1521  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach its all-time high? on: April 04, 2022, 03:28:41 PM
I guess the OP needs to understand that bitcoin price is not going to go on a parabolic rise. Sooner or later we will see a decline and that's what we are seeing right now.

And for reference, bitcoin have shown a 4 year cycle, so I guess we should wait for the next halving (catalyst for the next bull run). So sorry to burst the bubble to the OP, but you have to wait, and the best thing to do right now is to continue to accumulate so that you will get a good profit in the next bull run.
Wow, you sound really confident in your claims. How come you are so certain that it won't reach new ATH this year or the next? I personally think that it will bounce once more, reach new ATH and then the bear market will start and it will correct until the halvening in 2024. However, I have nothing to base my claims besides my own hunch Smiley
He is confident because he have his own reference but of course that is not guaranteed. Many factors can still affect the movements of btc. There might be a really good news and that would lift the price skipping that 4 year cycle he was saying. As of now there is no major good news but we can see that btc is still on its way breaking that 50k barrier and once it breaks we know what is next. Price can jump faster hitting that all time high's.

The next thing that can happen after this is already described above by you. A couple of months to enjoy the bull isn't bad at all so it's fine if we can also wait for at least a year before the new bulls happen again.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: April 03, 2022, 09:52:50 PM
This news is currently being discussed, especially on twitter. I'm sure they will be very serious about continuing to buy Bitcoin until their target is achieved. all of our hopes for bitcoin to break through the $50k price will surely come true soon.
We don't know maybe they only say this to create a hype to pump bitcoin and their own projects. For now, there is no date if when will they start their plan but we can see that btc price is ready to break 50k. It's not them that pumps btc but there are other factors on why btc is showing a performance like this.

It appears the cryptospace has found a bigger celebrity investor than Michael Saylor or Elon hehehe. His name is Do Kwon, the cofounder of Terra, who was also the cofounder of blockchain project Cosmos. According to other news articles, $3 billion is only the beginning. Terra will invest $10 billion in total in bitcoin to use as a reserve asset for Terra UST stablecoin.
They can invest bigger than Michael and Elon? I don't know if how much Elon Musk invested in btc before but musk is the second richest man in the world right? he has a lot of money to invest in btc. While Michael Saylor on the other hand was a long time investor in btc, I don't know if how much is the exact amount he have now but I think that is also huge. The most important thing is the two already proved it but the terra cofounders haven't yet.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where will ZIL coin go? on: April 03, 2022, 09:24:27 PM
Almost one years I am stuck holding on Zilliqia coin after buying on higher price and yesterday I reach my profit and keep sell it never hold again afraid could back to lower price, slowly but sure Zilliqia coin back to the top price after last several days drastically up almost 200% more, from $0.07 and now success reach almost $0,23 and keep going up, but I was quick and better waiting when Zilliqia back to lower price again for buying back and hope could reach much profit without holding almost one year, good decision keep holding my Zil coin because can back to higher price and my fund return with little profit.
Good for you that you don't sell at loss due to boredom and disappointment because 1 year is a bit long and you didn't expect that this coin will go down after you bought it because the reason why you bought it is because you think it will continue to rise.

You deserve whatever you got yesterday for selling the coin but you said you keep on selling it? Will that means you didn't sold all yesterday? Why? Are you waiting for more price increase? It looks like you didn't learn your lesson yet but don't worry because this coin looks like it has a potential. This coin was in the level of other top coins if I am not wrong. That is the reason why it recovers.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 03, 2022, 08:28:24 PM
Exactly these things happened today. Marseille were successful about destroying their opponent, St Etienne by 4-2 in an away game. And they are three points away from Rennes in the standings at the moment. And Strasbourg made use of this huge opportunity very well too. They were able to defeat Lens in a tough game by 1-0 and they now have the fourth position officially. Maybe they have equal points with Nice still but they are better than Nice when it comes to the goal average. I will be wondering how long they will keep it that way as of today.
With today win now most chances Marseille is going to stay at second spot behind PSG and no team can give them tough challenge for this spot but for remaining spots we will have some very exciting matches because now Rennes is going to face Reims which is not good side with this most chances they will also keep this place but Strasbourg and Nice are going to face some tough teams which can bring some changes in league table in next few weeks because now all teams are looking for better ranks even they have unpredictable results.

