1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 28, 2023, 05:52:57 AM
Not just memecoins but many shady stuff actually spread by rumors and hype marketing and this needs to be understood by traders. In fact diligent traders immediately use this as a red flag sign on that project and dont look back at it ever again. However newbies are the ones who are regular targets and the project is also aimed at them. These are mostly the get-rich-quick youngsters getting their hand dirty in crypto for the first time.

It is difficult to stop them but dont hesitate to educate someone about the pros and cons of hype based marketed projects. Eventually they will either leave or learn and stop investing in such projects.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STAGNATION OF BITCOIN PRICE FOR WEEKS on: May 27, 2023, 04:32:06 PM
Let the price remain it will not after a certain time. I would say enjoy the stagnation while it lasts, because this can be a time to decide about assets other than crypto and accumulate them rather than waste time pondering what will happen to bitcoin.

Because the chances are binary - it will either rise or will drop. If it rises wait for it break even and then sell crossing your buying point and if it drops buy more when you feel comfortable.

Keeping your money in more assets gives you the advantage to not get frustrated over one market. You could be focusing on another one while bitcoin makes its move and then you can respond. Dont get anxious about why it is stagnant, it is a game of patience.
1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Campaign on: May 27, 2023, 03:49:39 PM
The piggy bank looks cool with the orange bitcoin logo on a black background - but the shape looks more like a soda can/syrup can than a piggy - recommend more designs in this regard to attract the younger generation. You could also add in a small piece of package insert where you can explain about bitcoin and how it works and so on in order to make the buyer inquisitive about bitcoin and its use. Then only they will check what it is and not just keep the piggy for collecting fiat coins.

Maybe you can upscale this into a small business where you are selling bitcoin-based merch and have a youtube channel linked to that where you give short explaining videos about bitcoin and how you have profited from investing in it. The list is endless if you are creative enough. Just dont go down the shitcoin influencer route. Cool

Any sort of support towards bitcoin or spreading the name of bitcoin among public gets the thumbs up from my side. I think we all should in order to grow this community with small bits of positivity to those who are trying to make a change.
1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: May 26, 2023, 02:51:33 PM
We can see how the simple the answer is by seeing how many people said spot trading, because the answer is obvious. If only people were listening to the obvious answers. However, I have been seeing a ton of people who gave ads to their futures trading reels on instagram, they are all like "do you want to become a millionaire!!!" and after that it is all about believing them or not, because the question is so simple, but the reality is that you shouldn't believe them, they are not going to make you rich.
People like to believe that dream like state to be real and achieveable through minimum effort and thus the attraction to go for the more risky methods of trading without learning how things work on the market and on social media.

On social media ShitcoInfluencers attempt to promote their affiliate links through making of reels and showing off their earnings to catch the naive population of youngersters. This leads to them making rash decisions and putting their money in such shitcoins only to lose and end up giving 20-30% of that as affiliate commission to that charlatan.

Of course we cannot stop this just by discussing here, some idiots will continue to make such mistakes but those who will learn will survive in the long run.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: May 26, 2023, 02:45:59 PM
And Staking isn't that profitable too, the tokens or coins that are trusted and deserve holding would barely provide you with a high APR which isn't worth it, and if a token or a platform is providing a very high APR for a certain token or a coin, that cannot be trusted or chances are that if you purchase and stake that token, it will most likely lose value by the time your tokens are released from the pool.
The trust issue is real here and should indeed be asked by every trader because of the number of endless scams and rugpulls we find everyday. Staking on a wallet which is not under our control can shut down all of a sudden and we would essentially lose access to those coins. Like we say, not our keys, not our coins.

Quote
If someone has tokens or coins that are worth more than a few hundred dollars, it is much better if they trade with that money instead of staking them and waiting to get very tiny amounts of interest every day for a year or so.
Definitely better to trade on those coins rather than waste your time on staking. You would be making good returns and cycling those shitcoins over time as compared to being stuck on a single place.

I could compare the bankroll investments that some gambling sites offered at one to staking. But they were far better than shitcoins.
1506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need signal service on: May 26, 2023, 08:57:11 AM
Most people who run these signals group are scammers. They make a fool of the people who are joining these groups by telling them false facts and manipulate their views on some altcoin, which they are trying to sell. So they get a good price to sell at but the buyer buys at inflated price. The end result is same because the owners make money from the incoming investors while the latter is going to lose their money.

This is how every signal group works. Maybe the concept was not supposed to be like this but the scammers understood that it is easy to scam newbies like this and thus they propagate it.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: May 25, 2023, 03:34:48 PM
Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?
If you already own altcoins, at the next altcoin bull run you should sell and not hold them for too long. Depending on how "recent" the altcoin is, because very old altcoins that have been here for years like Litecoin/Ethereum/DOGE you can sell a part and try to buy back at next bear run - while shitcoin recently launched should be dumped as early as possible on the next rise.

