1521  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: we always regret once the price go up on: January 27, 2023, 09:11:47 AM
We all have fear but too many new crypto investors are investing money that shouldn't be invested in the first place, this spikes up your fear and you keep losing your cool whenever there is a big retracement in the market, I don't panic anymore because I use money I don't need and won't be needing for few years.

Risk is very important if you want to make it in life but play risk with money you are ready to lose, if you see anyone that keeps looking into their wallet from time to time they have invested more than they can afford to lose.
1522  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: January 27, 2023, 08:17:49 AM
Money was the root of all evil since the beginning. Doesn’t matter what country you are from. Before paper money it was probably gold which was considered the root of all evil.

Look how many crime is committed due to money. Look how much hardship people have with little money. You guys billionaires blowing money left and right and you got kids starving in many parts of the world.
I couldn't agree more, wherever there is Gold blood always flow, it makes sense to say that money is the root of all evil, but I have never seen someone driving a Bentley pack in front of a Bank and robbing a Bank, it's always those who don't have and choose the wrong way to acquire wealth, it's the same reason why powerful people loves trampling on the poor, they lack money and they will do anything for money.
1523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I might be wrong about this but I need to know on: January 27, 2023, 07:15:02 AM
I have some bad stories about cloud mining, it was one of the few ways I started my earning online journey years ago, after losing some money to MLM high yield projects that stays alive for a few weeks or months before existing scam I started the journey of cloud mining, things went smoothly for few months and one day they stop working, that's how I knew Eobot and genesis mining. There is no cloud mining that's still profitable today, even the few legit ones ends up closing down the business.
1524  Other / Beginners & Help / I need to get to the bottom of this myself on: January 27, 2023, 06:26:18 AM
Correct me if I am wrong, are developers or tech experts the only ones that can detect if a crypto wallet is simply fully open source or not? Can a random human who knows too less about a crypto wallet detect if it's open source or closed source? If yes please share me a way, I am tired of people saying a wallet is open source and some other are arguing that it's closed source, I need to get things done myself.

What and what to deep dive into to real if the wallet is open source? Or there is something else I need to learn first.
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Know any laptop wallets that have Google 2FA login? on: January 26, 2023, 03:47:45 PM
In your case you have to choose between Trust wallet or Guarda wallet, there are a few reasons why I like Guarda, it's also a non-custodial crypto wallet, and the user's data are saved on their devices instead of cloud shit that one Solana wallet did that cost people to lose thousands of dollars, I have forgotten the name.

• Crypto buy and sell is available in the wallet through direct exchange purchase, Trust wallet has same feature but Binance exchange only.

• 300+ tokens plus coins is supported.

• Extra layer security is available.

• Face ID and Fingerprint Authentication is available on mobile and only unique password is available for PC users.
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 26, 2023, 02:27:55 PM
I have put a pause to buy any coins right now including Bitcoin, I am tempted to buy some but I don't see myself doing it, buying because the market is recovering is pretty bad, it's not as if there will never be any correction again it's better to wait for that correction because sooner or later it will happen, there is one thing I can assure you in this crypto space, volatility is inescapable.
1527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exit liquidity on: January 26, 2023, 12:32:27 PM
It takes a loyal influencers to announce at the beginning of his Youtube video that he or she is been paid to talk about this particular crypto project before proceeding, I've only seen very few do this and most are into pump and dump strategy, they bought at very low price and start talking about the tokens on Youtube so streamers can develop an interest too. I've made money this way I won't lie but later I found out about this strategy, since then I lose interest.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is this safe to say this about casino platforms on: January 26, 2023, 11:15:58 AM
Is it safe to say that casino platforms is running their business with users find only? I read somewhere that they pay winners with losers money, I couldn't ask him or her if a casino can start business with zero fund at hand, I know that most of them wired their system to favour them more ( lose more and win less ) , if not they will run out of business fast I belief, what do you think about this? Was I wrong about this? Come to think of this, there is no prove that they have some money to pay winners.
1529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason why I will never help anyone to invest in crypto on: January 26, 2023, 09:23:47 AM
Maybe you hype the success stories more than the ugly side of crypto investment? I prefer telling people about how stupid mistakes could make them lose everything in crypto than telling them they can make a life changing money, and if any still stand after the frightening side of crypto investment warnings then the person may be ready to learn.

Do not waste your time on people who are not ready to work and take responsibility but want all the goodies for themselves.
1530  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Air conditioning and miners on: January 25, 2023, 10:19:41 AM
Make a deal with the office owner, create new windows or expand the present one, I've seen people do this and it works just fine, I went to engineering school and I learnt that air conditioners are very bad for electronics, there are times where I have to dry a electronic panel of either Laptop or LCD Tv before they start working, the users are using these machines in a office with A/C on every day.
1531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What could make you start using a new crypto wallet today? on: January 25, 2023, 09:08:45 AM
There is absolute to need to change your crypto wallet if the one you are using is far more reliable, we are not using crypto wallets to show off because of new implementations of any kind, we use crypto wallets to safely secure our assets and nothing more. If you are ready to take the risk with a new crypto wallet because they are new then you are on your own because new wallets can be vulnerable to attacks at launch, wait for proper reviews before installing a new wallet.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 25, 2023, 08:32:39 AM
I moved out of my old rented house to a smaller duplex and I am loving it, I can't afford the payment anymore and its affecting me too much, I just decided to lower my living standard, at least some people do not have a roof over their head, if I can still afford something lower its better and since that time I have been able to at least safe some money.