Strasbourg vs Lyon and Lens vs Nice are the most exciting matches in next week for big changes as Monaco and Lille both trying their best for higher ranks at the end of season.
1525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When and how did you discover Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2022, 07:44:53 PM
I've known Bitcoin through a work mate last 2017. I was actually hesitant at first and even thought of it as a scam despite all the good things that I've been hearing about it. I'm lucky because my friend didn't stop convincing me to invest in it. I invested a small portion of my salary on it and when I realized that it's really legit, I've added more funds to it. I was able to gain a good profit during 2017's bull run. I'm just grateful that my friend didn't give up on teaching me about basic trading and investing. Now, most of our family members are already into cryptocurrency.
We have this saying " too good be true" maybe your just a believer of that saying, that is why you doubt btc at first. You are literally lucky that your friend didn't introduce you to the wrong investment. You know the pyramid types of investments, where the only way that early investors can earn is by recruiting someone else. You are safe as long as you invest on your own, you control your account and you control all of your assets but if will be more safer if you chose a wallet that lets you hold your private keys and phrases with you.

I notice that many people still didn't care about that but they are already contented as long as they can login and see that their coins are still there.
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is one of the saviors on: April 03, 2022, 07:19:10 PM
Bitcoin now is very helpful to us so we can able to use this to buy our wants and especially our needs in everyday running. Their is a benefits in bitcoin we can trade or we can invest, many more opportunities we can get in Bitcoin.
Not only now but its helpful since it started because btc has its own unique properties, this what makes people chose btc and not the leading competitors. We can use btc mostly for sending money or btc to another btc users but for buying items? That can be done online for now since there is no country other than El Salvador that makes bitcoin a legal tender but if your lucky and you live on that country well congrats to you because you can spend your btc in real life.

When you said opportunities, that can also mean careers or jobs. Indeed there are lots of them online which pay you btc's. This is another way of acquiring btc's that we can use to spend later on.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: April 03, 2022, 06:14:22 PM
Crypto.com is moving forward to become the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the world's most prestigious soccer sport, Crypto.com has previously campaigned heavily for cryptocurrency in many other major sporting events and lastly we saw it in sponsorship from the UFC. The impact of Crypto.com as the official sponsor of FIFA 2022 will have the opportunity to add new community interest to get involved in cryptocurrency in the future.
Exactly, the exchange is growing pretty fast and I have seen them sponsor the UFC kits and there is a logo on the cage side as well.

Suddenly everyone is finding more and more partners in the crypto world. We have seen stake and sportsbet already partnering with soccer clubs and stake's owner Eddie on stream said they will sponsor another team next year so it's growing quickly. I love watching crypto platforms sponsoring these events and leagues.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: April 02, 2022, 09:33:14 PM
If that goes through and gets implemented, it's pretty much the end of crypto and many fundamentals it's based on such as 'not-my-keys-not-my-coins'
No, it's not.

The foundations of cryptocurrency, as an idea, are very strong. It is well known that peer-to-peer, decentralized networks are unstoppable. Of course and they can be regulated, but there's a limit. If you deposit your coins to big, centralized exchanges you fall back on the central point of failure. Don't. Use a DEX. You'll always be able to move them across pockets without anyone's permission.

I know no fundamentals that include the transition from crypto to fiat currency. This is what's going to get harder to do.
This is true, plus that's just Europe and not the whole world. As someone who doesn't live in Europe, I do not care about what their laws about crypto is at all. To say that "crypto as we know it would be gone" requires the whole world to jump in on this, not just Europe. There are like 5 billion people give or take that doesn't really get impacted about this at all, nobody cares about this in that part of the world.

