Hey everyone, just wondering what block sizes people are using now to maximise their stakes etc?
I'm interested to know what is the optimal size of a block, for staking, From what I understand the great difficulty as well be in small blocks. May be under 1k. Someone who has an opinion about it?

I would try not to make blocks less than 4k, unless you have a good amount of patience. This means that most of the time you will hit 1k reward, but sometimes if you are lucky you will get below 1k. Most blocks being staked are hitting 1k now. Inflation control in action Grin

Thanks presstab. from Your opinion 6000 or 8000 block size is better than 4000?

Confirmations 0 / 6 within an hour Huh

From more 2 hours ago I sent balls and now Confirmations is 0 / 6. What happend?
@iGotSpots please explain what happend in this situations? Thx!

Nothing happened. That's the problem. You stacked your coins on top of everyone else's to sell and they got stuck during slow blocks because of too many people moving coins before the new fork. Now you gotta wait out a bad decision

4 hours ago I sent balls and now Confirmations is 0 / 6. Bad, bad, bad

I give up. Broken record and all that
Ñow is very well. before 6 hours is ok. Be patince all!

same here, 189722... weird...

I bought 5k about 30min ago and transferred to my wallet. They show as unconfirmed in my wallet(0 of 6 confirmations). Block stuck at 189722, just as you stated.

^^^^ Same here, unconfirmed, block stuck, AND previous deposit of 12,500 gone missing altogether...w t f...

That's the current block. You aren't stuck, they are just slow as fuck until we fork it

I bought the poloniex 9k balls, I sent in wallet for over 15 hours but zero confirmations. What is going on?

Thx presstab do not understand this <#ofthreads>

Think of threads as how many processes your CPU will run. So 1 would be a lighter load on your CPU than 4.

"setgenerate true 16" is ok?

Sure, just see how it goes.
Before i question you about debug comand i send "setgenerate true" and wallwt blocked. Now wallet not load
message is: This application has requested the runtime to terminate it on usual way. Please contact the app suport team

What need now?
I restarted wallet and now is ok. Thank you very much. I send you on hyp addres in PM. Thx again! Good luck!

Got testnet up and running for HYP. As you can see in the code, it came complete with a premine scam Grin
Code:
if(nHeight == 1)
nSubsidy = 50000000 * COIN; // 50 million premine for testnet so we can be rich
else
   nSubsidy = 1000 * COIN;

PM me if you want some coins to mess around with, don't post your testnet address here please.

Here is a windows binary - https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/releases/download/v1.1/HyperStake-qt-v1.1.0.2-withtestnet-windows.zip

To connect use: HyperStake-qt.exe -testnet -addnode=192.241.233.70
PoW is active for testnet, so go ahead and use "setgenerate true" in the debug console.

I downloaded https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/releases/download/v1.1/HyperStake-qt-v1.1.0.2-withtestnet-windows.zip I unziped and now not understand yet how I connect using: HyperStake-qt.exe -testnet -addnode=192.241.233.70

I am a newbie in POW, please explain me. Thx.

Yes those are startup switches from command line.
Open command line, then change your directory to where the .exe is
Code:
cd c:\users\presstab\hyp
HyperStake-qt.exe -testnet -addnode=192.241.233.70

Do that and it should launch the wallet in testnet mode and connect to the correct peer. Then in the wallet you can go to debug "setgenerate true <#ofthreads>". I ran 16 threads and was CPU mining PoW blocks pretty quick. Feel free to send me your testnet address and I will send you some of the premine when I get to the correct wallet.

Thx presstab do not understand this <#ofthreads> "setgenerate true <#ofthreads>"

My first clue that something was amiss this morning was when the network weight was less than 50,000 and a bunch of stuff wanted to stake rapidly.

I´m glad that I dug through the forums and learned about the hard-fork.  Grin

Today I downloaded bootstrap and before that I had around 300,000 Hyp. After I downloaded and I resync bootstrap wallet, I just 246,567 Hyp. So I had to do this operation staking thousands daily. On 16 February I received about 20,000 Hyp, but now after resync. last day of minting in wallet appears to be on 13. Can you explain me why this happens? Sorry for my poor english.

If I may ask. I know balls rewards where changed to a min stake of I think from 24 hrs to about 8.8 days. Can you tell us with the upcoming forked if the min stake age will be changed and what to?

Back to 24 hours. It will stake as often as it did before, but the amounts will be different
Thx iGotSpots for the changes. the amounts will be different in plus or in minus?

Both
very interesting. total anual reward in percent?
