1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payments decline as other cryptocurrencies grow on: January 30, 2022, 04:28:59 PM
I think the answer is NO because bitpay is not the only bitcoin payment gateway and the data collection is based on bitpay users alone, so the total statistics of 65% does not reflect the total number of Bitcoin users that pay with bitcoin.
If you want to know the level of bitcoin adoption you should check the activities of wallet users active ones that way you know the percentage of Bitcoin adoption.
Well, in this case it is like a sampling and when you’re doing sampling you don’t use all the materials, rather you make use of a selected few or even one of the materials as a sample. So, we don’t have to get data from every platform, because BitPay is already serving as that sample. And even without being told, you already what would likely happen in a situation like this.

When the market is going down people would try to avoid losing their money, and therefore they would leave the market, until maybe things stabilizes or the market starts going up again. If there is the possibility of getting data from other platforms, it would also reflect the same thing.
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: January 30, 2022, 02:59:39 PM
Nice story indeed, missed it when it was posted. Personally knwow of two businesses also doing the same, just a year or two before the 2017 rally. Paid of handsomely for both, saved one during the following winter bear... For the other, allowed a huge expansion with al kinds of diversification.

Even  doing so in 2017 would have provided a windfall today. And anyone going in now would be very pleased with where they would be post next halving. Roll on, Bitcoin balance sheet!
Any company that has plans of profiting from Bitcoin, now would be the perfect time for them to start buying. If they really have plans to hold it for long term, they can go ahead and start investing now and hold in a secure wallet for them to be able to sell in the future when the market goes up again. We know for sure that Bitcoin will be going up again, so now is that perfect time.

And businesses that would invest in Bitcoin right now are really going to make huge profits out of it, because in the future that is coming, the increase in Bitcoin is going to be really huge compared to now, and we would for sure be crossing $100,000 price.
1523  Economy / Economics / Re: If you don't buy don't come here to complain on: January 30, 2022, 10:34:03 AM
They are just cowards and don't wanna join the market at all. Despite this dip, they would say "we will wait for lower prices' and the moment they knew it was already too late and keep telling you it is not the time. The yare just here to make noises and don't wanna spend a penny. They will never leave their safe zone and if the time maybe comes, the price would've been far greater than they ever imagined.
Some people think that the best time for them to start buying is when the market starts to increase in value. Can’t really tell what’s their problem, seems like they are afraid of having to hold their money in Bitcoin for a long time during the bearish trend. They just prefer to wait till when the market starts being bullish, and you would start seeing them trying rush in so that they wouldn’t miss out.

Some of them investing at the market’s peak and thereby losing their money because the market starts to plummet from there. They never want to learn their lesson. We have had enough experience in the market, and anyone who wants to learn would have learnt by now.
Unfortunately people are afraid, they are afraid because they were thought to be afraid of the market. You may think why? Like who teaches people to be afraid of the market? But, that is just a part of the living world that we do not see every single day, we just feel like, sometimes we rarely talk about it but we basically learn it by living in it. How? Well, we all know very very rich people get away with things, I am pretty sure that the number of people (or people related to) who are rich got away with as much as murder, I know a few powerful politician family members who did, it was a big deal and not like obviously got away, they just made it look like a fair trial but got away with it.

Same goes in the market, they do exactly what they can't, just because they know they will profit and get away with the punishment. So, why do ton of people sell when it is falling and get in when it is going up? Because they are afraid of what could happen otherwise.
1524  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BetFury.io|⭕️BFG in a Squid NFT World on Biswap⭕️|🏰New in-house game Tower on: January 30, 2022, 09:42:39 AM
I bet on the soccer match random bet unfortunately I forgot what team to bet on and the betting history has been deleted by betfury
I just realized that our betting history is only available a week after that it will be deleted by the system I bet on many sites usually the system deletes the history after one year  betfury has a different system.
That's indeed something that can be improved, it doesn't make sense that the bet history would already be deleted after 1 month. I checked out their sportsbook when they launched but haven't really paid attention to it anymore. I miss some good promotions like a risk free bet or something similar.
is he sure about that? upon checking my bet history, i can still see it, one was more than 5 months ago. you can check in your game history > sportsbetting > choose the currency you used > go to my bets - and you will see your bet history. since my bets are still there, it means they are not deleting the bet history after a month
I feel like it could be about how much bet you have? I mean if you have 2 bets in the last 1 year, then finding the last one could be easier, if you had 1 billion bets then finding one would be harder or might be gone. I can see it too, I do not know why others can't, but I gambled a little compared to most people, like just 100-150 bets per day and I am done for that day, so considering it is like 4-5k bets per month, I am guessing it would be easier to save mine and that is why I assumed some other people couldn't see theirs.

