1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT and virtual real state project the biggest scam in past 3 years? on: November 17, 2023, 06:12:47 PM
I don't think NFTs are useless or scams, they just ride the trend and eventually it will go down.
What really matters is the value. NFT's value depends on people who want to buy at a certain price and most NFTs are overvalued.

I think it depends on the thing you see something even in the real world, there are many types of collections worth millions of dollars in the auction.
Personally, I didn't get it and it's not worth it for me at least but I am open-minded and I embrace what it is even I don't understand.
Yeah, history bla bla bla and it sounds silly to me, and what if we compared in the digital world?
Right now we spend many hours per day in this Internet world, let's say the digital world.
Let's think the same thing and they think NFTs are collections, Does that make sense?

No, it still don't make sense to me because why would one spend hundreds and thousands and some even spend millions for a piece of digital art, I mean if you are buying a real painting or art works atleast you can exhibit it or keep it at your home or office but the same is not possible with NFT. I am not against people who invested into it for hype as it was a trend but when it comes to real life use case this is useless and those who have spent millions loos like money laundering.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 17, 2023, 04:47:29 PM
I have been in this situation as I have lost the private key and 12 word recovery phrase of my blockchain wallet which I used in 2015 and even while I type this post I tried twice with familiar password but didn't get lucky. It feels disgusting and frustrating. It's sad that we cannot recover the password, thi is definitely one of the biggest drawback but we have to accept it and have a proper backup and it's my mistake that I didn't take things seriously back then as Bitcoin was just $400 or $250 back then. This will act as a negative point if we are careless and if we have this back up it just adds up to layer of security and it's upto us how we take it.
1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. on: November 17, 2023, 01:46:19 PM
Indeed, Bitcoin is not a ge rich quick scheme but unfortunately that's what how it has been introduced to the outsiders I mean to those people who are not aware of Bitcoin. I have seen my colleagues discussing about investing in Bitcoin stating they will get rich by doing it but they have no idea about concept of Bitcoin and why it will make them rich, I feel Altcoin is a get rich quick or lose it allsor of scheme wherein Bitcoin is like gold with higher returns and a real life P2P transfer medium.

We cannot blame anyone here since there are no centralized stakeholders who are responsible to spread awareness. But, eventually once people become wise they will realise what is Bitcoin.
1504  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 17, 2023, 02:35:09 AM
Indeed, there is a big difference between spending money on fun things and making money for life, which shows how divided society is. But your point of view on financial freedom as safety for the future is very wise. Its not enough to just have money; you need to make sure it keeps growing. Investing to get passive income is a good idea.

Though, are we missing out on happiness in the present when we worry about our safety in the future? In the end, financial freedom should strike a balance between safety in the future and happiness in the present. Its not just about the money; its also about how it makes our lives better now and in the future. Can we really say we're free if our plans for the future take over our present happiness? Maybe the real freedom is finding this balance, where having enough money doesnt stop you from living in the moment.

I have a slightly different view on this even though I am aligned with the OP but I am more concerned on equality I know if you work hard, save more, invest wisely but some of us don't even get that opportunity. For example it makes a huge difference in most of the countries if you are graduated out of an reputed tier 1 colleges as top companies wants to hire candidates from Top Tier colleges and pay them massively wherein those who cannot afford to get graduated from these colleges end up struggling for years only to realise a fresher candidate is paid more than them just because they are from top tier college. An skilled labour worked much more harder than IT professional but he can never get paid on equal level.

We need to work towards creating equal opportunities right from the grass roots as anyone can say working towards higher salary will help them buy perfume or it's lavish spending, I feel our focus should be why the difference in financial circumstances of people.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plan for making a small dream come true on: November 16, 2023, 08:11:35 PM
I personally feels that three coins will achieve its exit point atleast the first exit target and they ar Bitcoin, XRP and BNB and I have valid reasons to suggest that. As we have seen Bitcoin ATH is is just $5k lesser than your first exit target there are chances it can be achieved like how Bitcoin was struggling at $15k or under $20k now it has increased by over 100% and the same principle applies to Bitcoin as well from current price. XRP has already crossed $3 so further positive news in SEC case will boost it's value and BNB will surely achieve Target as long as Binance is up and running.

