Got busy planning a new bathroom remodel. Going for 2 racks of lamb ribs. One for the wife one for me. Dessert will be Mt Rainier cherries and Hammonton New Jersey blueberries piled on top of greek yogurt which will have a sprinkling of sliced almonds. May skip drinking of alcohol and simply go with black coffee. Of course I can pour a few shots of homemade vanilla vodka in it. This is beautiful. Would love to add a s9i but they auto-tune from what I've read, little user control My V9 is most likely a rebranded S7 and more expensive to run However, I've under clocked it down to 300mhz and it runs 8 ~ 10 C cooler in the garage (2T/hs) Crazy but I'm going with a second one to add to the cKpool Prefer to be in control even with the higher operating cost I'm pretty sure you can downclock the s9i, haven't had a need other than putting the fan on a static speed for the one units that whine/sing to really. I'll have to read through some of the posts. Maybe it will be as easy as inspecting the UI page and displaying the frequency like the fan speed.

... what would be the bonus for him?
I've wondered about that for a while too! -ck, any easy way to estimate? It's always been a small reward for small miners. It's approximately equal to the minimum payout threshold for the pool so if you were always below threshold, it would start putting you into the next payouts list. I've been tempted to increase it but if I increase it too much that would start biasing towards the biggest miner, taking away from everyone else and we only really have one very big miner. And just for the record, here is the equation: herp = sqrt(MIN(sdiff, network_diff) / diff) * diff / 2; Current network diff is 5.3 trillion, and being an S9 his mining diff would have been about 10k. So the block solving share would have counted for about 115 million HERP when a normal share at 10k diff averages 10k. And here I was about to post some random beer pic. Seems like a large increase from 1 hash = 1 hash. 11.5k% up, lotteries are fun. Thinking I'll drink the winderlea. Cause fuck, it was a nice run that's now making four days seem long. I blame philipma's lack of menu. just sayin'.

Looking at wattage though, the gable is likely better for removal and dump. Cheaper even to build those out than the other unit I linked before last. The swamp cooler might be an nice touch on days like this week. Let's hope for a block though.

I suppose I'm over thinking now. Should really just box out some gable fans in the ceiling and let my wife pick the covers.

I guess we have at least three in Portland area, should we have a -ckpool carnivore dinner someday?

...By the way, what nut case ever thought it was a good idea to design a bitcoin miner with one fan?
One that expected it to be run in a proper environment and not in your oversized oven? That fresh out the sun feeling? Not desired in this scenario.

It may be a little cooler tonight but overall going to be warm through next weekend! Keep your miners cool, should be easier to cool the air at night, just have to worry from about 11am to 7pm.
Yea, I'll be home to monitor temps the next couple days. 90F doesn't worry me but Sunday is supposed to be hot! Got to keep hashing. I think I powered down about 9am back up at 11pm but then I worked really late. Got me pushing some easy orders through lately, even though I work best in the evening with a beer though. Business seems good, we might bonus and then I'll update exhaust for sure.

Welp, I'm screwed then. No worries, mate... there's a big difference between `noise' and things that are `sound'... so, you'll be alright... I try to walk the line of annoyingly enjoyable. I'm just now ramping up again. It was over 95F in Portland today and not working from home means garage closed, so I powered down till now. Looks like we're still hunting for a block though. I can't remember if you said before, but are you in a neighborhood or more out by yourself? I had one going at home for awhile and I could hear it across the street (but it just sounded like someone was vacuuming or using a hair dryer 24/7) I live off a busy road in the city. Can't hear anything with the garage closed up. I have sound dampening panels reducing noise fairly well, 40 ft and it's barely noticeable if the garage is open. Just hot this weekend and my exhaust removal is weaker now since the addition of the s9i a little bit ago. I'll have to see about an upgrade for the unit I have in the ceiling, add, or replace for more CFM removal then I wont have worry on days this warm or warmer. LOL I'm in PDX too. The heat in the garage has been high, but my new S9is have been running at 80c tops during the day. I have 2 exhaust fans in the wall behind the miners. Hopefully, today it will be cooler for my sake, the miners don't mind the heat apparently. Nice, yes I can run these pretty hot to but if I'm in office I can't power down or leave to easily. I'll have to look at getting a switch PDU but would rather just get the exhaust setup for a few more additions anyway.

Still waiting for CG's scotch recommend, we may all need be connoisseurs of his, blend? I'm actually intrigued.
Lagavulin 16yr is my regular go-to. Nikka Coffey Malt is for special occasions. Interesting choice with the Nikka. Single malt 10yr Tyrconn here.

I'm getting block withdrawals .. .. still on about 2.5 day schedule? Less?
8 blocks/12 days has been amazing. Everyone on board to drive this some more?
Think we need a dinner menu, philipma at your convenience please.

I have another bottle of winderlea and about to round off a long successful work week. Cause thank you anyone clicking my dumb twitter links btw, boss is happy.
Anything I'm missing?
Edit: Drinking Goodlife "Decender" IPA atm

My math is always a little sketchy, but if I got this right, we have mined a total of 394.53550970000003 coins. At this moment those coins are worth about $2,487,151.85. Payouts have been sent out to 1141 miners. Pretty damn impressive. Now we know why Inno was desperate to sell its A9 by Monday at $9999 with one free.
If this over-clocks like mini then Inno will be selling A9 for $2400 soon.
We'll the opposite is true if Bitmain raises the price like they did the e3.

yeah . i guess i have to build a farm with space reserved to these things to mine with. in my home there is no space for noise
These won't be as loud as s9's but yes much louder than gpu rigs.