There are people who wager on games as much as 4-5k per day, even more, and keeping that in their data could be hard hence why they might not be showing it. Or at least that's what I thought.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: it's not that I suspect friends who exist in this forum .. on: January 29, 2022, 09:38:04 PM
I believe that fraudsters are still under the same roof in forums that have given us a lot of experience or lessons about crypto..
I ask is there no follow up with punishment like real life cheats?
and is there a way to work around this so that we are not deceived and lose money, especially the loss of our crypto assets.?
It is not a secret that people do not come here with good intentions all the time. Sometimes we just need to realize that not all people in the world are nice, there are pure bad people who are just enjoying being a criminal and scamming people or doing whatever bad thing they do.

However, sometimes we just need to realize is that some people feel like they do not have any other choice but to do the bad thing, they normally do, but the world probably made them feel that way, or they were just too quick to admit it. These people turn to crime because they feel like they do not worth a good career or a job and deserve to be a criminal and live that way until they get caught. Crypto made it harder for them to get caught, so they just hope for the best and keep on doing bad tings. We will never have zero scammers, there will always be one, because that is how people are.
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: The CIA Is Deep Into Cryptocurrency, Director Reveals on: January 29, 2022, 09:02:23 PM
I would not expect anything less from the CIA, they are after anything that does not look controllable and frankly, is probably being used worldwide to move funds around without raising suspicions. I would say that bitcoin is not precisely the most anonymous stuff out there. Monero kind of does the trick, other such as grin or perhaps some others that I am not aware of Smiley may be even better.

There may be also a possibility of the CIA paying informants as well with crypto.
Monero would be the least thing that would come to their mind. I know that Monero and some other altcoins are believed to be more anonymous than bitcoin, but the question is who even makes use of these coins? Nobody cares about these coins and you wouldn’t even see anyone using them to send and accept transactions. The only coin that is being widely accepted around the world is bitcoin.

There are many people who are making use of bitcoin and there are also many stores where it is being accepted. If there is any cryptocurrency that would likely draw their attention, it is bitcoin and not Monero. Another on would be ETH.
If you used black market then you would see who uses those coins. The reality is that people like you and me do not have a need to hide it too well, if it is in bitcoin that is hidden as much as we need and we do not need it too much. However, people who need to hide their money does use those coins, it is a smart way to hide yourself and your wealth. Think about the drug lords, they end up buying and selling crypto however they want and they can sell drugs with it and they use monero to hide that.

If they used crypto and coinbase, they would be out in a second because of KYC, this is why they use things that could hide their income. They could still cash that out and say that they invested to make a profit and they did and they made profit, but at least they would be hiding where it came from and that is how they make a profit from doing something bad and hiding it from the government.
1527  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and the economy on: January 29, 2022, 12:09:03 PM
what you need to know is that it is forbidden by religion and not by the state, because this is from several studies by religious leaders from certain countries that prohibit bitcoin as a transaction tool, and usually this is applied by countries with a majority population. population. . residents who are religious and solely directives from state officials to prohibit them according to a belief system that is considered a reference.
I don’t remember seeing in the news that there is any religion that has forbidden people from making use of cryptocurrency. In countries where Bitcoin has been banned, it is usually the government that does it, and it has nothing to do with religion.

