1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble? on: July 19, 2022, 11:50:13 PM
Aside from profits, there are really other things why we gamble? For fun? For entertainment? Self-satisfaction?

Whatever they called it, it's all ended up on getting profits. Those who are saying they gamble for fun do have a desire to win. The same goes for entertainment or any other various reasons they are mentioning just to save their real excuse why they gamble.

If they won in gambling, those purposes will be achieved. That's the only reason why people gamble, to expect profits in return.

Other reasons are just for covered-up.
1522  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: July 16, 2022, 11:50:51 PM
But, what about those casinos that do not have an ANN on the forum?

Then it will now depend on your level of research and observations.

- Why used them even if there's no ANN thread here?
- What promotions or bonuses did you see why you consider using that site?

But if the question is;

- Do you ignore casinos that don't have an ANN thread?

If yes, then just forget anything about that site with no ANN thread here.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 16, 2022, 11:30:19 PM
And why OWL keeps on going up in price? Honestly their site doesn't seem to be very unique or impressive - anyone has a credible explanation who is behind the price rise of that OWL token?! Huh

I think it's not just because of the gambling site but also the noticeably good volume that is in good progress before.

It catches the attention of some traders (not actually gamblers) that might be the reason why they list OWL on their respective portfolios. It's like other altcoins that experience ups and downs regardless of the main reason why it happened that way.

But it's not that OWL is on the hype. Just another day in crypto although the fact that they hit ATH recently, that's a worth coin to list on our portfolio.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 16, 2022, 11:20:59 PM
I just saw the news that there are words from Nietes. He said that he may be defeated against Ioka but that doesn't mean that he's going to retire already.

He's still able to fight with world titles.

So, that's the clue that his fans are waiting for and to answer the rumors about his retirement and won't fight again. But, who he is going to fight for the next match? Still too early to guess.

Although I don't like the idea of his decision we have to respect that. But for sure, his next match would be against boxers on the lower rank tier. He won't have a shot once again at a title match now especially since he will be over 40 years of age before he will be qualified. He can't also match those boxers that are currently in prime or just past their prime.

The "ahas" in Nietes' body is not that deadly anymore and is also close to retirement.

If he thinks he can still fight then go. I just hope his good record won't add another loss or maybe he doesn't care for it anymore as the goal is to earn more money while his retirement is now approaching and nearing. If there's an offer just grab it while he can.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2022, 11:06:09 PM
The Lakers traded some of their young and best bench players like Kuzma, KCP and Caruso which is one of the best in defense just to get Westbrook. Turns out that it became worse for them. The players who helped the team get a title got traded to different teams just to get a player where they expect that will help the team get another title again, but it didn't happen.

Kyle Kuzma is a joke so trading him is good. He even claimed he's the number 3 behind LBJ and AD but what happened. He is very consistent from being always an off-night player. He explodes but only a few times. There are lots of games where LBJ and AD are sidelined and he was expecting to step up but still a failed one. His fellow co-teammate on Lakers, Brandon Ingram is much better than him. That's the mistake that the Lakers did in a package that sent Davis to them.

But I can't apply the same case with Kuzma and KCP as these players are surely worth keeping but the Lakers decided to trade them.

Instead of blaming the game, they just have to do everything to make a better team. And Lakers management is not that shit to be influenced by Lebron. Who told others that it's Lebron the reason why Westbrook was signed by the Lakers. Huh
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 16, 2022, 10:40:54 PM
If Matthew Wright won't be playing anymore this conference then that's a big loss to the Phoenix FuelMasters. Wright is now considered the face of the franchise and the main key scorer for their team. His absence will have an impact on the FuelMasters.

According to the article shared above, the wedding is on the 24th plus of course the honeymoon and vacation period, even if Phoenix will reach the Finals, no way for him to return from the action. Coach Topez will need to conceptualize a strategy on how to fill the hole that Wright left.

Looking forward to some of their key players, RJ Jazul, RR Garcia, Encho Serrano, etc. to step up every of their games. Their last elimination game is against Ginebra later today, Sunday. That was a tough team to beat without Phoenix' main man.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rakeback and promotions for limited time on: July 16, 2022, 10:28:34 PM
Might be better to just ignore Rakeback or any promotions and just focus on winnings.

It's not that it should be totally ignored but it will be a surprise bonus for us if such promotions exist once we realized that there's a thing like that on the gambling site that we are playing with. Imagined, we just do gambling as usual then after a long period of time, we will find out that we have an active bonus from playing.

Aside from that, with the purpose of achieving the promotions bonus or any kind, it needs lots of patience and money as obviously, there's a requirement for that and might be difficult for those who don't gamble regularly.