Sometimes you really need to lower your standard way of living to grow, you may not like it but that's fine, the bad thing about this decision is if your spouse doesn't understand, but mine does. Switching from a 600$ rented house to a 300$ rented house is not bad.
1533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is bitcoin a good chance for the future on: January 25, 2023, 06:22:21 AM
You can't loss money investing in bitcoin and you come at the right time since we are still in a bear market right now, the worst that could happen is if you get tired of holding and sell at a loss, if you invest the money you won't be needing any time soon you will reap good profits.

This can take a long time that's why using money you don't need is important, to see a new all time high again with bitcoin you may have to keep holding till 2025, are you ready for this?

There are reasons why people trust Bitcoin that's why I will like to advice you to start doing your own research, you need to understand why Bitcoin is valuable and also how to protect your fund, for beginners I recommend Electrum wallet or a hardware wallet, and do not share your seed or private key with anyone, it is meant to care for like how you treat your ATM card pin code. Do not share with anyone.

1534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please Help, Am Running low on ideas. on: January 24, 2023, 04:01:24 PM
No one is forcing you to make posts, I see you are wearing a signature code and the required number of posts per week is not that much, if you don't have anything to talk about just engage in different discussions, you can also call it a quit just for a day, tomorrow is another day. You don't have to create new topics if you have too less to discuss about the topic, I see some people creating topics and never go back to discuss about other people's opinion.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main reason government won't fully accept bitcoin on: January 24, 2023, 02:32:54 PM
I don't fully accept.

You said the government won't be able to print Bitcoin like Fiat, but they can manipulate the price by releasing a deadly virus to give faded hope to humanity so they can grab every chance ..

They call Bitcoin fraud and later behind the scene they buy as many as they can, how sure are you that the government isn't buying bitcoin for years already, they can't beat Bitcoin, accepted, but they can join the train and create fear and panic to drop the price.

Do you know that people are paying taxes on their Bitcoin holdings? That's bringing in money as well, there are ways they can still monetize this crypto space as a whole, do not underestimate those people.

It's a good thing that Satoshi Nakamoto is unknown, he knew what will happen if he came out in the open.
1536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best wallet to use as beginner on: January 24, 2023, 01:20:27 PM
Metamask wallet is the simplest for crypto beginners but not the most secured on to use, and because Metamask is an add-on this makes it very dangerous when interaction with websites and airdrops, I am very sure that newbies are more into airdrops so yes metamask is the most preferable for airdrops and testnet.

For average investor I prefer Electrum wallet and Trust wallet and I don't store more than 200$ on these wallets because I now use a hardware wallet which is the most secured for every crypto investors.

Closed source wallets are always from centralized platforms and exchanges like Coinbase for example, be careful with the wallet you decide to use, Mycelium wallet, Exodus wallet, Ledger and Trezor are the only genuine wallets on OP list, others are crypto exchbages mixed with custodial wallets aka centralised / closed source wallets, stay away.
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: January 24, 2023, 09:34:58 AM
That's not an excuse, before the grid power start misbehaving they should have know the situation they are into, a backup generator or diesel would have safe the live of the livestocks instead of relying on grid power, how can poultry lacks backup generator, they say it coming one way or the other and they failed to prepare. It's the owner's fault.
1538  Other / Off-topic / No such thing as too much security on: January 24, 2023, 08:15:23 AM
If this is your first time knowing about crypto make sure you tighten your security, there is no such thing as too much security because belief me scammers aren't playing, they are ready to prey on any mistake or stupid things you do unknowingly.  Here are a few guides on how to tighten your security

• If you are a PC user always keep your software and operating system up to date because they come with the latest security patches, this discourages known vulnerability to hackers.

• Get used to Firewall, it's very good for blocking unknown networks or unauthorized access on your computer.

• Always scan your PC using a reputable Antivirus program, I have been able to detect and remove malware this way a few times before.

• Public WiFI network is a big Red Flag, avoid using them, there are ways hackers nailed you hard using Public WiFI 📶 network.

• It's not bad using a VPN to encrypt your internet connection, it protects your data from hijackers.

• Be careful of the information you share online, for example through messaging apps like Telegram or Twitter, scammers are very active on them and they are waiting for their next victim to prey on, personal information should remain personal.

• Do not open links or mails that you receive from unknown senders, this is going rampant as one of the most dangerous way of scamming people online today.

Do not sleep on these advice as hacks happens every minute online this day, be very vigilant and always look into your network just to make sure no one is connected to your network ( through IP addresses ). Stay blessed and stay safe.
1539  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't get scammed because of wallet upgrade on: January 23, 2023, 04:46:26 PM
I use more than one email address for different reasons and I got a scam message in all three email addresses, it's about metamask and I am familiar with this trick, I just feel like sharing here because we always have newbies joining the forum almost all the time.

A scam metamask mail was sent out to my email addresses two days ago, at first I don't seem to care because it's not new but I got the same message of all three email addresses which prompt me to share on here.

I am pretty sure that the metamask team has no mail ID and also the wallet never ask for email address when creating a new wallet account, so the question is how did they get your email address? This is a RED FLAG.

The link directs me to a page link platform that asks you to insert your metamask recovery seed to proceed.

They must have gathered hundreds or thousands of email addresses and used some kind of messaging tool to send out the scam mail alert in a single click. If you are new to crypto stay away from email messages, some are scams and they won't end up in SPAM Folder.
