15001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 175 Quadrillion Zimbabwean Dollars Now Equals 0.02164502 BTC on: June 19, 2015, 07:40:22 AM
Zimbabwe is so poor, their official alt coin is divisible by 1 million decimal places.

you are joking, but i think that zinbabwe could actually benefit from any altcoin, they could start pumping some of those death coins, and take more profit than their toilet paper

are they technological advanced enough, because it is strange that they are not interested in crypto currency, any poor state should turn its attention to bitcoin or atlcoin at least
15002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: June 19, 2015, 07:37:23 AM
No fiat currency has suffered such a crash.

I don't recall any fiat currency rising from zero to $1200 either.

you should see the initial value of the first fait currency it was probably very high, because there were a strong demand for something that could get rid of barter altogether

bitcoin is like that it is comparable with the first launch of fiat, then "altfiat" come in to play, and fiat become overall stable, it is happening again but with crypto coin
15003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2015, 07:34:34 AM
the best way is to invest on good altcoins as to sell btc on high and buy more when they lower.... altcoins are getting a good investment on them over 100btc trades as 300 btc on them soo must be online and get in and out in small positions.... this can be done easy on 3 hours with proof

But don't you think that altcoins are too risky to invest in? As I have never used altcoins neither have invested in it have only heard that it is more volatile then bitcoins and there are chances that you may go through the losses in future.
yes, investing in altcoin market has high risks. but remember with high risks comes great rewards. go check out some of the altcoin's price charts and see for yourself that how much profit and opportunity is available in that market.
i am not saying that it is easy and whoever enters will be rich. all i am saying is that it is possible to earn a good profit from altcoin trading with some work and research.

don't invest in altcoin trading, invest in altcoin mining a bit, like 1-two graphic card, and aim at coins that are fresh new, just launched, repeat it endless, the only downside is that it require much time, but it is profitable
15004  Economy / Speculation / Re: [FANTASY] What if.. Greece adopts Bitcoin as the official currency? on: June 19, 2015, 07:32:05 AM
not a new argument, sometims i feel like dejavu here in bitcointalk, the same argumen over and over again...anyway how they can adopt it, if they are in a bad economic situation, they need to buy bitcoin first, and they cannot do it, with the misery that they have

but one thing is certain, if some big government that need desperately money can buy massively a coin like bitcoin, thus starting a panic buy chain, that will rise the price to an unbelievable level, they could potentially take a good profit from it
15005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitreserve: using Bitcoin to replace your bank on: June 19, 2015, 07:25:35 AM
how you can avoid volatility if you lose your number of bitcoin, if before you have exchanged them to fiat they were at higher price and than they fall, it look like bullshit claim as usual, volatily cannot be avoided until fully adoption is complete

also the point of bitcoin for me is to get rid of fiat, there is no point in bitcoin if i need to convert it all the time

they should start focusing on service that make it as easy as possible to recieve bitcoin payment for everyone in the world

the only thing thatshould be done right now, is helping global adoption to succeed, so even a small business man like  afruit vendor near your house, can accept bitcoin
15006  Economy / Speculation / Re: is another bubble coming? on: June 19, 2015, 07:20:52 AM
while another bubble is going to happen in the future, i don't think that we can call the recent movement the beginning of the bubble.
so to answer your question it seems to me that this is the stop for the time being.

it was only a price correction, which is good,

basically we stayed too much time in the same range, and the price was a bit forced to move upward, now if we can repeat this without stopping or turning back, in the end we should eventually rise to a good point
15007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I let my last credit/debit card expire this month on: June 19, 2015, 07:18:23 AM
I solved the Amazon Fire stick thing using bitcoins.

Went to ebay and found a fire stick and the guy shipped worldwide. I ordered it for $43.97. I went to gyft.com and bought a $45 ebay gift card (found out later I could have saved $1 using egifter.com which lets you order down to the dollar). I put the gift code in and the purchase amount changed to $0. I still had to log in with my PayPal account to "pay" zero dollars.

The fire stick showed up yesterday.

