Maybe I'll take this fake free money and convert it into Dash, a project that has garnered my interest lately. Not sure though, shocked this is still at the level it's at.

We all know it's not gonna die but will settle on a level ground where both are of equal profitability.

It's gonna swing back and forth for a bit until the difficulty reaches equilibrium

No Bitcoin Cash wont die, but it will be just one of those thousands of altcoins. There is only on Bitcoin and BCash wont change it.
Anyway I am happy about the free money  Smiley

Same made more too due to the volitile price but think it will settle around 20/80 ratio (BCH/BTC)

Look at here : https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

Last blocks are really big one.

Yea the miner has a 1M cap on blocks  Huh
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 08, 2017, 03:52:05 PM
For now I think 10% of BTC is slightly high since we are only averaging a block per 40 min or so, but I  also believe that may correct.

I was thinking nearer 15% up until the big unknown miner went quiet blocks were averaging around 12 Mins
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 08, 2017, 03:33:36 PM
Should I invest here?
I am a new member

Is this really a serious question there have been a few new members asking the exact same thing near enough word for word

RIP, 5 hours of mining and the miner only mined a 1MB block Cheesy

Could be a BTC supporter keeping the difficulty at a normal rate but set low block so not to empty mempool

As I've mentioned earlier I suspect the big miner has gone quiet to allow a massive difficulty adjustment to make this profitable by exploiting the adjusted difficulty code

Why need it be a "BTC supporter" ? I really think that BTC is on a whole different level, unmatched and unparalleled, the best that BCH can be is a decent top 3 altcoin, alienating yourself from bitcoin and refusing to coexiste will not got you anywhere as an altcoin.

Just going with them having a 1MB cap that's all

I think Bitcoin cash is here to stay and i think it will overtake or at least get to BTC price.  Lips sealed

Agreed with you BCH will stay here for long time but it's possible to overtake Bitcoin. Both have no comparison I think you don't know what BTC is now and how big community behind this at the moment so that I would like to say that's just dreaming with open eyes.

I do not agree with you.
Mining bitcoin is much more profitable than mining bitcoin cash at the moment and I think that soon enough, the mining are going to be switching between the networks so they will be able to have more profit going.

I'm expecting BCH to be loads more profitable soon due to difficulty manipulation.

If you've not noticed hashing power has really dropped off fast and I'm thinking it's intentional if it remains really low difficulty can drop to just a few percent of bitcoin really fast then the miners will come back and mine blocks really fast at a huge profit until the next difficulty upward change that is much slower

Basically they have pre programmed a exploit that I am suspecting is about to be used
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 08, 2017, 12:11:17 PM
good call, 750-1000 usd target in the short term is not unrealistic. i also think we will hit this range again before crashing into oblivion....

people are so mindless that it's possible that if bitcoin continues on a tear, newcomers will think 'well there's another bitcoin and it's cheaper. gotta be better, right?'

for better or worse i don't think it's going anywhere in a hurry.

Block times have gone from around 12 Mins to 2-3 hours just by a single miner leaving

Is there a name for the sorts of coin that exist only for speculation?  They get mined, they get sold and they get brought, but no one actually does anything (legal) with them.  What can you do with Bitcoin Cash?  Their official website doesn't even pretend there is anywhere you can spend it.

jajaja
seems you want someone say "shitcoin"  Grin
but the coin is just created, I'm not surprized there are no merchants yet
we'll see what happens in a couple of months

Give it some time.
It's only a couple day's old

8 days old actually

Look at this :
There have been 233 blocks mined since the hard fork.

(836 blocks behind the original chain)

The Bitcoin Cash blockchain is currently operating at 17% of the original chain's difficulty.

The original chain has grown 850.28MB more than the Bitcoin Cash blockchain.

It is currently -100% more profitable to mine on the original chain.

Be prepare for big pump soon... More miners will jump into this...

