15161  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: INNOSILICON T3-50T BTC Miner Fan Speed on: January 14, 2020, 06:21:40 PM
I was wondering if anyone knows how to cap the fan speed of the miner because once it gets above 70% it is very loud.

earplugs.

seriously  though the gear pulls a  lot of power and the fans are loud.

Capping the speed is very difficult and likely to damage the gear.

I only purchased 1 unit  and for the most part it runs the fans at high speeds with loud noise.
15162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: January 14, 2020, 02:05:27 PM
I wish that they would send my final unit the s17 pro  I would then be fully caught up and squared away with them.

I would consider buying a t17+ 58th due in feb if they would only square me up on the s17 pro.

Update s17 pro on its way from, malaysia due the 17 of jan.

this will have me fully settled with bitmain.

Coins are up over 8500

The diff will be under 8%  Some time this evening.

So things are looking better for mining.

I won't be posting today  as my wife had to go to the hospital  she had the  flu turn into pneumonia and is  quite ill.

15165  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T17e is not powering on: January 13, 2020, 02:23:10 PM
what country are you in?

are you usa and you have this plug?

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hubbell-White-20-Amp-Duplex-Residential-Commercial-10-Pack-Outlet/1000049917

this is a 20 amp plug

if you have a 15 amp plug

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Legrand-White-15-Amp-Duplex-Tamper-Resistant-Residential-10-Pack-Outlet/3236646

it may need an upgrade.

If you are in a different country.  plugs will be different.
15166  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M20S acting up - Error 2010 on: January 13, 2020, 04:07:35 AM
Yeah this was my pre-order that showed up in June I believe, I gave it a light cleaning just blew it through with air in August I think... maybe September. I think I still have a can or 2 kicking around and will remove fans tomorrow night when I'm home to give it a once over. It wasn't to bad the first time around, it's just such a weird error to see.
I was kind of thinking it could be a controller issue or something. Hopefully just a little TLC and it's good to go... not a time I want to be down any hashrate. Worst case I have to get parts ordered within a few days if I need something.

I can give you the guy in North Carolina  they may be faster then pangolin

15168  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M20S acting up - Error 2010 on: January 13, 2020, 02:22:06 AM
this was the one that came in may

I had a psu fail on one of them.

The replacement psu needed the newest firmware to recognize it.

the unit runs not but at reduced speeds  at least power and fans also dropped it now is a 42th 2100 watt miner

the other one just works.  this came in july

All I got is they do get dirty when was the last time you cleaned it?
15169  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T17e is not powering on: January 12, 2020, 07:11:32 PM
The avr can not handle  the draw the t17e does.   Don't use it for the t17e.

do you have a photo of the 220v   outlet ?  If you do I can figure out what cabling for you to try.
15170  Other / Meta / Re: Do you post more when you are wearing a signature or? on: January 12, 2020, 06:04:16 PM
I have said this time and time again.

Lets  go signature free  for a month  or for 3 weeks or for 2 weeks or for 1 week.

Lets look at the results and  plan off of it.

I go a thread  and 90% of the posts on the thread have  a signature  and the thread is

wait for it

Re: Please don't reply to topics that are made for advertising purposes.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215072.0

you can't get more ironic then this thread. Shocked

Yes 24 posts

   2 do not advertise
2 are for the posters own business
 20 are for paid signatures

15171  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T17e is not powering on: January 12, 2020, 05:42:26 PM
Ahh  I have an AVR 3000W  and it simply does not have the testicles to run a t17e

ie   that is an under powered unit.

the t17e  pulls juice hard real hard about   3300 watts. It is   over spec on both of my units.

the avr 3000w    can supply about 2400watts

you have this correct?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/323593437551

BTW  even if the t17e ran true to form  and pulled 2850-2950 watts  it is too much for your unit.

Stop trying to pull a trailer with a kia forte. Grin

Also what  is your wall outlet power ?

If you want to run a t17e

the wall outlet needs  to be 205-240 volts
it needs to be a 20amp breaker
it needs 12 gauge copper from the breaker to the outlet.

I will use this outlet

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hubbell-IG2320-Isolated-Ground-Twist-Lock-Locking-Receptacle-20A-250V-2P-L6-20R/183616298442?

this cable

https://www.ebay.com/itm/12FT-L6-20P-to-C19-15A-250V-14awg-Power-Cords-BLACK-World-Cord-Sets/113758401510?

to this cable

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Splitter-Power-Cord-2-Feet-Black-IEC-60320-C20-to-2x-IEC-60320-C13-14AWG/392232636993?

and plug the y-cable into your miner.
15172  Other / Meta / Re: Change account Username/Name on: January 12, 2020, 05:29:26 PM
I would not mind  changing my main account name if just to draw less attention to myself.
Many people have done this recently. You should send theymos a PM and explain your reasoning. I'm not sure if there is some sort of threshold for having this done but you would likely be able to adjust it. You would then likely want to go and change up your youtube/google name so that it doesn't tie in as much as I know you've got a bunch of videos in posts and reviews.