But I dont get why you are saying that next year would be a bull run, we cannot predict those and we can only hope.
1508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your favorite season to trade cryptocurrency? on: May 25, 2023, 03:32:34 PM
Which season is better for trading, the bull or the bear?
Your question is wrong mate, no season is better but both times have their own significance to trading.

Bear market - the prices are down and the trader's mindset is on the selling perspective even if at a loss. This is the time you buy at a discounted price.
Bull market - the prices are up and the trader's mindset is on the buying perspective. This is the time to sell at inflated prices.

What the market thinks is usually what you should move against. Then only you can profit. What whales do is they try to manipulate the market to move in one direction so they can move the opposite in the background.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 25, 2023, 03:27:47 PM
If I look at it from his wife's perspective, this is natural considering that he is the head of the household and spending a lot of money just for gambling is quite wrong because he still has children and a wife who need living expenses. Not to mention he has the responsibility as a man to be responsible for the education and health of his children and many other things and that makes gambling a lot of money quite wrong for him.
From the wife's perspective, she is worried about the future of their family and that is a normal thing. Watching the earned money get wasted by a member of the family leads to disharmony and this is not just the husband, often the kids grow up and they start doing things that cost money but are wasteful and then bigger problems come in the household.

These things often propagate, meaning the father gambling in the house leads to the kids watching it and then they start gambling with borrowed money from parents which leads them becoming addicted gamblers too. The lady of the house has to suffer all through out this and face the debt.

This might seem pessimistic to many readers, but like I said, moderation to gambling can be done and can prevent such a scenario.
1510  Local / India / Re: Why Indians are the second biggest buyer of Meme Coins? on: May 25, 2023, 03:20:16 PM
Just consider an average Indian's monthly salary and compare the price of 1BTC or 1ShitCoin (substitute that for any one of those).

You will immediately realize that the cost of buying 1BTC is close to (or even more) a full month salary - how do you expect them to go for that when instead they could just buy tonnes of that shitcoin. After all for the inexperienced newbies, bigger number of units = more profits. They dont get it that bitcoin even in fractional amounts need to be accumulated and that 1BTC is a huge number anyway.

But explaining this to the younger generation who lack patience and the habit of doing back ground research is tough. Add on top the shitcoinFluencers and you have a hot cake to sell.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 24, 2023, 04:04:18 PM
I havent had such a problem, but I have heard many families breaking down because of gambling problems and it is usually the male partner who is the gambler. Similar problems exist with chronic alcoholics and drug addicts leading to dysfunctional families. I dont want to compare these groups as similar but the effect is all the more same.

I think moderation is the key here and if done properly one can enjoy the fun in such activities while giving time to family too and then this type of disharmony could be minimized.
1512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: May 24, 2023, 04:00:46 PM
OP is doing the long term game of buying low and selling high, it is safe and easy to manage for a busy individual who has a job that usually takes up the day hours. It is also the method told to newbies as a starting off attempt in the exchange and their trading journey.

Keeping focus on a BTC/Stablecoin pair essentially means using fiat to buy/sell it, this is advantageous than using another altcoin which might be influenced by its secondary markets against other crypto. Although this choice will vary among other users based on the acceptance of stablecoins among the community.

I think most of the long term traders would agree with the OP but maybe not on the stablecoin part.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 2 questions that bother me on: May 24, 2023, 03:51:43 PM
While it is true as you imply that Venture Capitalist (VC) tend to sell their tokens below the presale price, this is not always the case. They may have a variety of reasons to sell their tokens, including diversifying their portfolio or taking profits. Additionally, some VC may have lock-up periods or other restrictions that prevent them from selling tokens immediately after launch. Normally the price at the time the token is launched, factors like market demand, utility, and overall market sentiment play an important role I think.
VCs are coming in for the profit not for the welfare of the rest of the investors. They do have lock in periods and these are never declared to public investors but only inside closed door meeting with the VCs. Once that lock in period ends, they dump immediately and cash out of the project. That is the major time when the project loses ground and the investors are left with nothing but dust because the projects rarely come out of that dump.

This has been the reality with many projects if you look through the history. One of the reasons why you should give a project a couple of years before investing and if invested early, exit early too.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 23, 2023, 10:25:12 AM
If you're interested at Bitcoin of course it would be better to do your own research about it since you've asked here in the forum, I could say that Bitcoin is a digital currency where you could do some investing and trading with the it's volatility which the reason why risk are involved. But the most important thing is you consider yourself want to invest from yourself and you wouldn't rely to the others people call since it's your money at stake.
I think the biggest reason is the nature of Bitcoin being decentralised and censorship resistant. The government tries to centralize the banking system while this is an alternative to it. The very easy of sending Bitcoin to anybody in the world without restriction comes as breeze of fresh air to many of us. If this is something we can propagate further we might see local shops accepting it then there will disruption in the banking sector.

