have seen people who have fixed mindset and earn a salary at a company for 40 years and then retire and go on cruise with their spouse and live a happy life, whereas some growth people who wanted more and more, and then ended up crashing and burning and having nothing and maybe even bankrupted beyond repair.

Remember, for every good growth mindset person, there is a bad one waiting around the corner as well, fixed one will not create issues for the world, they will just wake up, shower, go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch tv, and sleep for 40 years in a row. That is the most important thing that you need to keep doing.

This would make sure that you have a life that is not too rich and that is sad I agree, but that doesn't mean that you are a moron like this infographic claims basically, you just prefer not to take risks and make sure you are doing fine.
For those who had chosen on having those kind of growth mindset, they didnt really like on what happened into them just incase they did end up miserable. No one really loves on ending up a failure but you do
actually have a point because there are ones who did decide to take some risks and ending up on their life miserable comparing into those people who had decided to work for company for 30-40 years
but actually this had to do in someones fate. Dont know if people do really believe on fate but we know that there are really things in life which arent for us. Come in mind that even to those people who do have that fixed mindset and sticking into their jobs, there are ones who do able to make themselves way more better ex. job promotion, hitting jackpots or contest or whatsoever on which it did result on making huge money
then this is where it do make their lives so much better. This is why its never been that good on making up some conclusions.

You cant blame out other people on having those kind of growth mindset, who doesnt really like on having that different path on taking up into their lives?
We do all want that kind of progress on which it is really just that normal but of course it would really be needing up that risk taking in exchange.

Indeed, it doesn't add up to think of a fixed mindset person as a moron. Their fixed mindset also helps the growth mindset person to execute good plans. Although living a life of working for complete 40 years and retiring to cruise around the world, isn't what most people dream about. It's quite a great life for some and ain't at all in any way a good life for many who wish to set up a business and retire at 40, then rest and cruise around the world. It's all stressful to be on one side. But, a growth mindset person, who is focused and knows exactly where his business is headed, would have a better result in life than a fixed mindset person. Fine, not everyone can perform excellently in business, despite possessing growth mindset. Same is applied to workers hoping to make a huge living out of their salaries. Some end up with no savings or nothing meaningful to present, while others end up in debt, like the growth mindset person illustrated by el kaka on his response. While people require these mindsets to make changes in their life, the determination also matters, coupled with consistency. I don't expect every growth mindset person to succeed in their endeavors similarly, not all fixed mindset person would fail in their cooperate world.
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can save the USA and dollar on: December 01, 2023, 04:12:28 PM
Do you think the US government is seeking for help or need to be saved? I don't think so, but if whenever, however they require help, it wouldn't be bitcoin, because it's decentralized. The government don't want to rely on something, which isn't under their control. Dollar is the most recognized currency in the world, US choosing bitcoin over dollar, is like removing the currency, which contributes to the power of her nation and handing it over to bitcoin. It'll help the growth of bitcoin, but it's quite impossible for US government to make such a move. Added with the volatility nature of bitcoin.
1508  Economy / Economics / Re: New business idea. on: December 01, 2023, 03:54:33 PM
My feeling is that you are very familiar and very clear about the psychology of workers, machinery to produce graundnut oil and the actual, long-term needs and essential sustainable use of graundnut oil. Personally, I think this is a great business idea that you can pursue, it will solve many employment problems and positive thinking so that each person can freely own their own production facilities, something that stimulates each person's hard work and working ability to create more productivity and income.

The business idea is great for people in countries where groundnut oil is needed for food processing; fries and stew making. Although people focus on oil with low cholesterol. As most of the groundnut oil available in the market today, consist of high cholesterol, and not preferable for consumers. High cholesterol causes different form of sickness to the body. The type I love to buy are mainly from companies, a bit expensive, but, nice health wise. Starting the business wouldn't be much problem, yet we require more visibility and audience to sell enough oil, that can fetch us good profits as OP promised. I understand, whenever we have a product needed by people, we'll definitely make wealth. The major issue is the market competition. So, even if we don't need huge capital to begin, it's necessary to have lots of capital to reach out to potential customers, could be the retailers and distributors. As these people who make up the production chain, are difficult to convince. They need to compare the already existing groundnut oil sold in their shops with the one we offer to sell. Even at a cheaper rate, it still take longer period of consistent marketing to buy the hearts of retailers and distributors.
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: November 30, 2023, 09:59:22 PM

