1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bloody Year 2022 coming to End on: January 07, 2023, 02:41:05 PM
The truth is something must happen to cause the greatest correction after every new Bitcoin ATH, where that will come from doesn't matter unless you are new to crypto, I was expecting something like this to happen the moment BTC hit 67,000$ and this will keep happening after every new all time high, I won't expect much from this year until BTC halving takes place but it's definitely a great time to start accumulating BTC.
1502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: age 47 is it too late or not to invest in bitcoin.? on: January 07, 2023, 12:55:11 PM
I know someone on this forum that's 70 years old and he is a crypto miner with many asic mining machines, if someone like this can live his life with crypto mining and investing so can anyone even if they are old, but OP you are just 47 years old, why did you feel this is an old age? You still have many years ahead even if you start investing today, it only takes few years for Bitcoin to make new ATH again.
1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get a hardware wallet in a bitcoin banned country? on: January 07, 2023, 09:07:26 AM
OP where are you from? I am from Nigeria and I don't use services like DHL to get my ordered packages because they go through your goods, there are other shipping companies out there that delivers to your doorstep, and nobody will know what you order for.

If you are too scared then use offline wallets, I believe they can still be generated, Electrum wallet is also a very good choice.
1504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel comfortable with crypto exchange on: January 07, 2023, 07:19:23 AM
Everybody needs to fear crypto exchange without waiting for people to preach exchange is not good for storing bitcoin.   Remitano exchange is where I do buy bitcoin and sell bitcoin.  Sometimes it is very difficult to have access with this wallet to sell or buy bitcoin,  at times it takes 24hrs before one can logging this exchange. Just imagine exchange like this have some network issues like this and never gets back to normal again. This should be enough reason why people shouldn't store  bitcoin on exchange wallet.
Remitano? They are like the Paxful platform but very worse, why use them when you can just use Binance exchange? You can use Naira to buy bitcoin on Binance exchange and move to your hardware wallet, stay away from Remitano, they also cheat when it comes to fees and Naira to Dollar value, worst P2P service ever.

Please learn the difference between a centralized exchange and a decentralised exchange, it seems that you don't know the difference and it is very important for a newbie to understand this.

Also there is a difference between a closed a source crypto wallet and open source crypto wallet, you need to do your own research on these.
1505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Each time you see a red candle! on: January 07, 2023, 05:25:23 AM
Well said, this was the same strategy I used in 2017 and I end up selling 70% of my assets just to sustain myself, many people think that investing in crypto is a short term especially now that we are in a bear market, if you aren't preparing for a long term investors do not even try to invest.

This market can last another one and a half years before we start seeing good returns on investments, we haven't even gotten to the point where everyone will feel frustrated like in march 2020, I believe that we will see such again.

Be prepared.
1506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I dont worry too much about using closed source wallet on: January 06, 2023, 02:21:33 PM
I don't feel sorry for you because it seems you don't understand why open source is very important when keeping your funds or assets in your crypto wallet, the only one I trust is Electrum and Trust wallet, you don't want to trust closed source wallets, do you even understand what that means? They are completely not transparent.

Don't come back here and start screaming that crypto is scam, you've been warned.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to memorize seed phrase? on: January 06, 2023, 10:51:43 AM
No it's not, as you grow older day by day you will start forgetting some things, seed phrase is not like your Gmail account password, all words have to be in order or you lose access to your Bitcoin.

God forbids, what do you think will happen if an accident occurs that affects the way you think and it's going to take a long time to fully recover? I don't like this idea because I have think about it many times before, it won't work.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still think bitcoin is coming to an end? Then you must read this <3 on: January 06, 2023, 09:01:35 AM
Bitcoin has faced so many times like this before and proved to us that it wouldn't end like other crypto.
Just see how many companies have accepted it I am sure that it would survive and be back on it's glorious time.
It would take time for it to recover all we need to do is continue to support it.

I don't understand why people are so worked up by the fact that the media are pronouncing Bitcoin as dead again, if you have been in the market for sometime now (for atleast two bear market) then you would had understood that this is a regular occurrence whenever there's a bear market. The media sponsored by the government always looks for a way to discourage people from investing in Bitcoin as the more they do, the further they lose control over their citizens and a government without country is powerless.
Don't just invest in any opportunity because everyone is doing so instead study and understand what that opportunity is all about because if you understand how Bitcoin was built and works then you'll be assured of Bitcoin price rising again when we're in the bull market.
You have a point but you have only witnessed bear market twice like you said so how is that a regular occurrence? Have you not think that things won't always be the same? As time goes on and regulation becomes the only thing that keeps standing between Bitcoin and world acceptance what do you think will happen? Big adjustment will be born.
1509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies do not be fooled by developers on: January 06, 2023, 07:03:37 AM
Many projects are starting to show up, some are testnet phase as we speak but I am not interested in any because they are all same old projects with different names, I could say that developers think we are all fools but what about those investors that are too stupid to think and do good research?

Almost 99% of new projects are same copies of the old projects with different name, do not be a fool investors, spend time to do your own research.

Developers mostly don't have your interest at heart, we all know it's all about the money but they aren't doing something new that worth our money, make sure you do your diligent research.

I have read series of posts advising us to do our research very well before investing in any project but as newbie, most of us don't even know what to research. What are we to look into before getting to know if a project is cool or scam?
The help needed by the cryptocurrency newbies is not to be caution but how to be cautious of what to invest into.
Strange, most newbies I have come across have high interest in altcoins and you sound like you don't even know what to invest money on, it shows that you don't know much about crypto, it's better to spend your time doing some reading about crypto before anything.