I sent a pm asking to change this account name. Basically  I am getting a lot of  external  grief started in 2019  and still going on.

Here is an email today

I have no idea whom the person is so I left out the sender email.
I get two or three emails a week.
I get pm's
I was doxxed on badbuyer . org
I am looking to reduced  the impact of this signature as I fear for my family's safety.

15173  Other / Meta / Re: Do you post more when you are wearing a signature or? on: January 12, 2020, 05:16:29 PM
I'm spending more time on the forum mostly because it is winter and cold AF..

I haven't worn a paid signature in so long that I wouldn't know..
Someone should rent my sig space so we can find out..

I agree with this post.

I will say years and years ago  I went from 350 posts monthly to 450 when I did sign up for a campaign.

But lets face it I post and have always posted and will always post.

I also feed the earnings back into my give away thread's that I ran back in 2014-2016 era.

He did try to do this in jan 2019  it did not get off the ground.

His post history does suggest he plays here.

Well  like I said before good luck guys.

I did point a miner here

15175  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Firmware for S17 - 85th/s and T17 - 65th/s T17 down to 45w • Asic.to The Moon on: January 11, 2020, 04:02:54 PM
If you leave it alone will it stay in that loop and do 20 30 40 resets?
15176  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T17e is not powering on: January 11, 2020, 03:05:38 PM
explain to us this statement

"after a lots of problem with the electricity"

did you have a blackout
did you have a brownout
did you have a power surge
did you have  rapid power on power off power on power off

that power supply needs around 205-240 volts for each plug
the  2 power cords need to be able to  give 10 amps of power to each plug

My thoughts are you are not feeding 2 cables with say 220 volts and say 9 amps to the unit.

if the power supply thinks 1 plug is dead  the miner does not turn on.

that is pretty easy to fix  simply make sure the 2 cables can feed the power in and they work.

3 bad case issues maybe be 1 of them 2 of them or all 3 of them

1) killed the psu with your electrical issues
2) killed the controller with your electrical issues
3) killed the hash boards with your electrical issues
15177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: T17e review. on: January 11, 2020, 01:36:33 PM
My t17e's do not do spec  they do 53th at 3200 watts  way over on power

My 1 t17+  does better then spec  it does  64-65th at 2990 watts  a little higher hash then spec  and at 46 or 47 watts more efficient then spec.

From Feb 2019 to Jan 2020  I ordered and my partners ordered lot of bitmain gear. 35 plus pieces

the 2 t17e's were the only gear under spec

the 1 t17+  did the best over spec.

They represent
the best (t17+) close to  a full 5% better then spec

the worst  (t17e) about 5% worse then spec

Does this mean  you should buy t17+ ?

I have 1 coupon left  I plan to buy this unit https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020200107140204896zxU627b8066E

a t17+  for 1011  due to ship feb 11.

I am waiting for my last unit on order a s17 pro to ship  due to ship jan 11-20.

Okay Degen mates), looks like were almost good to go, 1 left

So, in order not to waste time, I  will message all of you guys and ask for  0.01500xxx  the xxx will let me know it is you.
And don’t forget to send me the txid also.

I will be afk for about 10-12 hours.

What address will we be mining to? Same as previous with Philip acting as escrow?

I checked the phill address no hashrate on there but noticed the pool jump up in hash must be to another address.

{"hashrate1m": "4.66P",

okay so no one is mining at

http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1MVzxXXtYuvmzGBT2ZiyrxXiEpUJ6Ttr1u

that would be the one we used before.

but all funds seem to be here.

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/39JmKMaunRawTtVk2pixR5qQRK9VQJqqNS

i do not handle  those funds

i do not  handle the rental.

if you want to mine to the address we used last time it is still okay by me.

15180  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: T17e review. on: January 11, 2020, 12:05:26 AM
I can do the  2 t17e's

I have a teamviewer set to the 2 17e's

Room is in clifton  super good air fans cooling

we are feeding the room filtered outside air it is 50f air right now.

full size of both units.

https://i.imgur.com/woNzZ1K.png

https://imgur.com/Fa48cOo.png

both do well at 53th
but  that area has filtered air.
stable internet.
temps now stay under 80f with input air at 2 sources both filtered.
we fixed power drop to 185 volts so power is good.

It is not  true data center grade but it is decent setup for mining.

I can not show the t17+  it is at a spot that I can not do a safe teamviewer connection

the t17+ is doing   64-65 th at 2990 watts
the t17e is  doing   53-54th at 3200 watts

the t17+ is cooler  it is better gear.

of course it is all about feeding it 3000 watts of stable power.  you need to be able to do this.