Every country has different form of raw materials, which they can sell to different countries around the globe to make profits. A food producing country, definitely, won't sell out all their food to other countries. Because they also need to regulate the circulation of food in the country not to run out of food. While other nations with other raw materials, which is not edible can purchase food with the money generated through exported goods. For a food producing country to manage their nation against food shortage, also has to do with demand and supply. Unless the land is polluted and few regions are now fertile. Then, they can reduce the rate of food export to other countries and focus on feeding their country. Especially, in the current world situation, where food is getting scarce with widespread of diseases, affecting the growth of crops. Farmers face difficulties like flood destroying their farm produce. In such a bad season, countries rarely export goods outside the country, because they didn't produce enough food. Hence, countries depending on imported food, would face serious food shortage. Thereby, skyrocketing the price of food in the region. Since, they can't import food like before, when the food producing nation had enough to export.
Would really be totally depending too on how their government would really be handling it out on which we know that they are the ones who do play a vital role when it comes to those kind of situations specially
in importation and exportation on which it would be understandable that if they do saw that there's an abundant supply of a specific product then they could decide on making some export for in exchange for other
possible things which could benefit them but if it turns out that it do becomes scarce then it would be normal that they would be cutting the supply on which it is a normal approach.
It would be always basing up with the law of supply and demand, price would go high basing up on that certain condition. We know that lands now are gradually been destroyed to make up new buildings
on which those are really just good for some planting or whatsoever so im not shocked that one day if there would be no enough farm fields because of this continuous development.

I was having similar discussion with an economist, few days back. The high rate of building in the society is becoming much and these buildings don't yield any income to the owners. Nobody wants or purchase a land for the purpose of farming, anymore. Which is affecting households financially. To battle food shortage, every household should at least have a garden where they plant some specific food crops. So, they won't have to purchase every single food they want in the market. If they produce their own food or oven rare livestock, it'll help reduce their expenses on food. Additionally, like you said, the government play vital role regarding income and export. But, citizens should also contribute in the growth of the country. Especially for the good of their family. Government can mandate households to have a farmland like in the past. I mean in food producing countries. Most people already abandoned their farms for cooperate business. Don't know who told them they can't joggle both businesses together. Now the money made via the cooperate business is used to purchase food. Citizens instead of contributing in producing food, purchase food to eat, hence affecting the availability of food produce meant for export purposes. Which then affects the country solely dependent on imported food.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 30, 2023, 09:37:49 PM
I create a topic last month in the local board that "if you are not doing anything don't invest in Bitcoin", but you can invest massively when you are an alternative income means of livelihood. Bitcoin investment attract investors to spend them if the people is not doing another thing to support the investment because you must eat and do other things. But whereby the investor is a business man and he investing his profit to invest every week or month and at the end of the year, he would save enough and wait for the next bull market to withdraw his investment.

When an investor has no business to back up the investment then the investment is also in danger.

You are getting the idea behind the thread, because in the process of saving up bitcoin, it's worth noting that we, as humans, also have personal needs. Although I understand DCA is great or taking out any amount we know can't be needed and stacking them gradually. But, in the business world, money is needed everyday to keep up with the growth of the business. And I always wondered if, it'll be best to stack bitcoin or keep building a business until it's worth enough money to get us any amount of bitcoin. Take Michael Saylor for instance, I once read he had FUD on bitcoin, but today he's bullish about bitcoin and hodl lots of bitcoin from the money generated by Micro strategy. Bitcoin won't be bullish forever, neither will it remain bearish. Hence, there will always be a window for buying bitcoin. Since, we can't get it at 10 USD anymore, isn't it better we work on a business that'll yield us lots of money, then we can purchase a reasonable amount of bitcoin and hold. Thereby increasing our profits. Than just holding little amount for a long time. Unless the person doesn't have a mindset of increasing their income, they can continue with saving small amounts until it accumulates to a huge amount. The question, remains, how long would that be?
1511  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth mindset versus fixed mindset on: November 30, 2023, 09:23:13 PM
People with growth mindset, pass through different difficulties, but end up achieving their goals. They're not pessimistic about building new skill and trying new business methods that works to improve their customer base. The section, where you, OP, said about rewarding the process is great. Even when the person with a growth mindset fails, they reward themselves. Such treat helps them to reason and perform better next time. A fixed mindset person doesn't appreciate failing. They always want to win to prove a point to the society. So, when failure embraces them, they'll hide behind closed doors and wouldn't want to try again. The differences are clear and growing our mindset in a time like this, is very crucial. As the societal believes of fixed mindset has eaten dip into the thoughts of many individuals. Only a few persons avoids the rat race at all cost. Not minding the criticisms from loved ones; family and friends. Asking numerous questions on why they don't choose to do things like others. Those with fixed mindset, don't listen to their self concept, the words from friends easily influence them. This doesn't mean the growth mindset person, doesn't listen to advise. He winnows them out till he gets the right one, relating to what he wants.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: November 30, 2023, 08:57:46 PM
I have a developer who recently stumbled on multiple AI he uses for sport betting predictions, he uses it to generate sport bettings but none of the bets gets to be accurate as it generates tens of games. but when used to generate a much lesser number of games the predictions are sometimes  correct, at least 3 in 10 predictions of "multiple" bets.