Only the European continent and the places that gets impacted by this would care about it. Which means that at the very very worst case (and not even that) it would only cause a "crypto as we know it would be gone in EUROPE" and that's it, nothing more than that.
1529  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom Crypto Casino breaking the law? on: April 02, 2022, 07:09:56 PM
What was the main reason? you lose money and now a little bug and you are losing your mind and now you are thinking about them breaking a law? and just like what the user said above me, I think you are the one who is breaking the law or terms of the Gamdom for having multiple accou
This is a casino and it is usual that a casino can win most of the time but there's always people that don't understand it and the moment they lose they will cry like a kid, calling the casino a scam. Yes there are casinos that are truly a scam like 1xbit for example but not with gamdom.

I don't seen that this casino receive lots of negative feedbacks. I don't think using the term breaking the law is appropriate for this matter but to me breaking the law means if the gambling company is illegal or without a license but I think gamdom is a fully licensed casino because they have been advertised in this forum regularly. They have the funds to process those.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 02, 2022, 06:33:07 PM
have you considered that attention span is smaller and smaller each year
with social media websites like tik tok getting big being able to focus and having an attention span longer than 10 minutes it's already a superpower nowadays
tik tok is reducing it to 15 seconds

do you think this may end up making people more prone to gambling and addicting activities or shouldn't be a correlation here?
The decrease didn't happen each year but it all started after tiktok became a trend, other platforms are then following. Have you noticed that youtube are slowly turning into tiktok? because on youtube they also introduced a new feature called youtube shorts, where you can create a small clip just like what is seen on tiktok.

The idea is nice because some people are busy and can't finish a long video but they can be able to finish a clip under 1 minute. Having that no skip button is helpful to see the whole video but it does make sense since adding a skip button will instantly end a video xd. Tiktok is indeed addicting but I don't think it can lead to gambling. Both things are different.
1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Smith inu got me good on: April 01, 2022, 09:48:03 PM
It depends though, if this project is going to scam with Will Smith's image, then maybe he can sue the creator of the project.
How many times you have seen that crypto scammers got punished? How many time have you seen they even got caught? We have only seen several cases, where exchange owners that ran away with user funds or hackers that hacked exchanges for huge amounts were caught. Cryptocurrency universe is so huge, that no one notice a scammer that steal $1-20k by issuing meme tokens and selling all tokens immediately after price pumped.
Unfortunately not that frequently. These days we are seeing a bit more centralization getting in play. So, if you do a rugpull on projects like these and there are enough attentions to it, then binance or coinbase or whatever place could maybe lock your coins down if they think it was basically stolen.

However this isn't really that big and 90% of the time we still have hackers and scammers end up with money that they could withdraw. This is why I do not think that anything will happen to will smith inu guys neither, they did a memecoin basically, and everyone jumped into it like crazy for some reason, they made some money and that was it.
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoins with a good potential. on: April 01, 2022, 09:13:50 PM
The price of altcoins depends too much from the conditions of cryptocurrency market.
When market rise the price of many altcoins rise. But altcoins must be useful for people to be in demand.
This is true. An altcoin can have a good use case so it is in demand but when the market falls, they are still going to be affected. There are alts too that are in demand not because they are useful, for example meme coins.

The reason why is because they are hyped too much. A coin with no use case can die even if the market is still in a bullish mode. If some of them got lucky to survive, they will still be wiped out by the time the market goes into bearish mode. A lot of people complain when the bear comes but they shouldn't because bears have their own purpose. Not only that the market will be cleaner but they can also use the opportunity to buy more coins.
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 01, 2022, 08:25:07 PM
In my opinion it's fine to teach bitcoin to kids as early as they can understand and adopt it, because bitcoin is constantly getting more and more valuable as the time goes by, while also increasing its support worldwide.

Just imagine if kids adopted bitcoin years ago and played online games which rewarded free satoshis as prizes. That would have been great and also a big boost for executing plans which demand financial resources they want to achieve when growing older.