This idea should itself be a big impetus to anyone new to this sector and is willing to invest in crypto. The profits from trading Bitcoin comes secondary to it.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: May 23, 2023, 10:13:44 AM
everyone should know investing in shitcoin in general speculative but also more of wasting money, only 1 out of 1000 gonna give you massive profits, everyone thinking they could become rich overnight are delusional unless they got really lucky.
Humans love to stay in a fantasy world where they everything at the easy with profits from altcoins as one of them.Bitcoin itself is one enough asset to trade on and they are burdening themselves with another coin. Very few newly launched altcoins have been making to the top ten list on aggregator sites and those have become long term goals for most people. The coins from scuh projects are often compared to bitcoin for their price but memecoins are nowhere near them.

If interested in memecoins please give them some time at least 2y time period to cover their shady activities and then put money on them.
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: May 23, 2023, 09:53:40 AM
what is difficult in trading correctly is getting consistent profits, trading is not just selling and buying, but if we have done that, of course we have to determine when to sell and when to buy, not to mention the psychological pressure that must be faced so that it fits our original plan in doing so. trading. but don't worry, because every trader will of course go through this phase at first, and it depends on whether we are able or not to get through that hurdle
Seasoned traders rarely have profiting streaks for long. But they keep repeating what they have been doing for years and not stop after seeing a bad trend or a losing prediction. Their consistency makes them different from others and it's not that are born with a bitcoin spoon at birth. The number of correct trades is not easy to say and it can increase with time and practice but is never hundred percent rather close to that.

I think we should focus more on being consistent and not consisten profits. That reduces the greed and also the bad habits related to speculative trading.
1517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading constitution. on: May 22, 2023, 10:13:04 AM
For trade profits management we should need more experience with full heart risk confidence. Otherwise we Couldn't make any profits from trade. When i loss 200$ something of trade then i will put stop because less money in my pocket. But if you have money then trade best option for making daily profitable.
I think daily trading may not be profitable for everyone if they are not taking time to look through what went wrong with the previous trades. It's just like practice and putting in logs on how you are performing would definitely help if done correctly or dummy trading for that matter. Risk is equating to a reward but if done without experience can lead to fatal consequences and this never recommended for newbies. The ones who are taking risk and making money are rare and you should not try to copy them because there are a lot of background things that we don't know of, many of them are drowning in loans and those are only few profitable trades that they are showing.

I say cut your trade according to your earning. Don't spend more than 10% of your income on trading in total, these are not hard and fast rules but guides to help you come through.
1518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need signal service on: May 22, 2023, 10:04:30 AM
I advise you to learn how to work with signals yourself, this will give a much more positive result. Otherwise, it will be quite difficult to depend on someone else's signals.
Why work with signals when it is known that they are fake and only created to make a fool out of the newbies seeking the same?

Because the mentality of easy money prevails among people commonly there comes in scams that predate on such minds. One such is this signal channels and another fine example is the sportbetting picks. Both are easy to create and easy to cook up and then made popular on social media.

Newbies search for them instead of learning how to analyse markets and then get scammed through membership fees and buying shitcoins when they pump while the owners dump. It is an easy tactic to scam someone and difficult to challenge on court.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 22, 2023, 09:57:50 AM
To most people Crypto is just a means to make a living, 99% of people that got involved in Crypto don't know how to analyze a project so advising them to do due diligence before investing in a coin or tokens is a waste of time, what I advise people to do is play the herb. To make money in this space you need to follow the herb, what is the next thing the market is going to start shilling, just look at the crazy Memecoin movement we just had, Pepe hit more than $1 billion Market-cap within days, what analysis will tell you to invest in a Memes
I think many people entered crypto in this forum for earning but many are there who have investments and are looking for the long term gains. Altcoins and others have only been here for short term gains. Memecoins have only been here for scamming it's investors to be honest. The reason they are created is for their owners and advisors to make money. They will shut down before you know it and you will be left with a shitcoin with non value or liquidity to sell at. If investors knew how to analyse the projects, it's team and their background they would quickly realise that th project would be a scam in a few months.

Trading on altcoins should therefore not be a method to make money rather a side hustle. Bitcoin trading can be a long term hustle.
1520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical indicators vs the News on: May 22, 2023, 09:43:01 AM
Yes, no doubt about it. For a kind of person like me who doesn't really into TA I mean I am not so expert in TA I rely mostly on the news. I spend time checking Twitter, telegram and other news outlet such as Bloomberg. It really helps me to decide whether I will buy that certain token or coin or should I make DCA. But then we should learn TA of course and some other trading instrument so we can trade efficiently.
Technical analysis helps but it is only useful in 50% of cases. There are day traders who trade on many TA indicators but the end result is mostly same as compared with playing it with Fundamental, more so because most such day traders don't make huge amounts every day but the cumulative amounts vary.

However social media should be treated with caution because the influencers often look for their own profits and not the interest of their followers. Staying in the long term is way safer and better than compared to short term and staying on TA. Never use TA for predicting because it will mislead you mostly.