1506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you overcome the hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie? on: November 16, 2023, 06:53:16 PM
In Trading there would always be hurdles and no one can say they are on auto pilot mode unless they have automated their trade with lesser risk margin. I had been full time trader in the past and now I do it occasionally at my free time and I would say learning more about the crypto market and backtesting data with different indicators have helped me gain confidence into trading but still I would say i n my an expert and have losing days. But as we indulge in trading we get an hang of it and gain confidence as experience is everything if you have learnt about trading and candle reading.
1507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently? on: November 16, 2023, 05:41:26 PM
I would have stopped myself from selling off Bitcoin when it was between $500 and $1k, I would have asked myself to sell off all the altcoins during bull run and I would have rather dedicated myself as a full time trader which I stopped during bear market.

There are a lot of mistakes which I would have stopped myself from doing it and learning curve which I would have embraced. My biggest regret till date are investing a huge sum of money into Mining machineries and couldn't even get 10% returns out of it during 2018 and eventually had to sell the graphic cards and motherboard individually, I wish I wouldn't have done this.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 16, 2023, 04:23:31 PM
You friend is not the only person who has such mindset as there are still lot of people who are not interested into Bitcoin, especially those who have already earned enough so they cannot simply risk their investment as per them Bitcoin was supposed to be peer to peer transfer medium without any fear of being taxed or account being freezed and they are not okay with Bitcoin being used as a investment medium. But Bitcoin is both a P2P as well as investment and there is no point in forcing those who are not interested as it will only make them more irate and one they realise that they cannot skip Bitcoin when it become too mainstream they will eventually get in.

Appreciate your effort to track these details and working towards increasing traffic towards local board, I think the reason for low for fall is that we don't have active topics and important topics which will help user excel in the crypto and how they can build portfolio, how they can earn through crypto, the best exchange and trading techniques which they can utilise while trading from India, how to avoid scams in crypto, Etc. I had been occupied but will surely take sometime off to help the community grow and prosper. As this should be the one stop shop for all the Crypto relate stuff by we need more crypto enthusiasts for that. Hope more people like you join hands to achieve that.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: November 16, 2023, 12:41:51 PM
We have often witnessed in the bull run that Bitcoin's value increases and once it becomes stable at a certain limit that's when bull run officially starts for Altcoins and we have seen same cycle in previous two bull runs. But, this time we are witnessing a different scenario as we have seen increase in the price of Bitcin but it's yet to reach ATH and it's still continuing to increase but Altcoin's are going bonkers and having more than 100% increase and it's not limited to few but most of the Altcoin is following similar trend.

Should be consider this as new trend wherein Altcoins will have bullrun before Bitcoin? Or this is once in a blue moon thing? It cannot be a bull trap since it's happening for multiple Altcoins.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BABY SHARK INU - x100 on: November 16, 2023, 10:52:25 AM
Please don't take me wrong but what you are doing is utterly disgusting and just in the hope of receiving soem tokens you are marketing something which you haven't even checked out and trust me you will not invest even a single penny if you have checked there website, enough is enough as we see so many meme projects being advertised which has zero use in real life and just because some of them got lucky you cannot just use similar sounding names to gain popularity.

It's been a while we have moved away from these meme coins and NFT and it would be really nice if people refrain from posting stuffs like this because even if one person possibly a newbie invests into it then it's a sure shot loss.

Forget about 30 major exchange this project will not be listed even in one major exchange
1512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading? on: November 15, 2023, 08:49:20 PM
Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

When I started investing into Bitcoin it was around $300 and I was not actively trading as Bitcoin back then was looked at as a P2P transfer service for which it was designed by Satoshi and those were the days when we used to purchase Bitcoin from the amount we earned mostly though warning on this very same forum through signature campaigns.

But I started active trading at a later stage when CEX started getting more popularity as DEX lacks UI.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 15, 2023, 08:07:00 PM
(....)
What's your opinion ? Shall we invest or just involve in quick trades ?
It seems difficult. For me, you must identify first your goal, and identify what you want, whether you are a trader or investor? or both.
You can also organize, like having a trading account and investing account. Or just make it organize, like you buy spot orders for some altcoins you want to invest and you plan it to sell in the future, and on the other hand you can try futures trading to do some quick trades.