I believe we could say bitcoin is an upgrade of the old good piggy bank, where kids were used to deposit every cents, saving for their future.

Bitcoin may be popular among the crypto community but its not a fundamental technology which every kid must be aware of in its early days. Kids these days are so much obsessed with electronic gadgets that they are paying less attention to outdoor activities and playing real world games. They will come to know about bitcoin as they grow up, let them focus on there childhood activities.
Like what he said above, bitcoin can act as a virtual piggy bank. It's okay if we won't teach our kids for the other use of bitcoin like gaming if we want them to enjoy the outdoor world but teaching them to save in their bitcoin wallet doesn't involve too much monitoring and they can still go outside and hang out there at all times. It is not bad to spend time on your screens but as long as you are earning an income with it.

You don't waste any time compared to when you only watch youtube and play video games because there are no real benefits that you can get with them. Pandemic are still there so going outside is still restricted anyway.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: April 01, 2022, 10:04:51 AM
If it's a fake simulation game, how about that game that is available on some sports betting sites because I think some gamblers have placed on that game. Or are they just trying to place a bet without thinking if it's fake or real? But indeed, placing bets in real games will be more sensational because we can see how big the chances of each team are so we can choose them as our bets. But whether we're going to play a simulation game or choose a real game, of course, we're going to place a bet on something we know well. If we're trying to install on something we don't know then it's probably just a trial and error to see how the game works.
If you make bets on those events in which you do not understand, that is, make bets at random, then the probability of losing will increase by many times. You don't have to try to be a good player in all directions, be smart enough in several championships and follow the news in the teams to make bets with understanding. Of course, this will not guarantee you that all your bets will be winning, but the probability of this will be higher.
They are literally gambling there if they are betting on the game that they don't know but this is where they get fun and excitement, not on the game that they knew already. It can be clear that profit is not their first priority there. In sports betting, you don't have to be a player to be able to place a bet but knowledge in the game can be enough to have a chance to win if your goal is to make money.

Betting in championship match and other special match could be better than betting on a regular game because there can be special offers provided by the betting site but they are still fun to bet even if making a profit is not your priority.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am big fan of SHIBA on: April 01, 2022, 08:26:38 AM
To hold it long term I think it's too risky although for the Shiba meme coin level it's one of the best,
need to see how far the Shiba inu will develop in the future,
the most important thing is to just keep up with the latest developments and news
That's the thing actually. SHIBAINU was created as a memecoin but eventually some people thought of making it a utility.
They are trying to bring in more developments to it seeing it's fame and success.
As far as it is being actively developed, it will keep attracting people and keep increasing in price.
But if there are no developments then I don't think it has a bright future.
That "eventually" part is the part that is risky. I am not saying that it is a bad coin, it is of course a decent token when you take it at the face value. However it is 15th ranked right now. Do you really believe that without the hype it would have been 15th ranked? Obviously it wouldn't be and that is a proof that we should not be focusing on anything there at all.

Just focus on how the hype is the main reason why its 15th ranked and it shouldn't have been. Development is great, and I hope they develop even more and become something awesome but that doesn't change the fact that the development they have is not really worthy of being that highly ranked token.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a start of bull rally in ALTCOIN? on: March 31, 2022, 09:06:35 PM
I think you are too optimistic about your prediction that the rally will last till the end of 2022, for me that's a very long time to make an accurate prediction because so many things can happen that may stop the rally within that time frame.

And yes, we're in a bull rally at the moment but for how long I can really say but I'll hope it last the whole of April.
It is understandable to make predictions on signals for future trend assessments, but it is also necessary to be prepared for different possible scenarios.

We have had a recovery in recent days, along with the emergence of many new projects that are creating fever in space.
What do you mean by fever? Does it means it makes the price red? Or decreasing? Or you mean it makes the crypto market hot and more exciting? Maybe this is it because I saw a green market ever since last time. Metaverse and nft's are still popular.

