1501  Other / Beginners & Help / A reminder to all new Bitcoin investors on: February 01, 2023, 07:03:02 PM
So I was day trading on Huobi exchange today and I come across a new update from the exchange with this beautiful information, I believe this is strictly for the new Bitcoin adopters

The image above is from Huobi exchange, it shows that now matter how good a new innovation is, the old ones won't want to see it prevail, they will ridicule it to the core, do not be fooled, technology is advancing and Bitcoin is simply the most reliable better digital currency and a big headache for the banks.

Stay away from any Bitcoin FUD and always remember that Bitcoin has faced death so many times and still prevails, this is beyond stoppable for the haters now, the only thing they are capable of is the CBDC and FUDs.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main Stream Media trying to defame Crypto / Bitcoin on: February 01, 2023, 05:41:10 PM
This type of news should means nothing to old crypto investors because we've seen this too many times in the past years, honestly, I have grown too tired of bad news about crypto because it's a buying tool for the manipulators, this is nothing more than pure price manipulation, only crypto newbies should be disturbed by such news.
1503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to store BTC on: February 01, 2023, 05:30:46 PM
The best way to store Bitcoin safely for long term is by using a hardware wallet, this is highly recommended for newbies but if you are a daily spender of Bitcoin just stick with Electrum wallet on your smartphone, hardware wallets are more secured and far more reliable, the device is always needed to access a transaction.

Make sure you buy a open source hardware wallet like Trezor.
1504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOPTOP MIMING on: February 01, 2023, 04:19:49 PM
If you really want to mine Bitcoin you can sell your Laptop and buy an Asic miner, it's too late to use Laptop or PC to mine Bitcoin today, we are still in a bear market and ASIC miners are not costly as they used used to in every Bull market, right now many Asic miners have flooded the market right you from Russia or China, if you are not from these two countries you can easily order for one using Aliexpress or Alibaba.

A used Ebit E12 with 44TH now costs roughly 270$ to 290$ which I believe your laptop should be able to cover. But electricity-wise, make sure that you have a cheap electricity bill in your home.

There is also the Innosilicon T2T turbo with 37TH but costs more than the E12, the lowest I got mine is 450$.

1505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you should avoid login Capthca of Bitcointalk and How to do it? on: February 01, 2023, 03:41:19 PM
This is the first time I will hear someone complaining about this forum Security Captcha, OP if you found this Captcha stressful then log into your account and do not log out, it is very simple, since I have registered on this forum I have never log out of my account once because there is no need to do such.

As for Opera Browser it sucks, the browser is full of ads and even if you use some ad blocker this browser won't work perfectly, it seems like Opera Browser is making money through the ads.
1506  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 06:12:48 PM
Bitcoin have died few times already and it's still alive today, I have never heard of altcoins coming back to life after death, this is what makes Bitcoin a survival of it's kind, many altcoins will keep facing the same fate over and over until Few ones are good for adding up to the list of possible payment gateway like the ISO20022 thing, now that AWS and Microsoft are gearing up to enter crypto yes I am certain that some altcoins will survive, Amazon already picked Avalanche but Bitcoin will always remain the best.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First thing i will do if Bitcoin become legal tender globally on: January 31, 2023, 05:11:02 PM

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU WILL DO IF BITCOIN BECOMES GLOBALLY ACCEPTED JUST LIKE THE INTERNET?
For me I will open my Bitcoin mining farm that will be public with a website and registered under the law for clients that will want third-party services that will align with global best practices of cryptography and digital asset management.

When Bitcoin becomes globally accepted in your country do not try to mine publicly, keep your mining farm to yourself because of greedy and bad people, when they know what you are doing you might be a target, there is a similar situation with someone I knew where five of his mining equipment went missing, he had to involved the police and it came out to be that his neighbor was behind it.

Later the police start questioning him what he uses the equipment for, he lied to them and the policemen ignored it, if they knew it generates income per day it's another problem, later he left the area and rented another apartment far away from the state.
1508  Economy / Speculation / FED seem like the most powerful manipulator overall on: January 31, 2023, 04:07:04 PM
Once upon a time I used to have no idea about the so called FED meeting while I was in crypto space but now everyone seems to be more interested in the FED as if they hold the key to where the market is heading, in fact it looks like the case, is FED not the greatest market manipulators to ever existed? Every people in crypto are now looking forward to February 1st for either a pump or a dump, depending on what the FED offers us. I feel like the FED has the power over everything stock or crypto.
1509  Other / Beginners & Help / I am having problem importing a old recovery seed on: January 31, 2023, 03:00:13 PM
Why is it that some crypto wallet supports only 12 recovery seed words and others more? I have a bitcoin wallet with 18 seed phrases and it's hard to see any mobile wallet supporting this number, I've tried Exodus, Bread and few others, but they only support 12 seed phrases, what am I not getting here and is there any other solution around this. Are there any reliable crypto wallet that supports the importation of 18 seed phrases?
1510  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tutorial How to import old paper wallet to electrum on: January 31, 2023, 01:59:18 PM
Some other ways to recover Bitcoin from old wallets with old formats. Electrum wallet is one of methods. Another one is using iancoleman's Mnemonic Code Converter.