I am currently doing both, as an investor for Bitcoin and trader for Altcoin, at the moment I am bit hesitant to make entry into market in terms of major investment  because one day Altcoin are having more than 50% increase and the next day the same coin dumps as mentioned in the OP but I am trying to utilise this for multiple quick trades of minimal profit without taking risk of more than 10% as stop loss is placed at 10% in maximum number of cases. I have made some investments when Bitcoin was under $20k and waiting for bull run to reach it's peak for selling it.
1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: November 15, 2023, 07:16:55 PM

I don't think that the concerns of investors that panic have anything to do with the fact that they haven't seen a bull run yet, but it's just that they can't see their portfolio losing value and when they see that happening, they start panicking because they feel that their investments will keep losing value and might even lose everything they have invested.

But this is something that can rarely happen to Bitcoin investors, unless someone invests in some altcoins, where the value can drastically drop until the investor is left with not even 10–20% of their invested amount. If someone actually invests in Bitcoin, then there is nothing to panic about because we are not yet in the main bull market; it's only newbies that should even panic because they are not well experienced and educated about everything they need to know about Bitcoin. Even if the price drops, then it's a good opportunity to buy more and prepare for the bull market that has not even started.

That's the difference between Bitcoin and Altcoins thus, seasoned investors opt for Bitcoin over Altcoin when it comes to investment but we need to agree on one thing that Altcoin gives more returns than bitcoin but the volatility and risk factor is there that's the problem and one of the reason long term users stay away from Altcoins. Suppose we invest in Bitcoin and sle dumps ven to just 10% of capital still we know it will recover in upcoming years but with Altcoin we don't have that guarantee rather we don't even know if it will exist or not. Now coming to challenges with Altcoins is that every bullrun we see new set of altcoins getting pumped up and the one which outshined last time don't repeat the trend most often hence Altcoin is only for short term if you are actively involved in trading.

Sometimes experienced users make this mistake of going with Altcoins for longer run.
1515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start small and don't get tired of growing in the process. on: November 15, 2023, 06:19:56 PM
The important point here is why people come to the forum. Is their interest in Bitcoin real, or are they hoping to make money here? How can you get bored with something that interests you? In any activity, what we like always remains at the top of our preferences. Why persuade someone to endure, and force them to follow a path that may not be theirs? Bitcoin doesn't need people to be forced to learn it. Everything must happen sincerely.
But if we talk about the fact that someone is afraid to start something new, then it is always better to do and regret than not to do and regret. Always remember people who have achieved something in one direction or another. Can we say about them that they forced themselves to do this without real interest?

You have mentioned a very valid point as we cannot enforce Bitcoin down the throat of people who has no interest into it because once Bitcoin becomes mainstream it will anyways find followers and adopters and as far as reason for people using this forum is concerned I would categorize them into three part.

1. Passionate about Bitcoin: People are really passionate about Bitcoin and wants to spread awareness and wants to implement it into real life peer to peer transactions and also use it a an investment medium.
2. Just for some extra bucks: This set of people don't give a damn to bitcoin or crypto all they need is to earn some quick money through signature, bounty campaigns and airdrops.
3. Hybrid (Both point 1 & 2): A hard mix of both the above-mentioned points as this category of people wants to use Bitcoin for transaction, invest into Bitcoin and also wants to make quick money.
1516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of bitcoin price speculations on individual bitcoin holding on: November 15, 2023, 05:10:03 PM
If you are using DCA when investing in Bitcoin then you should not be influenced by any speculation in the market, you must be able to focus on your goal, that is buying Bitcoin regularly every month with the money you set, whatever the updated Bitcoin price. While speculation is usually used by traders as part of their fundamental analysis, with the increasing number of speculative news appearing, traders will definitely be very careful in making their final decisions to enter or exit the market.
Some people who use the DCA method in the investments they make of course have prepared themselves for all the situations they will face and also know the risks they will face in the investments they make so they will not be affected if they see speculation. other people do, they just wait to see when they can get a profit from the investment they make.

When trading, of course we have to be very careful in making a decision because if the decision we make is not right, we will certainly experience losses from the trade.

