Very pleased to publicly admit my prediction was wrong ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) At least the first part (about the crash). Still 100% confident about the 'rise much higher' part. But the second part was depended on pevious crash. How can you be right here ? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Back in April of this year I bought my first bit coins. I tried to buy some Terracoins from Btce exchange and unwittingly sent .5 btc to my terra coin wallet address. Mistake! Ever since my bit coin has been stuck in the block chain in 'Not Yet Redeemed' status. Any ideas how I can get my bit coin back into my bit coin wallet. Btce says they can't help. Nor will Blockchain.info help where I have my bit coin wallet. Any ideas how i can retrieve my coin or is it lost forever.
Make backups BTC and TRC wallet Try use pywallet and read TRC wallet.dat private key of the address you send your BTC to import this private key to Bitcoin-qt using console, or in blockchain.info

If btc becomes worldwidely used. And if the price becomes higher than 500 usd by the end of the year. If BTC becomes worldwidely used (like PayPal) we will be talking about 5 digit numbers in my opinion

As long as your passphrase for your Bitcoin wallet is good anyone hacking your computer would also need to hack into your wallet file. Or wait when you type the passphrase for your Bitcoin wallet and recording with keylogger. Once hacked, your computer is not safe anymore

Is backing up my wallet just in case I have a crash on my main computer? This. All what backup is doing is copy the wallet.dat to location you select. Put backup somewhre out of your HDD in the case the HDD dies

What if a person wanted to store larger amounts than the small amounts you refer to? What would they do?
Save these in cold wallet like armory offline or print paper wallet if you dont plan use it for longer period of time

Is it safe to have people send BTC right to your wallet? What would the advantage be of using Bitstamp.net?
You may use Bitstamp.net BTC address if you plan to cashout the BTC anyway

$300 definitively. The Bitcoin is very young, just 5 years old. Imagine what all might happen in another 5 years

I'm pretty sure they are just basic computers, would it make more sense to join a pool still or just solo mine on all of them?
Im pretty sure pool is better, if you connect only to slow clients, you may get higher stale ratio, worse than paying pool fee

If they tried buying all the BTC and scrapping it, miners would just keep mining and create some more, only with a ton less supply and a fan-fucking-tastic pricetag. All it'd do is make everybody and their stepsister's great aunt mine as fast as possible. Not to mention making all the early adopters really rich. Also, there'd likely be people who wouldn't sell, or people who forgot, and coins that just got thrown away that nobody will ever know who owns.
All this talk of moving to an altcoin is weird and random. There is a reason why Bitcoin is produced over time and its not just to reward miners. Its because it makes logical sense for a number of reasons, this being one of them.
If you want to take down BTC, you're going to have to try and 51% it. Otherwise, its infallible.
Should be easy for them to 51%, first they need to shut down those ASIC producing company and confiscate all their machines. Then use their machines to produce lots of ASIC and bam!!! Good plan, but ASIC producing companies are china based, out of US Govt reach
