1521  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for $1000 loan 10x+ paid back! on: June 20, 2013, 12:54:13 AM
Is this a loan offer, or an investment offer?
1522  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 18, 2013, 01:45:38 AM
If this was BFL you people would be all torches and pitchforks in this thread, but everyone is making excuses.

1524  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ButterflyLabs BitForce 50 / 60 GH/s BitCoin Miner Single SC pre-order on: June 07, 2013, 10:20:50 PM
Would someone really buy a pre-order from you that you only made less than 2 months ago from BFL? In cash up front, no less.

You are modeling the current profit if you had your units in hand now, but what will they be worth in the next century, when BFL actually ships March 2013 orders?
1525  Economy / Digital goods / Re: **FREE** Microsoft Office 2007 Retail Licenses **FREE** UPDATED!! on: June 06, 2013, 07:57:59 PM
Can I have one please? (>^.^)> <(^.^<)
1526  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitmit promotion: FREE potato on: June 06, 2013, 03:40:48 AM
Is the potato included, or do I have to provide my own potato?

If so, will any potato work?
1527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 02, 2013, 02:44:11 PM
^ LOL

So, what now? Another consolidation period with no volume? How long this time? A fortnight? 6 weeks? followed by a final rally just to have it spoilt by a dumper on a whim? I think that scenario would be too sickeningly boring to be likely.

"Wait and see" is over -- consolidation is pointless. Screw stability. Buy and laugh in the dumpers' faces.

That's the problem with a currency based 95% on speculation. Nobody wants to buy any if there isn't money to be made.
1528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 01, 2013, 09:23:48 PM
I don't know, but this is bitcoin. If it looks bullish, watch for your back.

Bulls having sex, there might be a metaphor for this thread hidden in there.

Holy selloff batman!

Or, holy shakedown

Still it amazes me how little it goes down.
A sell like this was enough for a drop to 110 dollars a while back...now it drops a few dollars. People don't panic anymore like they used to do.
Instead it seems people consider it a great opportunity to buy "cheap coins".
I could be wrong but that's the feeling i have.
I would have thought the price would go up, considering that now it is impossible to withdraw fiat from MtGox.

Huh? Explain?
Sorry. Without verification I should have said.

5.8k to get there.

I know it's a noobish question, but ... how do you guys calculate how much btc is needed for it to go to "X" price?
I am ashamed, because I traded btc for months now, but didn't know about this.
On bitcoinity, there are two graphs. The first displays the price history, and the second bottom graph shows the order book. Any point on the order book graph shows how many bitcoins would need to be sold at each price.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if some1 rich buys it all? on: May 23, 2013, 03:25:35 AM
Well, I'm pretty curious myself..

What if Bill decides to buy all 'reasonable' sell offers on the large exchanges, continuously, until all his money is spent?

What would this do to the BTC price? How much would it end up at when bill has spent all of his ~60 billion usd? How much bitcoins would Bill then have?

It's impossible, obviously, to exactly predict these numbers... but can someone smart make some educated guesses? I'm very curious Smiley
If he bought most of the coins in existence, the remaining ones would be priced extraordinarily high just because those people know he is willing to pay top dollar for them.
1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp arbitrage to depress MtGox price this week? on: May 23, 2013, 03:24:04 AM
I'm been doing arbitrage and making about $200-$250 a day after all fees when there is a 5% difference between exchanges (which is common these days).

I won't give away my secrets though. See if you can figure out how.
OKpay?
1534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Campbx price very different from MtGoX on: May 16, 2013, 03:38:23 AM
Does anyone know why CampBX market is at 106 right now while MtGox has a 116 market? This doesn't really make sense to me why someone hasn't bought up the coins at $106 (about 16 right now), and sold them at MtGox. Do I not understand how exchanges usually work?

shit I came too late,
what happened to nice stability, I don't want to search through last ten pages?
We had some bad news or just pumpndump?
could somebody give short feedback?
just read some dwollathingyproblem...

 Dwolla sucks
Implying Dwolla froze MTGoX's account just for shits and giggles, as apposed to a Department of Homeland Security mandate.
1539  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 15, 2013, 01:03:23 AM
NOOOOO, I missed pg 420 xD

Also this crash is due to the dwolla thing, if you think otherwise then that's cool too I guess, I for sure can't change your mindset.

But it's due to dwolla seizure.

That is all.
Hey, I just heard Dwolla was freezing incoming transactions of FIAT currency, so I decided I should quick sell the currency that I own that can't be frozen in exchange for some currency that has a good chance of being locked down!
1540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 15, 2013, 12:33:52 AM
Man, talk about a nose-dive. Glad I had my buy orders in place!

Speaking of that... CampBX is down. LOL.
Is it DDos time already?