But he loves having 30+ games "multiple" bet to win big amount and so far it has been a challenge in the last 5-6 weeks as his winnings have drastically dropped.

Should AI be relied on for sport betting predictions?

Any AI that I have used or better the ChatGPT as that the only thing I have used told me with a simple answer,"Sorry I cannot make any such predictions.I recommend you visit these sites" and it gave me about 5-6 sites of prediction and news about sport betting,I knew them all before the AI told me to visit them so I was not that impressed with ChatGPT with this topic.

That developer should make a good deed to the community and to make that AI public and why not open source so anyone can contribute to it and let's see if people from the open source which for me are the most talented can bring it to another level, the level of showing us at least 50% correct predictions and then it depends on us to divide the betting amount to be in profit  Grin.

The team behind ChatGPT restricts their AI from answering some kind of questions, including gambling. Although their answers won't be correct, but they don't want users taking advantage of the chatbot. Have you tried using different languages to ask similar questions on chatgpt. Some people have tried using local languages in south Africa to trick the chatbot to answer restricted questions. As the bot is trained in ways that it could answer different questions. But using English to query the bot for such information, may not get you any answer, due to the restriction. However, using AI to predict games is more like accepting that the bot is more intelligent than the brain. The human brain always perform better than AI, in all aspect of life. Relying on AI can't be effective, and can further affect the user not to utilize his brain power on sport analysis. Even when we book few games, it's not certain the bot's prediction, would play out accurately. AI isn't able to predict the future, but with it's training, it can easily look around all the sports resources required to analyze the game. Which would be better off, if we did that ourselves.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 08:42:49 PM
These wins that get posted on social media including this forum are one in a thousand or more. The rest of them are losing the bets. If everyone was winning the bets, the casino would go bankrupt, but that never happening, we all know that.

Hence by showing one big win, it does not mean that the next bet is going to be another big win. Maybe even the person who made this bet won big after a long line of losses and it is possible that they money they made on this one still does not break even the cumulative losses till date.

My point being that gambling can be a win for some, if so cash out and never come back - but for most people it will be a loss and the casino will always be the winner.
That part is "obvious" and yet some people are still missing the point for some reason, I have absolutely no idea why. I get that it may not be all that easy and we may look at it differently but that doesn't mean that we are talking about something that will take all that much time. I feel like we could see the situation changing eventually and we need to end up with something that should be easier to handle.

I hope that it could get to a point where we could say it's doing fine, and should be doing fine and people could realize these are rare wins, but unfortunately some newbies still fail, even veterans could fail to see that at times and get hyped about it. This is not to blame anyone, but these wins are basically promotion material for casinos, why would a casino promote them losing money? To get others trying to do the same and lose their money.

It's true, nobody wants to reveal how much they've lost in gambling, but once the big win results appears, their timeline won't take a rest. Those countries which in which the major use of their countries comes and fulfil through their own agricultural field. They should do it in a better way to make things before the way they was in mind that a time will come in which their will be food shortage in the country. They have to make their agricultural field system more fast as that was before and now they should produce more food to keep them for a long time and even they can supply these item to other countries.