Just play on our usual, maintain winnings and let the bonus just come without us noticing it.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 16, 2022, 10:18:54 PM
Well, nowadays majority of the crypto gambling websites offer instant withdrawals,so I doubt this is priority for crypto gambling community. There were more anonymous casinos or bookies few years ago while it is hard to find reliable gambling platform nowadays. Promotions are important to bring more customers as first step btw.

Do you mean users prefer to prioritize mostly the way or method of withdrawals compared to deposits? Maybe that was true.

If I'm not mistaken and if my memory serves me right when the topic is about looking for factors in choosing casinos, it's always mentioned by most users that withdrawals should be fast and methods are those preferred by the majority. I didn't see yet much concern regarding deposit methods.

Either way, it's always a good consideration that gambling sites accept several deposit methods and are not just limited by a few options only.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 16, 2022, 10:10:52 PM
I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets , or anything related to the sport gambling, i know a lot can say its a kind of protest but still really unclear.

Only the trust in that league is damaged, not the other leagues especially those big and popular. Therefore, sports betting will be alive and active as usual.

So sad that such an incident happened in some part of the globe but nothing we can do with it as that's already a common and shady business in sports.

I hope those people, starting from officiating to players, will be penalized and banned from the sports as well. These people didn't realize what they are giving up in exchange for the money. Do we have an official report or news related to this? Good to see the follow-up story on that video.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 14, 2022, 11:28:31 PM
I think Casimero is now the best fighter in the Philippines, if only his title was not stripped, he could fight Inoue and we will see how far Inoue could go against him. I believe that Casimero will become a champion soon, and we will have a Filipino champion to follow again.

I'm not sure about that. He is having a problem maintaining his shape and weight, NOT ONCE but TWICE.

He is given enough time to work on that but still, he failed to deliver it successfully prior to the rescheduled date of his title defense against Butler. If he doesn't have that condition, I will agree that Casimero might be the strongest and currently the best fighter in the Philippines.

Naoya Inoue is a big thing and he won't be called a monster for no reason. He is 100% always in shape every time he fights. Casimero will just be a punching bag for Inoue if the former can't do something about his weight problems. Inoue is much quicker than Casimero while having a destructive punch at the same time.

Off-topic now and OP can now lock this thread.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 14, 2022, 11:09:09 PM
They already rid of their coach, Vogel so that is a good move already. And obviously, Westbrook is not a fit for them, so that too will be the best move for their franchise and we can say that it was a wrong trade for them witt Washington.

Before, I think too that firing Vogel is a good move but is that really considered as one of the solutions for the Lakers' mess last season?

My answer is NO. The team struck with injuries and poor adjustment last season. That's the thing that I can't blame on their coach. Not saying Westbrook is good but since he already has experience playing a season for the Lakers, I can expect him to make some good adjustments next season.

There's no need for the Lakers to actually get another big package in exchange for Westbrook. It's another chemistry building again which the Lakers suck.
Keep everything on the core and just revamp the bench. Give it a season more before considering breaking again the core players. The cycle will just never stop.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 14, 2022, 10:40:07 PM
I don't really like calculations using tables to accumulate finances in terms of gambling. Because usually it is often done by people who are too economist in terms of spending. The struggle is still entertainment, and in this case, taking into account every time we lose I believe the defeat is much bigger than what we get. Certainly not too free to bet. But your advice is indeed effective for them in terms of controlling finances.

Same here. I know others are recording everything but for me using Excel, notes, or sheets to record our winning and losing is not even my option.

Don't get me wrong here and I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's just that, it's something a hassle thing for me to do and it won't make me a better gambler in general. As long as I am able to control my threshold in every of my betting session, be it on sports betting or slot games, I can manage my bankroll and finance properly. That's what matters here.

Besides, if there's a time that I need to look at my betting stats, history of winnings, and losing, that should be all recorded on our gambling site by default.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 14, 2022, 10:30:31 PM
it's already a different story as most casinos now are asking us for details to approve the withdrawal of our winnings.

Is this a crypto-casino you are referring to?

I don't know that something like that exists nowadays. Do you mean for every withdrawal? What I know is that it's just applied for big winnings but we are not talking about $1,000 winnings should be subject right away to KYC. It's been always on the terms that big winnings might require KYC but we don't know what amount is considered big winnings. Maybe starting from $10,000? $15,000? We don't know.

May we know what crypto-casinos are asking for our details to approve our withdrawal?
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: July 14, 2022, 10:16:20 PM
I will also admit that slot themes play a big role in me when choosing slots. I am more attracted to fruit-based themes and Egyptian-based themes.

