Starting a process on either OS is pretty easy from either Task Scheduler or cron.
Stopping them is a little harder. I'm not sure about windows 7, but in previous versions you can set maximum running time for a sheduled task, after which it will be killed automatically. |

hmm honestly I dont know how to read what it says when i click on the date or my wallet number. heres what it says though for the date when clicked:

thanks If the bitcoincharts site says that coins are in your wallet already then it's ok. If you still don't see them in your bitcoin client then you may have not downloaded the entire blockchain or you may need to rescan it. I just checked myself - your money are in your wallet. |

i cashed out 12 yesterday night with my ipod touch on safari for the first time, not sure if that might be the problem

i think it might be the ipod but iunno I don't think that it may me caused by ipod. What do you see when you click on the date and the wallet address ? If you click on the date and blockexplorer shows "transaction not found" - can you find this transaction in the queue ? - http://www.bitcoincharts.com/bitcoinIf it's in the blockexplorer or the queue, then everything is fine (you may need to wait a bit for it to make it's way from queue to blockchain). I tried to mine on Windows Server 2003 but ATI Stream SDK refused to work.
Later I found that it was installed on a flash drive instead of system disk :) But I don't think that was the reason.

Would a solo rig connected at 1G/s have a mining advantage over a rig with 1M/s?
Or how about a dial up (14.4K/s)?
Why or why not? It doesn't matters for solo mining, at least if you can receive information about new blocks. You don't need fast connection even for pool mining :) |

Just curious why the automatic payout seems so random? Sometimes it happens more than once per day, sometimes the payout isnt automatic for greater than 24h. I'm sure there's a reason just curious what it might be? Well, actually there is no reason :) Sometimes I run the payments manually to test if it's working after fixing something. But usually it should not pay automatically before 24 hours. You don't need to worry while your money is not lost :) I understand that some of you may use 24h-payments to measure daily income, then sorry for out-of-shedule ones. I'll add "daily income" table soon. |

I've had alot of those "none"s too It depends on your hashrate and payout mode. In PPS mode it should be always "none" because PPS is not connected with blocks. What is your hashrate ? Quick question from a newbie: is there a general consensus on the hashrate where proportional is more profitable than PPS (or vice versa) over the long-term? It doesn't depends on your hashrate, only on pool's luck. With PPS your income is always constant. With Proportional it will be more at normal and gool luck or less at bad luck times. |

Thanks for the reply, im using the new windows GUI interface with a 6990, usage never drops through afterburner and hash rate (according to clint never wavers too much at all) is this a client problem? do I need to ask nicely for them to fix it? (Im doing Pay per share - which is why it matters) Set your averaging window to 30 minutes in advanced settings and try again - then luck meter will be more precise. Short drops or peaks are absolutely normal because sometimes you are more lucky and sometimes not. |

Is there any explanation why i never go below 700 in my mining client, but frequently recently go too 500 mhash/s in the stats?
If you are using proportional mode - look at your history column for more realistic speed guesstimation. Also you may be using phoenix miner, many users reported that it's internal hashrate meter may show higher values. I have noticed a lot of communication failures to the pool. I see the hash rate drop suddenly [and my fan quiet down and a second later everything is back to normal.

кстати, обратите внимание что вымогают не $5000 / $2.5 курс = 2500 BTC а именно доллары Курс 3-3.5 сейчас, уж точно не 2.5 :) |

I have a question though, do I put all my machines on the same worker, is this a bad thing? I'm rather curious if I should split them up...
does it matter? Or is it just a preference for you guys to keep track of each rig?
If you don't use the long polling, you can put unlimited number of miners on the same worker credentials. If your client supports long polling then I would recommend creating new worker account for each 10 miners (there is a trigger that suspects LP malfunction if you use more than 20 LP clients on one worker, but if you really need more - I can disable it by request). |

Убедился, шар нету. Имя краснее некуда.
что дальше делать? Какая именно скорость ? И какая видеокарта ? Если 2 МХ/с, например, то понадобится в среднем более получаса на каждую шару. При 10 МХ/с - около 7 минут. Если скорость достаточно высокая, а шар всё равно нет - проверить, правильно ли написано имя и пароль в минере, выбран ли нужный пул в нём, включить консоль и посмотреть наличие в ней ошибок. |

Я может что-то не понимаю. Зарегился. скачал guiminer. все хорошо. некие мегахеши в секунду показывает в программе. на сайте же в личном кабинете

Измеритель удачи будет показывать неточные данные если скорость майнинга слишком низкая - меньше 30 Мх, например. На странице настроек в данном случае рекомендую увеличить интервал замера до максимума - 30 минут. Во-вторых - надо убедиться что шары действительно поступают - по счётчику шар в таблице воркеров на личной странице. Имя воркера станет синим, если он получил хоть одну шару за последние 30 минут. |

Это колонка истории блоков. Там показаны семь последних найденных блоков и сумма заработка в пропорциональном режиме за последние 24 часа. Если пользователь работал в пропорциональном режиме - то там указано, сколько шар из общего количества за тот раунд он нашёл, сколько БТЦ получил и какова была средняя скорость за раунд. |

1) а как включается этот "русский" интерфейс? У меня все на английском. Не то, чтобы меня это напрягало - но любопытно поглядеть :)
На странице Advanced settings есть переключатель. Чтобы попасть туда из английского интерфейса, надо нажать кнопку "Advanced..." в личном разделе. Для новых пользователей будет предлагаться автоматически, если их браузер запрашивает русский язык через заголовок Accept language[/quote] 2) в новостях написано, что "realtime chat support" - это где? Это в виджете, который появляется внизу страницы когда я в онлайне. Пока доступно не круглые сутки. 3) есть ли возможность открыть какой-нибудь "левый" порт, кроме 8332 (на работе я узник файрвола, но есть пара открытых портов) Об этом ещё никто не просил. Сегодня обдумаю и отвечу. 8080 открыт ? Какие там ещё могут быть... |