I don't really want a PayPal account though. I just got charged over $100 for my Rosetta Stone subscription through PayPal. I thought it had ended.

I get a few e-mails here and there from companies telling me that my credit card on file needs to be updated. A small charge here and there from some service I signed up for would pop up at times and I'd just live with it because it's always such a hassle to cancel a service. Now I can just let them send me e-mails.

too much hassle for me, i think i'll just wait for amazon to accept bitcoin, they will end up there eventually, it is only a matter of when the 8mb will kick in

it is the only e-commerce that is holding me off from going fully bitcoin, this and maybe some taxes bitcoin service for euro
15008  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin startup taxation on: June 19, 2015, 07:14:32 AM
how they can track back something like monero? not to mention any others random coin that can emerge every day, it's impossible to follow that shit, plus the coin that you see in the altsection are not all the possible existing coins

They can't track Monero, Dash, or even Bitcoin (if you wash the coins). But you must report every capital gain and loss with the current laws, and I don't want to be charged with money laundering/tax evasion.  Wink

Although I do want to pay the minimum amount of taxes possible, I was hoping I could use my Bitcoin earnings to purchase investment properties and avoid the capital gain taxation (1031 loophole) but this isn't currently possible. Even though both are considered property unfortunately they aren't 'like-kind'

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_Revenue_Code_section_1031

But i'll ask this again: How do you report gains if you keep track of it? who in their sane mind has keep track of eeevery single transaction ever? specially as a daytrader, and specially when tons of them happened in defunct exchanges where the databases are lost forever... how then?

usually the exchange on which you trade, will report everything, there is a trade history, withdrawal history and deposit history, you only need a screen of this and you're done i think

the same can be done if you operate on multiple exchange or you are a miner, signature campign that run bot also keep track of your income(well this is easy you just have your TX coming in your wallet)
15009  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New bitcoin technology can tell banks where coins come from with incredible accu on: June 19, 2015, 07:12:25 AM
we still have altcoin, and plenty of tool for dismantling this, no matter how much they will try, crypto are here and aim at being fully anon, and they cannot do nothing to it

but if you think about it a even more anonymous coin than monero or dash, is a coin that no one kown about, for example a new coin based on ring signature that isn't advertised here or in any other website, and just used by few people to to hide their tracks
15010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17-year-old Bitcoiner faces prison for tweeting about... You guessed it! Bitcoin on: June 19, 2015, 07:08:32 AM
there was a similar case of a minor guy that was insulting someone else when they were playing on counter strike and a received a complaint, and afterward he faced prison as well

15011  Economy / Economics / Re: Platform to open a fund and sell shares on: June 19, 2015, 07:03:16 AM
Cryptostocks, besides its legitimacy, seems good, but it does offer a very low volume, and ltc volume is almost absent, i think it's better to create your own project about this maybe starting a business here on bitcointalk, than searching for almost died website

and i can't find nothing else with this subject, probably because it isn't a thing that raise so much interest
15012  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy vs EARTH how will be the future? on: June 19, 2015, 06:54:16 AM
Can they go together? for a better future

yes it is feasible, check Mars one, it is a very interesting project

there are 100 partecipant, that will be sent on mars in the 2025, then after those, other 10 people will be sent every year, and they will start to colonize mars there, by deplying a heavy structure like the one in alien 2

no one of those will return anymore it is one way trip
15013  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep buying bonds when the government is in debt? on: June 19, 2015, 06:51:43 AM
Isn't it a greater risk to buy bonds when the government is in debt?

Government will never default, they would just print some money to pay back the debt, so the risk of default is almost 0

Many investors have so much money that they don't even bother risk it, even a small interest will give them millions of dollars of income per year. And typically it is the central bank who buy large amount of government bonds to adjust the money supply

the only risk it could be if the gov is corrupted or if the gov of your country get bankrupt, but it is not somethign that happen over night

in the worst case you can sell with a small loss, because the spread is usually very minimal, seeing how they play with a very small interest even below 1%
15014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you use your paper wallets for? on: June 19, 2015, 06:24:07 AM
I just found out that you can't withdraw a designated amount of Bitcoin from paper wallets, you can only sweep or import them.