And moreover I don’t see how making use of Bitcoin or investing in it is a sin, how exactly is that even a sin? Religion will only forbid you from doing things which are considered a sinful act in the face of God, and Bitcoin is not a sin. Bitcoin is simply a technology that was even introduced to help our lives, and I can bet that a lot of us here that our lives changed when we started making use of bitcoin.
1528  Economy / Speculation / Re: Block Rewards when Bitcoin hits $1M on: January 28, 2022, 07:08:22 PM
In fact, bitcoin does a halving every four years, so mining returns halve every four years. If the price of bitcoin reaches a million dollars, you do not have to worry about mining, mining continues whether the price of bitcoin is high or low and miners will continue mining and get Their rewards vary in value with different prices, what to worry about will happen after many years and not now when the return of mining an entire Bitcoin block is only a few satoshis.
Not exactly, I mean the higher the price the more difficulty it gets because there will be more people mining. At a certain level you have very tiny margin of profits for lower level equipment, and those close up when the price drops, but when the price is high, even a simple usb (okay maybe not that much) could mine for profit.

This is why when the price is higher, there is more hash power thrown at bitcoin and that results with higher difficulty and that results with "less" earnings. Of course this less means in bitcoin, if the price is high enough then you will still make more money in dollar terms, but some people do not care about dollar terms.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: January 28, 2022, 05:58:38 PM
Honestly I didn't see Brazil failing to win neither. Not like Brazil came out with some horrible third string level players neither, they had alisson, militao, silva, fred etc etc all the good players that they have and they still managed to fail to win. That bet probably was lost for many people, I feel like many people probably wagered on Brazil yesterday and they lost. It happens, it's football, sometimes you end up losing games and you just have to get up and continue like nothing happened.

There is really nothing that could be expected in football when the results are like this, but we could martingale out of it, next Brazil game will probably be a win.
1530  Economy / Economics / Re: Tulip Mania 2.0 on: January 28, 2022, 05:41:48 PM
Discrimination and hate towards NFT holders? We know it’s Tulip Mania 2.0, but I wouldn’t turn NFT ownership into a social issue. EXCEPT if these haters are really NFT holders who lost money in Tulip Mania 2.0. Cool

It is just people who missed out and couldn't make money from it. I personally never made a dime out of NFT world neither but I didn't went against it, some stuff just doesn't make sense to people and they do not invest and they see others make a ton of money from it.

I am an avid protestor of the shit memecoin world as well, not NFT world but the memecoin ones, but I have seen plenty of people make plenty of profit from it so I can't be too much against it, it is just how people make a profit and that's fine. All in all there is nothing we could do to stop them, just let the people who want to invest end up investing and learning from experience, that is the best teacher.
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good moves of Bitcoin. on: January 28, 2022, 05:06:24 PM
this is the reason why we must need to use STOP/LOSS because this will hinder our funds to go more losses as the bot will help us settle specially in times that we are not in front of our trading platform.
and also i know it for a fact that Altcoin is being used by whales for manipulations as they can hardly do it with bitcoin because of very High price and capitalization .
just let Bitcoin be your long term investment and use your altcoin for short term or semi long term .
Unfortunately if you use Stop/loss in a wrong way then it is going to stop your profits as well. There is no situation where you are going to end up with 100% perfect stop loss each time. Sometimes you sell and it drops more and you buy and you make a profit, but sometimes your stop loss gets triggered and then goes back up and that is how you lose money.

So, when you are using stop loss do not think of that as a sure fire way of making a profit or avoiding a loss. There are still some situations where you may end up with losing some money and that is why you should be always careful. I would say that even though stop loss was created so that you would not lose too much when you are not watching your trades, it would still be wise to check the prices frequent enough to make sure nothing is going wrong. That way you could let it do your work, but you could supervise it.

Well tastes can differ as there a lot of people who love Netflix as they make a lot of good content. This promotion, related to Squid game, also makes sense as it massive popular. So I can understand your opinion, but a lot of people think about it differently.
But I somehow did not come across such a high-quality product from Netflix.
Even if they make a film with a huge budget, it turns out to be "cardboard" nonsense and not real even compared to real Hollywood.  And, I think that all the same, people who do not like their "creativity" are more Netflix fans.
But, I must admit, Betfury marketers know better how effective their contacts with netflix will be. Smiley
When there are like 220 million subscribed to it, even though almost every single thing they put up could be find on torrent or anything like that for free, that should tell you that you are wrong. Squid game became the most watched tv show of 2021 (probably) and that should show you the amount of power netflix has and why betfury and biswap picked something like that.