Yes, that's what differentiates full time trader with amateur traders and short term investors and all it requires is a proper execution based on DCA and one should not get carried away by temporary market volatility because anyone can be tempted by market situation and may go out of rule for some quick back which might not end well. That's why we say being a trader is not that easy and especially back in the days when trading bots were not widely used to be manual task unlike today and in my opinion if a person is using DCA he or she should never divert from that, I used combination of indicators and was earning decent profit but made similar mistake by getting carried out due to emotions and went through tough time.
1517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 15, 2023, 03:25:37 PM
Please share your opinions on common mistake newbie makes when market trends upward.
Most of these mistakes have been enumerated by members above me. I read through and some of them made me nostalgic. There's that innocence that comes with ignorance and old timers like us passed through them. Now that I look back, I can only suppress a chuckle at such level of ignorance I had. The top on the list was me thinking and assuming that those tokens (didn't even know the difference then between tokens and coins) in cents and hundred miles away from cents in zeroes would rise like Bitcoin or at least get to ETH or its classics 😂. Anyway, most of them performed well and gave nice ROI but they soon died off as soon as the bull season was over. I held many, hoping they would max out and turn my little $10 to $1000. The ambition was that crazy. I hedl and couldn't sell when price started dipping. I know many will fall into that same trap once the real rally kicks in.

Absolutely true, I think this bull run it won't be any different because we might see lot of shitcoins pumping up and people who ar aware of this will end up investing in it and tempted to earn more profits but end up with just tokens which are worthless and this mistake will be made by seasoned users as well due to greed.Lol I still remember hodling some tokens which I don't even remember which made me millionaire during December 2017 but the greed of earning more millions left me with tokens worth few dollars. but no harm in taking calculated risk with a predefined plan for profit margin. Just hope people don't fall for it this time like they did in 2018.
1518  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 15, 2023, 01:53:19 PM
Most of us especially this who has been aware and indulged into crypto through some or the other mean would have spent Bitcoin on silly things especially those who are sing it atleast since 2014, to talk about my experience I had purchased a desktop computer in 2016 through the saving I had with Bitcoin which I had actually earned by hodling it after being a part of signature campaign and I never thought Bitcoin would grow like this because back then bitcoin was more widely viewed as peer to peer payment transfer without involvement of third party and I think it was after 2015 Bitcoin gradually started increasing and 2017 changed it forever. Since I regret the moment I used Bitcoin to buy desktop I started invested into other crypto like XRP, Litecoin and ETH back then assuming they would reach same level as Bitcoin but bear market proved me wrong and now I just try to accumulate Bitcoins during bearish season and wait for bull run to cash out.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AN OVERVIEW OF LAUNCHPAD PROJECTS; ANY WORTHY PROJECTS TO LOOK OUT FOR? on: November 15, 2023, 12:59:46 PM
I have tried multiple times with launchpad projects I would suggest projects in Binance launchpad but I cannot recommend any particular one as I didn't have any fruitful experience in launchpad except an instance when I had to hodl BNB and it's value spike up. It's becoming really difficult to participate in these launchpad but still Binance launchpad would be my first preference because I have seen launchpad projects wither dumped before you could earn a decent profit or low liquidity I have tied few with Gate.io but those don't worth it.

We will see more such project in upcoming days due to possibilities of bullrun which has made crypto community very active sine a month and half which men more people will be in the urge of earning more and looking for things like launchpad projects, joining private/pre sale which also increases chances of scam projects. Hence, share it in forum if you are planning to join any project so that experts can review and share their opinion which might help you.
1520  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it difficult for people to get capital easily? on: November 14, 2023, 08:04:59 PM
There are hundreds and thousands of us with various ideas which are way better than current businesses but not everyone end up with capital or business and that's the bitter pill we have to swallow and this will remain same for upcoming days as well. There are various reason we fail to get capital and I have listed few of them below as I have witnessed in my life.

1. Approaching wrong set of people: Most of us look for investors within our family, friends and relatives this we miss out of potential inv stors who are outsid our comfort zone like venture capitalists.

2. Giving up without trying: Some of us just have the idea in mind but don't convert it into reality because we are too keen in just finding capital or investor instead we could start small and eventually once our success stories spread across we will have investors knocking out door (this is not applicable for all business and need minimum amount to start first without investors)

3. Existing financial burden: This is most common reason where we are so occupied with our jobs and enslaved that we cannot risk taking even one month break from our job because we cannot afford on our own without job. This is a situation where we cannot do much rather than learning new skill and switching for job which pays better and save money then start your business with minimal required.

4. Lack of knowledge on government schemes: There are countries where government have their own policies and programmes to help start ups find their capital and help them to set up the business with their own training and incubation program but most of us don't utilise it.