This seems kind of weird to me. What is the point of a paper wallet if its sole purpose is to later on be swept clean of its coins? If security is an issue, wouldn't it make more sense to have a software bitcoin wallet that runs off an encrypted usb drive?

You've had some really great responses in this thread. In my view, paper wallets are inferior to the double-flashdrive approach.

Just keep your wallet.dat files on 2 drives stored in separate locations. Then, keep a bitcoin client "containing dust" fully synchronized on your machine on the ready.

Now, when you need to make a withdrawal, close the client, copy over your USB wallet.dat, reopen client and make withdrawal, then reverse the process to restore the dust wallet. Keep one flashdrive hidden and one within easy grasp.

it is exactly what i'0m doing, best way indeed, but you need to be sure that your pc is clean, i guess that dust is there for this purpose, still it is better to add a virtual enviroment, to strengthen your security

only be aware of usb randomly undetected by the OS that can occur, sometime they appear to be detected and then when you copy the wallet.dat, you will get a good corruption...this gave me nightmare more than thieves....
15015  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: June 19, 2015, 06:17:56 AM
the easy way

buy bitcoin now(you are still in time), hold until the next halving at least, or maybe 2020, the price will rise and you will get rich without doing nothing

the hard way

learn to trade, learn TA and advance TA so you can predict with a high % of success the price of the market, based on the past of that coin/assets, you will earn much mor, but there is more risk involved, especially at first, and for this reason it is better to start with a low amount
15016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Bitcoiner here. on: June 19, 2015, 06:15:12 AM
avoid altcoins for as long as you can. there is no going back

you can still mine those for cheap, no reason to ignore them altogether, they can still offer some profit, in mining(not trading or anything else)

you only need to play wisely, and search for the good ones that are launched every day/week

in the future other "dashcoin" may be launched, so always stay tuned for something that would give you plenty of money
15017  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faster BTC confirmation time on: June 19, 2015, 06:11:47 AM
There's no way to make BTC confirmation faster with 0.0001BTC or higher fees
Even you put very high fees, your confirmation won't be confirmed instantly, but that will guarantee you that your confirmation will be confirmed on next block

If you don't like current confirmation time, you better use altcoin

I mean the confirmation time is a little bit of a problem for in-person sales.

i believe that when bitcoin will be more accepted, no business will force you to wait there because of the confirmation, they will just accept zero confirmation

the probability that something bad can happen to that transaction, is very remote
15018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good ways to invest Bitcoins on: June 19, 2015, 06:08:10 AM
What is there to invest Bitcoins in without having to cash out to fiat first?

I was looking for ways to buy physical gold (held in bank), stocks/shares, stuff like that, but options seem very limited.

Any ideas?

Just get a super mining rig. Watch the money flow in. However if you do decide to mine, you should mine altcoins. Bitcoin mining has been taken over by the rich.

better to use GPU at this point, everyone has at least one, they can still mine any last released alt efficiently, and you can always resell it later

or buy a cheap 750ti, even more convenient for that matter

it is just a bit time consuming, because you can't just fire it up and watch your earning rising(it isn't that simply), you need to follow every thread and check the code yourself soem times, for malicious code
15019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Possible solution for paypal trading ? on: June 19, 2015, 06:06:23 AM
paypal is worthless, they freeze funds whenever they feel like it and you have no control. as a buyer they are fine but i stopped selling through them years ago

it is good for one thing though, when you want to purchase on soem shady/fishy site, that has something that you can't find elsewhere, if they accepte paypal your ass is fully covered, with debit and credit card i would not be very comfortable in using this kind of website
15020  Economy / Goods / Re: Anyone Interested In An Apple Ipad Mini 16GB In Silver In Exchange For 1.5 BTC? on: June 19, 2015, 06:02:55 AM
wrong section mate, move it to the marketplace under good