I am not in support of using popularity of something else to promote yourself, if that was the case we would have seen pokemon nft play to earn already, but at the end of the day this is not about netflix. They have more than enough data to prove that they are doing the right thing and people love it, you thinking them as cardboard movies doesn't diminish their 200+ million subscription number.
1533  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 28, 2022, 01:14:54 PM
Different forks with different opinions, I have seen quite a lot of gambling sites that have hard a rough pass and this reflects on their reputation both on this forum and outside the forum, this leads me to ask what are the bad behavior of casino operators that turn you off from the site?
Being inactive here on bitcointalk. If you are not here, then I do not want to gamble in your casino. I know that casinos do not have just here, they get people from all around the world and bitcointalk is just one place. We have so many casinos in the crypto world and we see like maybe 10 decent ones in bitcointalk, whereas there are 100+ of them online (thousand if you include bad ones as well).

However, for me the real thing is that if you are here, if you have a staff that talks here, or even the founder, then I know that I could get you to talk to me in case there is a bad situation going on. Look at some of the other casinos that do not care about here, they end up doing something bad and you complain about it but nothing happens because they do not care about bitcointalk at all and they do not care if someone is complaining. This is why someone being active on bitcointalk on behalf of the casino is very important to me.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: January 28, 2022, 10:56:54 AM
Prices go up and down, is a thing that often happens in trading. because all market conditions are determined by supply and demand. so why should we panic ?. for a businessman like A16z, Alameda, Three Arrows Capital, the price drop is a great opportunity for them to buy some of the coins they like.
Such funds usually know what they are doing and they will not spend such amounts just like that, in any case, this is a good sign for the market if large funds are interested in such purchases.Usually small traders cause more panic than there really is, each fall is the same thing.
The difference is that, when you have 500 dollars income per month, and you have 3k dollars saved aside, that 3k dropping to 2k or even less, like under 1.5k, becomes a problem and something you are scared of. It is 6 months worth of salary becoming less than 3 months worth of salary. You may not "need" it now, but what happens tomorrow if you are out of work?

The more it worths means the more you can survive until you find another job. Compared to us, these rich people have millions of dollars on their bank account anyway, they will not really need money ever again, they have enough cash, and the rest goes to investments which could drop 50% and not be a problem for them, they could buy 10x more and drop that average down and be richer, they can do it because they have the money to do it, and they do not need that money anytime soon, probably ever.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: January 26, 2022, 09:19:50 PM
Galatasaray really need to improve their game immediately. I know that they are doing well in the Europa League. They have done more than just "well" actually. They finished the group stage as the leader in the end. Their performance was really mesmerizing. I watched them closely especially in the Marseille match that they got a huge win. But something is odd when it comes to the Super League. They've changed their manager but I think they shouldn't have done this. I don't think that the real problem is about the manager.
Well, they have changed their manager already and I think that now some new strategy and the change of authority is going to to help them in some ways.

But if it does not then they have to realize that the problem is not their manager but within themselves. They have to improve their game immediately and start bringing good results.
It is the roster that was built basically. First of all the roster was not build for a specific system, it was build because players were young and cheap and that is why they got them. Now, that they are missing some players as well, and some players are playing badly, it became too obvious.

Muslera saved them from many losses before, he has been in the club for a long time and he has been helping them a lot, with him gone and a horrible goalkeeper, they ended up being even worse on that front.

Midfield is near empty, nobody to note on that place, and attacking is not horrible with kerem and mustafa when they play but when they do not, then nobody else can step up. Long story short roster is horrible, go get Pep to manage this team and he won't be able to do wonders with this team, he would be better than this, but not championship level at all.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 26, 2022, 07:01:22 PM
Inter are currently only 4 points ahead of Napoli who are now in 2nd place. Italian league in the coming months will get really competitive and Inter should in no way think that they are safe on top of the table, okay?

Juventus, after having a bad start to the season, have found back their rhythm and the gap among the top 4 teams is only 10 points. One mistake and Inter will fall to 3rd or 4th place. So, I'm hoping for a thrilling Italian League.
4 points is not too easy to handle neither. I mean Inter is ahead just enough to have one bad game, aside from that they are already the better team as well if you ask me. Finishing the league is a lot harder than starting the season. Just to give an example, having 5 wins in a row on your first 5 games is much easier compared to having 5 games in a row win when you are ending the league.