We have coinmarketcap and coingecko, they are crypto platforms that have all the records of both new and old crypto projects, website links, token supply and so on.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and faster on: January 06, 2023, 06:08:16 AM
I can boldly say that Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and fast because Bitcoin transactions is been done through wallet, the only problem that may occur is if the wallet is not correct another challenge is if the transaction is been encountered with down network but this is in rare cases.
Its good for your online transactions but still banks will stat and they will continue to offer services as usual because fiat money is still needed and many are still hesitant to adopt cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. Regulation is preventing Bitcoin from taking its full capacity and we cannot blame them for doing this because Bitcoin is a big threat to the bank and that is the thing that they cannot accept easily.
How do you think that regulation will work for Bitcoin? The reason why Bitcoin was created is to give users the freedom from centralized power aka the government and everything about regulations smells government so I don't see how regulation will work here.

The only projects that can be regulated in crypto space are the likes of XRP and other centralized projects including crypto exchanges.
1511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Store your seed phrase offline on: January 05, 2023, 08:25:46 AM
No online password security will be as strong as storing offline, either it's 2FA or 3FA Authentication do not use them to store your wallet's private seed.

There is no malware, spyware or hackers without online/ internet access, think about it, the only way to stay safe is offline 100%.

Writing seeds down on a paper book or steel carving is the best practice ever.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 05, 2023, 05:49:05 AM
The size of your images are too big, kindly use height=400 to lower the size.

I have used BTC to invest in a Ponzi scheme called MMM years ago and I bought BTC worth of 200$ at the time, I am very sure the that value today will be in thousands of dollars, some times we learn the hardest way to gain more knowledge.

At least you still get your life going, you are still alive so you still have the chance to make a big difference someday, do not give up to, buy BTC and HOLd, we can see a new All Time High in 2025 or so.

1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2023, 09:45:22 AM
I think 2023 is a perfect year for crypto accumulation, crypto market will start gearing up for the next huge moves this year, Btc halving will also be another big boost for the market in April 2024. I refuse to be a sitting duck this year.

If you are a long-term investor like me make sure you put your mind on 2025 because I believe that's when we will see another ATH for bitcoin, always take advantage of the dips and they won't last forever.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 04, 2023, 06:34:14 AM
Happy Birthday  KING 👑 BTC

May all the inhabitants in every corners on mother earth have your love in mind and adopts yours precious Satoshis, more adoptions in coming years and more centralized wars to be defeated, Long Life and Prosperity KING.

Bitcointalk friends and famz,  what are your best bitcoin wishes in the coming years?

Do you think that with the lower inflation rate and upcoming halving Bitcoin can finally be put side by side with Gold?

Are there any possible ways that Bitcoin can be regulated without Nakamoto? I think only centralized exchanges will remain regulated and projects like Bitcoin can't be touched. What do you think?

Will banks and BTC forever remain enemies or something new will come up? I asked this because a BTC group bought an old bank 🏦 and I don't see any reason why.

1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin birthday reminder: You could have been a millionaire using this tool on: January 04, 2023, 05:44:35 AM
Who could have thought that Bitcoin will work out as intended? No one, that's why people sold their Bitcoin very early, I played with a few faucets years ago and I sold everything for less money, no regrets.

Today it's harder to sell Bitcoin because we have come to understand how valuable this asset is, Bitcoin is the hardest asset to get for free, it's the most scarce with very low inflation, mostly on par with Gold.

1517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Willing To Get Educated On The Bitcointalk Forum on: January 03, 2023, 05:09:12 PM
Hello there?
As a brand-new member of this community, I am really happy to have found it and eager to meet new individuals who can inform me about Bitcointalk.org.
As they say, "a single drop of water cannot make an ocean," I am eager to learn from anybody who is willing to help a brother and expose me to this platform. I recently joined Bitcointalk.org and now I realize there are many things to comprehend on this topic that I can't achieve on my own.
We are all newbies once upon a time, my advice is you should take your time to read the forum rules to avoid getting banned, if you are new to crypto I suggest you do your own research using google and if you have some parts that are unclear to you then create topics about them on the forum for users to drop their opinions, I bet you will be fine and you will get used to the forum as time goes by.

You are welcome to the forum.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with new projects that introduce new Stable coins on: January 03, 2023, 04:06:47 PM
I don't understand why there are so many stablecoins and why everyone wants to have one. It's pointless, and they most likely won't move the giants of this market.
How is having your money in stablecoin pointless? Do you even understand why Stablecoins existed? Judging from your comment it looks like you don't even know why every crypto investor needs Stablecoin, it is impossible to make gains holding Stablecoins but they keep your value in check, 1$ remains 1$ and while the market is dropping your money stays the same.

If you want go get the best deals on crypto in a bear market you need stablecoins to avoid volatility and buy when the opportunity arises.
1519  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 03, 2023, 09:59:30 AM
The next target now is 13k and yes it is possible and also may never come to reality, instead of trying to see how this will go it is better to start accumulating right now, things happen very fast in this market that's why it's dangerous to believe that you can find the bottom.

I am not expecting anything big this year and this may be the final bearish year for crypto since halving is in 2024 so I will just keep buying what I can and prepare for the future.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dev is not your friend, so be careful. on: January 03, 2023, 08:12:39 AM
If you see a new project and you are tempted to invest in it you are stupid because new projects require tough research first, there is a chance that the project is a scam so before clicking the buy button you have to be sure what you are getting into.

Developers are here to make money, let that sink into your head, if we turn the table around and you become a dev yourself will you work for free? So it's always about the money.