The topic can help [overview] Recover Bitcoin from any old storage format

When you recover your wallets, do it offline.
Iancoleman is not recommendable for new crypto users because they can easily do something wrong, I also don't like the idea of typing your recovery seed into a website because you want to get the right private key for a particular address or others, since this website works online I don't recommend using the same wallet for storing funds anymore, typing your keys online is already a red flag for me.

If I have to recommend this iancoleman website to anyone it will be crypto experts or those who want to get the fund in the wallet out and never use the wallet address ever again.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What could be considered red flags with tokenomics of new projects? on: January 31, 2023, 12:35:33 PM
I have some questions about fund raising of new crypto projects and what could possibly be considered a red flag when checking out their tokenomics, especially the team allocation and fund raising, I hope this is the right section for this.

If a token supply of a project is 100 million and the team is taking 10 million for themselves is this a red flag? If No, how much is alarming allocation for team of a new project?

My second question is about the locked period of team token allocation, have this proven to be a better solution to avoid dumping from the team themselves?

If a new project successfully raised 3x of their target in any presale isn't that enough to get the project to where they plan? So why the need for the team to still acquire some token allocation for themselves?

Some will say that token allocation is for development, what about the money the project raised?

1512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: invest in bitcoin or altcoin? on: January 29, 2023, 11:59:38 AM
I have no problem with altcoins but Bitcoin is much a safer bet for newbies that's why your friend told you to go for Bitcoin instead, altcoins have higher ROI than Bitcoin but more risky, you can easily lose a lot of money investing on altcoins, you can also make a ton of money investing on altcoins so thread carefully friend, stick with Bitcoin for now and look into why altcoins make sense or not, some altcoins are so damn good and useful like Polkadot but you need to learn more about what you are getting into.
1513  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: January 29, 2023, 09:51:21 AM
I won't advise you to quit your job because your side hustle is paying more, some times we always feel like things will remain the same when it comes to making money but that's a lie, your side hustle can go awry some day and you will need a job to survive, do not rely on a side hustle and your job, they are both there to come in handy, if one fails the other will work, this should be the right way.

Incomes don't always stays the same, they go up and down or even stopped unexpectedly some times, if your job is paying then keep it, if your side hustle pays then keep both.
1514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 29, 2023, 08:24:31 AM
Op I would like to ask you one question, are your grandparents and uncles using a smartphone? That's one sure way to get the answer you need, most old people can't even operate a smartphone why would they have interest In Bitcoin and crypto? It is impossible, it's like saying 2+2 is the only way you can get 4 where 1+3 still equals 4, do not stress them and do not stress yourself either, not everyone has a father or parents that supports them even when they don't understand a thing about what their kids are into.
1515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My son, daughter, nephew wants to know about Bitcoin on: January 28, 2023, 08:12:43 PM
I will like to ask you a question, are the kids showing any interest in Bitcoin? If they are not, do not teach them anything because it could be a distraction for them, like you said, they are still kids, let their excitement about Bitcoin be the reason you are teaching, they will be able to learn fast and follow simple examples you made for them.

Put aside the trading first and go for keeping their wallet safe, then how to do transactions from one wallet to other wallet, follow by holding, in time the rest will follow.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I found long forgotten sats in my wallet but. on: January 28, 2023, 07:14:02 PM
I have some Bitcoin in my old coinomi wallet, the amount is not much as it's in Sats but I want to know if I can make transfer to any bitcoin address on Binance exchange for example, my BTC address is three in number, Default starts with bc1, compatible starts with 3C, legacy starts with 14, since Binance deposit address did not differentiate it like this does it mean I can send with no issue?
1517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can old people use bitcoin? on: January 28, 2023, 06:11:02 PM
If they don't develop an interest do not walk up to them and try to confuse them, they will never understand no matter how much you want them to, I believe that innovation like Bitcoin and crypto is meant for the coming generation not the old people, though few of them still want to be a part, I've seen 60 years old man building crypto mining farm and storing BTC and Ethereum.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this safe to say this about casino platforms on: January 28, 2023, 04:11:55 PM
I've read so many replies in this thread and many are saying that casinos have funds to start paying winners even if they open today but let's not forget about what happened to centralized crypto exchanges, they keep moving money around themselves, they are claiming they have so so amount of money but they don't, lack of zero prove of fund is why the mess of FTX got so bad, not all Casino CEO are pure and its not different from how exchanges runs things behind the scene.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Approximately 384 Days until the next Bitcoin halving on: January 28, 2023, 03:09:49 PM
I am not interested in this count down because I don't want to move fast, we still have a full year and few days, that's enough for some accumulation but looking at the count down timer time to time will put me under pressure, since the law of crypto investment is to invest only what you can afford to lose then I really need to take things slow, there is no point in rushing, also after the halving it doesn't mean that price will instantly start to surge, it will take few months and uptrend will start climbing.
1520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel comfortable with crypto exchange on: January 27, 2023, 12:57:17 PM
Remitano, Luno and Paxful are not real P2P exchanges because they force all their users to pass KYC first, this is why I won't recommend such platform for newbies who are looking for real P2P platform, but this doesn't mean the platforms are not working as intended, it's actually a matter of users choice, I have used Remitano and Luno with no issue but lost money using Paxful, there are better options out there though.
