Very strange, anonymousads.com website is down but banners work fine. Do you have 2 servers?

Unique daily views statistics now available for the banner ads and slots!

I'm talking about unique impressions in the last 24 hours. (Unique visitors) Instead of 1 hour precision it would be 24 hours.
I have just started collecting data you are asking. After 24 hours will make these stats available!

Can you add an option to show unique visitors in ad slots?
Am I correctly understand, you are asking about unique impressions? If true, we collect only aggregate data about impressions for banner ads and slots with precision of one hour. Only banner clicks and interstitial ad impressions are tracked individually. BTW, now we are receiving about 500-600k impressions per day and this number grow every day. If I would start inserting info about each impression into database (which require at least 4 fields to be uniquely tracked: ad_id, slot_id, client_ip and timestamp), it would produce many gigabytes of data every day. In the future, if our profits will be enough to build own data center ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) , this feature of course will be available!

There is no reason not to charge advertisers. So lets move to more professional platform by taking a share as commission from each click. I'm sure that we publishers want stable platform and are able to share our revenue with middleman/you which maintains the ad feed (adsense charges at least 40%)...
I decided to try donation funding model at first. But if it won't work, I will have no other choice than introducing a commission fee. BTW, charging fees while CoinURL is not so big is very undesirable move. Our average CPC now is low comparing to the Google AdSense and other big networks, therefore reducing it by 30-40% can drive away publishers. Also, since you offer affiliate program I'd like to see "coinurl.com" link in the corner of each ad to bear affiliate link of each publisher.
Just click "Request verification" in the ad slot's context menu and your referral link will appear on the "Ads by CoinURL" place.

We have decided to try out model of the donation-funded ad network on the CoinURL!
Now you can select percent from the amount you are withdrawing to donate. We believe this funding model will be enough to cover expenditures and may be CoinURL become the first commission-free ad network in the world!

UPD1: I have called my hosting company and they agreed to increase max connections to the database 5 fold right now, so you must not see annoying MySQL error anymore.
UPD1: We have updated stats for the advertisers. Now you can see number of both counted (for which you pay) and raw (including rejected) clicks and impressions.

If you want to fill these slots directly without Operation Fabulous, just send PM to me.

You should try for a limited time, example: - coinurl won't get any fee during the next x weeks ( this is a test ) then you will see if the business work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) CoinURL doesn't charges any commissions so far, but as service grows and cheap virtual hosting no more suitable I need start receiving some income. Ads without fees is very attractive to the publishers, therefore I want to save this advantage as long as I can. I will try voluntary donation model for some time and see how it will work.

As you probably know, advertising networks like Google AdSense charge considerable commission fees from the funds, paid by advertisers (commission can even reach as much as 50%). From the other side, some large services with heavy load and big maintenance expenditures like Wikipedia rely 100% on the donations from its users. I have an idea to create absolutely free ad network where publishers will receive 100% of the funds, paid by advertisers. To get enough funding for the hosting and other costs (which unfortunately becomes very tangible with service's growth) I am considering to offer service's users to select a percent, which they are ready to donate when making a withdrawal. Do you think this model is viable?

I am looking for an affordable VPS, which is capable to handle relatively high load. Currently I am using virtual shared hosting, but CoinURL have significantly grown recently and this type of hosting not enough anymore. Desired price not more 2-3 BTC ($30), can pay with Bitcoins or credit card. Also good tech support and admin panel is important for me.

|
|
What is currently your share of ads? Are you able to fund proper hosting with it?
For a long time (since CoinURL launch to this day) relatively cheap virtual hosting was enough to handle load. I have paid out 100% of the advertisers' funds, but when I will move to the more powerful server I have no other choice than start charging some fee. P.S. Have you any suggestions for affordable VPS?

sorry but 20 concurrent connections is laughable This limit set by hoster. I never expected so rapid grow. About for 2 months we had about 500k daily impressions, but yesterday it increased to 1.7 million. We will consider hosting upgrade.

Hi there giantdragon, you have a great service and we will start using it on Rugatu more than before ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We just installed the banner and some users complain getting this error message in it's place: Warning: mysqli::mysqli() [mysqli.mysqli]: (42000/1226): User 'bitlatsl_coinurl' has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource Do you know what could be the cause? Glad to see you have chosen CoinURL as advertising network for the Rugatu. This error (exceeding limit of the maximum simultaneous connections to the MySQL database) happen if web hosting's server is just overloaded or experiencing performance drop due to some problem. Usually it happens during very short time interval, so you have no reason to worry. If it persists for longer time, notify me and I will call hosting's tech support.