There's a feeling in me that I'm always lucky whenever I played at those themes. Since we are just relying on luck on slot games, therefore, at least we pick themes based on our favorites. I like those flashy graphics whenever I'm hitting the free spins bonus and multipliers. Much more entertaining if the total profit after free spins is totally decent and a big win. Sometimes, I even disregard any factors just to play in my favorite slot themes.

Nice effort compiling the list but there are themes that are not familiar to me or even exist. I don't even encounter some of those.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 13, 2022, 11:45:56 PM
Tough year for Philippine boxing. The chance of getting another world title now vanished.

Now what, we don't have any possible match for the title match right? Our boxers should now line up again for the title shot.

Nonito Donaire, who loses the WBC bantamweight doesn't have any chance now for the title
Rene Mark Cuarto, who loses the IBF minimumweight title has to be lined up again
John Riel Casimero, who loses his WBO bantamweight title by default because of weight issues, the future is not clear
Mark Magsayo, who loses the WBC featherweight might not get a rematch for the title and have to line up too
Donnie Nietes, who loses recently, might hang his gloves now

Did I miss someone?

When will PH have again another world titleholder? That's the question.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 13, 2022, 11:30:49 PM
To be honest I don't see them gonna reach the last round and their victory will be decided by the judges scorecards because that would be no fun at all unless one of them dominated the other to win a unanimous decision.

I disagree with you that if any case that the match will be decided by decision, it would be no fun. What if the majority of the rounds are all intense and their exchanges of blows are impressive that we didn't know who will win until the final bell rang.

I'd rather see that kind of match even it will end up in a decision. Not all fights that end up in a decision are not fun and entertaining.

Knowing also the capability of both Terence Crawford and Errol Spence, they won't surely allow themselves to be KO and will try to remain standing strong until the last round. This fight is very important to them and staying away from being KO will be one of their priority.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 13, 2022, 11:07:38 PM
chances are they will persist and be willing to do anything because of their previous belief they are already safe with the site. but this will certainly be a pros and cons later if the gambling platform enforces kyc. well at least 10% of active players will probably opt out first to consider having to do kyc.

I think if that time comes, other popular and reputable gambling sites are also having a mandatory KYC.

Therefore that 10% might stay and won't probably be out of that said site. Imagine that a site with the big name already enforced KYC means that the regulations on most crypto gambling sites are now strictly implemented. For me, it's not that really a big deal if things turned out like that since nothing we can do in the first place.

But as much as possible, the KYC should not be forced to be strict at crypto-gambling sites since the no-KYC is one of the big reasons why we choose to play here.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 12, 2022, 11:55:32 PM
If the rumors are true that Blackwater is a farm team, we cannot expect that their roster will remain intact. Look what happened to Ray Parks, Blackwater traded him to TNT and the team struggled after he got traded. So, the same scenario could happen, whoever their best player is.

They traded Ray Parks because of the offer that they can't match. Parks during that time have an option to ask for a trade. Blackwater doesn't have the ability to pay their players with a good contract that's why it's easy for top teams to acquire good players on lower teams.

If you are Ray Parks, do you really want to play for this team like Blackwater? Definitely not and will choose a competitive team with a higher salary as there are lots of offers that Parks received at that time, not just TNT. Parks will demand a trade and they can't stop him.

It's business but lower teams are not pursuing having a good and competitive team because even if they do, they can't match SMC and MVPs offered contracts and players will choose to play for top teams instead as benefits are awesome.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 12, 2022, 11:43:22 PM
Ruiz is actually insulting Golovkin. He is indirectly stating that GGG is incapable of defeating Canelo. I am not sure how Golovkin would respond to it. From what I have seen so far, Golovkin has stayed out of theatrics.

Maybe a part to hype the fight that's why Ruiz is joining the party.

Remember recently, when Canelo trash-talk and insult GGG in their press conference which the latter didn't respond. GGG was surprised by Canelo's action saying it was unusual of him and not really necessary to do so in front of the media.

I like the attitude of GGG there not reacting to Canelo's behavior. Maybe GGG thinks that Canelo is still under the effect of his bitter loss against Bivol and may be shy to face him as he won his recent match against Murata.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 12, 2022, 11:29:12 PM
We should not make things complicated. If we do gamble, make sure that be responsible at all times. I don't believe that a certain capital should only be used. It can't even be followed most of the time. It's a distraction for me honestly.

Regardless, know when to stop and not to push through too much even if it's hard to resist.

I'm not setting any threshold or what. That's not even necessary and helpful. As long as I think that something is going wrong now in the middle of my betting session, I will stop and take a break, maybe several hours or another day. Then come back later and will attempt to do another round.