But there will also be problem creating for those countries who have low on agricultural resources and who didn't have more in the agricultural resources. They all have to work on their Economics after that they can manage these things by getting through other countries in a way that they should get these things in order to give high money to other countries may be.

Read through the blog post and it's quite interesting. This method of bank roll management will always allow the gambler to have more left over money to save and tackle other financial responsibilities. The only problem would be on the gambler, whether he'd abide completely by such strategy when his games become too fun. Or during more wins. We should also know that winning is also possible, with this type of gambling strategy. The gambler can take advantage and play with his winnings, thereby extending his gambling duration. Yet, reading downwards on the article, I saw a sub heading stating we should gamble only 4 days in one month. Don't know if he really meant 4 days as per 96 hours a month, or just 4 times a month. The purpose of all these is to remain in control of our thoughts while gambling. The way I've noticed gambling affects our brain, is by the remorse we feel after losing money that would have been used to settle financial problem in the household. Hence using his mathematical analysis, everyone can know the actual amount to use for gambling each month. Not to be affected by excessive gambling.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: November 29, 2023, 06:14:37 PM
Gambling addiction doesn't start completely that way or isn't dependent on such analogy alone. They're multiple reasons why people can get addicted to gambling. Which may include; anxiety, loss of money, mental disorder etc. Why the analogy looks great is that it only helps us become responsible gamblers and why it's tagged as the reason to gambling addiction if not obeyed, is that when a person isn't responsible they'll become irresponsible. Generally speaking, gamblers are expected to follow such instruction to enjoy the fun of gambling. Although the strategy isn't certain if we'll win or not, but when we do not think about gambling as a form of making profits, we'll tend to win more. As our minds won't be racing on which decision to follow. Once the mind is at rest, our predictions become better than when in a hurry. A player that doesn't follow such strategy, can still control his emotions not to become addicted. He'll only play to win and end up becoming sad when he doesn't. Somehow it's bad to be sad over losing in gambling, which can also have a bad repercussion on the mental health of the gambler.

Football is the game that unites. It's a universal game that almost every nation bon earth participate in and gets so much joy watching or participating in the game, the esctasy, the euphoria and the Sense of pleasure it brings to the mind makes it most preferable.

The university of football is one factor that has given it the recognition it's gotten over the years with respect to other sports, it has a way of getting all the interest and attention and it's most loved by the masculine gender. Personally my love for football was derived from the pleasure and entertainment I got watching every of my favorites team play, I get a satisfaction that is very enjoyable and relaxing from football than I get from other sports.

Football is currently the biggest sport in the world, with every country abiding to the rules of FIFA, regarding soccer. Can't say for sure why we naturally grew up as toddlers to love football. Enjoyed watching adults play street football, and we also formed our own football groups. It's quite an interesting exercise. All over schools, kids still play soccer. Although in countries like USA kids are mostly introduced to basketball and American football, but soccer still thrives in generating multitudes who are interested in watching the game. I've not come across any football game, be it street soccer organized by kids, with no spectators. It shows how we all owe our love to football games. Not just the masculine gender, the female gender also love football, most especially street football, organized by a community; school or association. I'd vividly recall, how young girls felt happy to watch their younger class or school mates participate in football competitions. The only difference is that the female gender don't love watching football on TV. According to what I've noticed, watching it live and seeing people they know play football interests them the most, like everyone else. It's fun to watch our loved ones play and the hugs and handshakes after the games gives a different thrill. Games shown on TV is less interesting compared to the ones we see live, played in school field.

It's not going to be fun, as people don't love taking advantage over the pains of others. I don't see the essence of staking games on war. The idea may have been in existence and some people may secretly practice it, all for money. Although, casino wouldn't venture into such kind of gambling, but people can be weird and would venture into any form of gambling activity for fun. It's risky to present war odds to gamblers, a colossal amount of gamblers wouldn't agree to it, thereby affecting the revenue of the casino. As they'll lose out on customers. Though, ridiculous ideas can be initiated, yet humanity comes first in all aspect of life. Some casinos may have tried this in the past and didn't find success, that's why it's not rampant. How would people detect the actual date a war is meant to commence or how long it would last before it comes to an end. Isn't it mockery to laugh when others are crying over their loved ones. Gamblers should focus more on other untapped deserving activities, which requires to be used for fun. This is just an absurd idea or suggestion.