Fatigue is one reason, and excitement is another. When you are that close to ending it, and there is a chance you could be champions, many teams start to have bad games, because it is so exciting. Inter has enough players that became champions so far, so they will not feel that, whereas other teams will have that which will result with them losing more points.
1537  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - We are putting 1 BITCOIN into Space!! 🚀🚀 on: January 25, 2022, 09:26:29 PM
Do you still have a game against City? If so then you can easily make that 3 points Wink Ask Rangnick to do a favor for you guys to beat City lol and that won't upset anyone here as Sportsbet already paid out City bets right?

We do, it’s at the Etihad in April. If we can get to within 6 points of Man City before that game & somehow win then it’s on. Long way to go until then though of course.
If United your enemy does do you the favor of beating them then that 3 points is done. Of course I know it's impossible to ask for all that to happen, which is for City to lose one additional game while you guys have to win everything else, including against them. My team lost the plot on La Liga a long long time ago so I am rooting for Sevilla there, Liverpool here, and Dortmund in Germany Smiley
Teams do not need to become champions to really celebrate a season. If you played well enough, as well as expected, and did not disappointed, then another team could just be even better and be champions and that's fine. Like if Arsenal finishes in top 4, that would be great right? We all know that would be great, but at the end of the day we are talking about not becoming champions there, which is a proof that you do not need to be champions to be happy with your result.

Liverpool is a great team and they do want to be champions which is understandable but finishing second with not too much points behind City would still be a cause to celebrate if you ask me. Although I am not a big fan of LFC, in fact not a fan of any team, so maybe I am just wrong, LFC could answer that better, all I am doing here is just guessing what people are thinking or would think.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the highest gas fee you have ever paid? on: January 25, 2022, 05:33:49 PM
Nothing because its not fair amount to be honest and no matter what, i will not paying massive fees just to convert my token. infact there are some other way how to cash out our erc20 token without paying massive fees and that's through bsc network which has a very low fees nowadays.. actually I've done it once using metamask wallet and swap site , although you need to configure another network in order to convert erc20 token to bsc within meta wallet but it's all worth it because the fees is too cheap.
Good choice. Say if the fee is 50 dollars in etherium and the tokens you want to sell are worth 70 dollars only, I do not think I can accept this deal even though I will be left with 20 dollars because I spend lots of time working hard just to earn those tokens in a bounty and not to mention the time that it takes to hold just to grow that value.

If you do not mind can you share the method your talking about? I still have some erc20 tokens in my wallet and i would love to convert them into cash but fees in etherium networks have not returned to normal yet. What is worst is that I can only trade them at uniswap, we know the fees on this exchange are also crazy.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Solana full of hype? on: January 24, 2022, 09:34:39 PM
Solana still has good potential and will continue to skyrocket, and happy because today the market is green again after a dip of almost 2 months and yesterday was the worst red record because many altcoins dropped more than 15%. do not hesitate to continue to invest Solana.
Maybe now would be a perfect time for those who wants to invest in the Solana market as the price continues to dip. The altcoins market is expected to go into another bullish trend, anytime this year, so now would be the perfect time for the investment in this market and hold it for a long term. If we should see another bull run it is quite that possible that the SOL value will be getting passed the last all time high price of over $200. Despite that there are people who don’t like the fact that it is centralized, but that has not been able to stop the growth of the SOL market.

it will be a very important lesson for the people who get those bitcoins. I just hope that they still hold on to the bitcoins they have, but that seems difficult considering that in 2017 the price of bitcoin was also a high pump and a lot of people were tempted to sell it at that time.
well, however, this is also a very important lesson for us that we should never underestimate the slightest gift, especially in the crypto world, because we don't know whether we are holding a diamond or not. maybe nowadays, they have stories to people that they used to have more than 25 bitcoins. well, all the way i search for bitcoin, i never have tens of bitcoins in my wallet
Bitcoin is the first crypto so if you have a better understanding with it, you will know that your holding very valuable piece and you wont just sold it immediately but selling it on the 2017 peak is also not bad judging how long they hold their btc and the starting price the btc have.

The story is nice and it makes me motivated right now to hold the prize that I won in a contest, I got the same vibes with the story because the prize also consist of consist of tokens and cash where I only got tokens because I am on the lowest level but I will surely hold the tokens because the project seems nice and the token has a utility.