The ability to play games and earning a crypto at the same time makes many people get interested to hop in this space. They can contribute in the upcoming rally of altcoins but for now, we are still in the accumulation phase. We have already accumulated some funds but it seems it isn't enough to trigger a massive bull run. This can take a while, I hope you keep your patience with you.
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: One Alternative To High Gas Prices, The Electric Scooter on: March 31, 2022, 09:18:28 AM
Walking is not a good form of exercise, in my opinion. To get good exercise a person's heart rate needs to be elevated, which casual walking isn't known for producing.
Maybe that's your conclusion based on a long walk of 8 miles a day for a long time - but so far I haven't learned that moderate walking (30 minutes a day) is bad for your health, quite the opposite. What can be bad is walking in a polluted environment (traffic, industry) or using very uncomfortable footwear which can be very uncomfortable for the feet.
As a person who is fat (unfortunately) I have been to doctors all my life and they have constantly did tests on my body and always gave me the same advice, to walk. However, one thing that I did not know, and learned from my doctor visits and multiple doctors saying the same thing came to the same result; treadmills are not the way to do it.

I mean if you could walk on the road, or on some walking path, or basically just regular street, you could have a better result, when you are walking on a machine, that is bad for your knee joints. I have zero clue why that is, that is just what the doctors told me, but that is my only contribution to it. 30 minute walks every single day on a good path would improve a fat person's life very easily.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 30, 2022, 04:16:22 PM
So it was like a bidding and crypto.com bid for that sponsorship but they weren't the ones that has been chosen by FIFA? That's sad. I thought that this was all positive news and they've taken a big share for that sporting event.
Still, that's a nice try for crypto.com and I think that they'll keep on attempting to bid for major sponsorship to great events that has millions of fans all over the world.
It's a bidding and the highest bid is always going to get picked no matter who they are. Crypto.com's bid is lower than what that Indian company bid, that is why they lose the game but I got the same question as @Rabi3, other big crypto exchanges such as binance could have easily won the bidding because I believe they are more richer than crypto.com and can be richer than the winner of this bid but yeah we are still proud of crypto.com despite what happened because at least they are trying their best to lift the crypto industry to the next level. They should get some financial support next time, it could come from other exchanges or from us.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site on: March 29, 2022, 06:39:23 PM
some of the gambling sites accept only crypto Currencies while some gambling sites accept both the fiat currencies and crypto currencies.

So with this which of the gambling sites and sites which I have mentioned before is the best? Is it sports or casinos?
You just said that each of us has their own favorite, which is true anyway but why your asking if which is the best type of gambling? Are you judging this based on the number of replies? You could have added a poll too on your thread to make the counting more easier.

My favorite game by the way is dice and there are other casino games that you haven't mentioned. analog way to play or physical casinos are still there. They didn't fade away but it's only not advised to play on them because the covid pandemic hit us. This is why most people and casinos are now turning online for a while. Gambling sites that accept both fiat and crypto are I think the best for me because sometimes I don't have a crypto.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 29, 2022, 01:23:01 PM
I don't understand why you can consider staking stablecoin is better than invest in Bitcoin. Those centralized platform only offer you 8% APY and you're risking your 1 million dollars to them! Don't cry if they turn as scam project. Bitcoin could offer you better than 8% APY and your coins are fully 100% safe if you hold on hardware wallet. Choosing stablecoin is like choosing bad investment and riskier than Bitcoin.

Regarding to your questions, why should I cash out my Bitcoin if I'm not needed yet?
He didn't say free but he said after taxes. Most stablecoins have a connection with fiats and banks therefore it's normal that they can be taxed but there are decentralized stable coins like DAI and they can be exempted from taxes. Stable coins' main use are only to prevent the unstable crypto from fluctuating but investing on them alone without investing first on volatile crypto can be useless.

Do not know if you can stake a stablecoin but if it's possible, the rewards that you will be getting are fixed but if you invest on bitcoin, you can earn unlimited rewards although the disadvantage is you can also lose huge once bitcoin price dumps.