These lads are in the stages of their life where they copy and paste what they see adults doing. They look up to the elderly ones for inspiration and guidance, even when you thinking they're are not observing what you do, or that they don't understand it. They have sharp and retentive memories and tends to replicate whatever they see grownups do, especially those ones they are comfortable around.
You did well by preventing her from gambling at a very tender age, else her childhood would be overtaken by her desire to gamble and she will loose interest in other important factors for her adequate development. Things we do either affect these younger ones positively or negatively, so we need to be on the watch and strife to pass quality mentoring to them. I stopped smoking because I found out my younger brother was smoking and he was not doing it in moderation, so I took it upon myself to be a good example to him to help him stop his newly found bad habit.  We should be more careful when these young ones are around as what we do before them today somehow shapes their tomorrow and decides the kind of adults that the society will produce in the future.

Living with kids is great and at some point controlling them is tiring. They tend to be fast in all their activities; thoughts, moves and words. It's rarely difficult to escape the notion of not failing in one aspect, especially while gambling. Because they can appear to us as kids, and we think they already followed an instruction given to them, but all of a sudden they'll come to complain about something, then accidentally, they'll find us or watch us gambling. Taking precautions to stop them from seeing such things on our screen is quite important. But, it's not simple to enforce children to obey an instruction, say; go to bed. They can go in to their room and return right back to complain about not feeling sleepy. These involuntary actions we can't control, while the urge of playing gambling attracts us to our computer. Sometimes, I'd move ahead to play games, but their complains wouldn't let me concentrate. Trying to pass a message like this, we all need some guidance on ways to bypass these challenges. As it's too difficult to control kids. It only requires carrying them on our shoulders to send them to sleep. And such an exercise takes up our schedule too, You'd see that the only moment conducive for gambling is when the child is at sleep.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 29, 2023, 03:53:58 PM
There exist over one million and one reason why people hate gambling, but few benefits of gambling can make a player to outsmart his colleagues in the office. Or even in an interview. I was able to check how gambling benefits relate to what HR officers look out for in a candidate before hiring them. There are 2 main benefit of gambling that improves the major skills people look out for in an employee in every offices.

I have witnessed how gambling can help in making an individual to be social because I have experience it myself. When you're a gambler, you'll want to socialize with others so you can gained from their experience on some things they know about a particular game. Gambling is a social activity therefore the more an individual get involves in gambling the more he or her social skills improve and that can be helpful in their place of work. Gamblers are usually very active and good communicators.

A gambler is always looking for a way they can think their way to success by looking for new strategy to use in winning the game they enjoy playing so this will also be helpful for an individual to have such skills and use it in helping the company grow. Gambling isn't totally bad as the society is making it look like. Any individual gambling rightly without getting addicted would have so many positive impact to the society starting from their work place.
We should avoid to generalize when it comes to the benefits some gamblers can get out of this hobby, and I say this because even if there are indeed games in which you can get to know people from all walks of life and make all kind of new connections, this is only possible in some games, like poker, roulette, blackjack and other similar games, and that is assuming you are gambling at a physical casino.

However if your favorite games are dice or slots then you are not going to get many interactions that could help you to socialize with other gamblers.

Don't think so, a person who frequents a physical casino, regardless of his game type, would find people who also participate in such games to associate with and share ideas. Players who think they need help can easily start a conversation with the person next to their slot machine. A times players can try convincing you not to play the predicted game in slot. Conversation always will erupt, leading to more intense one, which could make both parties friends. However, the whole aim is for fun purpose, whether their idea worked or you chose not to listen to them, and followed your choice. Unless the person doesn't want to associate, as most times we can't wait for players to talk to us first. The skill improves for people who wish to increase their social skill, they'll need to enter conversation with gamblers around them. Because they'll easily have a good conversation, without thinking of being neglected. Most people don't start conversation, due to the fear of getting snubbed or not having a nice talking time. But, when with fellow gamblers, some would have enough confidence to engage in the discussion. And they'll be equipped with more details to talk about regarding gambling. It all begins gradually, and sooner the player would adapt. With the newly achieved skill, the gambler can easily engage into discussion with colleagues in offices.