Pretty sure thats a bug, the blocks have been coming in much slower recently which indicates miners leaving (probably to try and force a downward difficulty correction), before it was 100-150%ish more profitable to mine the main chain and slower blocks on the BCH chain shouldn't make it less profitable to mine than the main chain Wink

The original chain is currently twice as profitable now

The BCH chain is so slow now because just 1 miner has left and will probably return once difficulty drops to under 10% making this just as profitable until the next difficulty adjust providing price ratio remains around 1:10

If I read this right the line at the top is the line BCH needs to pass to be profitable

Profitability is going down so why would miners jump onto this

Amazing support @0.09s , with btc at an ath, i was expecting a dump on bcc.

IMO the reason its not dropping, its 50% under priced vs mining costs...this wont last long, as people will quickly buy up the cheap coin.
If this is near bottom...what will near top look like  Shocked  (short term)

Once difficulty goes down and the mining profitability goes high there would be some major dumps!
Why would the difficulty goes down? I thought it always goes up even though minor corrections might occur if the block times are getting high.

The difficulty can go up or down whatever it takes to keep block times averaging 10 mins

BCH have changed the code so it can drop fast and raise slowly

Right now the big unknown miner has gone if this remains so the difficulty will drop to almost nothing and then they are free to come back and mine blocks every few mins until the next difficulty change basically manipulating it

This code is just to benefit the miners and is being exploited

Your shills like to point out , different people from different countries make up a pool,
funny you want to ignore that fact when it comes to Bitcoin Cash.

And for the record any # over 51% can dominate a network, so why are you not selling your bitcoin 1MB and your Litcoin & your Doge.
Because the Chinese Pools also dominate over 51% in all of those coins.

Try again, no one cares about your faked hatred of the Chinese.  And since you don't sell off your BitShit 1MB apparently neither do you.

╥Aztek

The highest pool ratio for today is just 14% the rest have a smaller ratio so care to explain which pool has over 51% I have nothing against the chinese and nothing against most mining being in china the only problem I have is it all being in control of a single pool it does not matter what country it is in

Add up the Chinese controlled pools , and it is ~80% for your Bitshit 1mb coin.

So Chinese technically control all PoW coins by having more than 51% ,
don't like it , well tough , that is just how it is with any PoW based coin.

You can't complain about Chinese controlling one PoW based coin ,
when the facts is, if there is an ASIC involved China Dominates all PoW coins.

╥Aztek

And I SAID I DO NOT CARE WHAT COUNTRY MOST HASHING POWER is in I just said it shouldn't be in the same mining pool

Again trying to twist whats been said

Im starting to get the feeling your either a bit retarded or you don't understand English very well or you just plain do not want to listen to the truth or maybe its all 3

Seems like the Bitcoin Cash is pump it up. Why is that suddenly. Maybe any news regarding this Bitcoin Cash or just people just start buying it

Don't know but its on its way down now
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 07, 2017, 11:09:15 PM
Lets hope that the rest of the miners haven't gone by then so far 1 has quit loosing too much money, ViaBTC hash rate is down 80% and over 90% is a unknown identity (presumed to me bitmain)

Do you really trust 1 pool that has over 90% to secure the network the supporters keep going on about satoshi's dream but this was to never have a single entity run the network

Do you trust bitcoin 1mb since the Chinese have had over 80% control of it for almost 2 years.

You can't complain about the Chinese on one coin and then ignore they have controlled the other one for years.

╥Aztek

Not all the same pool though so big difference plus 80% in china is still much better than 99% in china like BCH
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 07, 2017, 10:21:34 PM
And now the rollercoaster starts over again. Curious how far the whales will take it this time. It is still difficult to day trade that coin. Would most of you here consider BCH a promising long-term hold or what's your opinion?

Don't expect an accurate valuation of Bitcoin Cash at the markets , until it has been on Coinbase's direct Fiat trading for an least a month.

╥Aztek

Weren't they waiting until January 1st 2018 to add BCH, or did I misunderstand something? Gonna take a long time for an accurate value if that is the case, then.

Yes, so the largest price spike will be around Feb or March 2018.

...is this really what you are willing to put millions of dollars into

I don`t have such an amount of money; but I still got dead wallets with millions of BitcoinDark and BitcoinScrypt. Good old times when I was happy with some Bitmain Antminer U2 USB-Sticks.

I was referring to the community not just one user
